"What makes... me think that...?" He asked, starring at him as though he'd suddenly grown an extra head. He really was a dense one wasn't he? "What sort of..." He lifted one hand up to rub it against his temples as though he felt a migraine coming on, something he would guess would be a normal thing when it came to dealing with this child. It was like trying to converse with a rock, it just wouldn't listen or obey like it should... at least rocks were useful though, you could throw them at people.
The demon lord came a slow nod of agreement when Jera spoke, finding that he made a rather good point in with one of the things he was saying, "Yes, I think we actually agree upon something, your NOT the brightest, not in the least bit. You, as you said, just woke up. I on the other hand have been here for a while now, I know what its like here." He wanted to shake the kid like a dog shaking a rat, to try to get it through to him that no matter what title he gave himself that this place wouldn't suddenly change, "The way out? You are a dumb one, there is no way out!"

"When I said I wasn't the brightest, I meant because of my age, not on my intelligence, jerk!" He gave a growl, though it sounded more like a kitten's purr. He was not threatening to say the least. But the seriousness that the other displayed seemed to finally hit him.
"What is this place..? Is there really no way out? Why do you live here then..?" Jera's head was swarming with questions, and soon enough, sadness began to fill him.. What kind of world had he woken up in this time? He had seen wars take place.. He had seen people killed before his very eyes, but each time, he could run away, return to somewhere safe.. Is there no place like that in this world?
"I won't leave, just get away, you smell like rotting animals." He was NOT going to show any sort of weakness towards this big old man. Just because he was a child didn't mean he wanted to be treated as such! No, he was going to be a big man some day!

Teival starred down at the boy that appeared as though he were trying to... growl? He blinked a couple times before lifting up a hand to smother a bit of a chuckle, "Yes... that was quite effective, I am sure that your foes would flee before you after hearing such an intimidating..." He trailed off, no long able to keep a straight face as he said such things and laughed a bit more at the boy. It was just far to funny, to see something so small, something wearing that hat, as he growled.
"What is it? If I weren't already certain of the existence of Hell being elsewhere I would think that this was such a place. Instead its where they send the crazies that aren't fit to live among normal society." He said, giving a shrug of one shoulder, he supposed that the ones outside the walls of this place were likely lucky enough to be without what lived in here he didn't think that everyone who lived in the Asylum belonged here. He knew that he damn well shouldn't be here and wouldn't be here if it weren't for a betrayal that he'd never seen coming...
He shook his head, forcing such thoughts out of is head as he didn't even want to think about it. Catching hold of the boy by the back of his robes and gave him a yank away from the door, "Get away from the door then." He ordered him, not about to let up in ordering about the one he'd already deemed as his servant.

"Don't laugh at me!! I'm being completely serious!" What was with this old man! Why was he not taking him seriously?!
"Crazies..? I shouldn't be here!! They must have built this place ontop of where I fell asleep..." Jera's voice trailed off, and he looked upset.. What luck would have made him appear in a.. Crazy house? There must be some sort of mistake.. He could find a way out some time.. Right?
He gave another bit of an agitated sound, then a yelp as he was pulled away from the door, glaring at the old man.
"Don't order me around! You're no boss of me!" That being said... He did move to sit back down on the bed... If this place really was as dangerous as the old man said, then.. It might be best to listen to him.. Atleast just for now.

