Freya's legs began to quiver as she strained her entire body to hold in her tears. She hadn't any memories of anyone but her sister, none that she could actually grasp onto and the thought of being away from Elda and talking to these strangers struck her with fear. "Please, my sister ..." Her voice suddenly fell silent, as if she was simply unable to talk any more. Soft squeaks came from her throat as she tried to speak but the dry air was getting to be too much to bear. But she must ... for her sister ... Freya shook her head and looked down with shame, tears falling down her face. She felt as though she had just failed her sister, that she was suddenly unable to protect her in the most important time of their lives.
Victon gracefully walked over to the delicate figure whom broke into tears before them. He recognized this feeling that grew inside him as he walked closer to her but wasn't fully able to place what the feeling exactly was. Lowering his head to look into her eyes, the god raised her head with a gentle touch on her chin with his paw, his mane flowing in the breeze brushing against the hot golden sand below their feet. "It's okay little one, you're in safe hands. Don't be afraid of us, we will bring you no harm." He assured her for it was apparent she was unsettled by their presence.
Shaking her head Freya's eyes shed even more tears, it was growing more and more difficult to hold them back. "No ..." she finally managed to squeak out, her head finally coming to a stand still. "My sister" she turned her head to look down into the cool darkness of the pyramid where her sister lay motionless on the hard ground. "Help me, please." Freya didn't know what else to say for she didn't exactly know what was truly wrong with her sister but she knew that they wouldn't be able to manage much further alone.
Victon's eyes broke his gaze and he looked back towards the black and white ulaya which had accompanied him on his journey to the desert. "She has a sister in the pyramid." He said to Tsu, knowing well that he didn't understand the language the fragile ulaya was speaking to them. He then immediately rose his body from the sand and helped the weeping girl to her own feet again. "We'll help you in any way we can, you're safe with us." He then aided her as they slowly walked down under the pyramid to where Elda lay still.

Quote: With time, Tsu followed the God up, and saw from the crack as they got closer and finally the figure came in to view. A fragile looking creature, an ulaya no doubt but had looked... Like a Goddess herself. Beautiful, he was in awe. He came up just enough to be behind the God before they started to speak- but he couldn't understand. He tilted his head, and then looked back at the god until he figured out what was happening. She was upset apparently, he tried to tune his ears in but with little understanding til the God spoke and his ears went up in attention.
"Shall I go-" But already Victon had entered. Tsu looked at the unknown ulaya, bowed his head. The feeling he got when next to her was overwhelming and a feeling of over powering which made him bow almost all the way to the floor. THEN. He got up finally and followed the God down in to the pyramid. The etchings on the walls, had them covered. Little to no light, except for their apparent bed at the bottom. When he looked down, his eye caught a purifying light and there... laid almost an exact replica of the ulaya he had just met but this feeling was different. It was over powering but gentle, and an uplifting feeling as though he were flying.
When he limped down inside, he stopped. Whispering gently. "If you put her on my back, I can carry her." He offered, well knowing that the God could probably take the two small girls on his back at once, while Tsu would only be able to carry one. Regardless- he was determined to help in any way. He stood there in waiting. Quote: Elda was one of the most precious beings to the kingdom. Where as her sister, though not blood had become the 'twin' icon. They needed 'twins' they needed to know that the Goddess of light could bring upon them luck and having twins was definitely a rare occurrence. So many titles these girls had, yet now that meant nothing. Everyone had been massacred. Her long pale hair circled around her fragile body. Her visions had been so strong to have been enough to cripple her. They had been asleep so long, suspended in time til now. Why now? Quote: They too had been suspended in time, but for some reason the curse had been lifted and their memories were suppressed. During the war, things had happened. Terrible things. Bathial had died during the war. Miracles were born, and to save the fate of the lion ulayas sins- in exchange for keeping the girls safe. She had once lived her life as an adult- before- mated to Gaz but with the miracle- they could only go back a certain time and pull her in as a child once more. A second chance at life- one more chance to make things right. They too had been encased, but were set free months prior to this moment. Enough time to remake their lives anew- without the attachments to the past. Until it was time...
It was morning and Bathial was found prancing around in the meadows in which Gaz had lead them to live in. As if nothing ever happened, they lived their lives freely and memory free of the torture that had happened in their past. Her hooves sinking in to the flowers as she pranced. Petals flowed around her, and around her neck was a fine ribbon that hung a bell that never rang no matter how hard she played. Gaz when asked believed it was broken, and Bathial lived by that- since she had been awakened.
They were carefree! She was a tiny kit. Wagging her fluffy tail. "Gaz! Gaz!" She squeeled happily. Having made friends and all kinds of ulayas had befriended them. As she trotted towards him with a bunch of flowers in maw...Until That faithful moment.
Her bell started to ring... Her body became heavy and stiff... The bell sounded so loudly that it had shaken throughout her body- her eyes shot open and mouth opened to let the flowers fall... and she too fell.. gracefully as if it took away all her life source to ring it. A moment passed then the bell had rung again- and the sound wave flattened the flowers around Bathl's body with about 5 feet in radius. It had rung as soon as the twins had awakened... It was time......

