Chris offered her a smile as she got up, standing up as well and making sure she wasn't in danger of falling over again. "No need at all," he insisted, not wanting her to feel indebted to him in any way. "It was the least I could do. I should have been more careful when batting." He should have looked to make sure no one was around... At least he hadn't actually hit her, though.
"Maybe we'll cross paths again some time, huh?" he grinned, before pausing and frowning a little. "Er... hopefully I won't be hitting you with a ball again, though... That would be bad..." He didn't want to get the reputation for pegging people with stray baseballs...

With a light chuckle, Melinda shook her head as she smiles a little "I don't know, having a wild ball come flying at me might be worth it." reaching down, she grabs the handle of her bike before pulling it back upright. Carefully slipping back onto the bike, she glance around to make sure she wasn't missing anything. When she saw she wasn't, she slipped her hand into her pocket to pull out her cell.
Flipping it open, she turns her eyes back to Chris as she gives him a smile once again "Is it okay if I get your number? Maybe we can hang out, talk about baseball, or any sport really. Maybe I can bring my flute next time?"

He watched as she got up and picked up her bike, holding out his hands in case she needed any help, before blinking curiously at her question. His number?
"Uh, yeah, sure!" he said quickly, not wanting her to think that he didn't want to, quickly reaching into his pocket for his cell as well. "Yeah, here..." he held out his phone for her to take and then held out his hand for hers so they could put their information in each other's phones to save time. "That sounds fine with me. Maybe I could bring my guitar, too?" he smiled, for some reason amused that they both played musical instruments.
"I'm glad you're okay, though," he said with a small frown, looking her over again to make sure he hadn't missed anything. "But yeah, feel free to call or text whenever."

"Alright, sounds like fun. It would be great to play music with someone, I haven't actually done that for fun in a long time." handing her cell phone to him, she take his as she quickly types her name and number into it. Once she was done, she holds it back out to him, but not before noticing the time.
She needed to get back to her cousin.
With a small playful pout, she turns it into a smile as she looks back at him "Well as much as I enjoyed back a baseball hit at me, I should be going. Plans with my cousin, and I don't want her to think I am standing her up." swinging on leg carefully over the other side of the bike, she place her foot on the peddle while the other foot remained on the floor to balance herself.
