Ethfael tensed slightly at Mercutio's words, not because he feared that the fight would be worse than anything they normally faced, but because he took to heart the instruction to stay in groups. This fight, he would not let Era out of his sight, even if it meant having to force her to stay in one place. The wall behind Mercutio exploded without warning, causing the Dragonair to move forward in front of Era. The Pikachu paid no mind to it but instead stared at that thing flying outside in disgust. The voice revealed it to be Nico, but it looked nothing like the Weavile form they'd seen him with before. He was horrendous, a freak of nature that shouldn't be alive, and yet now they were fighting him.

As the spikes were fired across the field everything burst into action and attacks came and went from absolutely everywhere. Era jumped to the side, the adrenaline pumping through her veins bringing her out of her thoughts and into the present. "Ethfael, duck!" she shouted following her own order as well, as a smattering of spikes shot into the ground behind them. Era aimed an Electro Ball at the deformed Weavile and Ethfael sent a Dragon Rage his way as well before they were forced down again to doge the sharp spikes that just kept coming.



"What is that thing?!" Tris said with horror. Whatever it was it was so deformed that it could hardly be classified as a Pokemon, and it sickened the Ditto. As the spikes flew he ducked and rolled; Riolu would not be the best in this battle; but there was nothing to be done about that now. When Tris regained his footing he used a Copycat to hurl a set of spikes back at the...whatever it was.

Maestro eyed the creature with nothing more than disdain, "Clearly this is that 'Nico' they were talking about," he replied, using his Agility to dodge the spikes as they came he aimed a Dark Pulse at Nico and watched closely to see where the Weavile would strike next.

"What." Charles floated idly in the air, dumbfounded by the appearance of Nico. "What a retarded looking pokemon." He made the comment while casually erecting a barrier with one hand. "He IS an aberration, rightly, but have you really been struggling against him for so long? I would've thought the bug would have cut his head from his shoulders long ago."

"I... I don't know. It's complicated." Well, that was the easy way of putting it. The more honest way was that the guild staff and, to some part, the guild itself had been highly incompetent until quite recently. The fact that Mercutio was even loosely involved was questionable, all the same, but apparently that had come from Tolin which probably meant there was a plan in case he ******** up horribly. Desmond would pop up, or something, who knew.

All the same, Puer shot out a Shadow Ball from around the barrier.

"What the #$%^&*( is that?"

"Aiden, is that the Weavile? Because I've seen some weird hybrids before but that is not a weavile."

"I-I'm not entirely sure." It was attacking though, so the team had no trouble figuring out who they were supposed to be killing. The only problem was...

"Arceus, it's ugly. And...what the hell is everyone doing?" Chris was obviously referring to the fact that the moment the zubat/weedle-hybrid-turned-inside-out burst through the wall, everyone in the guild all began attacking it at once. There was no unified strategy, with everyone just piling themselves on top of the enemy.

Team Trinity had no idea how they were expected to fight under such conditions, having not been back in the guild long enough to realize this was normal. If they had their way they'd get a half dozen skilled fighters, at most up to the front to confront this 'Nico' with the rest of the Pokemon for support, offering boosting moves and protection.

"How the hell do we fight like this?" Beka asked with a hint of annoyance as she whipped out her sword, blocking the one or two spikes that came her way. Aiden spun around, throwing his cloak out in a wide arc and the spikes caught harmlessly on the fabric. The rest just bounced harmlessly off of his armour.

"Just join right in then, I guess." Aiden replied with a mischievous grin, drawing his sword.

"Hell, see if I care if we all die then. Let's go."

Beka lead the charge. She noticed that many of the guild members were unwilling to get close to the Weavile, except for one team (Blacksteppe). Once they cleared the way fire leaked up from Beka's wrists to go up and surround her blade. If this thing was a Weavile -or as she thinks more likely, a really ugly weedle- she figured it'd be weak to fire. Fire enveloped the entirety of her body as she jumped into the air, slashing down at Nico in an attempt to simply end it.

She cursed when she didn't manage to cut the thing in half. In fact, she wasn't sure if she had actually hit if she hadn't felt some form of resistance against her blow. her fires died out as she absorbed her momentum in a roll, coming back up to her feet on the other side.

