"Vigilantes and martyrs; they're kind of scary." Ever dug the palms of his hands into his eyes, leaving his hair tousled in its wake. He looked tired more than anything else, in his too-big pajamas, a rumpled mess, as he pushed away from the wall to join her on the edge of the bed.
"That's why I don't care. Just tell me, next time. They won't kill civilians -- or if they might, I could always power up around a corner." He licked his lips and shrugged raising his eyebrows at her. "Okay?"

Nodding once was all he really would get when it came towards the matter, she would talk and tell him next time something like this happens... maybe. Then again, could she consider this as an order from a superior officer? Maybe it was... next time she was assigned orders she would talk to them.
Making a move, not sure if he would like it, she leaned a bit against his shoulder tiredly. It was just a friendly gesture, nothing more. Her own exhaustion starting to set in. ".....Your going to tell Zac aren't you."

"...ah." s**t, he hadn't even thought that far apart. Ever went quiet, tipping his own head and bracing himself to support her, long legs stretched out off the bed. He knew the importance of telling the truth to Zac. Not telling would mean getting berated for keeping information back, would put him on the s**t list. But telling wouldn't actually help anyone, either...
"I can...not, but only under two conditions." It came out of him in a slow sigh. Ever fought not to roll his eyes. This was stupid. "The first is that if he finds out, I'm going to play dumb as hell, and you better back me up on the fact that I knew absolutely nothing about it."
He cleared his throat, then, shooting a sideways look down at the top of her head. "And the other is that you tell me next time."

"Thats all?" Leaning against him she was still short as hell, so if she wanted to look up at him she had to strain her neck pretty far back.
"...I think after the mind wipe, i have gotten pretty good about playing dumb." Her body shook a little in silent laughter followed by a tired sigh. "Alright fine. If he finds out ill say i lied to you and said i stayed the night at a friends house or something.
"...And i will talk to you next time if i have orders about something." She felt glad he was at least giving her the option... he could have just ordered her.
Besides, she had something to talk to Zac about that involved a senshi as well. But she did not want to bring up the fact she had met another eternal senshi a week or so ago to Ever as well at the moment.

"The best thing would be if you told him, though." Ever fidgeted, and this time he looked away -- back to his bundle of blankets, the safety of his bed, and then up to the cell phone sitting on the dresser. He was an idiot, letting her slip out of this. Maybe 'sucker' was a better word. Damnit.
"I mean, he'll be pretty pissed if you don't. If he finds out about it from somewhere else..." He cleared his throat and shrugged, finally starting to work his way out from under her lean, to get up and out of her grasp.

"Yes but telling him would only make him worry more... he already worries so much about me." A little too much really, but she knew why he was doing it. She did not mind having an over protective brother, but it was weighing down on his shoulders a bit too much.
"He is already worrying about me when i move to the dorms...talking about not trusting my roommate and booby-trapping my desk and such. If he somehow finds out before i build the courage to tell him... or i feel he wouldn't freak so much, then i will have to walk that path."

"It'll be harder if you leave it for later." He shook his head, leaning past her to grab his book and then retreating back toward his own pile of blankets. Ever wasn't going to try forcing her to talk to her brother, but neither was he going to approve of keeping it secret. He had all kinds of experience in how hiding things could later blow up in your face. Smash your life a little. Break trust.
He shook his head, flopping down into his makeshift bed and swiping his hair back down into place. One finger was kept in the book, marking his page, his mouth shifting to make another comment -- and not coming up with anything.

No longer having him to lean on, she leaned backwards and flopped on the mattress. Giving a sigh, she rolled on to her side and propped her head up with her hand. "Ill...think about it. I need to talk to him about something anyways."
Scooting up the bed a bit she grabbed her own PJ bottoms and slipped into the bathroom to change into them real quick. The sound of someone brushing their teeth came a moment later as well.

By the time she came back out, he was firmly ensconced in his own bed; tucked down deep enough into it that only the top of his head poked out, and with his breading gone quiet and slow. Whether or not Ever was really asleep, he seemed that way, and was willing to dip deep into the act so that she wouldn't bring up more awkward moments or ask more questions. Not tonight, anyway.
