Dr Erie stood in front of an ordinary steel sink, although, the deep brownish red that covered it was not so. Hot water ran from a matching tap, and bubbles covered his forearms up to his elbows. A small tune passed his lips as he washed up, giving a gentle air to the horrific situation. He was scrubbing up before he travelled to the yard and chose his next victim. Dr Erie straightened his tie - a bright blue one with yellow polka dots scattered in diagonal lines. His white customised lab coat was sprinkled with a matching blue seam along the arms and down the chest panels, and was splattered with a large amount of blood.
The man swiped a strand of deep grey hair from his face, with an exasperated sigh that could only mean exhaustion or frustration. Taking himself to a mirror the surgeon come scientist almost tore it from the wall. See, he was also a mutant. He was in fact a little more unusual in that his mutation was abnormal ageing. His true body was around 25-30 years of age, he wasn't really sure anymore. Yet, only one part of his body would age at a time. Last 10 years it was his left eye. The eye had lost it's livid green colour, sagged, wrinkled and drooped as though it was 90 years old. For these ten years, up until his 40th birthday, his hair was showing the effects. His lovely deep red hair was thinning and receeding, and was now turning grey and brittle. The man became angry and at this moment, in dire need of some exploration.
"Take me to the yard!" he called, and immediately four large men surrounded him and escorted him out. Once outside, he stood, with his bloodied jacket arms crossed over each other, eyeing up each of the mutants. He turned to the tallest, broadest guard - the Corporal - and murmuered. "Line them up."
Hydra smiled in return, her long hair blowing around her as a cold wind picked up. She was about to begin a nice, relaxed conversation about how lovely she found Penny's name to be, when the whole mood of the camp's yard flipped on it's tail. The joy of being granted sunshine turned into terror at the sight of Dr Erie. Presently, the guards began to pass an order along the line of them, each one cocking their gun and training it on the yard's general area. When all were positioned, the Corporal barked out "LINE UP!" That only meant....someone else would be taken today. Hydra's expression froze as she and the other mutants started to line up, holding up their chins to allow the officials to read the numbers tattooed onto their necks.
As Hydra stood next to Penny, a guard laughed hysterically and yanked at one of her ear fins. Hydra spat at the man, promptly flicking out a wrist and snapping a finger. The man yelled out, and thumped Hydra's abdomen with the butt of his rifle. Hydra doubled over with a painful cry, a tear springing in the corner of each eye. But she would not let them see her weak. After a brief moment, she stood up, one arm wrapped around her bruised ribs.

Mark's thoughts were rudely interrupted as the mutants were forced into a line. He stood, unlike a good deal of his fellows, tall and proud, glaring at Dr. Erie as he walked out into the yard. Lifting a hand to his head he sent a telepathic message to the other mutants that were lined up. It took quite a bit of effort on his part, due to the number of mutants assembled and his not-quite-restored powers.
'My brothers and sisters do not be afraid. My name is Mark Hughes, code-name Poltergeist, some may have heard of the....unfortunate...accident I may have caused a few days ago. Well this is only the beginning, my friends. We all know what needs to be done. We need to show these humans that they cannot contain us like animals. I...understand you may be frightened, unsure of your powers, but together we will tear this facility apart! Join me and we will show these humans that we are the ones who should be in charge, we are the superior to them in every way. There will be no stopping us if we all work together. However, bare in mind that if you are not with me, you are ultimately against me and so will be destroyed along with this facility. I look forward to hearing from you, my fellow mutants.'
Mark felt a little drained but a smirk crept across his face as he saw his message reach the other mutants.

