Oh. Well, that made sense, although Ada wasn't sure why the other mare hadn't just said that to begin with. Social customs in this region were so very perplexing! She mulled that fact over while she watched the other mare drink, noting with a smile the slipping of the mare's braid into the pond. That was a slight advantage of short hair; she didn't have to worry too much about it getting into things!
She was surprised at the other mare's sudden declaration of departure, but aside of a bit of confused blinking managed to avoid showing it. "Well, if you must, then you must. I don't have any claims on you to prevent you from going, so please go and enjoy yourself. It has been nice to meet you, and maybe we will see each other again. We are neither of us so camouflaged for this terrain that it's not a possibility!"

She could tell that the mare was a little perhaps disappointed in her sudden leave, that only made it all the much harder. "I would invite you to my abode, but I feared that was over stepping boundaries and I do not know how my lover would feel with a sudden guest." She frowned, she really had no idea how Kuro would take to a visitor.
She had walked closer to the mare, she wanted to comfort her in some manner, but was afraid to touch her. Perhaps touching her would really be over stepping her boundaries and would ruin their friendship if there was one here? She was running over too many thoughts in her mind and probably seemed even weirder since she was just standing there staring at her.

It was just as well that Ada didn't realize that the other mare thought she was disappointed; that would have confused her even more than usual. She was surprised at the suddenness of the announcement, but she had no reason to be upset that the other mare was leaving. After all, they'd only just met and only qualified as new acquaintances. No, she had no expectations of special treatment, and couldn't hold Amu's pre-exisiting plans against her.
So she was quick to shake her head when Amu began making excuses. "Please do not feel that you have to apologize. I have no claims on you, and it can be awkward if you aren't expecting visitors. It has been nice to meet you, though."
She paused at the end of that statement, eyeing the approaching mare. Being non-touchy herself, she wasn't really sure what was going on. Whatever it was, it was odd. "Are you alright?"

Amu found that she had been right when the other asked if she was alright. "Ah yes quite, forgive me." She spoke with honesty, she backed away, she was feeling rather foolish. "It was indeed nice to meet you." The words left her mouth rather quickly and she found herself retreating rather hastily. She didn't want to make the incident any more awkward than it had already become. Once she was out of the view and deeper into the woods, she was beating herself up for acting in such a manner. Her head hung low as she wandered home, she wondered if she would ever see her again.
