That dress. She's pretty much despised it and had no idea on how she'd come to agree to wear it. Also Holly was quite certain is was long gone by now, never to be seen again ever. If she was to ever wear another dress, it would be much more practical as well as much more comfortable. As for her pajamas, well, the hoodie was pretty darn awesome. There was also a need to wear it since one of her friend had made it and it would have been rude to not wear it. Not like it showed anything.
The sudden change in West did not go unnoticed to the ghoul. Mostly since he sat up so quickly he'd shook the bench which had startled her. What was going through that boil's mind? She'd only been talking about her change in clothing and he'd said barely a thing. Strange, again. Holly glanced over from her book. He'd yet to talk still.
After more moments he did and she looked up from the book. Prom? Oh that other dance thing. Dance... "Er, yeah I heard some other ghouls talking about it the other day." Why did he want to know if she was going. Holly wasn't too interested in going after Scarentines mostly since she had been by herself which meant it was difficult to make fun of others. Would Prom be different? She shrugged. "Depends ... why?" Yes, why did he want to know if she was going to go, that was her question. He'd asked if she was going in almost a rush of words, was something wrong with the boil.

West relaxed his hands, pressing his palms to the bench on either side of his legs. If he didn't calm down, something bad was going to happen. He envisioned tears (possibly his own) or a chorus of strange cherubic youngsters popping out of the trees to mock him for being such an idiot. Or video cameras. Were there video cameras? West cast a slightly panicked glance around the area, his gaze settling on Holly again. She looked a little weirded out, but he supposed he couldn't really blame her. He sighed.
"Jus'wanted t'know. I'm thinkin' I'munna go. Y'know, not 'cause I bid on anyone'r anythin' like last time, jus'cause. An' I thought..." Dammit. "Look, yer comin' okay? Someone's gotta be there that I know so when I make funna it later, y'know what I'm talkin'bout. 'Less y'don't want to. Tha's'okay too, I guess." One of his fists went clenchy again and he bounced it irritably against his thigh. "You should though." West swallowed and looked away, his brows drawn down in their familiar angry lines.

Book closed again, she set it down in her lap. Holly rose a brow as she watched West. This was the widest range of emotions she'd ever seen from this boil. He also seemed to be swaying between them quickly. Wait. Was he looking for something? Now he looked panicked. If he'd noticed her expression of course she looked weirded out, this was the strangest situation she'd been in just about ever. Then he started to ramble again.
"Well I already said I was thinking of going, so I could go with you. Why wouldn't I...."
It was when Holly said that last word that the entire situation had become clear to her. Her eyes widened slightly. Wait. Did he just ask her to go to prom with him? Just him and her? She suspected had it really been a 'let us make fun of others and their dancing' that some of them would just ended up going in a group and doing so. The weird thing for her was she wanted to go. She'd always thought of West as a friend but this was just different. It was starting to all make sense to her, all her recent actions that involved him. The other day she'd ran off when he'd seen her in different clothing. The scarentines dance was just awkward. This was just awkward. Holly noticed West had looked away. She kind of felt like she wanted to run off but instead stared down at her book for the moment.
"Yeah, I'll go."

If Holly had thought he was acting strangely before, it was nothing compared to now. As she spoke West began to smile, his gaze still directed elsewhere, and when she finally agreed, he started to laugh. It was a quiet chuckling that he couldn't stop at first, but when he turned to look at her his laughter seemed to die on his lips. West cleared his throat. He was still grinning.
"Yeah. Good. It'll b'fun, I promise." He pushed off of the bench with his right hand and stood up quickly. "So. Yeah. I'ma go." It was safe to assume that at some point during this conversation he had gone insane. "I'll come pickya up. Then, I mean." He thought about asking her what she was going to wear, then realized there was no way she would know yet. "Don't wear that dress. Y'know the one." The words seemed less than commanding when paired with his stupid smirk.

Holly was prepared to come to two conclusions based off of how West was acting. She was either dreaming or he was possessed. Of course it was option c aka he was just acting very strangely. He almost looked as if he was laughing now. This was going down in a book of weirdest days ever, a wrath demon laughing. The ghoul looked back up and noticed he was looking at her, and grinning. Not creepy at all. What she did notice was that though insane sounding, he seemed much more calm.
She opened her mouth to reply and no words came out but instead watched him get up. Holly grinned slightly. "Already wasn't planning on wearing it anyway." Wasn't even sure where it was. Now she had to go dress shopping. The ghoul waved her hand for a moment. "I'll see ya then." She watched him walk off back towards his dorm. Holly looked back down at her book. "What just happened?"