Penny had already been nervous while talking to Hydra &, at the sound of the corporal yelling at them all to line up she barely managed to stop herself from accidently shooting off some of her spikes in alarm. She knew what it meant when they were all lined up - she'd seen bloody carts being wheeled out of the camp a few times - & now she was beginning to panic. Catching sight of Dr Erie didn't help, causing a small whimper to pass her lips. With her head down & her limbs shaking, Penny followed the other mutants in line, standing next to Hydra but keeping her gaze to the floor.
The girl visibly flinched when she heard the thump as Hydra was hit with the rifle, but she was too scared to do anything about it. Her muscles had locked up & her pupils had dilated, if she could sweat there would be beads of it running down her body. Since she had her head down the guards couldn't see her numbers & one of them began to yell at her, trying to get her to look up. When she didn't he grabbed her face & forced her head up, exposing her neck & thus the tattoo. Penny inhaled sharply, looking into the face of the man who grabbed her & continuing to shake. The guard started to laugh at her, calling over to the other guards about how pathetic & terrified she was.
If the timing had been any different, if she hadn't been so scared, or maybe if the guard had simply let go a bit sooner, the following events might not have happened...
Since Penny was on the verge of complete panic, the sudden sound of a strange voice in her head tipped her over the edge, sending her into the kind of fear where you don't realise what's going on around you. She screamed, throwing her hands out, closing her eyes tight & letting herself descend into a dark recess in her mind, where she felt safe. The girl had no idea how much time passed; seconds, minutes, hours? She had no clue. But, when she opened her eyes again, she was greeted by the sight of the guard, his body & face now impaled by a multitude of spikes. One of her clawed hands had managed to get stuck in his throat, dark, hot blood now trickling down her arm from the man's wound. She couldn't look anywhere but at the man, her face pure horror as she tried to speak, her voice rising in pitch & volume. "N-no.. no.. no, no, no.... no.. I'm sorry! NO! NO I'M SORRY! I-I DIDN'T MEAN TO!" It was true, she hadn't meant to. She never wanted to hurt people, but that didn't mean she couldn't...

Being drugged up, Frederick paid no attention to the order to line up and swayed from side to side slightly and quietly giggled every now and then. The guard that had administered the drug sighed in irritation and dragged Fritz over to where the other mutants had lined up. The young man had to be held in place to stop him from wandering away or even from falling over. He started to lean on the guard holding him, giggling slightly, but was roughly pushed away and bumped into the mutant he was stood next to.
Fritz didn't resist when his head was roughly jerked up so the numbers on his neck could be seen but he whined slightly as the motion hurt his neck. A little frown of concentration appeared on the Germans face as he heard a voice in his head but because of the drug in his system he was unable to understand what had been said.

Dr Erie laughed smoothly as he carefully studied the reactions of some of the more...reactive mutants. He idly strolled into the yard and stoof a few metres away from the line. Guards were thrown into a frenzy as Reptillia spiralled downwards, killing a guard, though they kept their positions. Dr Erie made his way over to Reptillia, standing close to her face after peeling the corpse from her hand. His own hand gently brushed some of her hair from her face, and a drop of blood rolling down her cheek. His fingers dropped the blood into his mouth, a sweet sigh escaping his lips.
"She'll be fine..." he murmured, then he turned and walked back down the other way, having noticed Poltergeist with his hand to his head. The doctor slapped it away, a growl passing his lips. "What are you playing at?! I guess i'll have two customers today..." he grinned, his fingers flicking towards the two successful mutants.
Guards ran towards the two, flooding from each side. Two trained snipers fired off a tranquiliser dart into each of the mutants necks, and, providing that they hit, the mutants would be knocked out for only 20 minutes whilst Dr Erie strapped them to the tables in the lab and readied the injections.
Hydra twisted away and shielded her her face with her arm as Penny fired off spikes. One grazed the arm, leaving a long, fairly deep scratch. Hydra yelped as Penny screamed with terror, her hand delving into the man's throat with a burst of blood and flesh.
Hydra cried again, but remained as still as she could. She so desperately wanted to help Penny, but the Dr was heading their way. When he started to somewhat caress the girl, her blood almost boiled. The fingers on her left hand began to ripple and water as she watched with rage. When he said that she would be taken, and so would the man that contacted her, she yelled out; "No! Take me! Please!" but a tearing pain ripped through her side. Hydra thought about the man that contacted her before, his rebellion seeming like a good idea. The confusion was over soon, and each mutant was being escorted over to their cells. Penny and Mark were being taken away, causing small bitter tears to trickle down her cheek.
The heavy door was thudded behind her, but she span around and began to thump loudly on it.
~Note; In this time, the usual power depressing drugs should have been issued, however, since the selection took a little longer than usual the drugs have been forgotten. You know what that means twisted ~

