Once the food arrived, Blade looked at the stuff eagerly as it was set out before them. It looked and smelled excellent and the taste lived up to it as well once he took a bite.
"Oh wow, this is really good," he added as he began to eat away at his quesadilla, "Excellent choice of place."
Grinning a bit as he said that, he continued with his meal. The thief glanced over at the girls briefly to see how they were faring and it seemed they were enjoying what they had as well. He would have to keep this place in mind for the future for sure.
"I take it you're enjoying yours?"

"Mmm, its like an orgasm in my mouth." Nyx laughed before stuffing another bite of food in her mouth. She liked food, a lot of food. Often she burned a lot of calories and considering how she planned things to go for this evening, she was going to need all the calories she could get.
"Mine's pretty good. I don't think I can eat it all." Mitsu said. In fact she was already slowing down after just a couple of bites. But what Nyx said, it brought a twinge of pink to Mitsu's cheeks. Did the girl always have to say stuff that was so embarrassing?
"I'll eat what you don't finish, Powderpuff." Nyx offered with a smile. "I'd never pass up an opportunity for more food." At least she could admit she was a glutton.

This girl could definitely pack away the food. This was even more apparent when Nyx offered to eat whatever Mitsu couldn't finish. The portions for these things weren't exactly small either.
"You must have a really high metabolism or something," blinked Blade as he chowed away at his own stuff. For a glutton she was pretty slim. After eating a little more, he was slowing down as well. As tasty as this food was, his appetite just wasn't with him right now. The stress from that day's experiments sort of killed it.
"Man, I don't think I can finish this either..." He said a little sadly.

"I move around quite a bit," Nyx agreed. Though when Blade mentioned he wasn't going to be able to finish his meal either Nyx casually reached over for a piece of his quesadilla. She moved slowly encase he actually said anything about it but she had full intentions of eating whatever was left on the table.
"These fry things," Mitsu had ventured away from her soup to pick up the round batter fried potatoes not sure where to begin. "They are so big." Finally she settled on putting it on a small plate and cut into it with her spoon to have a bite. The center was filled with cheese which came pouring out as soon as the potato was cut. It looked good...but it was just so much.

The fry things were rather delicious as well, as Blade snagged one to give it a shot. He didn't do anything about Nyx reaching for his food. If she really wanted to chow everything down, he wasn't going to stop her. At least the food wouldn't be going to waste, though he would have just packed up the remainders anyway.
Once their meal was done, he let out a satisfied sigh while leaning back in the booth. The plates were remarkably spotless he noticed, but he didn't really think much on it.
"Whew. That was good stuff. You guys ready to head on out?" he asked as the check was placed down on the table. The thief started shuffling through his wallet to put down what he owed.

"Good eats," Nyx smiled rather satisfied, despite having eaten a meal for three people on her own. It was amazing how it didn't make her completely miserable but she acted no different than before.
"Yeah, I'm ready," Mitsu nodded grabbing for her wallet as well so she could place down some cash for the meal.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I got it." Nyx said reaching into her pocket and placing down enough money to cover the bill and give a nice sized tip to their waiter. "Come on, we should hurry so we can miss the lines."
Nyx tried to hustle the two out the door before there was time to really put up any objections. She was ready to get to this carnival, though she was starting to get a little anxious about tonight. Her plans kept surfacing in her mind and she couldn't help but glance at Mitsu now and again.
"So what do you guys want to do first? Play some booth games or ride some rides?" Nyx asked as she headed down the street toward their destination. It was easy to hear the sounds of the carnival not far away. The rushing of the rides, screaming laughter of children, the musical noise from the game booths. Even the smells of funnel cake and cotton candy were rather prominent from here.
"Maybe...rides could wait for a bit," Mitsu suggested resting a hand on her full stomach. While she hadn't eaten much she didn't want to part ways with what she had managed to down.

"Oh sweet, thanks," Blade said while stuffing his wallet back into pocket. He wasn't going to pass up a free meal. Getting up, he followed the others towards the Carnival with them.
"Yeah, we might want to hold off on the rides for now," he added. After eating that much, he didn't think it'd be a great idea to be spinning about and the like. Walking along, he looked on around to get some ideas on what they could do exactly.
"Actually, yeah, let's go with the games," the thief said while making his way to the area with the booths. Looking around at the variety of games, his eyes focused on one game in particular. It seemed like one he could win without too much trouble and the prizes weren't all that bad either. He glanced over towards Mitsu, thinking a bit. It was still hard to see how she was able to manage with all the hellish things she had been through this past year..

"Alright, games it is then," Nyx said making her way over to the booth area. It seemed like they had quite the variety. Darts, shooting, basketball, ducks, even those little goldfish pools where you scoop the fish. Nyx followed behind Blade and Mitsu for the time being since it seemed Blade had a game in mind, all the while trying to decide on something for herself.
Mitsu seemed rather interested in the scene having never been to anything like this before. It was a little loud though. She didn't seem to be contemplating a game to play, she was too busy trying to take everything in.
"What are you going to play?" Mitsu asked Blade curiously since he seemed to have his eye on something.

While Nyx was looking around for something to play herself, Blade glanced towards Mitsu and motioned towards the booth he had in mind. It was one aimed at people capable of fire magic. The goal of the game was to ignite specific parts of a target without catching the whole thing on fire. Towards the back a number of spare targets were at hand, as well as several fire extinguishers.
"I think I should be able to do this just fine," he said with a grin.
Walking up, he went on and paid the game manager and took a breath. He was allowed to fire three times at the target. Once he felt he was ready, he shot off several fireballs at it. The first two succeeded without issue, but his aim was a bit off with the third. It was still enough to warrant a prize; a small dragon toy, but that wasn't what he was aiming for.