Quote: Victon pressed his nose to the forehead of Elda, her lifeless body laying still as possible. He wanted to make sure she was still alive before worrying about anything else but the thought of telling the fragile ulaya who brought them in here that her sister was gone lingered in the back of his mind. Releasing a soft breath his nose touched the fur of the slumbering ulaya and to his relief her body was nice and warm, just as it should be. Letting a sigh escape his maw the god lifted his head and looked down at Freya who sat beside him, watching with fear. She didn't know what to expect from the strangers and was slowly getting second thoughts about inviting them down to the temple which lay beneath the pyramid.
"She'll be alright." Victon assured the worried girl as he raised his paw and turned Elda's head to face them, Her breath was slow but steady, which allowed him to see she wasn't really in any danger for her health. "What happened to her exactly?" He placed his paw back on the ground gently and continued to watch Elda as she slept.
Looking around the room through the darkness which filled the space around them, Victon admired the scriptures and etchings on the walls. He had been to this city many years ago before when it was still alive and thriving. Back then it was being ruled by a gentle and beloved queen and her king. Together they we adored by all and reigned a wealthy kingdom, but not only wealthy in a treasure sense but in a very successful manor.
He began to remember the time he came to visit the city during the great week of celebration. Oh how wonderful the place looked, laced in gold and more sunshine than anyone could ever ask for on such a wonderful time. Victon tilted his head in reaction to his thoughts. 'But what was the celebration all about again?' He laughed in his mind that he must have had such a great time because he couldn't even remember what it was all about.
Quote: Freya released a sigh of relief when the enormous god told her Elda would be alright. She lay her own body down and rested her chin beside her sister's head. "You're safe now." she whispered into the ulaya's ear as she put her nose into her sister's hair. She was so relaxed in the company of Elda and could happily fall asleep at this moment just knowing her sister wasn't in danger. She lifted her head back up to look at Victon as she heard his voice and shrugged a little. "I don't know what happened. She just suddenly ... fell ... " She traced her mind to try to remember anything she might be missing but she was just too worried to thin about it again. It was painful to watch the first time and she didn't want to have to see it over and over again in her own mind.
Watching the god as he surveyed the room, Freya began to loose herself in thought, Why were they in the room to begin with? The world just seemed all too new and she couldn't figure out why. Turning her attention back down she watched her sister sleep, her own breath matching Elda's as she closed her eyes and listened to the silence around them. A breeze blew past the entrance sending a small bit of wind into the room as it flowed around kicking up dirt which rested on the ground for many years,
The silence was suddenly broken by the words of the smaller male ulaya which continued to stand near the door way. Lifting her head up once again, Freya turned to look at the male as he spoke, his words echoing in her mind. Carry her? Where were they going? She knew, deep in the back if her mind that they couldn't stay here forever but the thought of taking Elda outside into the unknown world struck Freya and her heart jumped into her throat. She longed to tell them to go away now. She wanted nothing more but to tell them they would be okay, to say they don't need their help anymore but she knew that would be a lie. She made a vow to protect her sister and in doing this she must sacrifice her own comfort for the safety of Elda. Trying to calm her own breath down after the increase of heart rate, Freya closed her eyes and gave a slight nod. If leaving was the only way to protect Elda then leave they must do, even if it was one of the hardest things for her to do right now.
Quote: Gazardiel lay on the soft grass of the pasture hill top watching Bal as she pranced around in the playful manor as she always did. Paradise. Stretching out his large wings, Gaz flapped them slightly before placing them back against his muscular body. Giving his mane a shake to settle the hair into it's normal resting place he lifted his body and stretched his paws out in front of him as he released a large yawn. It was so peaceful these days he finally got to spend with Bal. His mind was full of their history and as much as he tried to forget it he will always remember the shame and disgrace he felt when he betrayed the only one he had ever loved. Closing his eyes tightly he shook the memories out of his mind once again and then sighed. Opening his eyes up again his gaze fixed on the fluffy figure as she pranced about, her hooves kicking up dirt as she bounded. He was thankful the gods had pity on them and that he was able to spend these days with her once again and vowed that they would never have to leave this life for as long as he was here to protect her.
Taking a couple steps towards Balthial he suddenly stopped his paws and looked around the field as the sounds of a bell ringing echoed a crossed the grass. Turing his ears back and around to figure out where the sound was coming from, the ring was so loud it continued to echo in his ears long after it was done. Gaz looked down at Bal as she shared a look back towards him and he suddenly knew what had happened. Many years ago a white figure bestowed the enchanted bell to Bal as a gift and told Gaz that one day it will ring and when that time comes they will have to embark on a great journey. Unsure of where they were to go or even why, Gaz didn't question the gift from a goddess and accepted her words as a blessing. Today was the day they must keep their promise to her and leave their safe haven they have called home for so long.