Mark growled as the doctor hit him, but other than that he didn't react. He glared at the man, his eyes filled with hate. The telekinetic knew who this man was, a traitor. A traitor to his own kind, it made Mark sick to think of what this man had done to the others.
However, Mark had done what he came here to do today. He had sent his message to his fellow mutants. He watched the pathetic human guards scurry around them. Then there was a sharp pain in his neck. He gasped in surprise and looked around frantically. Mark moved his hand and pulled the dart from his neck, realising what had happened. The dark-haired man felt himself growing weak and tired. Falling to his knees, he was struggling to keep awake and in one last effort, attempted to hurl that b*****d of a doctor into the nearest wall. It didn't work however, and Mark fell to the floor with a thud.

Penny probably wouldn't have moved from where she was stood with the dead man hanging from her claws, if it hadn't been for Dr Irie removing the corpse. The reptilian mutant focused her attention on the doctor now, her slightly flattened nose flaring with a mix of fear & - strangely enough - anger; she hated this creature, hated him with every essence of her being for what he had done to the other mutants, but she also hated herself for being too weak to even attempt anything against him. When he ran his hand down her face, she didn't flinch, but her trembling body betrayed her terror. She knew what was going to happen next...
The girl's eyes moved slightly, looking at the man she had inadvertently killed - had he had a wife? A family, relatives? Even pets? She'd ended this man's life &, along with it, any dreams and relationships he may have had. She didn't even notice when Dr Irie moved away, she simply sank to knees, letting her hair cover her face. Even though she still had the ability to cry, she didn't, she simply stared at the ground, numb to everything around her. The tranquilizer dart fired at her bounced off one of the protective scales on her neck, but it didn't matter, she wasn't going anywhere. It was as though she had simply given up. When the guards took her away she didn't put up a fight but she did make one final look in Hydra's direction, her eyes dull & lifeless.

As Fritz watched everything unfold his odd eyes started to become more focused, apparently they hadn't given him a strong enough dose. As his gaze fell upon Dr Erie his eyes narrowed in anger, he clenched his hands. The young man knew what the doctor did, sometimes when he glanced out the window he'd see the mutilated bodies being taken away.
An animalistic growl sounded low in his throat as his mind cleared and he saw two mutants being taken away and another hitting the door they were taken through. Thinking as quickly as his still slightly fogged mind would allow Fritz came to believe that the door wouldn't be as strong as the one he was always locked behind, why would it need to be no-one here would try to break it due to fear, although there was a chance that it would be but he would take that chance. He was tired of his kind being tortured and killed.
The animorph tore his arm out of the guards grip that was still holding him and placed a well aimed punch to his gut, knocking the wind out of him. He then called out, in his accented voice, to the mutant girl banging on the door. "Move!" Frederick then transformed, with slight difficulty, into the strongest creature he could think of in his still slightly clouded mind. Which was, thankfully, a rhinoceros. He snorted and prepared to charge.

Dr Erie watched with clear interest on his features as one mutant was lead away, and the other was transported unconscious. He had laughed at Polly's feeble attempt to use his powers on him, unaware that they were only being held at bay by anesthetic, not by the usual mutation depressing drugs. The doctor ran a hand through his hair before turning away from the now strapped up mutants. They were layed on two seperate post-mortem tables, the ones with the drainage around the edges, which were angled so they were almost stood upright.
Dr Erie picked up a syringe of a luminous green fluid that was almost transparent...so I guess it's called translucent. Tapping one a few times, he checked for bubbles. He would inject whoever woke up first, and let the other watch. He liked to put on a bit of a show, and hoped that others shared his interest.
Hydra was banging on the door for one reason - she had caught that dead look in Penny's eyes, and couldn't bare for see it for a second longer. As soon as she could, she would get out of this room and follow Poltergeist's commands. When she heard the order to move, she ducked to the side. With flattened fins, she covered her head and cowered away from the door as a horn jutted its way through and wrenched the door off of its hinges. The doors were never really designed for strength since powers were usually surpressed.
The red light above the door flashed and a siren alerted all nearby guards. The rattle of weaponry soon reached Hydra's ears as she made a break for the research lab.

