He followed her part of the ways, watching her move and sway... He liked that sway... She seemed to know she was a lady and liked to strut it about, whether she knew it or not. He stopped at the edge of the lake. He'd already taken a dip in the water. No need for another just yet.

Mother nature seemed to turn up the attractive meter on this mare though. The breeze gave just enough wild beauty to her to make his heart skip and he seemed to stare at her half submerged figure for a brief moment because of it.

He soon caught himself staring and shook his head, clearing his throat slightly with a chuckle. "I find that hard to believe, but I'll take your word for it." He then tilted his head to her final statement.

"You prefer to be alone?" he asked, ears now fully focused upon her being. "And why is that?"

He tilted his head and lifted his brow. "I... suppose?" He blinked at her, seeming lost in his own thoughts, if but for a fleeting moment. He fluffed his feathers slightly and sighed. "But if others don't like you for who you really are, then why bother with them?" he countered.

"I mean, it's good to have friends, but what's the point in putting on a mask in front of them? That's just sheltering them from the real you and so in reality they are becoming friends with the person you are pretending to be and not the real you. So when the real you comes out, you shock or amaze them and they either know you better or abandon you for being someone completely different.."

Great.... now he was rambling. A trait he had somehow managed to pick up from his father after he had told himself numerous times he never would.

"And, you should probably shake off all that water before you catch a cold..."

Too much like his father...

He chuckled and grinned to hide the inner bickerings of his thoughts over his actions. Surely he wasn't becoming his father already? He was still... mostly young and no where near as old. Still had dreams and ambitions (mostly mares and personal reputational fame) to chase.

Returning to the topic, he shook his head again. "Besides, my sister will tell you that the company of others keeps you from going insane..."

He then blinked as if the dim light bulb in his head brightened at an idea. "... Maybe that's why she keeps a lizard......" he added, mostly to himself and possibly unaware that he had said it aloud at all.

Boy... if he didn't know any better, he very well found the jackpot of all mares.

His jaw dropped slightly as he was abruptly surprised by the sudden intimacy she seemed to display. And she seemed to be squishing herself into his thoughts which only made her that much more intriguing... or... maybe he was just that easy to read...

He shook himself out of his stupor and straightened back up rather quickly. "Uh, right." He cocked his head to one side and looked her over quizically. "H-How did you...?!" he shook his head again. "Nevermind."

He pranced a bit as he moved to follow her lead and came to a stop beside her. "And I guess that all depends..." he ruffled his feathers a bit. "You see... there's... this mare. She's been running through my thoughts for..." he weighed his thoughts teasingly. "... for a short while by now. Problem is, I'm not quite sure I know her well enough to know whether or not she'd allow herself to be chased..."

He made a small pause for dramatic effect then smirked. She was a rather intelligent mare - or so he could gather from their talk so far - he hoped she'd catch on to his subtly.

"You're in my brain... reading my thoughts..." he stated matter of factly to her first query. "How are you doing that?" He shrugged and sighed. "But don't worry about answering that." he chuckled.

He watched her prance off and about, watching her every move as if grace itself guided each of her hooves. He chuckled at her words and started to prance about behind her, letting her lead him about the area for the time being.

"Alright then." He smiled - probably the first genuine smile he has offered all day - the rest had been made to accent his playful nature. "So I guess that brings up my next question."

He pranced just a tad bit faster so that they moved side by side again. "Are there any other Stallions in your life I should be aware of?" he smirked playfully at this.

He laughed a bit. "Because I find myself having an internal debate as to whether chasing you would be considered too soon or not." he winked then swished his own tail at the thought. "What better way to help determine the outcome of this decision than to assure myself I will not get pummeled by a jealous male in the process."

He chuckled and turned, stepping to her side a bit. "Don't get me wrong, I'll fight for a pretty girl if I have to... But I'd rather avoid the conflict of confrontation if necessary."

"So!" he turned again, seeming to circle her this time. "No Stallions with obvious interest in you..." He paused in front of her after completing a full circle. "Are there perhaps any Stallions -you- have an interest in?" He flicked his tail softly against the wind. "If you don't mind me asking, that is?"

Ramiro was beside himself now... She knew how to play him and she knew it well. He smirked to her comments and stood up rather proudly after he shook himself free from her teasings.

"Well, yours is a tail no Stallion should be able to resist." He grinned at his clever remark and gently nibbled on her flank when she passed - the equivalent to a man slapping a woman on the behind. He laughed a bit then turned to follow her in her circling.

"You seem to like playing games. Perhaps I shall play one with you." he flicked his tail at the idea as a rather playful grin graced his muzzle. "How fast are you at running?"

He laughed a bit. "Because. It has a one of a kind pattern on it. It's yours and no one elses. And your tail is streaked in two colors which is another defining look." He shrugged. "Any Stallion should consider themselves lucky to have a girl like you who wears her patterns proudly such as you do." he grinned.

"Based on those facts alone, can you blame me for wanting to be that Lucky Stallion?" he grins, standing proudly with a cleverly raised brow to his query.

"And of course I love to play games. There wouldn't be much fun to life if you didn't play a game now and then." He moved to stand beside her now, his tail swishing to gently brush against hers. "What do you say...? Care to join me in a game of tag?"

Ramiro chuckled at this and flicked his tail in idle laughter. "Well, of course I do!" He grinned and took a step towards her. "And I'm sure I'm more than capable of handling anything you can throw at me. If not, then I'll accept the challenge."

He then blinked as she seemed to trot away from him a bit, the words 'you're it.' seemed to take a moment to register before he smirked and flicked his tail again.

He starts slowly then nickers in playful delight as quickens his pace. He blinked slightly in bewilderment as she seemed to bolt off, but he quickly resumed the game and followed suit. He chased after her , lifting his wings slightly to help him run juuuuuuust a bit faster. He decided to let her run for a while, to see just how long she would continue to tease him so.
