He watched her crawl, gasping as she tried to explain. Did he need her reasons? Wolframite didn't know. He had vaguley wondered how anyone in their right mind could stand by and listen to what he heard for 2 weeks, what he saw for that time, and he had gone through, and not be moved to do something. But that was the key word. No one there had been in their right mind, and if anyone there could allow that to happen, they would be more than willing to do it again.
"I don't need to hear an excuse. You stood and watched. You let them die, and not with the honor they would have had if they fought in any sort of battle. You all starved them and slowly killed then while they were chained." He followed her as she moved, inching away as best she could. Like a worm.
A disgusting, filthy, rotten, wwwooorrmmm.
He hicked his leg up and slammed his heel into her back. It was the first time he ever used the heel to his boots before, but now that he felt the point connect into her back, he smiled. Hmmm. Heels weren't that bad after all.
Grinning, he dug them into her back to stomp out the bug. "You helped them kill my friends and robbed them of the sort of death that they deserved. Not rotting in some chair as they were butchered like cattle!" His smile vanished as he scowled, frustration and anger pulling his features tight and destroying his boyish face. He wanted to pop her under his shoe like a fat slug.

The words heart her to her heart and made her feel like a truly terrible person. She did not know why she had been born as Maia, why she had been dragged into a war with no direction and told to fight. It was fight or watch other's die. Kill or be killed and it was something that like a harsh blow she realized she did not think she could handle.
Tears slipped down her face as she moved away and it seemed as soon as she tried to raise up the heel connected with her back. She gasped, her breath taken away from her once more. This was a battle she could not fight, the guilt of what happened lay to heavily upon her chest. She couldn't fight him, not after what happened, what she had allowed to happen.
Sucking in a breath tears still rolling over rosy cheeks she focused and summoned her phone with a pop flipping it open and making an attempt to call for help. Someone, anyone to help her.

Paying no mind, he continued on, pressing his heel until he removed it, feeling only a little strain in his leg. Turning, he summoned his weapon, wondering if he could threaten her with the blades as the others had done. There were different sides to blunt pain and that of a blade, and he debated stretching this out too long. You don't have two weeks after all.
He told himself that the crying didn't bother him despite his stomach twisting. Yet, as it persisted, he turned and kicked her side once more.

As the heel came down she clenched her hand around her phone wanting to curl up, but knowing she needed help, the pain was so sharp, she couldn't breath, she couldn't think. It was all just to much for her and then it stopped. For just a moment which had Maia looking back to Wolfy had a weapon in his hand, the chained knife. She tried to scramble away fumbling with her phone, while fear flushed over the girl and she pressed to button to scan the area, seeing miraculously Regulus was in the area.
She went to call him, but she heard Wolfy turn and his foot connected with the side of her thigh causing her to drop her phone it disappearing back to wear it came from.
She grabbed at the offending foot and pulled. Regulus was close, she needed time, she needed to get away. She had to do something, she was feeling guilty yes, she probably deserved punishment, but that did not mean she wanted it and it certainly did not mean she would allow Wolfy to beat her to death.
"Leave me alone! Two wrongs don't make a right!!!!" The words were shouted, was it obvious she was trying to draw attention to them?

There was enough seconds before impact for Wolframite to look surprised. When he felt the grip on his knee-high boots, he reminded himself that this was exactly why one didn't get too cocky with a senshi and why killing as soon as possible was always the best way to handle a senshi in any given situation. She had no vital information, no real use, but it was the satisfaction of delivering even a small amount of the pain he and his friends had endured that let him play around.
His tail-bone hit the ground as he leg was yanked, and the pain sang up his spine. Even if it was dirt, it was still very solid. His weapon dismissed itself when he lost his grip, and he hiked his other leg to kick out at her. "LET GO!"
It seemed someone didn't like to be touched.

Maia was breifly elated when Wolframite, when from standing to flat on his bottom, that was until she was kicked and a serve pain shot up her wrist, causing her to shot out, but still she held in on her grip on his ankle tight.
She launched herself at him her other arm swinging, finger swiping. She aimed to scratch him on the face, the neck, whatever to momentarily wound him so she could get away, run for Regulus. If she could get to him she would be safe, run and call, run and call. It was the main thing on her mind. Not what how Wolframite might respond to a facial attack.
At the moment it matter not, at the moment she was in this battle and she did not want to die. She had to fight, no matter how much she would have rather left the matter to rot.

The face was of great concern for Wolframite. While others might be worried about their looks, the captain was more concerned about the usefulness of his eyes, not to mention a healing wound on the side of his face. A wound that the senshi had reached out for and scratched in her desperation to attack and wound him. A burn was already a terrible injury, involving a long process of healing, burn cremes, and medication just to be able to keep sane at times. Weeks had past and the dead skin was gone, scabs slowly working to fix what it could, and with the blessing of a Negaverse health plan that involved eating energy orbs and crossing his fingers (on his good hand), the scarring was minimal.
However, the wound was still tender, healing, and at the swipe of fingernails across it, tore off healing scabs and soft skin to make it weep with blood. Kicking back, he summoned his weapon with his good hand and threw the chains at her in a wide arch to get her to release. "YOU STUPID b***h!" He cried, pain and anger rippling through his young voice.
It took a lot to make Wolframite swear, but he was properly pissed now.

