Owl! What a cute name for such an endearing girl. Edel was about to reply to her question but found herself yanked down to the ground by the arm.

To be honest, she was more startled by the sudden grounding than the jingling.

Scratch that.

Owl was yelling about not yelling. Edel hid her laughter behind her other hand. Meeting new people is rather fun.

Jingle.

Edel squinted from behind the books to find the source of that ~mysterious jingling noise~
It was getting closer and closer but ah, she couldn't see where it was coming from!

"I can still hear. We must be loud." She said seriously as she put up a claw to her bandage... As though she was signalling for them to be quiet.
But she said loud...

OWL WTF.

"If we be really loud we can be snake up on jingle and hurt it!!" Owl got up slowly and crept to a bookcase, doing a kung-fu type pose. Even if the jingly thing had tried to attack her, Owl wouldn't have known what to do. But, she had to look impressive. Act first, think later.

Though with Owl it was more act first, think never.

BUT OWL IS SMART. TOTALLY SMART. AS U CAN C.

Jingle. Jingle, jingle.

Obliviously, Cat had stopped a few shelves back to quietly examine a rather excitable book that had tried to snap at him. While he silently enjoyed the happy tinkling noise, he had no idea anyone else in the library could hear it. In fact, he had been so absorbed in exploring the place that he hadn't even considered for a moment that there COULD be other people in it.

The frantic, grammatically incorrect shouting, however, did catch his attention.

"Hm?" He inquired, peeking up from a book moments before it slammed shut where his head had been. They were saying something about...jingling? Oh!

Jingle-J-Jingle-J-Jingle~

Cat flicked at the pass hanging around his collar to produce a louder, more frantic jingling. Huhuhuu~

Edel watched the rotting bear get into action, feeling very much bemused. She too got up and walked over to where Owl was. She looked so adorable Edel wanted to pet her head but ah, restraint, my lady.

It probably wasn't a great idea to hurt whoever was making the noise, but they COULD sneak up on it. Either way, Edel wasn't afraid of the jingling....

"Let's follow the jingling noise Owl," she suggested. Stepping out from behind the bookcase, Edel ninjaed about in the most .... elegant way possible.... if that was even called ninja-ing.

Perhaps she should call out here kitty kitty. Afterall, those jingling noises.... they sound like those from cats!

Owl was suddenly scared.
"It's getting quieter!!!" she whispered, wondering why the sound was increasing.
They never had jingling at home.
Her kung-fu stance remained as she started to run awkwardly to find the source of the ticking jingling. She almost tripped over a badly placed book. Bodies were hard!
"Outcome outcome are where you!" she said, running towards the source of the jingling.

...That roughly translates to "Come out come out wherever you are!"

Here kitty kitty Edel whispered under her breath.

The jingling was getting louder! She was almost there.

JINGLEJINGLE

It was coming from behind the shelf in front. Edel tiptoed towards it and peered at the aisle in between.

A CAT!

Except.....it was a cat boy......shady looking too.

"K-Kitty?"

Finally, after an eternal purgatory on that train, finally she had managed to arrive at her destination and leave that stuffy coach behind. She had been getting SO bored sitting and staring out that window as the scenery whizzed by. Except now she was being told that there was the matter of some paper work that needed handling. Aislin had been just about ready to scream in frustration when she'd been informed, or rather reminded, of the open house. She'd entertain herself as a guest while she waited to become an actual part of the student body.

After claiming her visitors pass and looping it around her neck she set off into what was soon to become her alma mater with a bounce and swing in her step. It was a little strange being completely grounded but that was a small price to pay to be able to roam.

The banshee peeked into a few rooms before finally finding herself before possibly the largest collection of books she'd ever seen. Eyes widened slightly as a small smile curled her lips upward. Her hands came together in front of her as she clapped them together daintily in excitement. Books weren't so bad. Not her favorite, but they were something that her friend dearly enjoyed. It was worth it to have a glance around to be able to report back over groanspring what it was like.

Aislin jogged into the endless sea of shelves, delighting in the flutter of pages and giving a giggling shriek of glee that echoed eerily into the distance.

Cat kept a shap ear out. Or, the equivilant of an ear, hidden under those shady bundles. He continued to jingle his collar, inviting his new playthings closer, closer, cautiously listening out for footsteps and frightened whispering, when suddenly-!

Right when it seemed his new friends were moments away, he heard a familiar noise. A giggle, a shreik.

The bright white glow of a crescent-moon smile flashed into existence amidst the shadows. The momentary glimpse of him would be a quick grin, black ears perking and tail whipping, before he skittered away around the other side of the bookshelf, jingling as he went.

He was both hiding and seeking, now. He knew that shreik, that laugh.

Where was it coming from?

Syb stepped into the building, that large, gorgeously dark and creepy looking building that held all of the books! Oh, how she had dreamed of seeing a building full of books, books full of bodice ripping romances, screams of terror--

Wait, that WAS a scream. Kind of. More of a shriek, really. The patchwork girl tilted her head slightly, looking at the library for a moment, her fingers playing with the tag that hung around her neck idly before smiling. Libraries were even better than she had dreamed!!

She headed inside, looking for the source of the shriek, or barring finding that, the romance section!

Libraries were usually a place of silence and boredom but this place... Ash was enjoying herself more and more as she hopped and skipped and virtually frolicked through the monolithic shelves. They reached up into forever and she would have given anything to be able to airily float upward even just a bit more to see the kind of books that were kept so far away from plain sight.

