Okay TK, I feel like it's been quite long enough... I think we'll start with the rp-face value exercise... And here are a few important things to look out for.

- Tenses -


Check every verb. Keep consistent... and reread to see if your verbs match up.

Say you proofread and find a sentence like

"He turn away from the crime scene."

'turn' is in the wrong tense entirely. You could add in certain words-

(He would turn away from the crime scene, only if he could...)

or you could just change the tense.

(He turned away from the crime scene...)

I realize this is very basic... but it's something to look out for. I think the best way to spot these errors, at least at first, is through reading out loud to yourself or imagine yourself as your character- would you really say it that way if you were speaking it? This doesn't always work, with slang and the like, but it helps pin down those verb-issues.
