Tony chuckled, nodding his head.

"It... I mean, no offense. But it kind of does seem a little ridiculous. Is that how all senshi... awaken? With a cat giving them a pen?" He shook his head, pondering more in general than actually asking her. He was trying to imagine it, really.

He looked at her, tilting his head to the side. Which made sense, since he was laying beside her on the roof so he had to do that just to be able to see her properly.

"Feathers?" He sat up, blinking. That was an odd sphere, as she had said, for a senshi. It certainly didn't strike fear into the hearts of others, but then, maybe it wasn't supposed to. He smiled, looking hopeful. "I'm sure there's more of a use for it than you think. What kind of an attack do you have? I know each senshi can use magic, and some are defensive or they have attack oriented magics. I'm sure you're not completely abandoned to tickling?"

Hopefully. He would have to swallow his whole foot for how far he was sticking it in his mouth if she was, in fact, only given an attack to tickle.

"I think so." she said, attempting to shrug while laying down. "I've only ever met one other senshi, but I didn't ask how they were awoken. I assume there are a bunch of cats running around giving people super powers."

She would never be able to look at a cat the same way again.

She giggled a little, and said "No, I don't have to tickle people. I would probably just never fight anyone if that were the case. I actually summon a big feather..cloud..thing. Doesn't hurt anyone, just makes it hard to see."

It wasn't the best power in the world, and she knew it. It bugged her, even when she was in civilian form. How was she supposed to defeat someone with feathers? ********* had already said she couldn't trade.

Grus sat up as well, and looked at Camelot. "Do you want to see it?" She asked.

Camelot tried to imagine it. Cats, of all things, running around awakening Senshi. While he had always imagined it to be something strange, once he was awakened he thought it might have been something similar to that. But they had no items like his shield, he reminded himself one more time. Still, the image of a bunch of cats running around, picking kids and making them super heroes... it was something that never would have occurred to him.

Maybe because he had newly become a dog person, what with his corgi. He doubted she would be very good at awakening anyone, either too distracted by the pursuit of being pet or running away from scary things. Maybe that's why it was cats. They were more independent, fearless, and aloof.

Or maybe they weren't cats at all. He had heard Senshi were aliens, after all. Maybe their cats were, too. Alien cats, however, was too much for him at the moment and he shook his head in an effort to clear it.

"Oh, but that could be useful," he said, looking at her when she said she could summon a feather. "Distraction. Good for escaping or getting someone out of danger if they need the help. Certainly good for stopping a fight in its tracks. Hard to keep punching one another if you can't see your opponent."

He smiled at her, nodding his head.

"I would, actually. If it's not too much to ask. I know some senshi, at least from the ones I've run into so far, have limited times they can use their powers, or it makes them tired."

Grus nodded, saying "I think I can only use it twice, but if these people ever show up I don't think I'll haveta use it that many times. usually once, and then knock 'em out with something like a garbage can lid." She giggled nervously.

Then she stood, shaking out her skirt and smoothing it over. Taking a few steps away from Camelot, she turned and faced him. Like an old Western stand-off she said, setting her feet shoulder width apart. In her head, Grus-could almost hear the whistling of the wind and the stereotypical stand-off music playing, complete with twangy harmonica.

Camelot nodded his head. Garbage can lids were very useful, and he knew that from personal experience for sure. He smiled at her and nodded his head.

Sometimes being a senshi, or a knight as he knew well, was difficult when they weren't given an actual weapon or a magic skill that could be an attack. But they always found a way, or they found those that could help them.

Not that they wanted to hurt these criminals in the same way that they had to deal with youma.

He didn't catch on right away when she got up and posed, arching an eyebrow. Being an older man, his instincts to play were a bit squashed under his need to work and his new job of saving lives. Still, when he caught on that she was going to show him her attack, he got to his feet and stood opposite her, watching keenly.