Mitsu followed Blade over to the booth he was motioning to looking the game over. It seemed to involve fire magic. "Oh, you know how to use fire?" Mitsu asked.
She stood back a little as Blade began not wanting to distract him while he was trying to concentrate. Magic wasn't something she knew how to do herself but it was fascinating to watch. She had often been jealous that her older brother had been talented with magic and she was unable to do anything at all.
In the end when Blade managed to secure a prize Mitsu smiled walking back up to him. "That was really cool! And you managed to get a prize," She seemed rather excited looking over the little figurine that Blade had managed to win.
"Nice job, Sparky." Seeing Blade use his magic apparently had inspired a nickname from Nyx. "You seem to have a pretty good handle on that." In fact, Nyx looked rather impressed with his skills at fire magic. Not bad at all. With a little more practice he would be someone to contend with.

"Thanks, though I feel I could have done better," he said to Mitsu with a light grin before raising an eyebrow at Nyx, "Sparky?"
Shaking his head at the nickname, he went on to offer her the figurine. Blade didn't have any use for the thing, "I've been working on it for awhile now."
Turning back to the game, he paid for another round. The thief was determined to get it this time. When he was ready, he hurled the fireballs, though he took his time between shots to try and make sure he got his targets. And sure enough, he managed to ignite the three points, leaving the bulk of the target alone. Grinning at his accomplishment, he picked out one of the black dragon plushes that was being displayed.
With it in hand, he looked it over for a little while before turning towards Mitsu.
"Here. You can have it," he said.

"Yeah, Sparky," Nyx confirmed with a grin. Though that grin quickly faded when Blade handed her the figurine he had just won. "W-what's this for?" She asked curiously, though her facial expression seemed a little confused. Aside from beatings and hard life lessons, Nyx had never really been given anything before. It caught her off guard enough she really didn't have anything to say and she wasn't sure what to do.
Carefully she turned the little figurine around in her hand. It was a nice little figure, fairly detailed and painted in black and red. It was sitting on its haunches, its tail wrapped around its feet with its wings tucked in close to its body.
Mitsu smiled seeing Nyx's reaction to the little figurine. It was strange for the girl to be so quiet for a change.
"I thought you did really well though," Mitsu responded back to Blade. But it seemed he was determined he could prove that he could do better. Curiously she watched him play through the game again except this time he managed to hit all the targets required. "Ah, you did it!" She cheered clapping her hands.
He even picked out a rather cute little dragon plush but Mitsu's gaze turned curious when Blade turned and offered it to her. "B...but you just won it." Though her crimson orbs were already fixated on the plushie being held out to her. It was really cute...and stuffed animals were her weakness. "Don't you want to keep it?" She asked finally looking up at the thief not daring to take the little dragon just yet.

Both girls seemed to be rather confused with his move. Glancing back and forth between the two, he shrugged and grinned a bit.
"I don't really need them," he replied before looking towards Mitsu specifically, "Besides... past month has been kinda rough for you. Thought it might help cheer you up a bit."
That was a bit of an understatement. Aside from the attack and Shun's disappearance, she still had to deal with Suto. She had garnered some respect from Blade for being able to put up with all of this. It wasn't much, but he wanted to get her something for her strength. The carnival just seemed like a good opportunity for just that.
"So... go ahead and take it."

"Well...um..t-thanks," Nyx said in an almost embarrassed way putting the little figurine away in her pocket for now.
When Blade told her to go ahead and take it Mitsu slowly reached out for the little stuffed creature. Taking the plushie carefully into her grasp she pulled it back to herself. Mitsu's crimson eyes looked over the toy for a moment, it was a little black dragon with small wings on its back and an overly large head which only added to its cuteness.
A warm smile coming to her face she wrapped her arms around the toy to hold it close. "Thank you, Blade." Her tail was wagging behind her slightly, that combined with the expression on her face made it easy to deduct that she was happy.
"Haha, you're cute, Powderpuff." Nyx smiled patting the smaller girl on the head. She was like a puppy in a way with a new chew toy. Though she doubted Mitsu would be nibbling on this.
"Oh hey look." A game had caught Nyx's eye, but it wasn't more of the normal carnival games. This was one of those sham games. Guess which cup a small ball was under and win some money, but more often then not the ball wasn't under any of them.
"You lookin' to play, pretty lady?" The guy at the booth asked. His eye was on Mitsu since she seemed to be an easy target. "It's very easy. I place a ball on the table and place a cup over it. I move it and two other cups around and you guess which one the ball is under."
"Umm....I-I dunno," Mitsu said nervously taking a step closer to Blade.
"I'll play," Nyx piped up pulling some more money out of her pocket.

"You're welcome," he said to them both. Nyx's reaction was an amusing one. Blade must have really caught her off guard or something to that effect. Though, it was nice to see Mitsu's expression as she received the stuffed dragon. At least his plan to cheer her up some helped a bit, though hopefully it won't be too short lived.
Glancing over at the game that caught Nyx's eyes, the thief furrowed his brow as she went to go play it.
"You sure about that, Nyx?" he frowned. These types of games had a bit of a reputation of the 'house always winning' and not because of luck. There was a quick sleight of hand trick involved.
"People don't generally win this game.. if you know what I mean," he added as a warning.
