Head first; they'd begun to fall head first. Number one in the tatzel book of bouncing- always always land tail first. One too many tatzel children had been lost to this rule. Was she to join them now? By wrestling with a demon?
No. No she wasn't. The proof was in the fact that he was falling with her. Relief struck even at the incredible speed they were falling at. She unhooked her legs and allowed herself to dangle in free fall with loose arms wrapped around his neck. Falling for her wasn't the big issue; if she was bouncing, the fall was her favorite part! It was the fact that she was attached to the boil that bothered her. He had wings, not a tail, to stop himself but willingly allowed them both to drop. A lightbulb went off in Levi's head then. This was his sort of trickery.
Boil! If yer thinkin' a makin' a deadmess outta me, JACK 'N HELL, I'm takin' ya with me!!! Can be sure 'a that! She didn't tighten her loose on him just in case he really did plan on doing some fancy maneuver to fool her. She had to be ready to let go him if anything suspicious happened. Down into the trees again they went. Levi whipped her tail around like a tail to a shark trying to make him fishtail. She wanted to mess with his flight plans as best as she could. Grinning at the fact that she'd found herself a strong opponent, she found it equally fitting that he was attempting to use trickery on her in return.

For a very long moment, West was... concerned that he might have miscalculated. As the wind rushed through his hair and the tatzel disengaged her legs from around his waist, he was forced to quickly straighten his arms out behind him in a futile effort to try and grab her back closer to him. He had been balancing her weight just fine where it had been, Jackdammit! Now was not the time for recalculation!
"I wasn't gonna but it might'urn out tha'way now!" he shouted, unaware that she had her own plan for not ending up forty kinds of broken on the forest floor. All he knew was that any chance of him flapping his way out of a broken neck had just gone from 'pretty good' to 'FFFFFFFFFF.'
Branches and leaves smacked against his already scratched up face and he made one last-ditch effort to grab the ghoul. There! He let out a triumphant, "HA!" as he caught hold of her leg and flared out his wings almost simultaneously, slowing the two of them to something approaching a stop mere feet above the ground. Luckily for Levi, her fall was cushioned by a large pile of West.
The boil's wings disappeared as soon as he hit the ground, and even though he didn't slide forward as far as he had after the surprise attack during paintball practice, he did crash with a distinct lack of grace. West pushed himself up onto his elbows almost immediately. "Get offa me GET OFF!"

It was a rough fall to say the least. Passing through the trees, she realized something. It was working. Her choice of swaying and staying loose on him proved to cause him some teeter as they dove through the army of scratching branches. He'd been trying to grasp at one of her legs to try and... at first she couldn't figure out why.
Lightbulb. He needed her in the same position to keep balance, right? He wanted to bring her legs back up to their original position. Don'tcha even think 'a- AYE! The demon laughed at her as he finally was able to grasp her despite her wriggling.
The wings were wide again and as the air caught them, their fall slowed. Just a little too late to save him from a face full of ground, however. The tatzel luckily was in just the right position to fall on him rather than need to detach from him and fall on her own. Sure, she could bounce to safety but- given the option to do damage to your opponent...why not?
Now on solid ground again, she looked to the sky and said a silent prayer of thanks to her kin that she did not fall head first. Then, she collected herself and focused on her current position: ontop of the demon who played cushion to her fall. He still looked to be in good shape as he yelled for her to get off of him. No chance, fella. Got ya pinned. What'cha gonna do 'bout it? The ghoul was straddling him, sitting on the small of his back. Putting a hand on each of his shoulders, she forced him back on the ground with all her weight. She'd scratched the calf of the leg which the boil had grabbed but otherwise came out perfectly intact (discuding the red scrapes and beginnings of bruising from the trees). Moving in closer and tilting slightly to see his face, the tatzel did what is normally done prior to such situations. What's yer name, boil? She grinned like she'd just caught her prey and knew he wasn't going anywhere. Ya certainly got 'lotta fight in ya. Names Levi. Pleasure ta meet sucha roughin' toughin' sorta boil. She dug her nails into his shoulder blades to keep him from trying to buck her off. Where'd yer...ah~...things go? One could assume she meant the disappearing act of the wings he'd just had.

West struggled valiantly for several seconds before the silent and subtle rage pout kicked in and he went limp, flopping to the dirt under her weight. By Jack, it seemed this really was happening again. Beaten by a ghoul. He'd even been paying attention this time! Sort of. He pushed back against the hands on his shoulders, propping himself up on his elbows with a growl. At least she appeared to properly respect a good fight, but that much had been clear from the start.
"West," he grated. "The pleasure's all mine." Sarcasm? Indeed. "Y'like fightin', do ya? I'm always up fer one." Next time he'd show her. None of this tail crap. He'd bring along some... tongs or something to keep her from squeezing him to death. He frowned. His... things? "What? Oh, my wings. A lotta wrath demons dun hafta have 'em all the time," he explained, a bit of a teacher's tone slipping into his exasperated voice. It was clear he had been schooled on this very subject more than once. "But I can't use 'em where there's no FEAR, an' I don't use 'em much anyway. Only when irritatin' ghouls have a lesson comin' to 'em." He shifted his body, making another half-hearted effort to get up. "Now gettoff! I'm not layin' 'round th'forest witha ghoul on m'back all night!"

Well, pleasure 'ndeed, West. She'd caught the sarcasm but just took it comically. The boils usually did pout when she bet them back home. He'd get over it and likely- yep. Expect another round to redeem themselves. This is the part she liked; the next time around would get harder as he'd know her potential. She teased a bit hm... definitely up fer 'nother time whenever. Since ya seem ta take a beatin' pretty well. Hit the ego, and increase the battle aura.
She had a brighter smile on her lips while perching when he mentioned his species and the trait pertaining to his kin. Fascinating! So ya ain't a demon bird. Wrath. Sounds fun! No wonder yer a trick. Lesson 'been learned, West....but not tha way yer meanin' There was a compliment to him in some form there somewhere but she leaned downward again to emphasize her current pin on him. Then, taking a knee and using her tail as backup,...
Sure thing, West
... she got up and side-stepped a few feet away from West.
She folded her hands around her back again and stood plainly. That innocent smile wasn't going to trick him this time, but she felt it was funny to pretend regardless.

He kept his mouth shut in response to her taunt about his taking a beating, storing away the burst of anger it provoked for later. Oh, she'd get hers. Guaranteed.
When she let him up, West practically jumped to his feet, taking a step toward her and raising his hand slightly. He wanted to do something unsportsmanlike, to lash out, but she wasn't fighting anymore, and there was only so much fun to be had sucker punching ghouls just because they had bested him.
He did eye her tail and mutter, "None a'that next time," before rolling his eyes and stalking off, his own beringed tail lashing behind him.