"I don't think this roof is big enough for the both of us," he added, at least noting that she was hearkening to the westerns of old.

It looked like he was going to play along!

For a second, Grus panicked, wondering if he was thinking she was some dumb kid stuck in la-la land. She felt like in order to take something seriously, there had to be fun every once in a while. And since it didn't look as though the bank burglars weren't going to make an appearance, she figured this was one of those times.

She narrowed her eyes, wiggling her fingers dramatically.

Then she paused.

A few seconds later, in which she imagined was lightning quick speed, she thrust her hands out before her, saying "Feather-Fall Cloud!"

The feathers seemed to materialize from the swirling air around her, forming a ball of twisting feather figures. She thrust her hands out a second time, sending the cloud of white feathers at Camelot, where it exploded upon impact. The feathers flew apart, falling and twisting every which way.

Camelot watched as the feathers started to swirl around him. He was surprised, but interested. He knew the attack wasn't meant to hurt so much as distract, but he still wasn't used to being the target for a senshi attack.

Even really cute ones.

The feather cloud hit him, though, and he was surprised but unharmed. He batted at the feathers, holding his shield up on instinct, but started laughing.

"Well, I can see what you mean with this attack," he said, though for a moment he couldn't find her. It could be used as a good diversion, at the very least.

Once the cloud cleared he grinned at her, nodding his head.

"Well, I don't think that's too bad. Fluffy, yes, but if your opponent can't see you have a chance to flee or to rescue someone that might need your help."

He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He had been here for a while without realizing it, and since there were no criminals yet and the night was draining away, he imagined he would have to get back before his unpredictable son managed to notice he wasn't home.

Grus shrugged, not connecting that he really couldn't see her right now. She heard him laugh and she smiled, watching as an arm or piece of outfit was seen inbetween feathers.

And then the magic ran out.

The feathers fell away after a few seconds, one by one floating to the ground into a harmless carpet of white circling Camelot. A few fluttered weakly as a breeze passed over the rooftop.

"It has some uses." She agreed, "But for now it's kindof annoying just because I don't really enjoy fighting. But I would like to help." She added.

She looked up at the sky and the visible moon, then pulled out her senshi pone, clicking a button on the side to make the screen light up. It illuminated her face for a moment, then she put it back in her pocket. It was late!

"I suppose I should be going." She said, taking one more look at the ATM over the side of the roof. "It is getting pretty late and I have some things to do tomorrow." The sound of a curfew made her cringe. What super hero had a curfew?

"Well, then I think you have the right power for it. Don't worry, you'll know what to do with your skills when the time comes. You've got a gift, though you might just see feathers. There are many people out there who need your help, and you exactly equipped to keep them safe. I have a very good feeling that you will do just fine."

He smiled warmly at her, offering her some support and confidence if she wanted it. She certainly had the right ideas, and he had to respect her for wanting to defend against not only the powered up villains and the monsters of the town, but crime in general.

When she looked at the time he nodded his head.

"I should probably go make sure my son hasn't let the dog out, or something equally ridiculous."

He could not trust Nate to take care of Dogby. Sighing, thinking he might have said a bit too much about his personal information, he offered her another smile and a handshake.

"It was a pleasure to meet you. I hope your efforts to catch these bank robbers work out. I might drop in again some time to check how things are going. I'll certainly keep an eye on the news." He grinned, then moved to leave, imagining he would jump to the next roof and head for home.

Grus smiled, feeling a little better about her power. It was nice to think about her power being useful for once.

"You have a son?" She asked tilting her head. So he had a family. And he was still out here fighting? She wondered what he said to get away from them. "It must be hard to take care of him and be out here saving the people."

Grus shook his hand, and said "It was really nice to meet you. Thanks for keeping me company. I'm sorry this whole thing didn't work out. Maybe next time they will show up."

She watched him make a move to leave, and turned the other way, casting one last look down before jumping the rooftop to another with stairs down to the street.
