Isolde smiled when she saw River.
"Hey, River, how have you been? It's been ages since I saw you last." When had it been, the Halloween ball? That was right. She had been so busy with her extracurricular project aka get Kei and Ask together that she hadn't had much time for her other friends.

'I'm glad you came, I always need a guy that's willing to let me drag him out on the dance floor. Let's head in, shall we? I feel a bit silly standing here when the hostess is surely inside waiting to meet everyone."

As they headed in, Isolde gave Kei a discreet thumbs up. She saw Ask, and she knew Kei's handiwork when she saw it. There was no way Ask dressed himself that spiffingly.

Isolde looked around the room for the hostess. She had to introduce herself properly after all.

Outside, a boy in a suit and tie pulled up in an antique Pontiac Roadrunner, cut the engine, and looked with some dread at the door. He was hoping Metz wouldn't have seen the invitation . . . but seen it she had. And she insisted he go out and socialize a bit.

It wasn't that he didn't know anyone there - he had enough cousins to keep himself occupied in conversation for the entire night. It was more that . . . well, he didn't dance, and he wasn't exactly a Cyrano de Bergerac, and the one person he'd like to really talk to probably wouldn't be there. She didn't go out with lots of people very often.

He'd just have to hope. Maybe he could help make sure his cousins didn't do anything particularly stupid.

As Willow stood there with Cial and the young girl welcomed the older one to her home, Willow noticed Theo entering the scene out of the corner of her eye. She worked all her willpower on not taking her focus away from Cial who was talking to her to pay attention to Theo. That would be rude after all. Her stomach was doing a nice series of flips though and the corners of her mouth threatened to curl up into s girlish smile of joy that Theo had come to the party. Unconsciously she reached up and tucked a stray purple hair behind her ear as she opened her mouth to reply to Cial.

"Thank you, you have a very lovely....home...." Willow's words trailed off to a halt as Cial, staring at Theo fixedly all the while, up and left their conversation without a single word. Two things stuck Willow right away about this. The girl was being very rude, and on top of it, she was going over to Theo, the object of Willow's affection and was talking to him. Not only was she talking to him, but looking at him. Willow wasn't dumb, she knew what looks like that meant. She stood there and her blood began to simmer and a light that was a little dark and wild entered her purple eyes. Just as quickly as the light came it was gone again as Willow worked to reign in her emotions. She reminded herself firmly that this was a little girl, who obviously hadn't learned how to be a hostess. Besides, what would Theo want with a little girl anyway?

With that thought Willow turned herself towards Theo and Cial and made her way over too. She couldn't help breaking out into a bright smile as she looked at him. "Hey Theo. Glad to see you made it." She stood in such a way that the three of them could make a circle and talk if they so desired. Maybe she was standing a little closer to Theo though. Just a little.

As Isolde talked to River about dancing Kei realized he'd seen River at the Halloween ball. It had just been so long that his mind was a bit fuzzy on it. He blamed Ask for currently occupying all his thoughts. He turned towards River with a smile as Isolde headed in.

"Good to see you again River." Then he was inside scoping around for Ask again. He figured they could say hi to the hostess after they'd found each other and grinned at each other like lovestruck fools. Very hot looking lovestruck fools. Finally his eyes fell on Ask standing there looking a bit uncomfortable as he tended to do at social gatherings. Kei couldn't help but stare a little even though he'd been with Ask when he'd tried everything on. Ask looked practically edible in those pants and the shirt just unbuttoned enough to show a little skin but not too much made Kei feel wobbly at the knees.

Kei strutted over to Ask with a definite seductive sway to his hips and a look of intent in his eyes. "Hey there good looking." A beautifully bright smile adorned Kei's face as he looked at Ask, standing in front of him. "You're looking especially amazing in those clothes." Kei couldn't help but think a little about how Ask looked under those clothes. Those pants really were just tight enough to send his imagination wandering.

"I was surprised to get the invite as well." Aiden smiled and nodded her head a little. Seeing Edmund climb out of the limo had confused her, but she figured that perhaps the limo belonged to one of his many cousins he talked about on occasion. "Thank you, you look very nice as well." A bit of a pink tone came to her cheeks, though she tried to make it go away the instant it popped up. "D-do you know the hostess? I've never met her." She opted to start walking again, albeit slowly so that she and Edmund could continue talking.

