Madzimoyo placed himself in the crowd among other babysitters watching over the youngest of the pride, even though he wasn't technically on that duty himself. They'd never seen such a celebration before and to see their elders acting like cubs in their joy fascinated them to the point of stillness. He remarked on it to one of the others. "At about the point they should be quiet they'll have gotten over it," he predicted.

He took note of Clerm so close to the male who was to be joined to his mate this day. She looked lovely and proud of her "brother." He looked around wondering were Ezili and Ayizan were. He hadn't seen Clerm's son since he'd moved on to warrior training, but often saw Ezili who looked to Zimo still as a trusted friend.

Zimo's voice joined the welcome of the bride as a familiar voice spoke the same words softly beside him. He grinned reasuringly at Ezili knowing how hard it was for her to be even this close to the center of pride activity.

Red cheeks glowed as the adolescent lioness slipped around the outskirts of the celebration. Ezili had grown nervous and aloof still not quite sure of her place. She very much wanted to be part of the celebration but worried that some would be less than festive with her around. Scanning the crowd from the shadows, she spotted the familiar gleaming leg markings of her friend Madzimoyo, markings of a more acceptable shade than her own cheek markings.
She eased her way closer, grinning at the babysitters that were familiar with her and had accepted her. Still it was Zimo that she had been seeking; he was her touchstone as much family to her as her mother and brother. They had a lot in common. She could talk to Zimo about anything because he truly understood were she was coming from. She slid into a place beside him just as the bride arrived and she joined the pride in greeting her. "I see you, Sister."

Kakarauri mingled with the pride dancing and singing in joy with the rest. It was such a festive occassion and Rauri truly felt a part of things, one with the People that had accepted her and her twin not so long ago. A few of her failed hunting partners did a double take as she danced by so carefree and she laughed. There was a time for dance and play and a time for work. Rauri took her duties very seriously, to see her let loose like this was quite foreign to them. A few joined her in song and dance but she cooly moved on through the crowd. It was their own faults she considered them less than worthy of her full attention. Now would be a good time to mingle with members of the pride the huntress didn't normally get to meet. Perhaps there would be someone worth the time among them.
She paused to admire the handsome lion who was the center of the festivities and winked at her hunting partner who was near him, "sister" to him. And then their king called for silence as Rukopa-eupe made her way forward, and Rauri joined the pride in welcoming her. "I see you, Sister!"

There was no lying. Zelt'sin was a little upset at the fact that Eycu said nothing to her comment. She didn't like the fact that nothing was said to her. But she shrugged it off she wasn't going to be selfish there was love in the air and she was very happy about that. She loved it when everything like this was going on, she loved times like this and she wasn't going to let something small make her angry. She was quiet for a little while waiting tfor her kind to speak. Once he did however she cheered and shouted along with the others. "I see you sister!" She chuckled some flicking her hair out of her eyes ,she was hoping the lioness was happy she was happy to see everyone this full of joy. It really took her back to all of the other marriages. Marriages made her extremely happy. She was glad to share the happiness with the rest of the pride.

Ney'ite turned toward her uncle and smiled at him. "I see you." She greeted once more because pausing for a moment flicking her hair out of her eyes and then wiggling her toes under her before turning toward him once again. "I am. Everything is falling into place. It's weird to think about at times." She glanced at the white male once again. She didnt want to go see him. She didn't know what to do with herself. She sighed for a quick moment before turning toward him once again. She was about to speak once again before she caught sight of the male's mate coming her way. She ducked her head back to the female. "I see you sister." She was feeling a little awkward at the moment not that sure of what to do with herself at the moment. "I will talk to you later uncle." She commented simply as she started to trot else where trying to see what she could do at the moment. There had to be some one around here to talk to or something to do. She wasn't exactly in the mood for celebrating. But she was starting to head over to the Bride anway to at least share some words of happiness and show her face.

Txep'tey sang out his greeting to the bride though just as he did, he spotted the familiar pelt of his sister Ney'ite leave their uncle and trot into the crowd. Altering his own direction he slipped through the dense throng and into her path where he waited, head up and eyes tracking her. When she drew close he smiled and stepped forwards, closing the distance and weaving round the last few lions between them to set himself at her side.

