Bach easily kept himself on the mares head, but when she requested a song, he flew off her head and looked ready to do as she requested. Unfortunately, his attention span wasn't the greatest and the sight of bright, red flowers caught his attention and he flew off to go feed.
Archi had to laugh at that, "I am sorry for him, bright colors seem to catch his eyes. He means no disrespect, I guess all humming birds are like that or maybe it is just Bach." he explained, watching the hummingbird flit around the flowers.

Ixkin couldn't help but laugh at Bach. "Oh that's alright, I like bright colors as well, i love seeing color everywhere, it warms my heart. That's why I feel so comfortable around you and Bach I guess. Color resembles life and laugh gives me hope." She smiled warmly at Archi and then at Bach even though he was more interested in the flower at the moment.
She looked around at the tree tops and then closed her eyes and concentrated on the sounds of the forest and animals within. "We need not worry about Bach singing, listen to the forest around you, it sings us it's song. It's beautiful and inspiring...calming and peaceful."

Arcangelo smiled gently at her and he started trotting around, and the sound of jingling bells filled the air around them. He wasn't just about making creative outlets with his paints. Bach, catching the sound of the bells, flew away from the flowers and started hovering around the stallion, the humming of his wings creating a little ditty with the jingling bells that covered the winged stallion.

Ixkin gave a genuine joyful laugh as Archi's bells added to the natural music of the forest and when Bach returned to his friend his wings added even more to the beautiful music. As she watched and listened she couldn't help herself to start swaying with the beat and soon she found herself flapping her wings slighty and then dancing lightly on her hooves.
She danced on the spot at first, but then started to move around, criss-crossing her hooves and stepping to left then right, in a up beat waltz as it were. She looked to the sun smiling down on them and she smiled right back. She felt free and happy like she used to be, it was a pleasant change that hopefully would stay.

He and Bach continued to play for a while longer before he finally came to a stop, and with a flap of his wings and shaking of his body, he came to a crescendo of a stop. Bach landed on his back and seemed to disappear behind the multitude of wings and Arcangelo folded his wings back down along his side, shaking his mane and tail.
"My, I haven't played like that in ever. Never had anyone to entertain before really. But creativity should never be just be about colors and appearances. I find music and sound to be another outlet I enjoy." he explained, digging at the ground with his hoof.

As the music stopped so did her dance, but her beaming smile remained. "That was very nice, I've not danced like that in a very long time, I used to always dance with my little brother, he was much better then me though. He would've liked you."
She smiled and laughed a bit as Bach seemingly disappeared behind Archi's wings, he was well camouflaged by his friend. She nodded in agreement to his comment on music. "I agree there are many creative outlets that lets ones imagination run wild. Im not much a painter or sculptor, and even if I've not the best dancer or singer I find that the best way to express myself when words fall short.

He nodded his head, agreeing with the notion where were always other ways to express your creativity. "May I ask where you come from? I've never really run into other Soquilis, much less others of my species." he finally asked, looking quite curious.

She smiled sweetly and looked towards the sun before she began speaking. "I dont know what we knew are land as, but I know it is far from here. We lived around the sun as she protected us and kept are hearts warm. It was a peaceful life. The grass meadows to the the mountains were always so lush and green, it was never cold. We were a small herd but a close one, all donning graceful and beautiful wings."
She looked to him and smiled, but her sadness began to show through her eyes. ".....but one day it all came crashing down, Mother Sun was lost from our sight by something dark. A battle broke out by these unwanted visitors, but I never saw what they looked like. My brother and I were urged to hide. My mother left me to protect him, but I lost sight of him and he he was gone.....I didn't come out until all was quiet. All I saw was death and destruction. My father lay by my mothers cold body dieing. It was then he gave me the dagger and instructed me to protect my brother. I searched among the bodies of my friends and family, but I never found him......"
A single tear fell from her eye as she looked to the ground. She still had hope her brother was out there somewhere, that he survived. There still more to her story, her strayed path of blood, but she did not wish for Arcangelo to see the monster she once was, he seemed too innocent to know of such things.

He grinned as she told him her story, feeling quite privileged she would divulge something so personal to him, especially since they were still so new to each other. But his grin slowly faded away when she spoke of darkness and the lose of her family.
He stepped closer at seeing the tear on her face and, extending a wing tip, gently brushed it away with the edge of his feather, "I am sorry, I did not mean to have you dredge up bad memories." he said softly.

She blushed slightly as he wiped the tear from her cheek and then she smiled again. "Do not worry, though some are bad memories there are many more good ones and they all help to define who I am today. When the dark memories surface I just keep hope and keep my faith that one day I'll find my brother and we'll be a family again."
She smiled again with a slight blush still playing on her cheeks. "Thank you Archi for being so kind and listening. Is it alright that I call you Archi, or would you prefer Arcangelo or something else?"

He blinked, not quite sure. He had always been called Arcangelo, but that was always by his parents. And Archi had a nice ring to it, it was short and yet he knew it was still his name. He grinned and nodded his head, "I like it, it has a nice ring to it. You are the first to give me a nickname!!"

She smiled and giggled a bit, happy he liked the nickname. "Im glad, but your parents didn't have a nickname for you? MY parents and friends always called me Ixy(Eeshy) your welcome to call me that or give me a new nickname." She continued to smile, she seemed to be doing that a lot and she had missed being this happy.

"Hmmm, I don't think they did, never saw a reason but to call me Arcangelo. But if you want me too, I shall call you Ixy!" he said, his grin even wider on his snout.

Ixy smiled and hoped a little in her happiness. "Im glad, it's natural for friends to give each other nicknames. I do hope you can see me as your friend. I've not had many other the years through my traveling and thus I sometimes am shy when meeting others as I've lived and been alone for so long." She dug at the ground a bit blushing a bit as she looked back up to Archi, hoping he'd accept her friendship.

"Of course I consider you a friend now! You will be my first friend!" he said with excitement. He winced when a received a sharp jab with a sharp beak and looked back to see Bach glaring at him in irritation, "I mean, you will be my second friend. Sorry Bach." he said, having the good grace to look sheepish.