Oh good, she had remembered him, and Keiran too. "I've been good, how about you?" A grin spread over his face in a matter of seconds. He waved back at Keiran as the teen passed by, noting that he seemed to be on a mission. "I think I'm better at dancing now, so if it comes to that I'll be ready." River let out a small laugh and followed Isolde into the house. Truth be told, he'd decided to practice some simple dance moves after the Halloween Ball embarrassment (or rather, he felt embarrassed because he hadn't really danced up until that point).
PostPosted: Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:44 am

Being observant of important things wasn't what Theo did best, which is why the lanky teenager was staring pointedly at what seemed to be Willow's legs when Cial suddenly changed focus and approached him. To make matters worse, he was staring at someone else across the room when she thrust out her hand to shake, so he literally took a step back in surprise when she spoke to him considering he hadn't even noticed she was there. Whoaaa. He was dumbstruck for a moment as he stared down at the lavender flushed girl, who was much younger than him, and with a very familiar name. Who was Cial again?

Oh. The hostess. Of course.

He probably frowned when that fact dawned on him, since he had been picturing a total teenage babe and what was actually in front of him was a little kid. Plans to hit on the new girl in school were out the window. He tried to be polite anyway since it WAS her house and he didn't want to get kicked out prematurely, so he reached down and took her hand awkwardly with a hesitant (and pointy) smile. "Oh. Hey, so you're the hostess chick, thanks for the invitation." The bee offered slowly, then paused for a minute to figure out what he had forgotten. "...And my name is Theo, so uh. Thanks again. It's a pretty cool place you have here." It was around this time that Willow turned around and came over, which automatically drew Theo's attention away again as he stared at her. There was a split second where a look crossed his face that made it clear like he was wishing he was holding her hand instead.

Realizing he was still holding onto Cial, he quickly released her hand and turned the funny half-smile onto the teenager who approached. "What's up, Willow? Glad to see you made it... too..." And then he noticed how Cial was looking at him. It was a kind of intense stare, not what he expected from someone her age, but he forced himself not to comment. The corner of his smile seemed to twitch though.

Ask was in the process of sneaking behind the couch to attempt to blend into the wall when he heard a much beloved voice reach his ears. Naturally Kei couldn't say hello let alone breathe without causing Ask to blush ridiculously all over himself. Especially since he was currently wearing too tight pants, and a "revealing" shirt. Never mind that he could wander about in a bathing suit with no shame, but put him in nice form fitting clothes in front of people and all his teenage awkwardness came zooming to the surface. It certainly didn't help that Kei called him good looking with his first breath.

Turning slowly, almost reluctant to see what Kei was wearing this time (some of his glorious outfits made him unfairly gorgious), Ask tried to stop his eyes from roving but failed. As usual Kei looked stunning. And were those pants painted on? Seriously? Ask briefly considered pulling Kei behind the couch too, to hide him away. His wings quivered a little and a blush bloomed beautifully over his face. "Hey Kei, you look... beautiful." And he did. "And I would hope you like what I'm wearing, you picked it out."

His eyes had made it back up to Kei's face, after his swift once over, to meet his and a foolish love sick grin lit up his face. He'd be ok if they stayed over here, half behind the couch, forever if they could continue to peer into each other's eyes.

The girls eyes went from Theo to Willow and back. A small sigh and a nod, almost as if amused. ‘Right, kid. Duh. ‘ Not that it changed much, a childish crush had set in quite quickly, as such things tend to. She couldn’t help but grin up at him before mentally slapping herself and pasting a smirk on her face.
“Well, regardless, thanks for coming both of you!” She muttered somewhat politely before bowing out and letting the pair be.
Cial scanned the room, realizing how many people had come, it almost made her nervous. Who was she supposed to talk to; most of them seemed to know each other. It almost seemed safer to just go back and annoy the cu
te bee.

Edmund walked with Aiden, matching her pace as they headed towards the house. He gave her a smile and she said he looked nice.

"Thanks. About the hostess...I have no idea who the hostess is. Neither did any of my siblings. Maybe she's new to the school and is hoping to make some friends." He remembered when he was new to the school and he'd been afraid he wouldn't make any friends. He still felt very lucky to have made friends with Aiden. He was going to be sure to say hi to the hostess and make sure she didn't feel all alone.