"I see you, sister."

Despite or perhaps because of his vantage point at the head of the gathering, stood beside Kaym'itan, he spotted the young heiress arrive and instantly greet the dark uncle of the family. One ear flicked back in displeasure as Toruk watched them covertly, vibrant yellow eyes narrowed. There was something about the King's brother that disturbed him. Oh the male's predilection to heretic vocalizations was well known in a small group, and he had even seemed to settle of late, yet something about him still bothered the pride's Toruk Makto. Yet his job was not to watch internally, but to keep his eyes and ears directed tot he pride's boarders and beyond. Still, he couldn't help the twitch that slid through him when ever he set eyes on the purple-marked male.

Huffing to himself softly he shook off the bad feelings Kerusey always gave him and returned his attention to the important part of the day, Kaym and his soon-to-be mate.

Kaym'itan leaned back into the paw on his shoulder, taking comfort from both his cubhood friend and his 'sister'. Eywa had blessed him tenfold even as she had taken away. Had things been different it would have been his blood siblings who stood beside him, and for a brief moment the Night Scout felt their loss keenly, until the crowd of lions stilled, and all eyes turned to look at his bride.

The warrior's heart held its breath, and his crimson eyes gazed over the white lioness who was his atokirina. As she stood at the back of Hometree, the pale moonlight bathing her pelt a silvery glow, he found himself settle, a peace descending on him like a mantle. Yes, Eywa had taken, but she had given him a gift that was unmatched. He let the image of his bride form in his mind, for whatever came from this moment on, it would be this memory of her in the grace of Eywa and the adoration of their People he would carry in his heart.

Had Kaym'itan not been looking directly at Ru, he would not have seen the young heiress move away from her uncle, or caught the odd...feeling...that unsettled him. Some instinct inside him became aware, and without thinking a low growl came from him. So soft only Clem and Toruk would hear it.

The veteran warrior lifted his head, his whole body stilling as the nervousness washed away from him as if it had never been. He met his love's eyes with gentle crimson ones, but those who knew him best, knew something had happened, and the grim faced male had moved from nervous groom, to protective husband in the space of a few breaths.

As the Pride called out to Ru, it was his voice that was the easiest heard, the deep rumble of it filled with emotion that was complex, but laced with love, " Oel ngati kameie, I See You..."

Ears perked at the mellowing sounds of the celebration as she approached the pride of lions before her. At one time, she believed herself to be an outcast, but now she no longer had thoughts of that. She was one with the pride; one with the people. The many greetings of ‘I see you, Sister’ had just emphasized that to her so any remaining thoughts would now be disbanded.

As she passed each member lined on the ground (and those in the trees above), she nodded quietly an “I see you, Brother,” or “I see you, Sister”. The lioness held a smile as wide as the amount of flutters that bounced in her belly. The butterflies soon began to settle, her cornflower blue eyes catching sight of what would in just a few moments be her mate, her everything.

The next seconds that went by felt almost as if time had completely stopped. The music, the smell, the pride, all gone. For just a moment it was Rukopa-eupe and Kaym’itan; no one else mattered right now.

“Oel ngati kameie,” she said formally to her blue lion, a toothy smile flashing after she spoke.

Time had flown since being in the pride. She could not believe a day like today had already come.

Sata was already moving towards his uncle’s mate when he realized what he was doing. This was a night to celebrate the pride and the People, not the moment to indulge on the things he did on every other day. The young lion made an abrupt turn and headed towards his parents, giving his stern-looking sister a light bump and a wink before he sat next to her. He eyed the happy couple with a wider grin and for once his mind stayed off the deepest part of the forest.

"They look happy." he said out loud, to one in particular. They looked like a good match and reminded Sata of his parents in a way.

Eytucan watched the lioness as she approached everyone, the greetings of his people loud and happy and proud. His people, were celebrating once again! It was times like this that brought happiness to his dreams and honor to his heart. He felt as though being King was made only for this, for seeing such joy. He lifted his head, his eyes gleaming.

