Rocket Agent Faleen

PostPosted: Fri Apr 22, 2011 6:50 pm

The attacks weren't doing anything, not that this was surprising, the Galactic leader would probably have learned a thing of two after having three of his mech destroyed or badly damaged by Team Rocket Pokemon.

She had to wonder why they didn't have any form of other defensive weapons on board.

Not that it would really help them right now, Galactic was talking to them, she listened with a frown over her lips, holding on tightly to her seat strap.
Item that they stole? Clearly speaking about the item they had designated the G-ball.

It wasn't long before Galactic had their own Pokemon out, and those attacks did much more damage than what their Pokemon had done.
Faleen returned her Absol to his pokeball when it became very apparent that they were going down, one way or the other.

"Hold your head Nyx!" She told the other Agent sitting next to her, who she knew was probably confirming all her hatred for mechanical transport.
Faleen tucked her arms around her own head and bowed forward, bracing for the impact.

She had to admit... that landing had been impressive, for what it was.
Regardless it hurt, and the sweet sound of silence and the stillness that followed was a great relief.
Faleen seemed okay, she sat up and looked around at the others, looking to Nyx to see if her friend was okay.
"Nyx."

The faces were unfamiliar, but the voices were unmistakeable. They were the same group that had appeared at the volcano. Before indignation could properly take hold, though, turbulence rocked the helicopter, and a series of shouts painted a gruesome prospect for their future. Crashing didn't particularly sound like fun.

After a few moments of chaos, accented by a din that could be described as apocalyptic from within the confines of what was now a metal deathtrap, Aila found herself between the cushion of her seat and the warm feathers of a Pidgeotto pressed against her back. The bird was, thankfully, only slightly worse for wear. "Merci, Gui," his trainer murmured, taking note of the location of her Mismagius. The ghost-type had become intangible at some point during the tumble - the cocky thing - and so she was unscathed.

"Uninjured," she reported quietly as she encouraged the overprotective Pidgeotto away from her so she could have space to rise. "Everyone else?" It was a question asked mostly of herself as she surveyed her surroundings, in search of anyone who looked as though they might need help.

"NEVER AGAIN!" Nyx yelled when the helicopter 'landed' and Faleen said her name. There was no way in hell Nyx was ever getting in a helicopter ever again of her own free will. Faleen was obviously lying when she'd said helicopters were safe, because that had not been safe at all!

Darwin had darted into his owner's lap and held on as best he could as they crashed; He could have floated to safety, but that would have meant abandoning his trainer.

"Perfect shot!!" Deimos screeched as the Rocket helicopter hurtled for the mountainside, "Did you see that, Tethys??"

The commander's head snapped up. "Wingull, sir."

"...no Tethys. Stone Edge. I don't even have a wingull."

Tethys jabbed a finger at the window. "No, sir, there's a-"

"Honestly, Tethys. We need to teach you the difference between an attack and a pokém-" The Galactic leader was interrupted by the unfortunate sound of a couple dozen bird pokémon thudding against the jet as it passed through their flock. Even more unfortunate, was the one sucked into the engine. There was a loud explosion, a lot of smoke and sounding alarms.

Deimos screamed and latched onto the controls, trying to pull the jet out of an abrupt dive. He angled the nose upward but was unable to climb any higher. They were going to land in about ten seconds, one way or another. Eye wide, he turned hard and the jet angled left.... directly for the cave the Rockets had just crashed in.

TRP nodded as the various Rockets confirmed they were alright (more or less). Groaning, she climbed out of the helicopter and spotted the incoming jet. She gasped and threw herself at the floor, "EVERYBODY DOWN!!"

The jet came in too high. It clipped the top of the cave entrance, tearing off strips of metal and sending shards of rock flying everywhere. As it shot across the cave it fell low enough to shear the rest of the propeller blades off the top of the Rocket helicopter. About fifty yards after that it could be heard hitting the ground somewhere in the dark of the cave, shooting sparks in its wake. It didn't stop until it hit the cave wall in an echoing crash.

Several seconds passed before Deimos' voice could be heard projected from the failing loudspeaker, "Why didn't you tell me there was a flock of wingull??"

Fainter, and obscured by static, came a patient "Well sir, I tried."

This was followed by another voice in the background, "Get yer butt out of my face!" ... "On second thought, its all good."

Something went 'crunch.'

The combination of the crashes and the loudspeaker was too much. The entire cavern started to tremble. Massive boulders rained from the ceiling as the entrance caved in.

One moment there had been light. The next moment everyone was plunged into pitch black.

Debris could be heard scattering everywhere. The air was so thick with dust it was hard to breathe. The echoing thuds of stone against stone lasted for a full minute until until finally everything grew silent.

Somewhere in the darkness TRP coughed, "...who's still alive?"

A dull click sounded as Claire finally unbuckled herself and stumbled out of the helicopter, coughing from the dust and debris. Well if that hadn't been the worst landing ever... Wingull? The Garchomp jet crashed because they flew into a flock of Wingull? Ugh, she knew Deimos was stupid, but this.. ...actually no, she wasn't the least bit surprised. Typical.

"I am," she replied as the coughing - as well as the dust - started to subside. She glanced behind her at the inside of the helicopter, trying to see if anyone needed any help. ..actually she couldn't see anything. Crap.

A flash of light appeared at her side, and Claire put the pokeball away. Zeus immediately realized his purpose, so his cheeks started sparking harmlessly to produce a small amount of light. That done, she motioned him closer so she could see into the helicopter in case anyone needed help. Or light, either one.

