Ainsley barely had time to keep up with Istas when she went off running again, greeting everyone who came in. She tried to follow her but her eyes fell on Ridley and Sam. Ainsley knew Sam would be there, having practically ran away from him when the car stopped, but she hadn't expected to see Ridley here. It was a pleasant surprise though and when she complimented her outfit? She beamed.
"Thank you," she said to Ridley politely. "You too!" She said, mistaking her for a cat as well instead of the raccoon she was.
Then she heard Istas nearly scream. What was that? Someone had made it? She turned her head to see what all the commotion was about, realizing that Istas had been talking to a cat. Istas spoke to cats too? Wait, *********? No, that wasn't a ********* at all! That was Santa Cat! What was Santa Cat doing here!
"Santa Cat?!" She child couldn't help but announcing out loud as she kneeled down to get a better look once Istas put her onto the ground. The first thing she looked to check was to see if the cat had a tail and right away she was able to see the little manx didn't have one. Then it was the star on her forehead and the bell around her neck. It was Santa Cat! It was definitely Santa Cat!
"Not a *********! That's the same Santa Cat I tucked into my bed in December! I wonder what she's doing here," she wondered.
"I was sad when you left," she whispered specifically to *********. "I'm glad you're okay."

-Addressed by the birthday girl, who looked absolutely adorable, Aurora offered a bit of a half curtsy to Istas.- "Thank you, you look absolutely precious!" -They all did really, her eyes travelling over all the little 'animals' even as they seemed more interested in something far away from the adults. Chilaili's comment drew Aurora's attention back to the adults however, smiling a bit sheepishly.- "You caught me. I just added a few little extras to one of my dancing outfits" -Aurora could sew, but it was more along the lines of repair or beautifying things, not making this from scratch. She seemed pleased however with the kind words, and looked all the more delighted when another person seemingly her age appeared.-

Krookadile.. Ridley knew this, she knew she knew this. Her face scrunched in thought, trying to recall where she had heard that term before. And like a lightbulb had appeared over her head, her features also lit up as she pointed enthusiastically at Sam. "AA! You're a Pokemon!" She had been tied to her DSi for days because of that game, it should have been remembered sooner but probably since she didn't tend to use that particular creature it took her longer than expected.
Her attention would have been shifted to replying to Ainsley or even addressing Aurora and Adira - whom she didn't know yet - but Istas' mentioning of a particular name stole that attention right away. "********* here?" There were sparkles in her eyes, just as when the little girl had met the cat and she scampered over to where the birthday girl, Sam and Ainsley were now crowded.
Sure enough, there was the little manx cat with the unique star on her head. "HI *********!" Ridley squealed, kneeling herself aside the two girls, boy and the cat. "It's so awesome you came to the party!" She extended her hand to the little cat, brushing her fingers through the fur at the top of her head before circling it around to rub at those little ears.
"Nothing beats glue and safety pins," Monica grinned to Aurora. She herself had learned the fine art of sewing because of her children, but nothing beat those simple cheats. "You did a wonderful job with your outfit, very nice." She offered her compliments.

********* had trained these children well enough. She leaned into the petting fingers of Sam for a brief moment, letting him know she appreciated the scratches with a purring sound. She continued to move along, since there were many to greet, not just one child. The next one to claim her was Istas, who gave the manx such a splendid greeting. There was no resistance as she was picked up and stuffed into her tanned arms for some well deserved hugging action. Some cats might have bristled a bit at such affection, but ********* thrived off of it. She purred even louder, eyes closing contently as she shoved her face against the child's body, rubbing her cheek every which way she could before being set on the ground again.
The mention of Santa Cat, however, did manage to get a slight reaction from the spotted manx. ********* tilted her head curiously at the child who had labeled her such. Yes, the child was familiar. She had been the one kind enough to give her a really good meal and napping spot. However, there was something different this time. The last time, the child only made her brain itch in a lazy manner. Now, the feline could fully sense what she was. Sailor Hypnos? Hmmm... how did that one slip under my radar? It was a question to ponder later. For now, all the cat had to do was inform the child something. When the girl leaned in close enough to whisper to her, the cat whispered right back "I am glad you are too, but they are right." Santa Cat just seemed to make ********* think of herself as a fat, old man cat rather than what she actually was.
It was when Ridley finally addressed her that ********* seemed to beam the most. Ridley, after all, was one of her girls. Even if the guardian had only known the child for a short amount of time, she was still extremely proud of her girls. The child leaned towards her, and for a moment, ********* cheeks rubbed all up against her little hand. However, she then did something she had not done for the other children. Rather suddenly, she popped up off the ground (surprisingly high for such a small cat) and onto the orange-haired girl's shoulder. Ah, one of the advantages of having one of her senshi here. She had perching rights.

