"Oh well then. It is good that you enjoy the meals here. As for people food, Astarteth had a taste for sweets and doesn't understand why we burn our meat. From time to time I still give her things." Kallista replied. "Greens are fine with me. Growing up, the station cook would make all sorts of stews from things outside. She knew what was edible and not and how to spice things."
She smiled fondly at the thought of her first home. "I still miss it even after almost four Turns are being with Astar and seeing Pern."

"Home is a very delicate thing you know, you could be gone for much longer and still miss it. Perhaps one day you could visit again, when you have time off from the Weyr of course. Despite it's dangers I miss the Southern Forests, even if I had to sleep in a tree. Occasionally I get a pang for the fields of home and my family but I think I am doing them a service by being here." Allaxon said.

Kallista laughed. "Oh I go home and visit from time to time. I see my neices and nephew. The crowd on Astarteth who complains and wants to be oiled. We go see the dolphins who still remember our faces."
She smiled at that, amazed that the dolphins could still remember them after three Turns.
You should oil me now. I itch. Astar mumbled.

"Dolphins? I have never seen a dolphin but I have been told that they are always smiling, is that true?" Allaxon asked with curiosity. The curiosity he had of dolphins had rivaled his curiosity with dragons. Although the dragons had won in the end. They were more exciting than what the sailors called shipfish, but not by much. Imagine, never leaving the water. He would be so wrinkly!

"They do and they are such fun. Perhaps some day you will get a chance to meet one. As for now, Astarteth is demanding that I oil her." Kallista gave a slight smile. "It was a pleasure catching up and I hope you do well at the Hatching."
Yes yes. He will do fine. Now come I itch greatly.
"Astarteth sends her regards as well."

"I look foreward to the day that I meet a dolphin. And thank you very much, your well wishes mean a lot to me." Allaxon bowed low to dragon and rider. "Thank you Astarteth, enjoy your oiling," he chirped cheerfully. "I'm off to hunt down where the rolls came from! Good luck with future endeavors Kallista and it was nice to see you again."
