==== ☠ ==== ►Lauren watched the little girl out of the corner of her eye, noticing she insisted on only using body language. A mute...? she wondered. She smiled briefly as she saw the frustration on her face. An irritated mute. she concluded.
xxxAs soon as Jon mentioned that he wasn't human, her interest peaked. She cast a brief glance over her shoulder to make sure no one was near enough to hear their conversation, then turned back to the two. "What's this about the government dubbing you inhuman? Are you a murderer? Or a twisted psychopath? Both?" she asked curiously. But, in reality, she knew exactly what he meant. She had stumbled across another Genesis. What luck.☣  ± : . : ± : . : ±
『Connor Krow』
± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± Connor jogged down the street, wearing his regular civilian clothes. He was glad to be able to blend in with the crowd once in a while. Most of the time, he had to wear the drab government uniform, which always was hot and itchy. But now, in his jeans and t-shirt, he felt like a totally different person.
Connor scanned the sidewalk for his partner, Tomas. He had been assigned to go on a Genesis hunt with him, which was usually boring, since Tomas was always so unhappy when he had to hunt. Why not be a little more positive about it? By killing off the weak, rebellious Genesis, they were helping create a new world where the superior Genesis could live, right?
As soon as Connor spotted Tomas, he smiled. "Hey there!" he greeted his partner and trainer. The young Genesis began to jog in place, ready to go out and fight. "Are you pumped for today's hunt?" he asked.

"Yeah, sure kid." Tomas said, sighing heavily, "Look, here's how these things work with me. I usually just walk around town for about half an hour, then if I don't find anything interesting I just head over to that pub on the corner."
"Let's do this." Tomas leaped to his feet and stood next to Connor. It took him a few seconds to get over how much taller he was, then he justwent back to his memories.
Sh*t. I can't lie my way out of this. Jon grinned nervously. "Well, you see. I'm... One of them. I'm a genesis." he said, prepping for an escape in case this woman tries to attack.

==== ☠ ==== ►Lauren smiled as her suspicions were confirmed. So he was a Genesis. Did that mean the little girl was, too?
Lauren took another look behind her to make sure no one was watching. However, they were all still obsessed with the bread theft. She sighed, closing her eyes and pulling out a pack of cigarettes from her pocket. "Is that so? Let me tell you, Genesis aren't very popular around these parts." she pointed out. Then, she snapped her fingers, producing a small flame that floated above her thumb. She lit the cigarette, smirking. "I would know."☣ ± : . : ± : . : ±

± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± Connor's nose wrinkled at the mention of the pub, but he shrugged. "A'ight. Whatever you say. So, where should we start?" he asked, his eyes scanning the streets. Nothing seemed out of place, like maybe a destroyed building or vendor stand, so either the rogue Genesis were behaving themselves or there just weren't any around. Connor hoped it wasn't the latter.

Jon sighed in relief when the girl revealed her powers. "So you're a pyrokinetic. Thats neat." he said. Jon placed his hand on the ground and sent a small jolt of electricity flying up Lauren's back.
"I say we check the back alleys and 'bad neighborhoods'," Tomas said, "Even if we don't find genesis, we may get to rough up some criminals."

 ₡orinne ₡aylor Cori couldn't help but give a relieved smile as she saw the power The girl showed off. Fire. SHe couldn't help but be a little envious. They where all the same then. She stopped. She really hadn't told them she was Genesis either. Was it really needed? they where on her side, so with little effort the girl walked inbetween the two and spelled out the words Genesis with her hands. Hoping they understood signlanuage...if they didn't..A mere demenstration was in order. A Blink of an eye, and she was on all fours, meowing. A Small cat. You could tell it was her though, her eyes remained the same as her human self. She transformed back and did a small smile at them, as if she had said, 'Yay for being all of us being Genesis!'

