Lily grinned and nodded, it made since. She knew her parents mostly wanted her to focus on university, so they were more than likely to pay for where she wanted to live, but Jaimie was right, she didn't want people taking things for granted or taking advantage.

"Split it then, for though. I mean other's like us aren't likely to take many things for granted. Most are happy just to keep ... you know breathing," she said the last part a whisper. The waitress had moved away, but it was better safe then sorry.

She picked up a fry happy that it looked delicious and took a bite. Jaimie was right the fry was good and not overly greasy, like so fries she'd had in the past. She finished off the fry before looking to Jaimie and almost laughing at the salt and ketchup thing.

"Any of the places really catch your eye? Any you are thinking about visiting," she asked.

"Yeah, but still..." Jaimie shrugged, dipping a fry into the ketchup and eating it with another deep, pleased sigh. "Goddamn. I forgot how hungry I was." He admitted, immediately reaching for another as he lightly salted the burger and put the top bun on with his free hand. "I love this place. No one ever thinks to come here because it's a diner and everyone assumes it's a dive but they're freaking godly."

He ate another fry and then a bite of burger, gesturing vaguely at the air to indicate a request for patience please in awaiting a response as he chewed and swallowed.

"MM. That's good. Uh, yeah, there's a couple places I'm considering, and I think they had some openings in the place Xai lives, but..." he trailed off. "Don't want to be an awkward neighbor."

Lily grinned, "It is nice," she said before taking a bit of her chicken burger. The chicken was grilled and came with provolone, lettuce and tomato, so Lily was happy. It was delicious and she'd managed to expand her restaurant horizons because little did Jaimie know she would probably never have eaten here ever.

Lily nodded when he said he had a couple of spaces in mind, but then frown and giving him a confused look about being the awkward neighbor. She did not understand that statement at all.

"Why did you to have a fight or something," she asked curiosity blossoming, but then she shook her head, " then again you do not have to tell me. I am out of the loop with most things for the obvious reasons, even with my cousin." The last part was said softly, it was obvious that sore spot was the thing she regretted most about her decision and yet she stuck to it, wondering now if it was really worth it. For a time she had been quickly becoming a better senshi, but now, now was something else entirely.

The first instinct that jumped to mind was a round of I told you so, but maybe it was just that he was a bit more mature now... it just didn't seem fair.

"...I broke up with Tallulah." He explained instead, deciding it might be best to continue avoiding any discussion of the BMC. BMC, he recalled, had no exit clause.

"I haven't talked to Bell or Xai yet, but since she was pretty good friends with your cousin I gotta figure she's already talked to them and I don't want to deal with the fall out."

It was a breakup, which he assumed obviously meant fall out. Fall out from breakouts just... happened. It was a fact of life.

Lily made an oh face and nodded, she understood his not wanting trouble, it was why she mostly hadn't sought out any of the team. They were angry she knew that, so she left it alone.

"I'm sorry to hear that. You okay," she asked knowing he probably was, but figuring she should ask anyway. That just what you asked when someone had a breakup for what ever reason.

"Things are too strained with the team are they, well not that anyone really patrols together anyway, but you get my point," she said taking a bite of her burger before she managed to say something more stupid, more insulting.

"Not really much -team- left." He offered. I think everyone's just kinda drifting apart." The team lacked the strong core required to stick together, and people had just sort of quietly drifted. He couldn't remember the last time they'd had a team meeting. Weather or not it was technically anyone's fault was a pointless discussion, but the fact was that the Basterds were pretty much unofficially dissolved. Not that his first 'team' had ever really had an official disbanding, such things just seemed to happen. They definitely weren't the strong organized force that the Negaverse had. The BMC was... but hell if he'd ever consider joining them

"Yeah I'm fine, I'm disappointed, but I'm fine. It's for the best I think, but that doesn't necessarily mean either of us were really happy about it."

Lily was quiet now, but nodded at Jaimie anyway, "Glad to know that you are okay. I wouldn't know, but breakup never look to be an easy endeavor."

