"B-but! But-" She was not ready to let go of Amrita; Lizzy had always been rather protective over the ghoul, and felt inclined to protect her, especially ever since X'mas. While this is not anything life-threatening, she wasn't sure Amrita completely understood the concept of relationships beyond friendship - they had a talk a long, long time ago, and Lizzy had established that from the responses Amrita had given her.
If not for the fact that Mac was holding onto her hand, she would have went after Amrita.
"But she doesn't understand and... And I'm not sure Charlie's going to get through to her..." She finished softly, whimpering just a little as she stared at Amrita, and then at Charlie; the poor boil looked so nervous! If she wasn't feeling anxious about how Amrita might react to Charlie's confession, she might had found the sight rather endearing and... Cute. Instead, she settled for watching silently, her hand tightening around Mac's; she was probably as nervous as Charlie was.
No, she was not aware of what she was doing. Yet.

Chobi Lizzy had been stopped from stopping Amrita. A mixed blessing and curse to the now mostly frozen boil. Amritas voice was enough to bring the pink haired demon back to his body before he tipped over from standing on one foot for to long which would probably make things all the more awkward. Thump-Ump-Th-UMP-th-UMP, the demon could only hear his heart despite all that Amrita was saying. This wasn't good. Cold sweat also made the boils situation all that more awful. The fear of rejection was slowly over taking his whole thought process. What if Amrita rejected his feelings? What if Amrita didn't like him at all? "Oh.. Ummm yes.... Uhh... Im .. Im not cursed." Everything came out as a low mumble. It was better then the demon shouting everything at Amrita though. "Its.. Actually well that.. Ummm.. welll...... I... Uhhh..." His eyes had to look away for a moment and some how his hand found the back of his head. This was not how the demon imagined doing this. This was not easy! There was that cotton taste again too. "A-amrita. Uhh. D-do you like me? C-causeeeeee....well... I LIKE YOU!" It totally came out as a yell.

Mac not only held her hand, but he bodily prevented her from getting any further down the stairs. His attention wasn't on Lizzy however, or how close together they were or, more importantly that he he was holding a demon's hand; he was watching the two below, both so terribly awkward and unused to this. They called it Puppy Love for a reason, and Charlie seemed to be more affected than the ghoul.
"There was no stopping him." He reminded her quietly. Admittedly, deep down, he was worried about what the ghoul would say in return, but...it had to be done. It just had to. "At least that's one thing they can learn together?" Yay silver lining? Charlie had a hard time understanding as well.

Charlie looked worse than he did when he realized the curse earlier. OH JACK WHY DID HE LOOK WORSE?! This was bad, bad bad bad and it wasn't going to get any better and and and aaaaaa.... The young vetala was about to completely burst with worry, but she waited as patiently as possible for him to explain. She let out a sigh of relief so heavy that her shoulders slumped forward, her hands unclasping to press one against the fabric above her concave chest.
"Oh, good..." She breathed, straightening up and tilting her head. Now that that particular fear was over, she looked a lot less concerned and a lot more curious. It seemed he still had more to say, but was having trouble with it. Luckily for him, she was endlessly patient. Amrita offered him a small encouraging smile, moving to hook her pinkies behind her back. His question and proclamation made her pause (the yell made her flinch a little, too!), blinking once, twice and three times before her head tilted once more.
"Of course I like you, Charlie!" She said simply, smiling brightly. That was a silly question! "Why?"

"I kind of think Charlie being daring enough to admit his feelings is rather amazing," She admitted quietly, forcing a soft chuckle, "I mean, I didn't have that courage... And I'm sure there are those who choose to deny their feelings... So Charlie is pretty amazing." Her voice faded, however, at Charlie's outburst as her eyes widened slightly. She held her breath, waiting for Amrita's answer, hand tightening around Mac's-
Anddddd face palm moment.
The hand not currently holding tightly onto Mac's flew to her face, and she stayed that way for a while before finally lowering it to stare at the two younger students currently in front of her. She wasn't sure if she should be relieved, since 'I like you, Charlie' could be translated to 'I LIKE YOU THAT WAY TOO' in the demon's mind, but... That would be unfair to him, right?
She mentally made a note to never make the same mistake. Ever.

Chobi The fact that Amrita wasn't getting what kind of like Charlie actually meant was beyond him. The demons face lit up and his perky usual self peeked through with a goofy smile. "Y-you do? Well course you do! I never doubted that for a moment," A nervous laugh echoed his throat. "Ohhh... umm I don't know. I just like you I guess thats why. We can be special friends. Better then best friends." What was it that special boy and girl friends did any way? Hang out lots? And eat lots of eye scream and pizza? Sounded great to the demon. Yeah Amrita was going to be his special friend. Better then anyone else. Because he liked her.

"Ah-hah, you have no idea." Mac chuckled low, not wanting to interrupt the pair below. Charlie being daring? Hah, she didn't know the half of it. "He once ate a live baby bat once on a dare." The point being, if you could eat a live baby bat, you could confess your feelings. "He knows what having bats in his stomach feels like." Mac couldn't resist adding with a little snort and a shake of his shoulders; he was trying really really hard to not burst out laughing. All in all he was not surprised that Lizzy likely wouldn't have the courage, and he never really had a problem with telling a ghoul he liked her; actually, he did it often. On a serious tone though? Hmm...
Black eyes remained on the 'children' on the lower floor, only vaguely aware that she was holding his hand tighter than before. The moment of truth arrived and....
...
Sigh.
"Oh, they're perfect for each other." Snirking and passing it off as a tiny cough, he shook his head and he let go of Lizzy's hand; at least he tried, her grip was pretty hard. Admittedly he felt a little sorry for Charlie; the ghoul didn't understand so it was unlikely that she could return these particular feelings, but at the same time....at least her answer didn't hurt him. Actually, it was more like a win for Charlie since she did say she liked him.
Oh, Puppy love.

"Special friends?" She parrotted curiously, moving to look over her shoulder at the pair on the stairs as though they could explain, or perhaps just because she decided to look back. "What does that mean?" She asked Charlie, deciding the pair on the stairs were too far away to ask properly.
Okay, now she was confused. You could be better than best friends? What if she already had a best friend? So many questions, but she waited for Charlie to answer first. He seemed to know what a Special friend was.
"But...if it wasn't a curse, what was it?" Confused and curious Amrita wanted to know what was wrong! The asking if she liked him and that he liked her was probably just a Charlie thing, he tended to do things in weird ways.

"He what?" She said, just a little too loudly; both hands immediately moved to cover her mouth, effectively letting Mac's hand go in the process, as she turned to stare at Amrita and Charlie, eyes widened. Oh good! They didn't hear her outburst. Hopefully? Probably?
... Wait. She was holding Mac's hand?
She had never held a boil's hand before, unless you count holding hands while dancing. But that's sort of different, right? Ahhhhh. And Mac seemed so apprehensive about touching her hands in the past...
"IAMSORRY." She turned to look at him with that same wide-eyed look, although her voice was soft as she did not wish to disturb the little scene playing out below. Blushing, she played with the fabric of her skirt, looking down at the ground, "For, um... H-holding your hand... You probably don't like it..." She paused rather awkwardly before turning away, choosing instead to focus her attention on the two standing inside the common room, staring really intensively at them.