Mark opened his eyes slowly. His head was still a little fuzzy due to the anesthetic, however when he tried to bring his hand to his head, he found that his arms and legs were strapped to a table. Growling he looked about at the room he was in and quickly spotted Dr. Erie. "You. What have you done?! You traitor!" As Mark struggled against the straps keeping him in place, a number of objects in the room were suddenly flung in random directions. The more angry Mark became the more violently the object were flung. The telekinetic couldn't think straight even if he wanted to. All Poltergeist wanted to do was tear the doctor's limbs from his body.

Fritz shook the door from his horn before transforming back to his human form. He took a moment gather his barings, the drugs he had been given not fully out of his system, before taking off at a sprint after the mutant he had just let out.
Frederick ran just behind the girl he was following, not knowing anything of what he saw due to his usual confinement to his room. "Verdammt. You do know the way to the lab, ja?"

Penny, though awake, hadn't reacted at all when she was strapped to a table, or when she'd spotted Dr Erie with the syringe of strange green fluid. She simply looked down at the floor, her eyes clouded over, even as she listened to Mark's outburst when he awoke. Her tail had been tethered down uncomfortably, so even though she was completely still it felt like her tail was being pulled constantly. When objects started flying around the room, she flinched but never looked up from the ground. Her eyes drifted slightly, looking at the sharp claws extending from her toes & the scales covering the tops of her feet. It was so easy for her to kill people... & that was why she hated herself.
Though she hated the doctor, despised him for all the horrible things he had done, she couldn't help thinking that maybe it was best that he was going to kill her. That way she'd never be able to hurt anyone ever again. She also wondered whether any of the other mutants would heed the strange message that seemed to have been sent to all of their minds, there could be a whole lot of trouble if they did... The girl's thoughts moved to Hydra, she hoped the aqua-based mutant would be alright & that the injury from the rifle hit wasn't too bad. Penny's bit her bottom lip slightly, knowing she could have done something to prevent that, but she'd been too cowardly &, ultimately, it had led to the death of a man. Perhaps it was karma, a way of punishing her for not defending her fellow mutant.

