Kallichore blinked and looked around. Was this a test too?

"Is... that unusual?"

Part of her wanted desperately to be telepathic, so she could assure herself of whether or not this was a test. Was Ares watching? Was this part of the initiation that the two Inner Sanctum members failed to mention? This was weird. This was weird on all fronts.

Staaaaare.

As silent as Zirconia was, the wheels in that little, fluffy head were definitely turning. Plan is done, cadet, whatcha gonna do? Patrol? Feed me? Pet me? Do something. Preferably something with pampering me.

Of course she didn't actually articulate any of these things because she figured Kallichore should just know, and just perpetuated the awkward silence.

Cats are weird.

Oh boy. Now this was definitely a test. Had she had cats before in her life (sure, she visited several at her Aunt Liz's house, but visiting and living with cats are two entirely different things) she may have understood what was going on. Or had an idea of what was going on. Gingerly, she reached out her hand to pet Zirconia. Slowly, inch by inch, her hand came closer to the cat's head. Would this be a violation of some unsaid law? Would Zirconia bite her hand off? Didn't that happen in some anime?

Zirconia's intense, yellow eyes watched the slowly approaching hand with the utmost seriousness until her palm was mere centimeters away, and suddenly, the top of her head pushed into it with a sweeping motion and a rumbling purr rang out from her throat, as those unblinking eyes seemed to have close and turned up in a near anime-esque expression.

That'll do, pig. that'll do.