Aiden and Chris took a little more note of the fact no one wanted to touch the 'weavile' and kept their own distance. Aiden conjured a small razor-sharp leaf and threw it more as a test of how the enemy would react to such an attack than for actual damage. Chris watched the battle, not ready to dive in until he knew fully of what they were getting themselves into.

Zephyr was utterly disgusted by the Pokemon that destroyed the wall and started throwing spikes. Echo was already ahead of it, deflecting a spike that was nearing Zephyr, because he was too busy gawking at the mutant Pokemon to defend himself. Though looking at this Pokemon that had created so much pain and rage throughout the entire guild had inspired him to help everyone take it down that much more.

"Zephyr... Please... use ranged attacks. I don't want you getting hurt. Plus, they said to stick together." Echo reached out a friendly hand. She didn't want any Pokemon getting hurt, but Zephyr was very important to her. He probably didn't hear the plea, however, as he raced forward to the Weavile thing, jumped high, and Slashed it a couple times before landing on the ground again. He slid back, and as he tried to move forward again, a spike scathed his left leg, and he collapsed. Echo, watching him the entire time, sprinted to him, shooting off all spikes with an Energy Ball, one also successfully hitting Nico once. "I told you to listen to me." She said as she started to rapidly bandage the small wound so it wouldn't get worse.

Zephyr stood up, uneasily, but overall he was fine. That really taught him not to rush into things. "Thank you." He breathed, before sending a Razor Wind towards Nico.

"I mean really." Charles casually made his hand burst into flames as he smashed away one of the tentacles. A psychic pulse surrounded his arm, protecting him from any kind of damage. "Why allow his mutation to grow this long? I'll admit it's certainly made him more interesting, but you should have been able to kill him long before this."

"W... Well it's complicated." Charles frowned, clearly annoyed at the Rhyhorn's inability to answer questions. Puer shot off another Shadow Ball, being generally unwilling (and unable) to get into the melee fray.

Era watched gravely as the tentacles sprang out from Nico's wings, she waited until one came her way, charging up her fist with electricity and punching it between the blades with a Thunderpunch. She sent a Thunderbolt coursing up the tentacle to hit the main body of Nico before backing away as the tentacle swiped at her. Ethfael was on the offensive in an instant, hitting it with a Dragon Rush so hard that it would have cracked any bones within it. He managed to avoid the blades just barely, and Era finished the work with a Swift that sliced the end of the tentacle off, removing it from it's owner's body. In an instant the pair were off again before anything else could shoot at them from their deranged opponent.



Maestro glanced up at the tentacles with slight amusement; this "Nico" seemed to think himself quite more powerful than any of them here, yet it was quite obvious that he wasn't. With a laugh, Maestro used Foul Play on a passing tentacle, sidestepping as it tried to stab him, "You'll have to do better than that," he said softly, escaping without being touched.

Tris was pleased when the tentacles came out, a Riolu's short-range moves would work now! He raced up to the one Maestro had hit and slammed into it with a Force Palm that sent a shock wave from his fist into the tentacle. "Alright!" he cheered slightly, before he was forced to move out of the way of the blades.

.::Stark & Will & Mako & Siegfried::.

Stark dodged to the side as a rush of tentacles streaked through the air toward him- quickly enough to avoid the brunt of the attack, but not enough to avoid almost half a dozen shallow gashes along his ribcage, and one across his face. He landed awkwardly, leaping away from the flailing tentacles, then chopping down on them with a powerful Night Slash.

Some others weren't so lucky. Siegfried managed to avoid the business end of the tentacles, even given his close proximity to the mutant, but was slapped aside by the thick trunks of the tendrils, sailing across the courtyard. Mako watched him fall, then looked at the Weavile with murder in his eyes.

"How dare you hurt Master Sieg??" he shouted, his muscles surging as his Bulk Up took effect. He dashed recklessly at the mutant, heedless of the tentacles already making their way toward him. Will glanced over just in time to see a blade streaking toward the Combusken.

"Damn kid," he muttered, blasting the tentacle with a Thunderbolt, then proceeding to shoot down every other tentacle in Mako's way, like a perverse sort of shooting gallery. Finally, Mako made it to the mutated Weavile, leaping up and planting both feet on Nico's chest in a vicious Blaze Kick.
