The vampire nodded, looking up at the large structure.
"What is it that this contraption does? Is it simply a form of amusement?"
He frowned, not positive of the purpose that this 'Ferris Wheel' held.

Rosalie took his hand in hers and began tugging him towards the ticket booth. "It's fun. You sit in one of the seats and it takes you way way up and you can see everything!" She exaggerated with her hands, her eyes were wide with excitement.

As he was in the midst of being pulled to the stand, Katsuto looked behind to nod politely to Bartheyamus.
"I look forward to speaking with you again. Hopefully you will find a means to enjoy yourself in these frivolities."
He willingly walked forward with Rosalie, smiling at her enthusiasm.
"That seems quite a lot of fuss over so simple a concept. Why not simply fly upwards to get the same result?"

Rosalie stopped, pondering his newest statement. She looked up at the big wheel for a moment, then her face broke into a smile, "Its safer this way I think. What if a strong gust of wind comes while your flying and not paying attention? Sure you could survive that kind of fall, but I need my legs to walk." She laughed, beaming up at him. She always felt better with him around.

Katsuto's efforts to silence a small laugh were in vain. He simply shook his head.
"You think a mere wind would be enough to cause me difficulties? Certainly not. However if you would prefer this method of transportation, so be it."
He gestured to the large ferris wheel before pausing. A small thoughtful frown appeared on his lips.
However, this does beg to ask a differing question. Are you not nervous of the device's height?"

She furrowed her brow, "Why would I be nervous? We'd be surrounded by metal. What could possibly go wrong?" She pushed him closer to the ticket booth and looked away innocently. "The dice woman took all my money." She sighed upturning her empty pockets. "Carnivals are pricey.."

With a nod, he took a small pouch of coins from his pocket and deposited them on the counter to the ticket booth.
"This should prove enough, I am assuming."
Rosalie's words still echoed within the front of his mind: 'What could possibly go wrong?' He frowned and looked up once more at the looming attraction.

The girl tilted her head at his expression. She smiled up at him, "If you don't feel comfortable, we don't have to go." She put a finger to her chin, thoughtfully. "Maybe you could help me win a teddy bear for Lilith instead." She frowned, "Although I haven't found a booth yet that gives them away.."

Not wishing to frighten her, the vampire smiled and shook his head.
"That is alright, Rosalie. I have already payed the admission and I will not take back my promise to you."
He stepped forward, holding his arm out to help her onto the attraction.

Rosalie took his arm and stepped into the metal booth. She sat next to him and looked around, now eyeing the safety of the metal herself. She tried to cover up her worry and took his hand in hers waiting for the ride to begin. "This carnival is a welcomed change. I think everyone is enjoying themselves. Are you having a good time, Katsu?" It was hard to keep her smile hidden around him.

With a hateful glare to Rosalie, Chishio went back to her station and started the ride. She couldn't stand the fact that such a weak human was allowed to be that close to Lord Katsuto.

Rosalie couldn't help the chill that ran down her spine at the operator's glare. She wasn't sure what she had done to upset the woman but she couldn't help feeling guilty about it. She twisted her fingers together and tried not to look in her direction.

Sensing Rosalie's discomfort, Katsuto put a protective arm around her as they began their ascent. Looking down at her, he gave a warm smile.
"I suppose I am not used to this type of entertainment, though I do agree that it is a nice change."

Rosalie forgot her worries and looked up at him, "I suppose a Ferris Wheel wouldn't be much of a fun ride for you. You can fly whenever you want." She leaned her head on his shoulder as they slowly moved up. "But sometimes its nice to enjoy simple things like this."
As the ride got closer to the top, Rosalie's eyes grew bigger. "Look Katsuto! Your kingdom is beautiful..." She sighed wistfully.

Katsuto smiled, looking out at the view. Indeed, the kingdom had greatly changed from his first days of rule. Gone were the burning villages and barren wasteland. After taking in the sight, he looked back to his companion.
"Do you truly believe that?"
