Siianna nodded understanding the need to keep such things to themselves. " Yea. I like a nice heavy beat that I can use to help my practices. How you enjoying your first year here at Hogwarts? I have to admit I'm fascinated by all the magic."

" Oh that's right most of the students here are used to magic." She'd heard that some hated those like her who were muggle born. Granted she knew that she wasn't the first in her line but she thought that still counted. " I just recently learned of the wizardry world. My family is mostly muggle and any wizard is never spoken of again. I'm the first exception that I know about. "

Arona raised an eyebrow "Ahh I see... wait your family disowns wizards?" she asked she had never heard of muggles doing that but at the same time muggles don't tend to know much about the wizard world or think that it is just make believe. "That's strange..." she added odded by it somehow.

Siianna nodded a bit thankful that this girl wasn't one of the ones who didn't like muggle borns." Yes they did. It seems only the women born in my father's family have the trait and are shunned and removed. So it's thankful that a girl only happens every so oftern and only in the event of twins." Granted she'd learned most of this from her great great grandaunt's journal, which she kept in her chest in her room. That journal had probably save Siianna from looking like a fool on more then one occasion.

Arona was stunned "That's a shame. Though I hear pure bloods have done the same." she said shaking her head. "Well at least you made it thou the woodwork." she shrugged sitting back in her chair looking over at the fire place.

Sii gave her a half smile with a touch of sadness in her eyes. " Guess you could look at it that way." She too glanced into the fire her thoughts traveling back to her father's house and then to the one she shared with her grandmother. " I wouldn't have if it hadn't been for my grandmother and my great grandaunt's journal. And of course the luck of picking to be friends with a muggle duke's son." She sighed knowing her father only supported her and her grandmother now because she'd met Marc here.

Arona looked at her then thought "A muggle born duke's son... Ah well." she said "Doesn't make a difference to us wizards and witches." she said with a shrug "Well I guess good luck." she said and got up "It makes sense why you are a Gryiffindor though." she said stretching a bit.

" I thought it fitting." She gave Arona a gentle smile. and stood herself giving a slight bow to Arona. " Thank you for talking with me this afternoon. It was a pleasant way to spend it." She figured she'd go to the great hall a bit early and hope the rain went away soon.
