Kallichore blinked and looked around. Was this a test too?

"Is... that unusual?"

Part of her wanted desperately to be telepathic, so she could assure herself of whether or not this was a test. Was Ares watching? Was this part of the initiation that the two Inner Sanctum members failed to mention? This was weird. This was weird on all fronts.

Oh boy. Now this was definitely a test. Had she had cats before in her life (sure, she visited several at her Aunt Liz's house, but visiting and living with cats are two entirely different things) she may have understood what was going on. Or had an idea of what was going on. Gingerly, she reached out her hand to pet Zirconia. Slowly, inch by inch, her hand came closer to the cat's head. Would this be a violation of some unsaid law? Would Zirconia bite her hand off? Didn't that happen in some anime?