As they arrived to the door Edmund stood aside so Aiden could go first. "After you." He gestured for her to go in first.

Gavin had been listening to the adults talking and decided their conversation wasn't very exciting. His attention began to stray around to who else was at the party. Edmund had walked in with Aiden just after Nadia. Kei was over talking to Ask, who was looking very fine, but was very belonging to Kei. Willow was talking to Theo and a pink haired girl. "Good for you Willow." Gavin thought to himself. He was well aware of her crush and was glad to see they were talking as long as Theo didn't do anything dumb of course.

Then his eyes fell on Isolde. He'd been surprised when he'd first seen her after she'd grown into a teen. Sure she'd always been pretty as a child but, she'd turned into a very....very fine looking teen. Finishing the last of his punch Gavin all but swaggered over to her all full of intent.

"So Isolde, I don't know if I mentioned earlier in the limo but, you are looking very pretty in particular today." He gave her a charming grin with his complement.

The grin already plastered on Kei's face seemed to grow as Ask's wings quivered accompanied by a blush and a wonderfully foolish love sick grin. Being called beautiful was rather pleasing as well. Ask's eyes roving over him didn't bother him in the slightest. If anything it made him feel more pleased, if that was possible.

"I'm glad you think so. And yes, I do, and I liked picking it out almost as much as I like looking at you in it. Looking at you in it definitely wins out though." He gave Ask a love sick grin in return.

"So are we going to stand half behind the couch all evening or are we going to have some snacks and sigh hi to the hostess and to some mingling?" He suspected Ask was hiding behind there feeling self conscious about his clothes. Kei couldn't help but think Ask was being totally ridiculous about that, he looked amazing after all.

Part of Willow felt relieved as Cial excused herself but another part of her felt kind of bad since it seemed like the girl might have felt chased away. "Thank you for inviting me Cial." She called after the girl with a wave before returning her full attention to Theo. Since there were no longer three people in the conversation Willow turned her body to fully face Theo and gave him a smile.

"Nothing much on my end but...I'm glad you're glad to see me." As soon as the words had left her mouth she blushed a little. She hadn't meant to say anything like that out loud and was fighting a little mini inner panic that she sounded too obviously into him. "But um... what's new on your end?" She almost blurted it out too quickly but did her best to ask him like a normal person as she tried to divert the attention from her as fast as possible.

Nadia looked around the party. It looked to be all teens except River, a boy she'd only ever seen from afar and a girl with pink hair who she didn't know. She figured that it must be Cial since she recognized almost everyone else even if she'd only seen some from a distance. It seemed like her best option would be to go talk to Cial since she wanted to thank her anyway.

"Hello there, my name is Nadia, what's yours?" She stuck her hand out as she spoke to the girl that was likely Cial. This was accompanied by a small but friendly smile.

"It's very nice of you to say so, Gavin. You look very dapper yourself."
Out of all of Kei's many siblings, Isolde and Gavin had the coolest relationship, hearkening back to when Isolde accidentally insulted Gavin's pride, and Isolde was gratified to have Gavin actually speaking to her of his own free will.
And Gavin did indeed look dapper - he was quite handsome, to tell the truth, it was just that his personality and attitude occasionally left something to be desired and occasionally had Isolde wondering what anyone saw in him. He was being nice enough now, and Willow seemed to be occupied with the Yellow Kid, and Kei and Ask were already absorbed in each other, so she might as well make the best of Gavin's company.
"We should get some good dance music going," she told him. "Liven this place up a little."

And just like that, both of his conversation partners were gone. He stood there awkwardly, trying not to eavesdrop on Isolde and Gavin's conversation. River looked around the room and spotted the refreshments table. He figured he'd go help himself to something while he tried to think of a way to be more interesting. That surely must be the reason why he never got to talk to any of his... well.. were they friends anymore since he never saw them? He wasn't really sure, he hoped they were, but it was up to them he supposed.

Once at the refreshments table he helped himself to a drink and then shuffled over to the side so that anyone else could partake. Maybe this was a bad idea after all....

