Felix Silverlight CP:9 HP:15 "...The hell?!" Felix wagged his arm as the dog was latched on, as if sucking from him... and he could feel a stirring of his chakra, but not one that he liked. This time, instead of bringing about a change through concentration, he felt like it was being accessed without his will... it kind of hurt. Felix realized that he could do more damage to the dog by punching it if he dropped his Kunai, and so he did so... but just as he was going to kick it away from his shins he heard the other dogs growling in the distance. A sudden flash of panic crossed his features and he looked about quickly for an escape... "...Alright sparky... If I'm going.. I'm taking you with me.." Felix growled at the dog menacingly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5+1=6 miss

FELIX- HP: ? DB: 13 The mutt was able to move in quick enough to bite the boy again and evade a swift boot to the face. Just as before, once it held the boy in its' jaws it began thrusting a rather scratchy tongue against the wound. Though since it was not deterred from holding onto the child by cold steel like the first attempt, it locked its jaw and braced its' paws into the dirt. Even to an unexperienced shinobi it was clear that the animal was digging in with no intention of releasing the foot it was given. As the dog continued to fight it sounded as if it was choking, though still making no effort to let go.
The sounds in the distance continued, however their location, distance, and intent could not be divined without focus.

Felix Silverlight CP:8 HP:15 "..Gah!" Felix watched as the dog bit into his foot and latched on... the dog was definitely at a serious advantage in close quarters, just like Travis had been when Felix fought him in taijutsu training. This was not good for Felix because he did not know any true Ninjutsu attacks that he could use to shake the dog off of his foot. And he could feel its strength, there was no point in trying to even shake it off of himself, he knew... this thing was 'much' stronger than himself. The chances he could get it to leg go were small to nil. And so he figured the best course of action in his situation would be to keep hitting it... hopefully it would let go once it died. Because Felix had the fear that he read somewhere that desperate animals will latch on and not let go till death. So he attempted to slam it in the head now with his fist. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 10+1=11 miss

FELIX- HP: ? DB: 13 The dog was rather pleased with what it could feel in the actions of the boy it was holding. The human was obviously very afraid as it thrashed about with a wild swing towards the dog, that it easily avoided by twisting around to the inside of the boy. The ramming of the beasts' body against Felix's legs caused both to teeter off balance towards the humans' rear. The animal opted to ignore the loss of its' footing in order to maintain its' hold in the foot. Though the chest of the canine heaved slightly and the tongue that had been assaulting the wounded area instead flopped against the boys' skin as if beyond control of the dog. While there was something definitely wrong with the creature, a closer examination would be needed to determine what.

Felix Silverlight CP:6 HP:15 Suddenly, as if on a realization Felix forgot to panic... sort of falling over as the dog pushed on his foot, knocking him over. Though he was not so much concerned about that as figuring out what exactly was wrong with this creature... if it really was a dog.. of any sort.. wild or not. He had a terrible feeling about the way it was sucking chakra out of him. Though to tell the truth, he had absolutely no control over the outcome of this any more now and he sort of gave up trying to fight back. Not really admitting to himself that he had lost hope, but Felix was not a hero of any legend or sort. He was a very practical eleven year old, and he figured that since there was no way at all to beat this thing, it might just give up on trying to kill him if he was a little nicer. Anyways it did not matter, because he could not kill it even if he wanted to. And so he sort of sat there, watching it gnaw on his foot, and sort of watching it up and down.. examining it. "...Well... I suppose I couldent just ask you why your so upset could I? Or why you can pass the defenses so easily..." Felix shrugged to himself. Of course it would attack him back, because he had attacked it first, and so that made sense. He reached forth, touching the creatures head and petted it a little, a little too calmly for an eleven year old about to be eaten by a monster. But it also let him get a closer look at the things eyes as well. And he figured if it was going to snap at his hand, it would have to let go of his pained foot at least. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ((Examines it and falls over.))

FELIX- HP: ? DB: 13 As quickly as it had snapped at the child, the mass of dark fur released the boy from its' jaws. It lifted its' head momentarily at the Genin before vomiting violently into his lap. Felix could not tell what the cause of the sickness was or what the effects would continue to be, if they would continue at all. With chunks of flesh, blood, fur, and bile sitting on the lap of the boy the animal let out a final dry hack before snarling once again. It was obviously not forgiving the child. Though it was no longer holding onto Felix.
In the distance barking and howling began to increase.

