A wry smile spread over Cellyn's lips as she adjusted her own cloak. "I take it you're not a fan of the cold?" she guessed with a short laugh. "It seems like it's going to only grow worse, so I'll leave it to you to decide whether we leave and risk it or stay here and risk it. It's all the same to me," she told him with a shrug of her shoulders.
While waiting for his reply, she snapped her fingers, as if just thinking of something - which she had forgotten up until that moment. "I want to assume you have a horse, but given how many theives there are in the area, it isn't safe to assume anyone has anything right now," Cellyn admitted with a sheepish smile.

Noj tilted his head, chuckled, and patted the nearest horse's mane. "I'll name him Fluffy." Eying the woman he sighed. "Yes I have a horse, though I didn't plan on paying the housing fee. My plan for the storm was to weather it at the inn but that doesn't appear to be happening." Walking outside, he sniffed the air, and looked at the clouds before walking back in. "But don't worry, it'll blow itself out by the end of the night, so we could go shelter it in a cave about a mile out of town, that may or may not have bears in it, or we could sit here and chill with the horses, or you in all your graciousness could pay for a room for us to stay in, and don't worry, I've been properly spaded so I won't start humping you in the middle of the night." Laughing to himself, not really caring if she found it funny, Noj meandered to his actual horse, a rather majestic looking Black warhorse with a white mane that he had received during his tour with the Andoran military, and decided to keep afterward. "Anyway princess, the choice is up to you."

"Princess?" Cellyn repeated the nickname in a tone that was a mixture of disgust, horror and something horribly close to laughter. "If you don't mind, sweetcheeks, I'll pay for a room here. You're big and strong and I have plenty of knives. If someone tries to bother us, I'm sure we can handle it." She smiled sweetly at him, managing not to blush as she remained in the doorway, the snow swirling around her. "Besides, you never know - who said I was worried about you humping me, as you so eloquently put it? Perhaps it was more hoping."

With a last smile, she turned her back and began to head back to the inn, although she wasn't about to go inside without the strange man - Noj - at her back. There were too many unhappy and eager men inside, she had decided.

Noj did an eloquent bow and followed after, fingers laced and resting behind his head as he walked. It made his fingers cold, but eh, they were going back inside. Maybe his hopes for a bar fight would be answered. He doubted it. Despite his normally demeanor Noj still cast a rather intimidating shadow. Even if he wasn't overly muscular, it was still evident he had a solid frame, and had his blade. The only thing that detracted was that he still looked like a man just breaking into manhood, the only thing that contradicted it was an occasional deep look in his eyes that betrayed his apparent age. Noj was good at acting immature and stupid. Admittedly it wasn't all acting.

Reassured by Noj's presence, and wondering what he thought of her mouth, Cellyn strode back into the inn and was aware of several pairs of eyes focusing on her almost immediately. With a feeling verging on wariness, she headed to the bar and stared at the man until he moved down.

"And what do ye want, mistress?" he asked, glancing over her head at Noj with a look that barely betrayed the surprise in his eye. Either he hadn't taken her for a whore, or Noj for a man to use one. Either way, the fact that they were suddenly returning together was the highlight in the dull evening of the drunkards and dullards.

"I want a room for the night to wait out the storm," Cellyn informed him, a gesture to the darkened windows reminding him of the weather outside. "Just one room, it doesn't matter how many beds," she told him, honestly not caring herself.

"So, it'll be one bed for the two of ye, then," he said with a snigger, waiting expectantly for payment. She pressed the coin into his hand with a sigh.

Noj couldn't help but chuckle either. It wasn't a particularly humorous event, but eh, spreading mirth wouldn't hurt. Especially since a lot of these men was most likely sharpening knives for him. He spotted the rat faced man that he diced with, and gave a friendly wave, that got a rather satisfying scowl in return. Almost one to be proud of. It was his fault for trying to pull him over. Eying the innkeeper, he couldn't help but speak up. "Just so you know she's the one paying, and I'm the one whoring myself for a cloak, I don't want there to be any confusion about how loose I am when warmth is concerned." It was the truth, depending on the twist of the words. He was whoring his navigational ability and overall deal with trouble, er 'stay out of trouble' skills, for a cloak. It made him giggle. Almost.

Cellyn's mouth almost dropped open as she heard Noj's words go over her head, but she managed to keep a straight face when she saw the shocked expression the innkeeper gave her as he handed her the key.
"Well, it's good to know what company ye keep, miss," he finally said, watching her as she merely smiled and turned away for the stairs.
"Come along, sweetcheeks, it's going to be a busy night," she called to Noj over her shoulder, one hand on the banister. She raised an eyebrow at him expectantly before chuckling and gliding up the stairs, aware that now every curious onlooker was watching them.