"Oh, thank you." Aiden stepped inside and then moved over so that Edmund could come in behind her. "I see, I suppose this would be a good way to make friends. I'm surprised she knew all of our names." She shrugged a little, "but then again I guess she could have asked someone from the school staff to just send out the invites..." As she spoke Aiden looked around the room, taking in faces. Most of them she had at least seen from a distance, except Cial. She figured that must be the hostess.

"It seems that little girl is probably her... but she's occupied now..." Aiden nodded in Cial's general direction and then turned her attention back to Edmund. "Does your family own that car?" It seemed like a rather expensive one. She'd read about cars before, but it was so long ago she couldn't really remember how awkward it would be for a regular family to own a limo.

Hank stood blocking the doorway for a moment before he realized that he was looming, blocking the air, and most likely drawing eyes on him. So instead, he moved as quickly as he could to the refreshements table, and grabbed a drink. He nodded to the fluffy haired boy standing by the table.

"Good evening," he said, and glanced around. No, Adeline wasn't here, but he wasn't really expecting her to be. He knew this wasn't a good idea.

He might not have been swift enough to understand WHY Cial had been staring at him the way she was (or maybe he knew and refused to acknowledge it), but Theo felt an acute sense of relief when the girl retreated from the conversation. Sure, he had her to thank for the invitation, but alone time with the pink fairy girl in front of him was even more important to him. No, he didn't feel guilty about that either. Someone else would go talk to the kid after all, right?

Theo's posture seemed to change to something more at ease, and he allowed himself to kind of tilt in Willow's direction. She was already blushing again, and he was currently experiencing a familiar rush of triumph before even having to say anything else. "Oh? Well that's pretty cool then, I'm glad we're in agreement." He said slyly, still smiling as always. He was really doing well for himself; this girl was not only seriously attractive, but obviously into him. And also the same age, which was a plus. "Nothing very new for me either though, I just got moved into the dorm recently." A very matter-of-fact comment, and he continued to stare at her pointedly. "...I've noticed you aged up too, have you gotten a room yet?" All teenagers moved in right away, didn't they? If she had, that only meant they would be seeing each other more often.

...Annnnd of course Kei should suggest being social. Typical. As soon as he gets comfortable in his hiding place with the only other person he needed, that person determined they should mingle. "Er, do we have to?" Maybe they could go talk to Gavin, or Edmund or River (he was comfortable with his room mate of course), or maybe Kei's sisters or Theo (Usually they could talk about nasty snakes). Ask hooked his fingers through Kei's and held on to his hand hoping he wouldn't be dragged off to be social.

User ImageCambria slammed the door of Alice's car. Time to crash this party. Supposedly there were going to be lots of other metas here and even ones her age. Alice wanted to dump her on the school soon, and here was an opportunity too good to miss to dump her intractable "daughter" on others for an evening.

She ran up the stairs on the porch and invited herself in. She perused the company and the surroundings. Ugh, lovebirds everywhere! Ugh, well thanking the hostess came first, according to Alice. But who cared what Alice thought anyway? There was one girl (duude, pink hair) that with another girl though she kept glancing at some over at one of the lovebirds and she looked to be the same age as Cambria so she tromped over to say hello and determine where on the prey scale these chicks would land. "Hey. Nice party huh? I'm Cambria. Any idea who this Cial girl is?"

Cial nodded and managed a polite smile for both Cambria and Nadia. The petite demon girl rocked back on her heals and let her tail and wings balance her in the rather unsteady posture. With her arms crossed over her chest she contemplated the two girls speaking to her before responding to them.

"I am Cial, Welcome to my home, and party. Sorry I am not really used to... being a hostess." She flushed a little and shrugged with her apology.

"I hope everyone is having fun..."
The girl with white hair made her uneasy, as if she were staring at Cial with dinner in mind or something. The lavender eyed girl made sure not to make eye contact with her. Also avoiding Nadia's eyes as a measure to not make it obvious that it was Cambria who freaked her out.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 25, 2011 11:23 pm

After giving an agreeing nod about who the hostess might be, Edmund gave a slightly surprised blink as Aiden asked if the limo belonged to his family.

