Maybe it had been some sort of negaverse trick? Surely ChibiMoon's father would have... well... at least some trait that indicated a reasonable quality in producing children. It seemed absolutely surreal to think that ChibiMoon's father was some kind of... dead beat dad.
"I'll keep that in mind." He added, trying to be as serious as possible, though he was hoping that if he needed serious there was a better calvary than an stuffed bear that apparently 'got bigger'.

Hug-bell frowned, "Iunno, maybe he was just too happy to see Chibimoon to realize what he was doing?"
"It sorta seemed like.... that." She wasn't trying to make excuses but, "He sorta showed up at bad time though... with the fighting over that shiny rock and all."
She grinned, having a feeling he wasn't completely sure. "I can show you if you want?" She had Barnaby in the crook of her arm now, "He's pretty impressive, and you don't have to have a youma or bad guy around for him to work."

"Heh, well I appreciate that Barnaby." He grinned, though he still wasn't clear how much help a stuffed bear, or a chibi senshi could be. "...I gotta admit, so far my experience with royalty hasn't been so hot, so to speak."
Chibimoons father... check as dickwad. Kneeleena or whatever the hell she'd been called: Two steps short of wiping out a few thousand people with her boyfriend because she couldn't keep a leash on her rock. ((He wasn't terribly clear on the importance of the crystals, but he couldn't imagine how they would mean so much that it would be worth wiping out the people they were there to protect.))
"Uh, sure, let's see what Barnaby can do." He offered. How much bigger could the bear get anyway? This lead to a vaguely amusing mental image of a stuffed bear the size of King Kong scaling a city skyscraper with HugBell as Faye Ray, but he'd have noticed by now if the thing got that huge.

Hug-bell nodded, "Barnaby says your welcome." Occasionally she still amused herself by adding vocals from her stuffed bear. She pondered softly, "Chibimoon's okay. Her Dad's a bit weird.... iunno, maybe they're just not sure what they can do to help us?"
The child however smiled when Lion agreed, "Okay!" She sat down Barnaby and took a few small jumps back, calling her normal attack, "Teddy Comfy Catches!" And suddenly the bear started to grow, until he was the size of a twin Matress. It wasn't King-Kong sized but it was huge for a teddy bear, a little larger than Regulus himself and was a little wider than him. It was a large landing spot for a child, but for a teen; it was a little lacking.
She smiled, "See he can break falls very well when you land on him. I think he has extra stuffing to make the landing extra soft and bouncy!" The lifeless glass-like eyes were now almost on Regulus' eye-level.