"Tonight we celebrate a union between these two. A special bond that only love and trust can contain! When hearts bind together as one and tails unite to form a rope, to hold us all together. As cubs we join tails with our parents and as adults, we join them with our mates." He turned to Zelt and entwined his tail with hers. "We look forward to the day when tails unite and hammocks are shared. Soon, cubs will weigh down the hammock as well... at least we all hope! With the birth and the aging of my own children, I desire to hear children's laughter again."

He looked down to the newly weds. "I hope you are blessed to have many children!" And with this, he raised himself on his hind paws, his front paws against his chest and breathed a loud and might roar.

Jubes looked dreamy eyed at the two as they neared. She sighed, her elbow on the branch as she watched. Someday she wanted to find true love, but for now she'd happily stare at the handsome fellow not far below her. She looked to Silron, her eyes soft. "I can't wait for that to be me!" She said quietly, before turning her attention the king and his talking. A smile grew on her face in anticipation. The time was getting closer. She wrapped her paws around the flowers, her tongue almost sticking out.

Almost. ALMOST.

As soon as Eytucan released his roar, she threw her own head back and released one too, only she shoved all the flower petals in her reach off the vine and down below, covering the couple.

Silron made a face at Jubes, at her gross loviness. Bleh. He shook his head of it. He hadn't even began to think about it really. Girls. Females. Mates. He liked his hammock as it was, with his parents not there nor his many siblings. They had recently created their own hammocks and were sleeping alone now, though not far from their parents. He scoffed at Jubes. "Yeah right!" He said, though he knew it wouldn't be long until Jubes probably had a mate, she was too pretty.

He wasn't paying attention too well when she had gotten down in anticipation, her eyes bugged out like that. He looked down, in time for his fathers roar to startle him. He sat there wide eyed, before realizing he was supposed to be joining in. So the threw back his head and roared.

Pietr couldn't stop watching Ney'ite. He was so confused to how she showed that male attention, though he had no reason to say anything. He just knew how Kerusey was. Perhaps it was because they looked so similar, but... he just didn't understand. He sort of lowered his eyes for a moment, before the kind began to speak again and he lifted his head, shutting his eyes. Someday this would be his ceremony and then soon after, he would lead.

Eywa let it not be too soon He thought, before roaring.

Satomi stepped away from her mate, and future queen. She had duties to still tend to, this was one of her busiest days, with a soft smile, and a gentle nod of her head, she continued forward now.

Stepping silently behind her queen and king, she made her way up into the hamhocks, towards those who rained flowers upon the pride, checking in with those here and there until her gazed fell upon Jubes and Silron.

She laughed softly, "Enjoying yourselves?" she asked with a smile.

Ysander smiled, and as her father, and siblings roared to the skys, she tilted her head back, and released her own powerful roar. She was so happy to see her pride happy, to see the pride thriving and soon, she just had a feeling, the pride would be full of little cubs.

She had such a soft spot for cubs, but as she gazed to her parents, and then to Pietr, who snuck gazes at her sister, she wondered if she'd mate out of duty like her sister, or a love like her parents.

Toruk glanced at his oldest friend, offering the scarred warrior a conspiratorial grin, knowing how nervous Kaym'itan was. As the heiress moved and Kaym stiffened, Toruk was already watching the little situation, golden eyes intent, ears flicking back slightly. When his brother growled, Toruk shifted just slightly so his flank pressed against his brother's dark fur, a steadying and reassuring touch.

Once Kaym eased back, Toruk relaxed again and let himself grin as the rest of the pride celebrated. Tilting his head he glanced upwards, catching sight of Juubes way above him. Grinning as she looked down at him, he gave her a soft smile, the look in his eyes almost a match for the love-struck fool beside him. But then Toruk turned his gaze forwards once again to the pride spread out before them, watching as Ru approched.

When the King rose up and let out his roar, Toruk threw his head back and let his own deep voice soar free, roaring in joy for his oldest friend and the female who was to be his mate.