"Ah well, no. It belongs to Isolde's family." Edmund gestured to the blue haired girl talking to his brother Gavin. "That's Isolde. She's good friends with Kei and Nadia. She's a nice girl." He always enjoyed when Isolde came over to visit. He'd finally gotten comfortable with her enough to have a conversation without being too shy. It also pleased him how readily she embraced and supported Kei's differences and was such a good friend to him and to his youngest sister.

"But that kind of car belongs to families with a lot of money. I know you can rent them for special events though. A lot of times if she's going to the same place as all of us she'll have us picked up." He looked around and spotted the refreshment table. "Did you want some punch?"

Isolde had called him dapper. That was much more like it, he liked when lovely ladies noticed how good looking he was, and something about her using the word dapper to describe it made it all the better. He gave her another charming grin.

"Why thank you. As to the music, I'm definitely in agreement. Guess we should find the hostess or her father and ask about it." Gavin offered Isolde his arm to escort her in the asking. Hopefully he could wrangle her in for a dance or two too as the music got started.

"Now lets see. The hostess must be the girl with the pink hair since she's the only one I don't know. I believe the man by the snack table is her father. Who do you think we should ask? They both seem to be wrapped up in conversation..."

A chuckle escaped Kei's lips as Ask asked if they needed to be social. He gave Ask's hand a bit of a squeeze and then a soft smile. Part of Kei wanted nothing more then to just stay behind the couch with him but, they could do that when they weren't at a party.

"Yes, we came to a party to be social. Let's go say hi to your roommate." Kei had noted that River was standing on his own, and that would never do of course. "After the party you should come to my room and we can watch a movie or something." He started to lead the way over to River.

Willow was relieved that Theo didn't seem to focus in on what she said too terribly much. Just saying he was glad they agreed on that point was a good thing. She managed to stabilize herself a bit as she listened to his answer about moving into the dorms. She felt a little thrill of excitement when she realized that meant that they'd be living not too far from each other at all. Sure Theo came over to the house sometimes, but it was always to hang out with Gavin and usually Sergei was there too. Sometimes she tagged along for a bit but she didn't want to be that younger sister that always hung around and was annoying when their brother wanted guy time with his friends.

She felt her face growing a bit hot again as Theo mentioned that he noticed she'd aged up. That must have meant that he'd been looking at her. That thought was both exciting and a bit embarrassing at the same time. She mentally willed herself to calm down though. If he'd noticed her like that there was obviously no need to feel self conscious. Instead of blushing more she gave him a pleased smile and maybe did a little bit of subtle ogling herself.

"That's good to hear, living in the dorms is fun. I've actually been moved in for a little while. Not too long after Gavin actually. Isolde is my roommate. Who did you get moved in with? Someone cool I hope."

Nadia continued to have a friendly demeanor with Cial, though she regarded Cambria more carefully. Something told her to keep her eye out for that one.

"Thanks Cial, and it's no big deal. You're doing fine so far. Everyone seems to be content in their own little world for the most part anyway." Nadia picked up on Cial's uneasy feelings and assumed it must have been because of the way Cambria was eyeing Cial up. She wondered if Cial realized that shying away probably translated as weakness to this Cambria girl and that it was really not the way to deal with it.

Nadia instead turned and looked Cambria straight and unflinchingly in her blue and green eyes with her own purple ones. "Cambria you said it was? My name is Nadia. It is nice to meet you as well."

"River... Ok, sure. It does suck to be alone at parties." Ask hooked his hand into Kei's comfortably. "And a movie sounds good later. Is Yoo going to be there?" This was important information. They'd have to tone down the heart bubbles if he was there.

Cambria smirked a bit when Cial avoided her eyes. What a shy little flower. But this Nadia chick... she didn't strike her as prey immediately. "I've never hosted anything. So you could be doing horribly and I wouldn't notice. And yes, Nadia, I'm Cambria." She sent her a sharp acknowledging smile. She wasn't easy prey, it was now just to be determined whether she was a predator like her.

She would hold her opinions on Cial, sometimes it was the quiet ones that were secretly plotting demises. Cambria decided to watch her carefully. "So do either of you live at the school thing yet? I've met a kid who's already there. He's a really weird kid, but he offered to buy me glitter... Anyway, I'm looking forward to going there and getting away from my guardian's evil cat. What about you two?"