While Istas was engrossed in the fact that ********* was here, she paused when she saw Adira and after sitting the manx down she gave a wave, "HI Adira! I like your dress!" She smiled, and giggled, when she heard the question, even though she knew it was meant for the adults she still chimed, "Yup! It's my birthday party!" The child was practically beaming.
There seemed to be a few other older people coming in as well, dragged in by their kid sister or brother. There was one kid that was wearing a giraffe suit that looked a lot like footie pajama's too. Apparently Sam wasn't alone. Istas looked at Ridley obviously she looked a little confused, "Krookadile is a pokemon? I thought Pikachu was a pokemon."
Istas paused at Ainsley, "No her name's *********." She said after the other three seemed to know her too, "You both know her?" Looking at ********* suspiciously and then to the other two, she didn't say anything but it seemed the child wanted to ask more. In this crowd it'd be silly though. She greeted other kids as they entered and spoke to her, and looked around. "There's a lot of people here." She said, perhaps half of her Classmates were here, there was a handful of kids that were Sam's age that came because their sibbling was in the same grade as Istas and some there were the age of Aurora and Adira.
She watched as ********* jumped onto Ridley's shoulder, "Wow, I didn't know you could jump that high!" She paused and glanced back at her parents. "I should pester them to let us go see the animals." She smiled back at the small group she'd kept close to, even though she chatted and greeted other guests.
Chi watched the people come in, taking presents and placing them on the gift table. She smiled at Adira, "Nice to meet you." She beamed, obviously not questioning how Istas knew any of them. It wasn't in her nature to question such things knowing her little girl and the habits of making friends she had. "I'm glad you could make it. I'm sure Istas is absolutely thrilled. I'm Chilaili, Istas' mother by the way, and this is my husband Lorenzo."
She paused peeking around the older girls over at the kids, who seemed to be so interested in something, eventually she caught the sight of a cat. Chi shook her head with a laugh, "It seems she's even made friends with a cat." It wasn't unexpected really, Istas always did seem to enjoy animals.
Lorenzo smiled and welcome Adira as well, pausing for a second. Hadn't he seen her somewhere before? When Istas called her name it made him that much more curious, "Miss, I hate to ask, but your father wouldn't be Jason Perses would he?"
After Chi had watched the kids long enough to be sure the cat wasn't going to hurt any of them she smiled back at Aurora, "Nothing wrong with that." She gave a soft nod, "Why I remember one year when I was going to school we had this spirit day that we were suppose to dress up like some our relatives had, I ended up taking a bunch of feathers I had lying around from a craft project and making a headdress from it, felt and duct tape because my parents didn't have time to find a real outfit."

"Valuable tips of the trade" -She regarded pleasantly to Monica and Chilaili's words with a soft laugh. Anyone who knew Aurora knew that one day she hoped be drowning in babies of her own, employing such tips for school plays and simple clothing fixes. Though it probably looked bizarre she found herself suddenly attracted to the talk of the adults. At almost 18 any day really this could become her new crowd.. well.. minus the whole.. lacking the other half of making a family, but that was beyond the point!
Polaris, and therefore Aurora, had yet to meet *********, so the unique cat didn't really draw her attention, and she was far enough away that the telltale star mark on her head wasn't quite apparent yet. If she had noticed.. and noticed how intently the children were talking to her some questions might have been asked.. Aurora was after all a fairly smart cookie. But she hadn't noticed, her eyes instead on the decorations and food.-
"Did you set up and make this all yourself" -She asked Istas' mother politely.- "Or did the staff here help you? The zoo certainly is an exciting place for a party."