Maia had been wrapped in those chains before and it was an experience she did not want to repeat, so she quickly released him, tumbling back, wide eyed at the blood on her hands. She scrambled to her feet and took off. Unfortunately, as much as she was in, her run was slow, her muscles around her stomach and back protesting the activity.
Tears ran down her eyes as she ran trying to get away was she even running in the right direction, she didn't know. She summoned her phone again and this time she was able to make the call dialing Regulus. When he answered the first thing he would hear was her labored breathing and gasps for air.

He held his neck, pain singing hot as he felt blood drip between his fingers. Tonight was going to be unbearable to sleep and he knew Billy was gong to be pissed that he got a injury made worse from going off on these midnight patrols when he should be taking it easy. Why wasn't he doing that? No one expected him to be out here. Then again, they didn't expect much out of him.
Yet, out of his patrols and run-ins with senshi so far, this one was at least a member of their party. The closest he had gotten to since he was rescued. He had to get her.
Focusing despite the misting in his eyes, he ran after her, spinning one end of his chain to get some needed momentum an trying to aim. Just as he felt he might have it, he let his chain weapon loose.

Maia glanced back to see the chain flying toward her. "No, please," she cried as the chain slammed around her waist, wrapping tight and knocking her to the ground. She screamed her phone tumbling from her hand and poping away as she hit the ground hard. She scrambled trying to remove the heavy chain from her body.
"Why are you doing this," she shouted, "Please, please let me go."
Tears ran down her eyes, her abdomen burning from the heavy chain around her waist, which she pushed and pulled at but only caused herself more pain.
'Regulus,' she thought, 'please come, please.'
She looked up eyes wide and called out her attack despite being on the ground. "Sweet Harmony," she sang out letting the music fill her and praying her attack wouldn't be cut off again.

Oh, he knew Sweet Harmony. The trick was to keep the notes away, and he had a nice little object to bash against the the notes. She still had enough energy to fight him then she was clearly not sorry at all. It just meant that deep down, she DID want him dead. Liar. They were all liars. They would all bite and chew and claw to live and would use every word and trick to survive.
"You already know why."
Grabbing the end of his chain, he gripped it between his good hand and bad one and then jumped back, hoping to whip her back and hopefully into a tree. If anything, it would injure her enough to not try that attack again and if a few notes did hit, then he'd have time. He hoped.

"Yeah well I don't. So why don't we pull out the therapy couch and you can tell us all about it."
Honestly he had no clue what was going on, just that he'd gotten an message for help from Maia, which had surprised him. Shouldn't she have been able to call on one of those freaky Blood Mooner's she'd hooked up with? Seeing her getting pounded down by Wolframite as he'd arrived had been another surprise, but then the little Nega was surprisingly fierce. Sort of like a small dog, he made up for his lack of size with tenacity and aggression.
"Claws of the Lion!" He could have gone with a more powerful attack, but with the chances of hitting Maia being there, the lowered powered but still painful attack seemed like the better opener as he charged onto the scene with a slightly less than stellar 'Snappy Intro'.

Maia shouted when the chain went taunt and she went flying right through her own attack, which although halved because she did not finish it took effect off her. She slammed into the tree and would have screamed, but her body felt heavy, so tired. She knew she had to fight it, but did she ever want to give in to the feeling as she slumped against her ground. Her shoulder ached severely with sharp pain from where she slammed into the tree, but in the moment there was nothing she could do about expect bare it.
Maia wanted to look up at the voice of her friend, but her head would not cooperate. Still she was so very happy to know that she wouldn't die tonight. Of course she should have called on the Blood Moon Court, but she didn't see one of them in the area, and she knew that probably would have made the situation worse. Not only that, depending on who it was Wolfy might possibly have died that night. Maia couldn't handle that, not right now, not even with him trying to kill her.

A signature wasn't hard to notice, especially when a certain someone had a bit of a signal to him due to his promotion. Not only that, but Wolframite was starting to feel a certain familiarity with Regulus' presence, but even he slipped in getting wrapped up in revenge. Thinking straight was hard to come by these days, and he only snapped out in time, having been smiling as he whipped Maia's body into a tree and hoping that some bones were broken in the process if not rupturing some organs when he felt someone behind and to his side.
Turning quickly, he looked just in time to prepare for the attack which caught him in the side. Distance was his friend and his first surprise reaction was to jump the hell away.
Dismissing his weapon from Maia's body in an instant, he jumped away from the pair. "Regulus." He snapped, holding his smoldering side. Fire was a completely unwanted attack as Wolfram had a much stronger dislike for it. "...REALLY bad timing." For him at least and, considering Maia's state, maybe bad timing in being a tad late. So that's what the phone was about? He didn't think Senshi would just pop open a cell and chat. He'd have to see about grabbing a senshi phone now. Maybe find Ares through there and the rest of the BMC bitches.

"Well, you know..." Regulus quipped, spreading his hands slightly, which was, not coincidentally, also preparation to attack again. "Cats... Dogs... you... me... It's like Kismet, only with more punching. And burning."
He flashed a brief smile to the Nega agent. Funny to think he'd actually saved the guy once when they'd been battling the Cardians. He somehow had the feeling that wasn't happening again any time soon. Certainly he didn't expect Wolframite to ever return the favor.
"Any way it boils down to this. I can't let you kill my friends.... Oh and I seem to recall you still owe me for saving your a** from the stupid Card Monster."
...That was probably just going to get him hurt, and Wolframites chain was likely to do worse than give him the black eye the jumprope had, way back when, but since it had come to mind, he felt he had to try.