As it was she was being thoroughly entertained by a particularly snappish text, wiggling her fingers at it just out of reach. The poor thing was straining at it's chain, flapping it's pages irately in it's attempt to get them. The corridor she stood in began to haze over just the slightest as a mysteriously thin fog threaded from her throat, tinged the palest of yellows in her mirth.

Jingle j-jing. Jingle.

"Hm?" She looked up from where she was still bent forward, one hand on her knee, the other inches from the flailing book as she tried to make out the direction she'd just heard a faint tinkling coming from. "Hello?" She called out, a new trickle of fog curling into the very word she had just spoken.

"Oh my, oh my, oh my~" teemed the ecstatic young glitch ghost. She was actually here on the campus! What an absolute delight! After waiting in line for registration and getting a skull tag, Pepin found herself having to actually use her legs to walk around the Amityville campus. It wasn't entirely upsetting for she'd be able to not only talk to current students at the school but also to ones that may be piling in by the next enrollment flux.

Like a child in a theme park, the whispy maiden wandered the halls with sparkles in her eyes. So many halls, so many rooms, so many ~people~. Naturally she sought out the landmark with the highest occupancy which at the point in time was the Library.

So many people for a library... shouldn't be quiet... just how I like it.. she couldn't help but let a giggle escape as she bounded in excitedly.

The current crowd was quite diverse but Pepin was satisfied to find that there were actually quite a few ghosts besides her self. Kinfolk! It was far easier to relate to them for they too probably managed to wander Halloween Town for a while in their lives.

Are they... chasing something?

Was it starting to get foggy? Or was that...mist?

Cat knew that mist, oh he knew it-! As quick as his shifting and heaving body could carry him, jingling as he went, he dashed around the next shelf and the next until-

"Aislin~!" He tried to resist shouting it, instead settling on an excited hiss of a whisper. They were in a library, for goodness sake.

He was unaware, as of yet, that more people wandered in by the minute. Had he have known, perhaps he might have been more excited, maybe even concerned that his reading and exploring would be so very interrupted. For now he was just trying to stop himself utterly going to pieces in joy. A friend, he found an old friend!

Syb wandered farther in, reaching up to let her fingers trail over the backs of the less excitable books, her eyes huge with wonder as she took in all the various titles. This was where her mother wanted her to go--

She stopped, her ears catching onto the soft jingling noise and her attention automatically diverted. There were whispers and shouting and all sorts of interesting noises, but it was the jingling that caught her. "A kitty?" she asked, her eyes widening with happiness. She turned, heading further into the shelves of books to see if she could find him!

The jingles were getting closer but from which direction they were coming she couldn't tell. That was until from behind she heard the sound of a familiar voice. Aislin stood and turned, her eyes opening to reveal a flat white gaze, lips splitting into a sharp-toothed grin.

"Cat!" She threw her arms open and leapt, jolting slightly as she simply landed hard on her other foot. That was right... that stupid tag they were making her wear. Oh well because- "Cat!"

The long of limb banshee ghoul swept her shadowy friend up in a hug, bent down slightly to match his height with her cheek pressing against his shadowy cheek. Her grin never moved as she spoke, instead her voice coming almost hollowly from the seemingly fathomless hole at the base of her neck from which fog delicately whisped. "Cat it's been ages and ages! How'd you get here from there so fast?"

Ulmuka had arrived by car. A loooong black car. The fanciest hearse that Halloween could buy. He wasn't trying to show off, it wasn't in him to do so, but his brother and his father definitely were. The strix was positively ruffled when he burst from the car, a man sized beast of an owl. Those passing would find the monster bobbing back and forth, it's jagged beak clacking in excitement. It wasn't the most encouraging thing to see when you were looking for a nice time. The owl was joined shortly by a young, handsome demon who was clearly too old for the school. With a chuckle and a twirl of his goatee he dropped a visitors pass around the neck of the excited owl-monster and with a slight bone crunching noise, a tall lanky teen clad in cream and gold stood in in it's place. His large wings stretched and settled onto his back.

"Awww.." Ulmuka's voice was slightly low and grinding but seemed to be laced with a high pitched giggle. "Let's get food. FOOD." His wings opened, flapped and almost knocked over a nearby visitor. He'd only gotten an inch off of the ground before he was tugged back down by his impeccably dressed brother.

"Now now.. Muka." He tutted but wasn't looking at the Strix. He instead oogled all the young women mulling around on campus. "Go straight to the most academic place you can. Once that is out of the waaaay.." He gave Muka a sly smile. "Then you can do what you want. Let's keep father happy at least for a little while."

So his brother went of to do... whatever it was that he did and Muka happily obeyed. The cafeteria may have been full of food but he was mostly interested in the people. Ghouls and boys and places where there were lots of them. The grinning monster slunk through the halls, almost in a haze of delight. His grin was spread wide as he absorbed all the delicious smells from the variety of beings present on campus. He hardly realized he'd arrived in the library until a delicious smelling ghoul in her... underwear... leapt past him onto a boy that looked like a cat.

Ulmuka didn't speak. He stared. He stared and his head tilted almost completely horizontal in curiousity. How cute they were! How wonderful they tasted from here! A hissing giggle escaped his mouth and he clacked his teeth, loudly, in amusement and joy. He already LOVED this place!!