Lily frowned feeling like it was her fault that the team had fallen apart. She wasn't the first to leave Castor was, but still, she couldn't help but to blame herself. "I'm sorry," she said picking at her fries and looking across the diner at family that had just entered with a rather excited pair of twins. She smiled at them. "It sad to know the team fell apart, it was made up of such great senshi, but I don't know it just felt so easy to left out or lost. I feel like it was my fault. Am I being silly? I probably am."

She munched on the fry she had been picking with and munching on it, "Anyway, you should talk to them. If the others are really your friends, than they will understand even if things are rocky at first."

"I don't think it was anyone's fault, really." Jaimie offered up. "It was just one of those things. Everyone's lives are changing, and schedules just don't match up. We'll all work something out." He promised.

"I'll talk to them eventually I'm just not sure I'm ready for it right that second. You know?"

He paused to glance at the twins, his expression a little whistful. He hadn't talked to his own twin for a while, and he still kind of regretted that, even if their last fights had been pretty ugly.

Lily smiled and took another bite to finish off her burger and pushed the rest of her fries away. It was good and filling, but they served more food than she could eat. She picked up the prints-outs and started sifting through them until she found Xai's place and put it on top of Jaimie's pile with a smile.

"Trust me, I understand, but just in case," she said referring to the print out.

She took a quick sip of her drink and look around the diner again before turning back to Jaimie, "now on to less depressing conversation. If I threw a graduation party, would you come and bring folks?"
PostPosted: Tue May 10, 2011 6:15 am

"That..." He started then trailed off in consideration, trying to flip through a mental day-planner. "That I don't have a ready answer for." He admitted. "I've got a lot of stuff to get done by, or soon after Graduation and I'm not sure I'm going to have a lot of time for parties."

Secondarily he knew mostly Senshi at this point, and he wasn't entirely sure many of them would come to the party. Too many strong feelings about Blood Moon, and since Maia had been so involved with them lately, and not most of her older friends... he really had to assume the place would be dominated by Blood Moon Senshi.

He'd made a pretty impressive dent on his own meal as they talked, able to put away more than the slighter female senshi. Besides which he had started hungry, which made him more inclined to eat until he was about ready to burst.

Lily nodded, "just let me know. I imagine it will be mostly a Meadowview thing, as I do not know many students from the others schools, but I guess there could possible be a few there. I mean I am thinking about renting out a room at the community center or having it at the pool. Should be warm enough by then."

She sighed leaning back and enjoying the chatter of the restaurant floating about her ears, she tried not to think about how these moments seemed to be getting fewer and further between. Twice in the past couple months, and both recent.

She looked at the pile of print outs she had plunked for herself and was satisfied with the amount, but picked up the strays once more and leafed through them to make sure she had not missed a good one while Jaimie finished his meal. She managed to pluck out two more that she did not specify for pets or not and marked call for information at the top.

Looking to Jaimie she smiled, "I think these all," she said motioning to the piles, " are a very good start. I think I will start visiting as soon as possible. I can send you texts and pictures of the really good one, since I'm going to snatch of these print outs. What do you think?"
PostPosted: Wed May 11, 2011 5:52 am

"Mostly Meadowview huh? Which makes me what? The bad-boy for flavor?" He grinned at his own joke as he picked up, examined, folded and pocketed the listing to the building where Xai lived. "If I did show up would I be expected to come with a black leather jacket and a big motorcycle? Maybe some chains and tattoos?"

True he'd be graduating from Hillworth, but the reputation of the school, and for good reason, was going to be harder to get off than trying to scrape someone's gum off his shoes.

"And yeah that sounds good. I think you'll do fine, finding a place."

Lily laughed at his joke and shook her head a smile on her face, "What no of course not," she said laughing, "I think that would be met with disaster. I do not think the Meadowview guys would appreciate you stealing all the girl's attention. I swear I will never understand the bad boy appeal."

She pulled her print outs to her with a grin and nodded, "Thanks for the help Jaimie, you are such a good friend."

She grinned as the waitress approached spouting that she was so excited. She turned the the waitress as she approached and asked for the bill. They both seemed to be done and she doubted they had any room, for dessert but she did look to Jaimie to confirm.

"I think we have pretty much got everything together. We should probably. I will send you picture text after I look at the each decent place."

The waitress came with the bill, lunch was paid for and the little get together was ended.