"Its quite unfair of you to demand that I don't laugh at you when your growling at me in such a pitiful and comical manner." He told him, finding it far to amusing that the little one was so damn serious about his growls even though they were... well... a touch pathetic to tell the truth. It wasn't the boy's fault he was sure, he was just soft was all. One could tell that at a glance, a painful fact given that living in a place like this people would see him for exactly what he was and gobble him up quite quickly if he didn't have a Master to look out for him.
The boy went from prickly and growly to looking suddenly upset over the new he was given, "Perhaps, this castle has stood for some time so either they built it over you or someone brought you here while you slept. I can't say for certain given I haven't been here that long. I was dropped off here... some half a year ago." Six months in this hellhole, it sure felt like an eternity longer when it came to this place and what it took to survive here, "I hate to be the one to inform you this," Alright that was a lie, he didn't really care one or the other, "But your here so you might as well get used to it. From what I have seen thus far escape is impossible and those that try... well I would rather not speak of them."
Teival moved over to plop down on the bed next to Jera, starring at him for a long moment before his lips turned up into a bit of a grin, "Best that you resign yourself to the fact that I have claimed you, boy. After all there are worse people that could have sunk their claws into you, literally as well as figuratively." He told him giving him a little bat on the head like one would do to a puppy they were trying to sooth and Jera, for the moment at least, was basically that in the eyes of the demon lord given he was far to young to be anything but a puppy and a servant.

At this point, Jera began to disregard Teival's teasing and started to think. He was trapped here..? No freedom, no happiness.. no Warm loving arms of the person he was entrusted to (he'd die before he'd allow this old man to be his friend! Protector, maybe, but he was mean so far!). This was all too much for him.. Maybe it would have better if he hadn't woken up this time.. He leaned against Teival's side, sniffling a bit. He didn't want to be here! He did nothing wrong! All he was guilty of was waking up..
"No one knows about me except you... Should.. I tell someone that I don't belong here..? Would.. They even listen to me..?"

It appeared that he took his teasing a step to far he thought to himself as the one next to him suddenly started to sniffle as though he were going to burst into tears. Normally he wouldn't care, in fact he would normal revele in the tears, enjoy them, feel empowered by them, and yet at the moment he almost felt... guilty? Was that the right word? Surely not! A demon had nothing at all to feel guilty about when it came to the teasing of his servants so perhaps it was some sort of sympathy? Also strange for him but he would blame it completely on the fact that Jera was nothing more then a little slip of a child.
As the boy leaned against him he lifted a hand to give him a pat on the head, "Its pointless to tell them that you don't belong here, that would do little more then draw attention to yourself. First and foremost what you want to do here is try your hardest to be invisible." Something he didn't really excel in himself since there he was unable to hold his tongue when it came to annoying people trying to order him about... but perhaps he could teach Jera how to go about things in the opposite manner that Teival himself did, "Just stick by me and perhaps you will at least live a life that is... tolerable." At best... but it was all that the demon could really offer the kid at this point.

Reality hit the child hard this time, and he came to a point where he where he truly began to cry. It wasn't loud, no, it came in silent waves, his body shaking, and a feeling of sadness, mixed with fear and resentment began to overwhelm him. Was he really going to be stuck here..? Jera's arms moved to cling to Teival, and he pressed his forehead against the larger man's side.
"I.. I'm really going to be stuck here forever.. A-aren't I..?" He whispered, trying to get ahold of himself... He couldn't keep crying.. Crying didn't do anything to help the situation.. But somehow.. He found crying into the older man's side comforting, and the warmth he had seemed to soothe away some of the anguish he felt..
"If.. I think... If you help me.. A-and keep me safe... I.. I will try to be your servant.. Okay..?"

Teival looked at the boy that was suddenly clinging to him in such a manner, making his eyes going rather wide and his wings twitch wildly behind him. What in the nine levels of Hell was this creature doing? It was... it was hugging him?! Not only that but clinging to him and rubbing his face against his side, "Look kid... its not so bad that you need to be clinging to something like me..." He said, teeth gritting slightly. He had the overwhelming desire rising up in him to knock the kid aside with one swift smack, to show him that hugging on a demon was a foolish idea...
The desire to sweep him away was forgotten when the boy was suddenly promising himself to Teival so long as the demon helped him and help him safe. Teival's lips twisted up into a pleased smirk, "Is that so? We have a deal then, boy." Nothing better then a deal to make a demon's mood improve to the point that he could get over anything up to and including having this kid clinging to him.
Lifting a hand up he patted the kid on his head like one might do to a puppy Teival declared, "Its official now, you are mine."
