Christa started packing up her things to throw them away. Walking to the trash can, she spoke over her shoulder. "Math is alright, I guess science is where I'm really not interested. If I have to take science classes, then I'll get through it, but I won't like it." She laughed a little then, waiting for Lily to stand so they could go to the next building. The sun was still in the sky, so the lights on the campus hadn't come on yet. There was still plenty of daylight left to burn. "Maybe we did know each other when we were younger. I would think I'd remember someone with as red hair as you have!" It was intended to be a compliment, and Christa smiled when she said it.

Walking along with Lily made her feel like she belonged here. It was a very nice feeling, to belong. She was slowly considering what she could do at DCU for a major and as a career afterwords. It was a lot to consider, but she did have her whole future in front of her, right? Her father would have approved of her interest in higher education.

"Do you know some of the professors here, Lily? Or are they connections because of your brother?" she asked as they passed by another building.

She laughed lightly at how different they seemed to be academically, but how they how well they got on. It was truly amusing. "Well I can help you with science and you can help me with math, when you get here, if you decide to go here."

"Yes, it is hard to forget these red curls, they are a defining feature. I must say the same about your hair, but we were young and memories fade with time." Lily was smiling, as was often the case with her though if Christa had met her a few weeks back she might not have thought so. She was a far cry from the girl that stood beside her. Lily still looked slightly overtired, but nothing to dire and easily hidden. She thanked the stars for the senshi slightly sped up healing process.

She looked over to Christa at the question about teacher as she opened the door to the first building they would have to walk through and nodded. "Yes I met a few teachers up here and an admissions advisor, but I am not sure if they are still here or if they even remember me, red hair or no."

The more they talked about it, the more convinced Christa became that DCU was the place for her in a year or so. It would make sense on all levels - she'd have residency which reduces tuition costs, she'd be close to home, friends and family, it would be a short commute if she doesn't decide to live on campus, she'd already have a friend here... the last thing to find out is the price of admission.

Maybe they did know each other when they were little? It was hard to say. Stepping into the building, Christa gazed all around. "I remember kids asking me if I was way older than I look. Gray hair runs in the family. It just happens." Sidestepping a few students, the junior followed Lily around the building, looking at all the desks and doors and paperwork plastered to the walls. It seemed much more complicated than she initially thought. It made sense.

"Maybe they'll remember the family name?" she offered.

Lily was walking along looking at the fliers for clubs and things to do, she even so a flier for the college May Day event which looked like it had the potential to be a lot of fun. She peeked into a few empty classrooms looking at the set up and waved politely to a few guys who were checking out her and Christa. Lily hardly knew that, she just thought they were being friendly.

"I have the opposite problem, my ringlets made me look much younger until I got a hair cut. I am trying to let my hair grow back though, I miss the length. And beside long hair seems to be a family trait, only my sister keeps her short and she has to cut if ofter, it grows quickly."

She stopped and looked into a classroom that was filled with students. It looked much like a high school classroom, but the student were paying more attention and the teacher was lecturing from a PowerPoint presentation about public speaking.

"They might," she whispered, before moving on, "my brother was smart. He did very well and even graduated early."

Just a short distance further and they were walking a path to the next building more guys turning to look over the fresh meat, though this time Lily did not notice. Pushing open the door, she made her way in and continued on down the hall.

"I think this is the English building," she said.

While Lily may not have noticed the men checking them out, Christa certainly did. People watching was one of her favorite past times, and the wolfish way some of the guys were looking at them was unmistakable. Most were looking at Lily, which made sense. Christa did not think of herself as attractive in the slightest and when one guy wanted to get a little too friendly with Lily, Christa dropped him a glare that could peel paint from behind Lily's back. She continued to follow the older girl as if nothing had happened.

The English building made her perk up. "I bet I'll be having a lot of classes in there, no doubt." She had the library at home to back her up on essays and the like. The thought of Melinda attending DCU made her more excited about it than she thought possible. It would be like old times, but with more responsibility added on. "How many classes are you planning on taking in the fall, Lily? Full time student? Part time with a job?"

Christa would have to learn to balance work and school if her finances called for it, but she felt she was up to the task.

Lily did, of course, not notice the glare sent at the college boy and continued on none the wiser. She turned looking to Christa as she spoke and grinned, "No doubt. I'm sure they have English literature, British literature, Creative writing and so much more. You will be steeped in English classes."

She peeked into a empty classroom that had the desks arranged in a circle and looked to be one of smaller classes on campus. "I plan on being full time, as to whether I will have to keep a job or not remains to be seen. I wish to live of campus in an apartment, but while I've got my parents pretty much convinced its a good idea, they can change their minds and not pay for it. Either way I am moving out, I'll have extra money from my college fund which includes room and board."

She looked into the classroom again and wondered aloud what class was had in it before turning away to head down the hall. "Next year will be your senior year, yes? Will you be taking any AP classes. I took AP English, AP Biology, AP History, AP Economics ... not that I really need the latter three for my major, but it looked good on the transcripts."

"No doubt AP classes will help fulfill your college requirements, and for free, since I don't think you have to pay to take AP classes..." Christa added, peeking into the classroom Lily just left. She wrote down to take AP classes next year (not that she hadn't planned on it anyway, but it never hurt). She followed Lily closely and took in all the details of Destiny City University in the process - where classrooms were, what classes were in which building, what classes to take when she got here...

She wasn't sure where she stood on whether or not she'd move out to attend college. "I might move out, but I might not. I'm not sure what the college fund it looking like right now... But maybe if I have to go full time at a job, I can be part time at school and still get things done. I don't want to stagnate." Christa explained.

She nodded when Lily asked if next year would be her last at Meadowview. "That's right. I'm a junior now, so next year will be my senior year. I'm excited and apprehensive at the same time..."

Lily nodded and smiled when she wrote down her little note, it amused her lightly, but Christa was right, it was a free way to get college requirement and would help you spend overall less time in college.

Listen while the walked heading back outside to cross over to the next building, she wasn't sure what building they were headed into so she did not say. She knew the art department and English department and the science department otherwise she was pretty lost.

"As long as you have a plan and you seem to, I think you will do well. I highly doubt you will be stagnate. Though hopefully you get enough to go full time and not have to work."

Lily herself did not want to work, it was hard enough to be a senshi and just go to school. She had been dropping so many obligations. The argument about ballet had been awful, since the instructor decided it would be best for her parents to know she skipped 6 straight sessions. She hardly even realized it.

"Oh you should be excited, senior year is so much fun. I enjoyed throughly and I am still excited for the end of the year stuff, graduation and the class trip."
