(Sorry for the delay guys.)
Train shook his leg a few times trying to get the coil off. "What? Oh ah ha, thanks could you maybe grab it and pull?" He just needed the thing to stop moving with him when he tried to move. This thing was quite crafty! He wasn't able to outsmart it. Oh he hoped it would be useful to the others. And hey, if it got the shiny thing out of the crack, then it was useful.
"Ya know... sticking the sticky things... on the shiny thing, and to this springy thing, we might be able to lift it up... yeah?" With a few flaps he ended up on his back, scooting away from the coil. Hopefully North could grab and hold long enough to get it off. But what was that? Did they wake one of the chicks? Oh dear, they had an audience...

North tried to pull at the spring while Train jutted his leg in the air, he was trying to grip at it with it wings but it was no luck there was too much tension in it, So with a determined frown he grabbed it with his beak and tugged, it stuck for a moment and them gently it slid off. North tottered back slightly with the coil in his beak, he then placed the spring down and with a delighted grin he bowed to an invisible crowd. Turning to bow around, he noticed a coffee male watching from afar, so he gave a cheery wave.
"Great stuff! heres your shiny back"
He said, whipping back around to face Train.
"Right so you're reckoning to put the goop on the end and we can just fish it out? sounds good"

((Yeah, one of his inventions slammed him into the stained glass window and fractured his spine and rattled his mind a bit.))
Tobe glanced at the new pidge that was sneaking around but was more worried about his orb and listened intently to the others. "I-i think i-i-it will work." he said, "I-if we m-make sure the sticky stuff is o-on s-securely." he took the orange sweet orb in his beak and crunched, breaking it open and sure enough there was a glob of white sweet smelling sticky stuff. "h-here." he said digging it out with a feather, "I-it's sticky enough, i t-t-think.".
The gum stuck to his feather as he held it out so they could put it on the spring. He looked again to the sparkly orb to make sure it was still there and hoped with all his might that this plan would work.