Dr Erie watched with interest as a few small items shook, and then one by one bigger things rattled, to the extent that they fell over. Smaller objects flew around the room, or rather, were thrown from one place to another. "Haha! Interesting reaction Mark!" he called above the racket that the rattling instruments were making. 96% of mutants displayed fear, 3% displayed shame at being restrained so easily, and the remaining 1% showed the rage reaction that Mark had.
Displaying no fear, Dr Erie walked towards Mark, standing between him and Penny. A test tube smashed against his arm, but it didn't phase him as he picked at a strand of Mark's hair, rolled it gently between his finger and thumb and let it go. "You are...rather unique Mr Poltergeist," he cooed, holding the syringe to the light. As he tapped it again, releasing the last of the bubbles in the glass tube, a scalpel propelled by Mark's outrage slashed into his middle finger, slicing it open horizontally at the knuckle. "Arrrhhh! How dare you?!" he roared, dropping the syringe. It smashed onto the floor, the translucent green contents pooling onto the floor.
Dr Erie's long honey blonde hair fell into his face as he dropped to his knees and mumbled to himself about the wasting of his time and money and how he never received any thanks. After a period of silence, a deep, throaty laugh began to form in his throat, slowly emanating louder and louder, becoming more rapid until he rose back to his feet. His head was tipped forward, his hair still over his face as he raised a hand and slapped the back of it across Mark's cheek. "How F****** dare you?! Can you see what you did? Hmm? Are you happy with yourself?! You ungrateful brat!" he yelled, swinging his arm again.
Satisfied momentarily, he turned to Penny. "Aren't you well behaved?" he swooned, softly pulling his fingers through her hair. The man then smiled, reaching to a spike on her back and studied it intently. He moved away, grabbed a scalpel and a glass slide, and set to scraping at the surface of one. Intrigued, he moved to a microscope with the slide and began to check the contents. "So, they are legitimately bone. How interesting..." he paused, switching off the microscope and walking back to her. Pushing her hair out of the way, he studied the join between some of the bone spikes and scales, a deep sigh passing his tongue. "It is such a pity we can't...investigate these beauties beneath the skin. Oh woe, what intrigue bothers my tiny mind. Who would wonder what a delightful barrier our skin would pose, hmm? We believe it is there to retain what is inside. Bah! I say it is merely in the way, stopping me from progressing and studying your divine self further than mere scrape samples."
"Of course I do! Have you not seen people going in there?" Lucy called to the man who saved her from her cell. Hydra reached the lab, and instantly noticed the flying equipment. Touching her fingers to the door's glass window, she channelled what she could into her hand. Her palm became more water like as the power built up, and eventually formed a high pressure jet that shattered the glass. Hydra screamed at the top of her lungs, doing her best to attract the Dr's attention, but the sound of the equipment being bashed about drowned her out.
From a platform just outside the lab, a sniper aimed his rifle at the teal skinned woman, he felt bad seeing as she wasn't that bad of a looker. But she was dangerous. With his finger resting on the trigger, he waited until she was still enough, before firing off a bullet. Whistling through the air, the bullet made it's target, embedding itself in Hydra's ankle. The girl screamed out in pain before collapsing to the floor, blood already pooling beneath her. Swear words escaped her lips as she pushed down on the bullet hole, wincing as she did. The damn thing had torn through her ankle fin, leaving one section of the webbing torn and tattered. Hydra cursed again, louder this time as she began to feel more pain.

Mark's head snapped to look at Dr Erie after the older man had hit him again. Poltergeist couldn't control a good deal of his powers, especially his telekinesis, as he had never learnt how to. Instead he could only glare at the doctor as the objects dropped out of the air. To be honest Mark was exhausted. He had been over-using his powers. Not a smart move for someone planning a rebellion but his powers had been repressed for a good while now, meaning he couldn't keep using them too much. As well as this he had to use them to contact the other mutants, and it wasn't like it was a small amount of them either.
Mark laid still for a few moments. To 'recharge' as he liked to put it. He could sense others at the edge of his mind. He reached out to them he sifted through their thoughts and memories. It wasn't a very social way of going about things but it gave Mark what he needed to know. There was two mutants, Hydra and Biest. He could sense humans as well but they weren't important to Mark. They were never important to Mark.

"I haf alvays been confined to mein room und I try noht to look outside because it shows me vhat I can noht have. Und it shows me vhat happens to those dat come out of de lab... " Frederick's agitation was starting to bring out his accent, he didn’t like thinking of the lab and what went on inside and the fact he was never allowed outside didn't sit well with him. Fritz stopped just behind the woman he was following and watched as she shattered the glass with water and screamed yet was not heard over the racket in the lab.
Biest started as a sniper shot at the other mutant and hit her ankle and his first thought was to help her but the fact there was a sniper aiming at them was far more pressing. Rushing in the direction of the sniper, the young German jumped into the air and changed his form to that of a sparrow. He flew in complex patterns to avoid becoming a target and once he reached the human he changed once more into a Eurasian lynx and landed behind the sniper. Without hesitation Fritz leapt at the human and sunk his sharp fangs into his neck. Biest shook his head to make sure the wound killed the man or at least incapacitated him before leaping back to where the other mutant was.
Transforming back into his human form Fritz tore a length of material from his black shirt and tied it around the woman’s injured ankle, tightly. "Dort gehen wir... Uh... I mean, dere ve goh. Cahn yoh schtand?" Fritz tried to keep his accent under control but it was difficult given the circumstances.
(Fail German accent is fail >.<)