"Hmm. Yup. A pokemon." Sam gave Ridley a feeble smile for knowing correctly what he was, although he sighed at Istas for lacking so much knowledge. "There's lots of Pokemon, silly."
The more children that were floating in the happier Sam got. He didn't feel like such a loser with other footy-pajama kids around, and boys too! Out of the corner of his eye he spied his own classmate, Max, dressed up as a Koala bear. At least, Sam thought he was a Koala, it was hard to tell with the strange grey fur collar he had. Turning he gave a wave to his friend.
Then he spied the adults and teenagers, including Adira. Sam smiled a little bit wider. Though he had only met her once before, he couldn't help but have an affinity for the older girl. Who wouldn't, when the girl had taken him to space? Sam was happy to have another adventure with her, even if it was at the boring old zoo. Leaving the group, he wandered away from his peers and *********, to Adira, and attempted to sneak up on her.

Ridley giggled when ********* decided that her shoulder would be the most ideal of perches. Sure she wasn't aware that her being one of the asteroids had this sort of benefit, she would obviously see it as one, but it wasn't like she minded one bit. "Hold on *********, I'm getting up," she explained, snaking a hand around almost awkwardly onto ********* side as she got up from the ground. Best not to let her little friend fall off after getting on, right?
"Well, of course she could jump high and all ~ she is a cat." She smiled to Istas. Cats could always jump really well, well most of them. Priss had some problems but thats 'cause she was a little tubby - which also helped for Ridley in this case. Being able to hold her Maine Coon obviously allowed her to be able to handle the weight of *********, even if ********* seemed to be a bottomless pit sometimes.
"But," she had to wonder, "will they let ********* in when we see the animals?"
As a little more mass of people began to collect around the tables and area, Monica had found a familiar face in the crowd of parents that had gathered. One of the parents that she had been acquainted with through her sons had appeared with their own younger child and it all in all lead to the chance to catch up. There was idle talk as Monica got herself a small cup of punch and continued the chit chat.
It was key phrases and words that triggered the dark haired mother to turn, "Wait, sorry Shelby," had she heard that word right? Cat? Cats and Ridley always spelled trouble and she couldn't help but scan the area for her daughter to make sure she hadn't wandered off in search of some feline. Thankfully she hadn't gotten too far but the added accessory that now adorned her daughter's shoulder was unmistakable. "Oh, goodness I hope it doesn't have fleas or anything," she mumbled before cupping the side of her mouth for better volume.
"Ridley! You don't get to keep that cat!" She had enough experience that there was no way to tear her away from the cat for now but it wasn't coming home. "Neither are the big ones inside!" Monica added.
"Sorry, she still has that hoarding thing with cats even after all these years." The mother had to explain. Shelby simply laughed.
Back at Ridley, a very audible 'aaaaw' was sighed in defeat.

"Hi Istas!" Adira smiled down at the adorable little girl. "I like your outfit too." She really did seem in her element in this sort of situation, surrounded by peers her age and at the zoo. It was really charming to see really, such a stark contrast from when she'd met her before. Bright blue eyes snapped off to the side when she heard someone say '*********' however. So it seemed the the manx had also shown up to the party... Adira still was a bit upset at the cat for having awoken so many children, but this was hardly the time or the place to talk ethics. With a cat.
She was pulled out of her revelry by the question that Istas father asked. Adira just about beamed. Her pride always swelled a bit when she was recognized by others, particularly in connection with her Father. "Yes, I'm Adira Perses, Jason's only daughter. Its a pleasure to meet both you and your wife." It seemed even at a children's party her manners kicked in.
So wrapped up in being proud of the recognition, Adira didn't even begin to notice Sam sneaking up on her. He probably would realize from her position that she was totally open for sneak attacks.

Sam was acting just like the animal he was dressed up as. He stalked his prey. Slowly moving, he weaved through the crowd until he came up just behind Adira. Then , lightening fast, Sam jumped. His arms snapped together around her, shutting tight like an animal’s jaw. “Adira!”
Sam was surprised to see her here. It seemed like Istas knew more people than he had expected. It was a pleasant surprise. Sam hadn’t seen Adira since he had met her and accompanied her to space. Letting go of her, Sam stayed close. “You’re my zoo buddy!” There was no question it was automatically decided. If they could explore space together, they could explore the zoo together.

