"You'd enjoy that way too much." She gave a clearly exaggerated eye roll, still more amused than annoyed. "And I certainly wouldn't."
Still, she made no effort to pick up Ever from where he'd tumbled on the hard wood floor. Hey, if he was comfortable down there...
No, her attention was now on Sabine. "No, im a lieutenant, remember ?" She started, then it occurred to her that the girl had no idea what she was talking about. "Oh ! Right. Im Fluorite. We met and I brought you a soda, remember ?"
"And I ignore my own aura all the time, too." She shrugged. But there was clearly more important things to talk about. "So you need a dress, hm~ ? Look like we're the same size, so that should work out pretty well !"
Poor Ever. Ashley was now in make-over mode.

Well, yes; that had been the point. Ever might have been gay, but that didn't actually mean he knew anything about style or fashion. Stereotypes were a dangerous thing.
He went from sitting on the floor to sprawling out, instead, settling back against the cool wood. Ever would let the chatter and the fussing wash over him but, eyes closed, he'd just listen unless they prodded him to help out.
Presumably they wouldn't do any such thing.

"Oh...OH! Fluorite! " Realization dawned over her features as she blinked back. She could make the connection now! "Here i thought i was lucky and knew two other people my same height." A tease, but she was sure Ashley knew too well what it was like to be a midget in a sea of giants.
"Oh yes! A dress... uhm. Consider me your doll then?" She sure had no idea what she was getting herself in to, did she? Looking over her shoulder she eyed ever for a moment. "Your not getting off THAT easily. Sometimes male opinions can be appreciated?"
At least they were usually brutally honest.

"Well, i'll just tell you something you should do well to remember, Sabine." Ashley said with a grin. "The best things come in the smallest packages."
And ho ho ho~ Though, there was a problem with starting the operation. The problem took the form of the white-haired man lying right in front of the door of her wardrobe.
She didn't really want to bash Ever's skull in. "You can just lay in my bed, really. There's no cooties in there." She stuck out her tongue, playfully. "Unless you want to get your skull bashed open by my wardrobe door, which im figuring isn't appealing."

Ever cracked an eye to peer up at the pair of them, head tipped to the side and then upward. Wardrobe. Right. He was a rather effective doorstop -- which was unfortunately about the opposite of what they needed, right now.
He was mostly recovered, and at this point it was probably dramatic exhaustion as opposed to the real thing, but with a huffing sigh he levered himself up onto her bed, instead, legs dangling off one side so that he wouldn't make a mess of her blankets.
"I can give you opinions, but they'll probably mostly be 'why the hell would anyone want to wear a dress and heels?'" Just a moment's pause, and then he grinned at Ashley. "Did you see my boots, speaking of? Flats now."

A warm laugh filtered through the room. "Sorry Ever, your too tall to be in the short club apparently." A smile, a grin, as she followed Ashley and took a step towards the wardrobe, eyes wide. She wondered what sort of clothing army she had in the monster wooden thing....
Without looking back at him, she snorted. "Well.. now that thats past... maybe some crits on color fit etc?"
Looking towards Ashley once more Sabine fidgeted a little. "Any idea on what you were thinking of?" That twinkle in her eye from before said a lot about the other girl loving to dress up.

With the 'obstacle' out of the way, Ashley was now free to open the wardrobe and take a peek inside. Hmmm. No, not this, this would look horrible with her skin tone... And this one was her own prom dress, the one Tate helped her pick, so nooo...
After a moment, she poked her head back out, having narrowed the choices down to a few. "What colors do you like best ?"

...she was unimpressed. Well, so be it. Ever closed his eyes and shook his head, relaxing down into Ashley's bed. It had been a while since he'd actually had a proper mattress, his own given up so that Sabine had a nice place to sleep. His bundle of blankets wasn't bad, but this was better.
Comfort combined with genuinely not giving a s**t about what any of them were wearing to prom were going to lull him down into a light doze. They'd have to prod for answers.

"...Uhhm." That was a good question, what colors DID she like best? She had never really thought about it...
"..Uhm...Red..? Blue!... purple?" A pause, a uncomfortable shifting of her feet.
"...All of them?" Wow Sabine, you were going to be difficult picking a dress for! Ashley would have her work cut out for her.

Ashley couldn't help it - she tiled her head a bit as the colors flew out. Well. This could either be very easy... or very complicated.
Probably very complicated, actually, though now she returned to her wardrobe. Something colorful, at least. There was a nice pastel pink dress but... No, this wasn't quite prom-worthy. This navy blue one looked a little more fancy, so she pulled that out. White.... ehhhhh no.
And then she saw it.
It was a dress brought for fun, a few months ago, on pure whimsy. Ashley hadn't even worn it. But...
She looked to Sabine, then back in the dresser, than back to Sabine again. The cheshire cat grin was well in place.
This couldn't end well.
She reached in, and out came something all the colors the girl had named and yet more - and handed it over. "Bathroom is the door right next down there to the left - go try it out !"
Ashley was going to unleash god damn Rainbow Brite on this prom. Hell yes she would.
Well, if Sabine looked like a** in it, she wouldn't.

Wide eyed Sabine just watched as the clothing came flying. Well, not literally.. but there was a lot of rustling and grumbling. Not really knowing what to do she stood still. Dodging a flying object or two as she may.
"Oh?" She called as she was finally handed a dress. Thats when she saw it... and her eyes lit up. Oh holy rainbows.
Not even a moment later, directed to the bathroom, the girl darted in object in tow. Clearly, this was something she WANTED to try on. Something she had not seen before, something that intrigued the red haired girl.
A few minutes later, looking rather shy she closed the bathroom door behind her, and entered the room arms crossed.
"...Ashley i think you have bigger boobs than i do. I don't fill it out that well." Sabine was almost totally flat chested. Lowering her arms, she stood there waiting for reactions. She stood in a short strapless chiffon dress that twinkled all the colors of the rainbow as it faded from color to color. Against her pale skin, it popped pretty nicely.

With Sabine having all but ran off to chance, Ashley was left pondering the mostly asleep-looking Ever sprawled all over her bed, an amused smile crossing her expression. Oh, the things she could do... but somehow, she found it in herself to abstain.
Sabine was back too quickly for her to ponder pranks, anyway.
"Hm." She focused back on the girl upon her return, head tilting to the side slightly. "You look so much better in it than I do, though. The colors all pop on you." On Ashley, well... She'd looked like a rainbow mess. And not in the good well. "Well, we can either pad it out, or... I don't think ill't be too hard to sew a few threads and make it smaller."