Felix Silverlight CP:6 HP:15 "...Woah.. Woah!!" Felix watched as the dog vomited onto his pants leg... though it let go of his foot, for which he was grateful. He sat looking at the thing, king of disgusted now from the smell and feel of the stuff. Great... so if he survived this encounter after all, there was the chance he could catch rabies.. or worse. Hey, he should be grateful that it was letting go... Felix frowned, continuing to sit where he was and watch the thing curiously... he was afraid to stand up, because it might count the action aggressively and continue to kill him further.. but it seemed for now that the two were at a stand still. Felix because he realized how futile it was to fight the thing, and the creature, because it was... sick? Felix was going to reach out and try to calm the creature... though he was terrible at handling animals and he would not know the first place to begin. But he realized that there was a mass of barking and howling in the distance... ...Wait.. what the..? "...So why aren't you with the rest of the pack?" Felix cocked an eye at the 'dog'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ d20(5)+awareness (2)= 7 ((Unlucky much this mission.. ><))

FELIX- HP: ? DB: 13 Despite the calm demeanor of the boy the dog had no intentions of being his friend and that much was very clear. As the Silverlight reached his hand forward the canine lunged out at it with teeth hunting angrily. Whatever it was that caused the animal to get sick had passed and did not seem to further hinder it. It also appeared to be better at ignoring the wound it had sustained than Felix was.
On the plus side the pause in combat gave the child a chance to determine that the noises in the distance had not moved any closer to them. Though the amount of other dogs, how far away they were, and in what direction was still unknown.

Felix Silverlight CP:5 HP:13 "...Aw.. well be like that.." Felix scowled as the creature went to bite at him once again... and he stood to his feet quickly and defensively, unfortunately unable to avoid a nasty bite from the thing which pained his arm. "...Come on, calm down..." Felix tried to reason with it, not knowing the first thing about animal control. "...I don't even taste good... I must be terrible feeling in your mouth." FELIX- HP: ? DB: 13 The dog clearly did not understand the human language as it in no way ceased its' attack on the boy. In fact it almost appeared as if the fact that the child was no longer as frightened as before made the animal even more angry. Not only had it been attacked without cause, but now the tiny mailman was mocking it by claiming that it was weak. The beast was not about to settle for such an accusation and thus set about with renewed vigor to defeat the shinobi. It latched that same scratchy tongue around the wounded appendage as it had done previously. However it made no attempt to suck at it this time around, as if it were wary of doing so. By that time the canine had regained its' footing and was staring fiercely back at the Silverlight.

Felix Silverlight CP:1 HP:13 "...Screw this... Kawarimi no Jutsu." Felix appeared on a limb of a tree a short distance away, glaring at the creature... for he had given up referring to it as a dog by this point. Unless this was some sort of demonic hell hound, this was no dog. And this was definatly no Genin ranked mission... unless they expected only Jounin level Genin, like Rhaim to be able to fight these things. Felix was done. He didn't feel like being a chew toy anymore and he had already made up his mind to escape. "...Enjoy your squirrel." Felix nodded to the poor squirrel the creature would now be staring at. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ((Have to hit me to grapple me, and that was a miss.)) Quote: Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique) This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Felix Silverlight CP:2 HP:14 Felix shrugged from his position, watching the dog from up in the tree. High above it where there was no chance it could jump or hit him at all. He shifted about getting comfortable on his limb and rested his back against the trunk. He glanced to the side, watching it though... down there below, wondering how it would act while cheated of its prey. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ d20+stealth(0) = ~ HP +1 CP +1 Resting.

FELIX- HP: ? DB: 13 As the dog moved to adjust its' hold on the boy it found that the small mailman was completely moved from his vision altogether. What it was left with was a rather confused squirrel with puffed cheeks from the nuts it had been eating while watching the fight. This was not an entirely bad situation for the dog since the whole reason it was separated from the pack in the first place was to chase the squirrel now seated before him. However since they were both caught off guard by the situation the small critter was able to scamper straight back up the tree that it had been on, narrowly avoiding the hungry maw of the dog.
Unfortunately the action of the squirrel brought the vision up the tree and towards Felix. And that small action caused the dog to spot the young boy again. Having both of the meals it had been cheated out of in the same tree the dog growled happily. Its' eyes still locked on Felix and the squirrel, now racing into his vomit covered lap, the dog began plodding slowly towards them.
Straight up the tree.

Felix Silverlight CP:2 HP:14 "..No... Noooo!!!" Felix panicked, watching the dog look up at him with those flame spouting eyes.... what came next was only to be expected of course. "...Gaaaahhh!!!!" Felix hated to admit it but he almost screamed... it came out as more of a yipping yell as he bailed from the tree quickly... sprinting off back toward the village will all of his effort. This was not right... not right at all... he wanted to just wake up from this nightmare now... and he pinched himself a couple of times while he was running. The squirrel was watching curiously from the tree. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
