"Very well, Sensei." Kyoshi said with a bow of a nod, standing up, bowing again, and then leaving silently.
But what she told him made no sense? Why would they kill those under their control? Their protection? Intimidation? Or was it simple looting, simple target practice?
He didn't know, but it distressed him. No ninja, no shinobi should kill innocents, and he had a feeling they had done that over and over again. It was a dreadful thing to think about.
He found himself, after this, mentally exhausted. He decided it would be best to rest until midday tomorrow, then gather his things, perhaps request some tools from the Sensei, and then leave at her set time.
So many things to do... he returned to his hut, entered the small, squat building and plopped down on his bed, asleep shortly after.

Nikama stayed up a little while after Kyoshi had left, drinking her tea untill she felt relaxed enough to try sleep again. A good shinobi, the elder japanese woman just hoped he was up to the task.
She had asked the opinion of her Master ninja Chi a couple of days ago, and he had said the young boy had talent, and was trained well. Murasami hoped for his sake that Chi was right.
As she lay down on her sleeping mat once more, she could only think of one thing. If the Kage clan become indangered by the Oni clan, they would need every ounce of skill they possessed to defeat them. And yes, if forced to, she would take up her blade once again. With that uncomforting thought, the sensei fell asleep, troubled dreams of slaughter and rain haunting her.
