Kidondo nodded. "That, I do not doubt." He stood, flexing the muscles in his shoulders and turned his head to gaze out across the group. It seemed Azar was rubbing one of the Hongshan up the wrong way. Luckily, his son seemed to have it all under control. For that, the Regent was grateful. As talented and skilled as Azar was, he certainly did have a way of angering people and getting angered in return.

"Very well. The den site is not too far. There are two large caverns side by side which will house all of you quite comfortably. Guards will be posted there, too, in case you have any questions or needs that arise whilst you rest up. You already know Azar'bijan and Heti. They are scheduled for the first watch and will inform you of any changeover." He drew in a short breath and took a few small steps towards the gathering of lions.

--

Azar'bijan - growling and snarling - decided to leave the irritating female in his son's capable paws. "I'll waste no more breath on you, rogue." He hissed as he turned away, moving to circle behind the group and prepare to move them on into the lands (if that was what had been decided).

Heti remained by Amara, watching his father leave with a small, amused shake of his head. "I must introduce you to some of the Firekin females." He smiled across at her. "You may find them perhaps even more intimidating than us males." He cast a look across at the Regent pair and grinned. Of both of them, it was No who he found more intimidating, though he couldn't put his paw on exactly why.

He stood and walked with her. "We are a strange breed. If you decide to stay then you will no doubt see the worst and the best of us. I like to think I am one of the better ones."

He paused and looked across at Nawvlee and the Regents. "Hm, looks like you might be on the move into the lands very soon."

--

Kidondo stepped up alongside Nawvlee and gestured to the others with a tilt of his head, continued speaking with the rogue lions' leader. "We are ready to show you and your troupe to the dens."

Suditi looked over at Roho before making herself nod. Yes, that was true most of their group had fought for their lives. The ones from her pride, they were the survivors of that....battle - more of a massacre from what she had seen. She should have been there to fight. The lioness dropped her gaze to the ground in silent shame. If only she had known...

"We can't let that happen, Roho." She quietly replied, her gaze narrowing. Just because they may feel safe here did not mean that this fight was over. There was no telling what that other pride would do, if it would come here and attempt to do the same as it had to their home. But this time she would be here to fight. "Every moment, every breath I shall be training." She commented looking over at her dear friend, "We have to remind each other that this place does not guarantee our safety. No pride ever will unless we keep our guard up and make it safe."

Suditi rose to her paws, sitting here was killing her. She wanted to move. "If they have sense then they should listen carefully to what we say and make sure to check every detail of our information. Especially if their pride may be in danger of attack. If they don't..." She shook her head and offered a small smile to Roho, "Ah. That's right, we'll make sure that won't happen."

Watching the firekin, Suditi let out a soft laugh - almost a sigh of relief. "Guess we will be staying for now after all."

So far, Nawvlee had mixed opinions of Azar'bijan and Heti, but familiar was OK for first watch- and he knew that's exactly what it was, however Kidondo tried to describe it more optimistically.

"Thank you," he responded politely, turning around to look back at the group and Kidondo as he stepped out toward them. He looked over the whole group, pausing on the Firekin guards but only briefly. When Kidondo stepped back beside him and gestured to go, Nawvlee nodded- both to the Regent and to the Hongshan.

Now, finally, they had a home again.

Adiel bowed her head, trying her best not to look like a cowering fool. At least Nawvlee made them look presentable. For all her gifts and acquired wisdom, Adiel couldn't shake the nerves from her. Hopefully they mistook her nerves for simply being traumatized. But she knew better. She remembered her old teacher, preparing her for some sort of event, and her repeating her lines a thousand times and still stumbling. Hoping to impress her own king.

And now they were staring at another. She had to admit, she was surprised by how generous the pride was. Although she had her suspicions they were more interested in learning about a potential foe then true benevolence. She rose her head, and kept up behind Nawvlee. Maybe that wasn't a bad thing.

Someone had to be prepared.

----

Mizuka blinked. So, what? They were members now? Nice for them to station guards outside their dens for 'assistance'. He scoffed and flattened his ears. He wasn't about to complain though. Dens with guards were better then dens with...well, no dens at all. After spending most of their nights on the plains, Mizuka doubted anyone in their group had slept soundly since the attack. Just the thought of it made his shoulders ache.

With a quick and awkward glance to his sister, Mizuka quickened his pace to follow Adiel. Exactly how many dens were they getting, anyways? "Hey, Adi-"

The lioness shot him a sour look, and quickened her pace. Mizuka sighed, and fell back into the makeshift cluster. It looked like he'd have to be making some new friends in this new home of theirs.

Moving around the group, Heti and Azar took their places, one at the side and one at the back, allowing the Regent pair to lead them to their destination. Father and son watched, ever vigilant, as the small procession began to make their move up to the guarded dens.

Walking next to Nawvlee, Kidondo nodded politely at the word of thanks, looking up across the desert to the stark, black rocks that signified their destination.

Roho, who had moved forwards at the beckoning of the others, turned to look at Suditi, her eyes hopeful if not exactly content. "You and me both, sister." She replied. "You and me both." And though she did not smile, her body visibly relaxed and all the days of fear and terror and running seemed to have caught up with her. Tiredness weighed her down heavily as she moved to trudge after the others, doing her best not to stumble in the sand.

Her darting eyes, coincidently, met with Mizuka's during his brief glance her way and, with a soft growl, she strengthened her posture and moved up towards the front of the group; head held high despite the turmoil still roiling in her heart.

This was to be their new home, but she would never forget her old one, nor the pain of the memories attached to it.