She stood up just in time to see a girl, younger than she was, running out of the bakery holding a loaf of bread. The sight of the bread made Aria's mouth water. Suddenly, the girl was snached by some guy, he looked the age of a teenager, and taken into an alley. What's he gonna do to her? Aria didn't know what to do, so she just stayed where she was. Another girl, who was alot older, walked into the alley. Good.. She kept walking, but her curiosity got the best of her. xoxoxoWhen she walked into the alley, the older girl had a lit cigarette in her hand, and the boy was looking at her. The girl who had stole the bread was inbetween them, signing the word 'Genesis'. Then the girl transformed into a cat. So she's like me.. Aria's figure flickered, then disappeared. She didn't want to be seen at the moment. The girl transformed back, and looked at the others. She's a mute..

==== ☠ ==== ►Lauren nodded at the boy's small compliment, opening her mouth to give a reply. However, she was cut short as a jolt of electricity flew through her body. She jumped, resisting the urge to yelp in surprise, then smiled. "Oh, so you have some type of energy power? Nice." she said.
xxxThen, very suddenly, the mute girl stepped between them and began spelling out words with her hands. Lauren squinted trying to make out the letters. "G...e...n...e....s...i...s? Oh, you're a-" Again, Lauren was cut off as a cat suddenly stood where the girl once was. She blinked in surprise, laughing as the girl changed back. "So we're all monsters here, aren't we?" she asked, using the name many referred to Genesis as.☣ ± : . : ± : . : ±

± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± Connor nodded at Tomas's suggestion. "Sounds good to me. It'd be cool if we could catch a criminal in the act and look all heroic, you know? Like a superhero!" he said with a childish grin. "You could be, like, Batman, since you don't have any powers but you have a lot of guns." he declared.

"Or like a policeman. Because we already work for the government, and well... they're real." Tomas said. "Look, just don't get yourself shot, alright kid?"
"Apparently so." Jon agreed, "My name's Jon, I have control over basic energies. Kinetic, gravitational, thermal, electric, etcetera. I've been working on honing my genesis abilities so I can use them in a lot of different ways. I've even developed a way of feeding via electronics using a technique I call 'psychic vampirism.'" Jon bragged.

Control over basic energies. A lot more useful than invisibility. The only thing it was useful for was hiding and stealing. Although those were two things that Aria did quite a lot. And two things she had to do for survival. Speaking of stealing.. She looked over at the bread the girl had laid on a box. Aria reached for it, and the moment her hand touched it, it did the same as she had. It flickered, and disappeared. But she could still feel the warm, buttery crust in her hand. Maybe invisibility is useful.. She bit into the bread, the warmness spreading through her mouth.

Jon saw the bread in the corner of his eye just as it disappeared. Looks like there's a fourth genesis here. Jon thought. He stood up and walked past the box where the bread used to be and bumped into an invisible obstacle. He purposefully fell to the ground, pretending to stop himself by putting his hands forward but in reality, Jon was pinning the invisible being down by it's shoulders.

Then, before she could do anything, the boy pinned her down by her shoulders. The bit of bread that was left slipped from her hands and landed a few feet away, visible. The breath was knocked out of her tiny frame. Her figure flickered for a moment, then she was once again visible. She tried to push the boy off of her, and failed. She was only able to get his hands off of her shoulders. Then, she quickly scooted backwards until she was sitting against the wall. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapped her arms around them, and looked at the others.

"Relax," Jon said, "You're among friends, here. I just couldn't have you sneaking around here all invisible-like. It's so much easier to trust someone when you can see them." Jon grinned.

Yeah right.. Aria didn't trust people easily. She looked around at the others. Before, the girl had been able to understand sign language, and the other was a mute, she had to know sign language. Aria stood up from the ground. She spelled out 'N-a-m-e-?' She wanted to know the names of them, or at least the boy's name. Before they could answer, Aria turned and picked up the bread. There wasn't much left, and it now had dirt on it, but she still finished it off hungrily, trying not to look like a complete pig. I'm too skinny to be a pig, though.. Then she looked back at the others, awaiting an answer.

Jon didn't understand the signs the girl was making, but he felt like making some sort of introduction. "My name's Jon. It's nice to meet you, but I don't understand sign language." Jon chuckled nervously, "Is there anything you can write with?"
