"I wouldn't mind walking. That is if you're not tired of my company already." Kyra shrugged her shoulder, "As we said Daeva tend to be loners. But for once I am actually enjoying the company." She smiled softly to herself. It wasn't often that she liked to be with other foxes and most especially a male Daeva. They tended to be rude, condescending and brutal. Needless to say she didn't wander into their territory on purpose.

"Regardless whether you want to come, I'm going on a walk so that my wings have time to rest." Kyra started to walk off down the beach not really caring if the male decided to follow after her.

Kashet stood there for a moment and debated the options. Well there were only two options really, so it wasn't a huge debate. Mostly it was a question of whether or not he wanted company.

For a Daeva, Kashet could be pretty mellow. He didn't mind others, but he had to be in the mood to want them around. As a rule he prefered to keep things in small groups when he did want company, but that was something kind normal to his species and sorta moot at this point since himself and Kyra wasn't a huge gathering...

Finally, deciding he was properly intrigued, he followed Kyra. She'd gotten enough of a start on him that he had to glide to catch up with her. The desert winds were kind and propelled him fairly quickly without him having to go up very far. Kashet landed lightly about six feet behind Kyra, then moved to catch up.

"Hmmm, I guess I'm not tired of your company then"

"Hm?" Kyra looked over her shoulder and noticed that the male was following her. Honestly she figured that he might have had enough of her and would be heading in the opposite direction but once again she had misjudged him. Maybe all male Daeva's weren't so bad.

"Well you are welcome to tag along." She shrugged her shoulder back as she looked back at the desert. Though as she glanced around she realized that there wasn't much to actually look at. Sighing, she looked back at the Daeva, "So...why are you in the desert?"

Kashet sighed. Kyra wasn't the first to ask him such a question. "It's warm here," he replied. "The sand is actually pretty nice to nest in. And it's not all this." Kashet spread his wings to indicate their surroundings. "There's plently of hills and rocks, and places where water and green things are. It's easier to live here when you've got wings, for sure." He shrugged to indicate he was done speaking. Maybe it was quite warm here for the taste of others, and quiet and dull, but Kashet found it quite nice and suiting for his liking of occasional solitude.

"I suppose I can see your side." Kyra tilted her head to look around at the desert. It was alright surroundings, but she wouldn't say it was one of her favorites. She preferred the forest, not beacuse of the sand and the heat here, but simply because there were more places to hide in the desert.

" The sand is alright but i think it would get on my nerves if I was around it all the time."

Kashet tilted his head, smiling a tad. "The desert isn't all sand. Though to find anything growing in abundance here it rare. There are plains that surround the desert though, and with a good wind to aid me I find it no trouble to switch between the two."

Kashet looked upward at the moon, glowingly brightly down on the two of them. "I've always liked open skies best, I suppose. Going into forests lends me a feeling like claustrophobia, so I stay out of thick woodlands."

Kyra looked at him, "I have never spent much time in deserts so I will defer to your opinion." She nodded her head as she looked to the side. She supposed that there was good things about every terrain, but she still preferred the forest. Probably would always prefer it.

Looking back over her shoulder at their paw prints she couldn't help but smile. "So you are claustrophobic?"

Kashet shook his head. "Not exactly, " he said. "I do not fear small and close places. I merely was never comfortable in a place knowing that I might actually have to make sure I have space before I fully extend my wings."

An ironic half smile played on his lips. "As well as that, it's nice not to have to worry about my flames destorying my home in a careless moment."

She laughed, "Oh if you knew the amount of times I have accidentally set my forest on fire." She grimaced, "Really I shouldn't be laughing. It is rather sad." Kyra couldn't help but smile. "Honestly i have no idea why I am smiling." She tried to stop and yet it failed. There was seriously something wrong with her because this idiotic grin refused to leave her face.

She was happy for reasons she didn't fathom, and instead of annoying her she learned that it actually felt....good.

Kashet snorted and shook his head, but otherwise didn't comment on Kyra's laughter. Either it was a mild form of hysterics that wouldn't even register as hysterics to her, or she found humor in it in a morbid sort of way. Fascinating to debate about, but pretty much useless for any kind of practical application. Whichever it was, Kyra would get over the giggles on her own.

"I've never had to worry about more than making a little bit of glass," Kashet said. "Of course it takes a lot of steady flame to melt the sands, so thus far I doubt I've made more than a few tiny beads that would be untraceable among all the grains."

"I wish that was the least of my worries...making glass. No...I have to worry about burning the whole forest down." Kyra chuckled as she rolled her shoulders back. "Do you keep the glass that you make?" She looked at him curiously, "I am slightly curious to see what it would look like. Does it take the same form every time or does it come off a little different each time?"

Who knew that she could be so inquisitive, but today was an off day for her as it was. So what the hell, she decided to go with it.

Kashet blinked, just a bit taken aback by the suddenly questioning as Kyra was that she was being questioning. He didn't stay that way for long though, and readily answered Kyra's question. "I've only noticed the beads out of curiousity, otherwise I would have missed seeing them because they're so tiny."

Kashet cast a glance downward at the sand he and Kyra were walking through. "I've never made anything big enough worth keeping, since I've never tried to deliberately make it." He looked back up and shrugged. "I imagine it will come out different every time though, given the amount of variables involved in making it. Temperature of the flames and how long they last, the type of sand you use and what else might be mixed in it."

He deep chuckle rumbled up from his throat. "I suppose I've never given it a ton of thought before this."

"Hmmmm....." She looked down at her feet and wondered what the glass would look like if she stopped to observe it. Would it be beads like the male Daeva or would hers be different. She supposed since she was a different person that of course it would be different, but then again her curiosity was peaked.

"Would you mind it terribly if we stopped for a little bit?"

Kashet shook his head and paused. He sat and looked at Kyra with a raised eyebrow. "Curious about trying to make glass of your own?" He looked down at the white sands they were walking on. "This stuff melts easier than most sands because it's so fine, but it's also very fragile. You have to be careful about how hot you make your flames, but not hot enough and they won't melt."

"I am curious about a great many things..." She looked down at the sand then comically glared at the male. The last thing she wanted from him right now was a lecture, whether he meant his advice as it or not. That is how it came off to her. "I am not a greenhorned kit. I know how to control my fire to the right temperature. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to live in a forest. Now I admit that I might lose control, but that is rare and usually while I sleep." Kyra's tail flicked annoyed behind her.
