Zorua hadn't done it for the Growlithe's benefit, she simply moved on to more interesting things, and she liked taking her master's form.
"I mean no disrespect by that." Faleen said, hoping that Claire didn't think Faleen though she wasn't capable of understanding. "I don't even fully understand it, mostly becasue it really has been only a theory until now." She tilted her head. "I find that most people regret letting me go on about subjects like that."
She chuckled once, and smiled.
"You were certainly not alone in that feeling. Its just, There were several times in there, when that women would look over at you, and there was a vibe... that was just different from everyone else. I remember at one point Elite TRP stepping in."
She moved the tablet from one hand to the other "I'm more concerned than anything, It really did feel like something was wrong." she reassured,

"Oh no, that's fine, I'm not offended at all. I really wouldn't understand any of that stuff, sciences aren't my forte," she admitted with a small, sheepish smile. It was true, anyway, though it seemed if she side-stepped Faleen's questions about Galactic, she'd only ask more. If she suddenly refused to talk about the topic, however, well.. She didn't really want to raise suspicions that could be discussed with their co-workers. "Oh, yes," she said after a short, thoughtful pause, peering back up at the other agent as she spoke, still idly tapping the pen quietly. "Tethys is.. a rather unsavory woman. I can't help but think she would've preferred to kill us all given half a chance." Or at least her. But she didn't. Why didn't she? That question had been plaguing her ever since.

Faleen did feel relived when Clarie didn't take it the wrong way, the corners of her lips feathering softly.
"Its not for everyone." She admitted, with a gentle nod.
"She certainly gave that impression... though I can't say many of us felt any differently." She added with a deeper frown, that Tethys was certainly one of the more intimidating creature's Faleen has come across, and Claire seemed to have picked up on that very easily.
.... Faleen hesitated here, tilting her head a little, Tethys seemed to have singled out Claire... quite a few times. "Have you dealt with Team Galactic in past missions?"

"Mm," she hummed in agreement to both, watching her two pokemon for a moment, still tapping the pen lightly on the paper. The tapping suddenly and conspicuously stopped at Faleen's question though. s**t. "No," she admitted at length, the tapping starting again though she didn't raise her eyes to meet Faleen's just yet. "But it's not like they nor their behavior have been any secret since they showed up at the mission to capture Ho-oh." Nice save? She certainly hoped so.

Hazel eyes flicked down at the pen when it stopped before quickly returning back up the Claire, who wasn't looking at her.
She bowed her head slightly, with softly narrowing eyes, recalling that mission.
"Indeed... that was the first big time they interfered." She closed her eyes at this, letting out a soft sight.
"I hate to say its not likely to be the last either."
Opening her eyes again, letting a moment of silence fall, before she spoke again. "Lucas seemed to be very concerned about you when the Galactic were brought up. I wasn't sure if something had happened on a mission or something..." Though as Faleen had recalled, Claire hadn't been on any of the missions with Galactic.

"I don't think it will be either," she sighed, frowning slightly for more than one reason. Damn it, Lucas, why did he have to be so conspicuous? He probably couldn't have made it anymore obvious.
Her internal vexation remained out of her face, which remained neutral and expressionless. "Did he?" She said after a moment's pause, quickly trying to figure out some way to get out of answering directly, but she already had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach about where the conversation was headed. The pen tapping continued evenly. "I don't think so, no, but he gets worried about me quite easily." Which was probably true, like when she gave her hat and scarf to Zeus in the snow so he wouldn't be cold, and she was properly accosted by Lucas with his so she wouldn't get cold. That seemed so long ago now, actually...

Faleen knew of Lucas' secret, she had been the one to convince him to go to the Elite's with it after all. This wasn't something she shared with other people however, If he wished to tell people than so be it. She wasn't going to spread something like that around, it wasn't helpful in including Lucas into the team.
"its just... during the conversations... many of us were noticing that Tethy's seemed to single you out quite often, a few of us, myself included, were rather concerned about this... if your in trouble Claire... you know the team would want to have your back."

Claire merely blinked for a moment or two - nothing more than a natural blink, not out of nervousness or any other similar emotion - with her expression remaining neutral. There really was no way of getting out of this. In the silence, one knuckle cracked. "I see," she said at length, noticing that the pen tapping had stopped on its own once again, so she continued it again before speaking in what would seem to be a complete topic change. "What do you know about Lucas?" If he'd told her his secret about Galactic, then she would know exactly what she meant. She thought on this for a moment before adding, "I'm fairly certain that I know more about him than anyone else on base, so if he's told you anything, I already know about it. I'd like to know what he's told you."
Artemis stopped wrestling suddenly to lay on her stomach, peering up between the two humans. She could sense the sudden tense feelings flare up from at least one of them and wasn't sure what exactly was going on.

