The wall seemed to taunt Paige as she attempted to climb it again.
You can't do it, your climbing skills suck. Go try a tree NA NA NA NA.
YOU GOING TO TAKE THAT?!?!
Above her she may have heard a slightly snoring if she listened carefully.
((Roll another D20 <3))

Despite West's attempts to punch the living daylights out of the tentacles attacking all his attempts did was leave him with a sore face and cause it to cling tighter.
W-Was it cooing?
Um.... Roll again. Quickly.

xxxxxThat's right. No wall could defeat Paige, she was invincible! She was from a long line of behemoth warriors! (Well technically all of the people in her tribe were warriors ...) She was going to climb this wall, and it would allow itself to be climbed. Paige would reach the top, and then she would scream from the top of the booth about how great she was.
xxxxxAaaand then she was hit by another brick.
xxxxxIn an event of deja vu, Paige tumbled back down to the ground. If she was angry before, she was pissed now. Fortunately, Paige hid her emotions rather well, and prevented herself from screaming obscenities at the top of her lungs at the wall, simply because ... well it was a wall! She didn't exactly want the entire student body knowing she was a nut job who yelled at walls.
xxxxxIn the background she noticed a boil struggling with a box. It seemed quite attached to his face. Normally, had she been her normal, calmer self, she would've politely asked if the boy needed help, but right now, Paige was on a mission of self-righteousness. Her opponent? That jackdamn wall.

West's brows rose in distress. Why did things like this have to happen to him? In addition to giving up minipet class and never being within fifty feet of Riley or Tess' pet Trixie ever again, he briefly entertained the idea of giving up boxes. Forever. He stopped hitting himself and resorted to tugging at the creature's legs, a low growl emerging from his throat in response to the coo.
Oh, hell no.

The wall mocked Paige's pathetic attempts to concur it. This mocking had a face. An awesome face. Clearly a behemoth of Paige's stature shouldn't take that. Show the wall who's boss and roll again.

With a squelching noise his attacker came away due to his tugging, leaving new tentacle hickies all over his face in it's wake. Poor West. As it dangled in his hands West would finally get a proper look beyond tentacles and notice it wore a hat. And had the biggest eyes. And seemed to be making love hearts with it's tentacles at him. And was a baby minipet. Well done West you've got yourself a knew admirer and pet. And it'll never let you go~ heart

xxxxxThis time Paige stood up a bit weaker, a tad woozy from her battle with the wall. Still determined, she walked towards the wall, eager to take up her "sword" and do battle again. She stumbled a bit, rocking back and forth on the mat as she approached the wall. Paige flung her weary arms out onto the wall, ready to begin her ascent again.
xxxxxThe wall didn't even give her a chance. It shot her down on the ground. Paige wished desperately that her skull tag wasn't fastened to her belt, so that she could use her behemoth abilities. If it wasn't for that skull tag, she could just tear the wall down. Ram straight into it and take it down, but no. She had to sit there and lie useless at the bottom of the wall.
xxxxxWhat she needed was a moment or two to recharge. Getting hit by bricks wasn't the most pleasant feeling in the world. True they hadn't been flying at her with mach speed, but a brick in the stomach was a brick in the stomach. With exhausted depletion, she flopped onto the mat and closed her eyes for a moment. She just needed to lay there for a moment or two- then she would be up and running again.
xxxxxAt least, that's what she told herself. She was grateful that she didn't have tentacles attached to her face though. ((going to bed, bbl xD))

Apparently something above took pity on Paige's deplorable state after her battle with the wall because with a thump a rope landed beside Paige.
Stretching up to tye top of the wall it was thick and stretchy, almost elastic, and at it's end was a strap that could go around the ankle but above all it looked less likely to reject her again than the wall.
((You now only need to roll above 5))

Angry. Angry. Angry.
Cat had never been so angry, and was extremely keen to do something to throw off this awful burning and boiling feeling. He wasn't quite sure what had set him off the worst. Was it the ignorance? Or was it the complete and utter butchering of his most favorite art form in the known world? The choice was obvious.
No he didn't mind that the manticore obviously had no clue. He generally didn't even mind if some people hated riddles. (all the better to tease them with, or course) But Cady didn't listen, didn't try, and she herself utterly mutilated the task of asking her own riddle.
ANGRY. ANGRY.
Before he knew it, expression still flickering madly, Cat was heading for the wall to attempt to climb it. High places, that was something he could look forward to; it reminded him of home.

Not too far behind Cat came Aislin. The lanky ghost ghoul glanced all around, even calling out a few curious, "Cat?"s as she sought her friend. He'd left kind of in a huge huff. What had gotten him so worked up? About to give up and move on she spotted him finally, a dark shadowy smudge against the brick wall he was making his way up.
"Cat! What are you doing?" Aislin trotted towards the boil and stood at the bottom of the wall, looking up at him with her hands on her hips. "Is there something up there?"

All Cat was focussing on was getting to the top. Desperately he wanted the comfort of being up above everyone, far out of reach to cool off and recharge. Again.
It was about half way up when he heard Aislin's voice and hesitated.
'Everyone' tended not to include the wisp of a ghoul. Despite her excitable nature she always had a way of setting Cat down when he was uncharacteristically upset or nervous. The open house, it seemed, was taking a higher toll on him then he expected- but still he trusted her bubbly and excitable nature to rub off on him.
Turning to beckon her up, gripping precariously with one hand, Cat called down to her. "I'm fine, come join-" Before he could finish his thought, however, his grip faltered just enough that he slipped and fell heavily onto the mats below.
Far from being further irritated, he couldn't help but let out a little chuckle at himself.

Ash giggled when Cat fell down onto the mat. She knelt one knee on the blue cushion and reached over to take his hand, helping him up and out of the cushyness. "I dunno. I'm kind of tired. Can we please sit down for a little while? Maybe?" She batted her eyes and pouted her lips and snuggled against Cat's shoulder as winningly as she could manage. She really WAS feeling kind of put off at the moment. As a ghost she didn't really feel tired.

Cat tool her hand appreciatively, allowing himself to be hauled back up onto his feet.
Ahh, it was like a breath of fresh air. Even that tiny fall had blown the bad energy out of his body, and his Smile came much more naturally once more. "Certainly, dearling~" He chuckled lightly, hooking an arm around Ash and pulling her close. "I can do with a sit-down myself,"

Her arm came down to curl around the back of Cat's shoulders, snuggling in close against his side. She walked in time with her favorite boil away from the Cliff Club. "Maybe we can come back here after we have our sit down?"