She was pleased to see the doors to the rooms were just as heavy and worn as the furniture - anyone trying to steal or harass them would be hard-pressed to sneak up on them.

Noj couldn't help but chuckle, following after her to the staircase. The looks they were getting just so happened to be priceless. And he had to admit this Cellyn girl was good at holding a joke. Most woman would have run away, or slapped him. Most probably slapped him. As he entered the room, he grabbed the sitting chair and wedged it under the door handle tightly. The only way anyone was getting in was with an axe, or channeling he supposed. But he wasn't on any Aes Sedai or Asha'man calling cards that he knew of thankfully. Eying the bed it was rather small, they'd have to be on top of each other in order for them to both fit. Whatever, there was a rug, if ratty, on the ground, and the two cloaks together were rather comfortable. "So do you have any over all plan as to where we're going princess? Besides generally southward?"

She huffed a sigh and folded herself onto the floor with a grace that was natural for her. "Not particularly, no," she admitted. "I'm traveling partly for pleasure and partly for business. As long as I can speak with a few merchants every once in a while, my work is done and I'm free to do as I wish," she added in satisfaction, letting the cloak pool around her as she inspected the room from her spot. It was clean, praise the Light, and that was about the only thing positive.

"I'm assuming, since you aren't a complete animal, that you're going to say you can sleep on the floor, etc.," she added with a wave of her hand. "And that's perfectly fine with me. You can use my cloak, it's warm in here from the fire," she commented, as the chiminey was part of the reason the room was so small - it cut it almost in half. The warmth from it was priceless on a night like this one, however.

"Ruff ruff grrrr. I'm plenty an animal, see? I have fleas." Noj inspected the contents of the fireplace, noting the soggy nasty materials and no kindling. Sigh. Pulling out some flint, mostly for show, he piled the wood together and began striking the stones together, letting a little bit of Saidin flow into him, just a small trickle of Fire to dry the wood and actually lite it, though not enough to be noticeable by observation. It was annoying but it eventually worked. "Alright, whatever, the easier my living is to come across the better." Dragging the rug over, he folded it so that the holes were covered and then wrapped up in his cloak. "Night Princess, please don't take advantage of me in my helplessness otherwise I just won't know what to do."

Cellyn couldn't help it. She wadded up her cloak and threw it at his head before stripping down to her shift. She refused to sleep in her clothes, it just never felt right the next day. Folding the dress on the floor next to the bed, she curled up on the thin mattress and heaved a sigh.
"I just bet you won't know what to do," she muttered, knowing he could hear her. "This is probably the closest thing you've gotten to intimacy in your entire life, I just know it, with that mouth of yours."
PostPosted: Tue May 31, 2011 8:39 pm

Noj let the cloak hit his head, rolling around until it was positioned under his head as a pillow. he didn't feel like unwrapping himself. "What are you talking about, livestock don't care about my mouth at all. The only down side is that gnawing on sod is difficult without the proper teeth unfortunately." It was a half-hearted comment. He was quite comfortable by the fire, even if it was on a raggedy rug on top of a hard wood floor. Eh, better than stone, or a bunch of tiny rocks that always manage to poke your side.

A sigh escaped her before she could help it and she rolled her eyes, an unseen and futile gesture. "I swear by the Light, the Creator saw fit to find me the strangest, most bizarre man alive just for laughs," she lamented, tucking her knees closer to her chest and suppressing a yawn.
"Good night, sweetcheeks. If you must satisfy your carnal urges, don't make too much of a ruckus in the stables," she said with a laugh.

Noj didn't retort, for he was already pretending to be asleep, er asleep, whatever. He was a bit of a light sleeper anyhow, his life hadn't exactly been...restful. He tended to wake up to every creak of a floor board, to the point that at some unnamed hour he started pacing, or more rolling on the floor (he was warm!) to burn energy. And before he knew it the morning had arrived. As he predicted the storm had blown through and besides another foot or so of snow on the ground(ugh) travel was possible. Not that he wanted to get out of his cocoon of cloaks and rug pieces. He'd just wait for Cellyn to get up and force him out.

Cellyn stretched, feeling what felt like every bone in her back pop, before she sat up and pulled her dress on over her head. It took her a few minutes to clear her mind, always fuzzy in the morning, and let her hair fall loose until she could retrieve her brush from her saddlebag.

Lacing her boots up, she eyed the bundle on the floor and rolled her eyes in supplication to some diety above. "Up, up, I just know you're awake," she ordered, prodding him with her foot, hands on her hips for balance. "If I'm a princess, then I order you," she added with a short laugh.