Txep'tey smiled as he watched everyone in high spirits. This was what the pride was truly for, this sense of community, of everyone being together and worshiping together, this sense of true family, for all that their coats were many-coloured.

Lifting his gaze he watched the younger cubs and juveniles rain down petals from above, impressed by the climbing skills even the young cubs already displayed. Indeed, his pride was one to be proud of, and was worth working hard for an even brighter, more prosperous future. His studies had uncovered things from before the Great War that spoke of forgotten knowledge, the history of their pride and old customs now lost. He hoped to some day recover some of those practices, though some were truly left in the past they belonged to. Yet today was for a certain piece in this web of their lives and he raised his voice in joy for the new couple.

Kaym'itan's crimson eyes were only for his mate, and as she came to his side, he shifted away from his best friend's reassuring touch to bring the white lioness into the lee of his body, his tail finding her's and wrapping around it loosely. He would worry about the plotting of the king's brother another day, for now, this moment, was Ru and his.

At the mention of many cubs, the night scout leaned forward and whispered into Ru's ear, " Many cubs Ru, my family was over six." He gave her a wink, and settled his chin on her head as the Pride began to roar in celebration around them, the flowers falling from above covering his beautiful atokirina in their bright petals.

For his part, Kaym'itan merely pulled Ru closer, nuzzling her ear as he whispered softly to her, " You are mine now beloved...mated before the People. Oel ngati kameie..."

Clermelli-Pie watched the bonding with interest. Kaym seemed so happy and his bride was perfect. She was not the most familiar even now with all the ceremonies and such worked, but at least she could be happy for her friends. She followed with the rest of the pride, saying what she needed to and all.

Clerm was still nervous about being up in front of everyone and she nearly jumped when the petals fell on her. She managed to hold herself from doing more than a jerk of the head to look upward. Apparently the pile of petals was meant for the couple and she was standing too close to Kaym. Clerm chuckled at herself and backed up a step to shake off the petals. That figured.

When the king roared, Clerm tried to do so as well. She was a very quiet lioness, and a roar was hard for her to manage. She really did hope nobody noticed that. It was a little embarrassing that as good of a hunter as she was, she didn't really have much of a roar to her.

A silent figure pawed over to stand near both his twin and the small, pale lioness as the roars began.

A deep breath, and he contributed his own baritone as well.

He did not know either of the two matepair very well, but such things were always a celebration for the pride. And even Koehro could feel like he belonged, though he did not actively participate in the dancing or games. He was part of the celebration, yet somewhat removed as well.

He was content to watch and feel content for those in the pride that could, though he did envy them a little.

She had been in the shadows the whole time, watching the prides gathering. Listening intently, her deep bronze eyed gaze flickering over each lion in turn. When the roar began though she moved forwards from the greenery and marched to her brother.

"Calm down." She whispers sitting against him heavily. She smiles lovingly looking at the happy couple. It was a beautiful thing seeing these youngsters so happy in their union. Romance, yes, very romantic. Petra licks her brothers cheek and smiles softly. "You will love it when it happens." She whispers reassuringly.

"Just enjoy the day, tomorrow you can worry." She chuckles quietly, letting out a soft pleased sigh as she continued to watch the interactions of others as subtly as possible.

Clach waddled up beside both of the lions and sits quietly. He would normally have made some grumpy comment, but this was a sacred and joyous occasion so he kept his peace and simply grunted a greeting at Peitr.

Galanthus Nivalus watched quietly, she had never felt a romantic attachment to anyone so the union was beautiful if a little, redundant to her. Still she could appreciate a good party and the tiny warrioress roared with the rest of them when her voice was called upon. Her gaze falls across the many lions gathered, she had joined the pride so long ago now she felt she knew everyone and yet knew no one at all. She liked to train so her social thoughts were often left behind. perhaps she could make some ties here while watching this overly mushy love scene. She laughs inwardly, silly, this was a beautiful day and she was ruining it for herself with her own lack of romantic entanglements. She could just be happy for the beautiful couple. Just be happy.