It was here that Faleen remained in a long silence, considering Claire's words, and carefully.
Lucas indeed told her something that she knows he probably hadn't told many other people.
Humming softly, thoughtfully, "There was something he's told me... though I'm not exactly at liberty to talk about it outside the Elite's office. Understand this is out of respect for Lucas."
Here she paused again "Perhaps if you talk to him, you can find out just what he told me himself,"
If indeed she was closed to Lucas, than this wouldn't be a problem. Though already Faleen was starting to get a bit of a hint.

She'd hoped trying to alleviate the fear that she wouldn't be giving away anything Claire didn't already know wasn't helpful in the least, and while this bothered her a bit there wasn't much to be done about it. Besides, Faleen had practically told her everything she needed to know anyway. "I already know what it is," she corrected her, her expression still neutral, "I was just trying to see if you knew as well. About his relationship to Galactic." She paused once more, trying to pick her words carefully as well as what to tell the other agent. "I assume that's what you mean about this secret of his, yes?"

She tilted her head a little, watching Claire, before she nodded, confirming Claire's suspicion.
"It is... I'm the one that convinced him to go to Elite Seth with it." She blinked once "Ah, he was Elite at the time, Executive Seth." She corrected herself.
It was time for Faleen to come up with her own logical conclusions "Am I right to assume than, that you have had a... relationship with Galactic in the past as well."
Her voiced was lowered, just enough so that it wasn't obvious what she would be saying if anyone deiced to pass by. but clear enough for Claire to hear well.

Her brows furrowed for a moment in thought before her expression cleared and she nodded. "I remember he told me about that, but I don't recall him mentioning your name. It was right after the volcano, wasn't it?" It was also the last time she'd seen Luke, and this realization caused a momentary furrowing of her brow again. It cleared once more when heard Faleen's question, though she didn't answer right away, preferring to study the other agent's face for a moment or two first. "Yes," she said with a small sigh of resignation, looking down at her papers for a moment before focusing on her co-worker once again. Her tone of voice was the same now as it was before, as if this were any other conversation, though it lowered a bit due to the nature of the topic. "Since Lucas trusted you enough to tell you, I can't see why I shouldn't, but yes. I was with them for several years while I lived in Sinnoh, and parted with them for the same reason Lucas did." If he'd mentioned that to her, she'd know, but if not, she wasn't about to mention it unless specifically asked. "Immediately after I went to Johto, completely changed myself, and joined Team Rocket. I explained everything to my superiors upon my recruitment. That information is in my file and should be available to any elites or higher ranks, and those are the only ones with access to that information." She paused for a moment, inclining her head a bit. "I trust you won't tell my secret either." After all, it had taken quite a bit of prodding for her to fully admit that she knew Lucas', which made her feel slightly more comfortable divulging her own.

Faleen listened in silence as Claire explained her own situation, her expression remaining patient, calm.
She did sigh softly. "So the Elite know." That would have been the first question she would have asked Claire, but from the sounds of it, Claire had made sure that the Rocket higher ups were aware of her former job with Galactic.
"I respect those on my team Claire" She answered. "So long as you are a Rocket, and you are loyal to the Rockets, I will not betray the trust that you have given to me." The blond Agent reassured, and she meant this, by the look on her face she meant it.
"... That means that Tethy's must have recognized you..." That... wasn't good. Faleen knew EXACTLY how Team Rocket treated traitors, Galactic didn't seem to be any less... understanding on that matter.

"They do," she affirmed with a nod, "and I believe that's why Elite TRP subtly intervened in the mines." She couldn't think of any other reason for it, anyway. The mention of loyalty caused her lips to twitch into a small smile, the first in quite a few minutes. "Thank you, I appreciate it. It's not exactly.. pleasant to have your loyalty questioned in an organization that deals with traitors as we do." Not pleasant in the slightest.
The mention of Tethys caused another furrowing of her brow, complete with a frown, but a thoughtful hesitation kept her from speaking for a few moments. "I'm.. not sure if she did recognize me," which had taken a lot of thinking, "because I'm almost positive that if she had, she wouldn't have hesitated to kill me in the mine. Anywhere in the mine." Probably wouldn't even have waited until they got out, just bam, dead. The thought made her shiver involuntarily. She bit her lower lip for a minute before adding, "and she would've done the same to Lucas, had he been there, except he didn't bother trying to hide himself. Not his name, his appearance, nothing, so it's far more likely he'd be recognized. Especially because he was an elite," she finished in a vaguely confused tone complete with a frown, toying with the pen in her hands. "I was just an agent. I changed my name, hair color - I even got colored contacts." And Lucas hadn't thought to do anything. Poor guy didn't have any foresight, it seemed, and it really worried her. Thankfully she did, and she only hoped it continued to work.

"I can't imagine it is" She agreed with Claire, Though from what Faleen has seen of the other Agent, she didn't seem untrustworthy, he had gotten hurt and done a lot of things for Team Rocket, enough so that she made up to Agent rank.
Faleen knew better than to completely trust someone however.
"Perhaps changing his identity now would be a good idea, if they would be that quick to kill you." she tilted her head, shifting her tablet up a little under her arm. "So you've become a whole new person, under a whole new organization, good foresight." That was probably what saved the Agent's life in the mines.