Chilaili smiled at Aurora's words, "Oh, I did most of it, there was some help. No thanks to Lorenzo." She glanced at her husband who was still finding ways to talk about work. Rolling her eyes and gave a small shake of her head.
She smiled over to Adira, "Nice to meet you Adira, I've heard a good deal about your family from my husband." Indeed she had, she heard about all his clients and those that weren't clients but he'd hoped one day he was able to provide his skills to. Chi heard Monica's "The cat has a collar dear, I'm sure she doesn't have fleas." Which also meant the cat had an owner.
Lorenzo looked at Chi, "Oh come on snowbird, I did help, I carried the cake." He pointed at the cake box that looked several feet tall. They were going to have cake coming out of their ears he feared. He then shot Adira a smile, "It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He gave a soft nod of the head, "If you ever need anything please let me know." He fished out a business card, "Anyone that Istas is able to make friends with is a friend of mine."
Chi stared, "Lorenzo, really? You brought those..." She sighed and shook her head, "I apologize for my husband, he's a little over zealous sometimes. He forgets that some things need to stay out of birthday parties." She slipped over and pulled his phone away from him when she saw Istas approaching.
Istas watched as Sam sneaked up on giggling, she let him tackle Adira before she waltzed up to her parents. "Can we go see the animals now? I think everyone's here." The child beamed up towards her parents and everyone else. "Pleeeaseeeee~"
There was a large smile on her face and those cute eyes of doom. Lorenzo frowned as he saw his daughter pulling out the eyes, "We do get to go right?" Istas added, obviously thinking it'd be ashame to waste a trip to the zoo by not seeing the animals.
Lorenzo seemed to ponder. "Do you have a tour guide yet snow rabbit?" He asked teasingly, as he leaned over the table a bit, "We couldn't let go alone you know, seeing the animals is better when you have safari buddies and a tour guide."
Chi shook her head with a chuckle, "We should get the kids teamed up, so they can go." However she frowned, "Though I know at least I'll have to stay behind and watch the party area, so nothing happens."
Lorenzo pondered, "Do I really have to stay and do anything, I could take the kids unless the girls wanted to..." He looked at Adira and Aurora with a smile, "If they think they could handle a small group." Some of the other parents had already decided on who they were taking with them. "Istas might want to take her small group that's around the cat with her." He added, "What's that, five kids total?" He was counting the cat, so he gave a small cough and added, "That includes the cat." He looked at Sam.
If the girls agree they could break off and go take the kids, if not Lorenzo certainly would, he didn't mind herding cats.
Istas frowned slightly as they decided what to do, eventually it was decided and the small troop, plus ********* was off to see the animals, and get in trouble. All in all the party was a big success if anyone was to ask Chi or Lorenzo because the kids had fun and that was all that mattered.
((Technically finished, but leaving it so Iris and Zomi can post responses if they want to taking the kids to see the animals. =3 ))

The tight lock of small arms around her waist had not gone unnoticed, and with quite a great deal of surprise she spun to find Sam hovering at her side. "Hey there Sam." The girl ruffled the boys dark hair, being careful of his costume. "You got me pretty good little crocodile."
Turning her attention momentarily back to Istas parents, Adira accepted the business card with a nod, tucking at away into her purse. "I certainly will keep it in mind." At his wifes apology, she shook her head. "Its not a big deal at all, I love meeting people who know my Father."
And apparently just as she had been tackled, she'd also been captured by Sam. His zoo buddy? Adira laughed and nodded. "Alright then zoo buddy." The request to take the children was a little bit of a shock to her, since Adira had only had limited interaction with children. Sure, she liked them, but did she want to chaperon them for an afternoon? Maybe she could add 'zoo kids workshop leader' to her college application or something. "I would be fine with escorting the kids around the Zoo if you two would rather stay here." She smiled. If any of them got particularly rowdy or ran away, she could just transform and find them quicker that way, probably with the help of *********. Adira could manage. Sticking out a hand to Sam, the girl smiled. "Ready to go exploring?" It was a phrase he would probably get, their little secret.

She admired the decorations and spread again as Istas' mother answered, nodding in soft admiration. She'd done a lovely job.
When the suggestion rose Aurora was happy to oblige. "Oh I'm sure the two of us will be able to handle it just fine." She agreed before heading over to join Adira and the children. She offered her hands for anyone that might have wanted to take them, but otherwise let herself fall behind. It was almost a certainty they'd be excited enough to practically drag their two chaperones around the zoo at a full kiddy run.