It couldn't be denied that today was interesting. As silence fell Aulus raised his head. Either he'd gone blind or it was pitch black. "Not me," he coughed in response to TRP, "I'm just an annoyed ghost here to haunt everyone. Bloody hell, who was in charge of flying that jet? What's your excuse?" This was not how he'd envisaged his first mission. He wasn't sure how he had envisaged it, but it hadn't been like this. As a little bit of light entered the cavern thanks to Zeus' cheeks, Aulus rubbed his eyes to clear some of the dust out of them and tried to get his bearings.

Faleen moved to unstrap herself from her seat, blinking at Nyx's sudden outburst, but not particularly surprised by it.
She was hoping to get her used to these, but it seemed she would have to start over... if she even got the chance.
Nyx didn't seem hurt though, and looking around everyone else seemed to be okay.. physically.

The ordeal wasn't over yet it seemed, catching the sounds of whining engines, the same ones from the Galactic jet only... in distress? yeah she could hear it, there was something wrong with those engines.

And than Elite TRP suddenly bolted back into the Helicopter and threw herself onto the ground yelling for everyone to get down.
Faleen didn't hesitate, throwing the bucks off of her and dropping down once again.
Oh Crap! was the Jet landing in here!? Or sounds more like crashing!?
and sure enough, more chaos later, something clipped over their helicopter, and the came around them rumbled.
She was reminded of the volcano when rocks began to crumble and fall, and everything went dark.

Faleen caughed clearing her throat from kicked up dust, unable to see her hands below her as she pushed herself up.
"Agent Faleen, Reporting," She replied to TRP's question.

One catastrophe after another. After finally managing to push the Pidgeotto away, Aila once more found herself smothered by its wings as the Garchomp-inspired aircraft plunged downward due to the valiant sacrifice of a flock of Wingull. Or perhaps the Wingull were against them as well; the jet's trajectory and the accompanying cry of warning were menacing omens for the imminent future.

Sure enough, the earth collapsed around them. A helicopter trip, a cave-in, Galactic interference- this was all beginning to feel a lot like a previous mission, to the point that Aila was beginning to have serious concerns about her well-being. She had weathered the ordeal, though, and raised a hand to her head to steady herself at the elite's call. "Depends on your definition of 'alive,'" she muttered. Damage assessment take two, as it were.

There was another yelp when the Galactic jet began crashing and TRP yelled for everyone to get down. It was just one thing after another on these missions. What next, a cave-in?

Why, yes.

Nyx coughed and opened her eyes to find- nothing. She'd gone blind. Or someone turned out the lights. One of those two things. "...I"m alive." She groaned, none-too-pleased at the situation that she remained alive in. At least everyone else seemed to be as irritated and alive as she was. It didn't take long for the scientist to figure out that they needed light--the little pikachu's cheeks wouldn't be nearly enough for very long. "Tazieff-" She coughed again as she pulled a pokeball from her belt and released a charizard from its ball to shed some light from its tail.

TRP nodded as everyone replied, though she frowned when no response came from the pilot. By the light of Clarie's pikachu, she made her way to the front of the helicopter and checked on the man. He was unconscious with a nasty gash bleeding from his forehead. "He's alive, but we'll need to carry him. Anyone else with light-generating pokémon get them out." She held a poké ball up, aiming it out a broken window at the cave floor. It fired a red beam, materializing Axel, her shiny charizard. The fire lizard's tail lit up the side of the helicopter decently.

She grunted as she looped an arm around the pilot and dragged him outside, accepting any help along the way.

Once outside the helicopter, by Axel's light they'd be able to see it. They were all very lucky to be so uninjured, much less alive. It looked like it had gone through a very large garbage disposal.

The cave entrance was a black wall now, completely sealed. "...great." TRP sighed, turning her attention in the direction of the Galactic jet. It was too dark to make out. It didn't sound like the trio was up to any trouble at least. The cave was silent.

Thankfully there were more pokemon out now to help generate light, and Claire helped with the pilot as best as she could. She could only stand the nagging feeling so much longer though, and as she stepped back and looked from the caved-in wall to the dark inner part of the cave - which was thankfully silent at the moment - she sighed and toyed with a pokeball in her hand. "What do we do now?" She asked of TRP after a moment, glancing back at the wall that hadn't been there a few moments ago. "Try to blast a hole in the wall, or go further into the cave?" Those were the only two options she could think of, and quite honestly, she much preferred the first one. Very much preferred it. It meant they wouldn't run into Galactic, and maybe even could seal them in the cave alone. ..that'd be nice.

Nodding to the order Aulus released Char once more and passing the Charmeleon his staff before ducking into the remains of the helicopter to help TRP drag the pilot out. As an after thought, the scarred man reached to his belt once more and let Tortie out of her pokeball; she might not generate light, but as a dark type she'd see better in the dim conditions than most of them. "Keep an eye out of us girl," he instructed as the patched Absol appeared, "this is serious." Very serious. There would be a way out, right? They wouldn't be trapped in here forever.. well, until they died anyway. No. There had to be a way out, and if there wasn't one at the moment they'd make one. It would be fine.

When she was first released, Tortie was all ready to huff at and ignore her trainer but when she took in her surroundings she merely dipped her head in assent. She was still angry with him for neglecting her in favour of the female human, but she didn't want him actually hurt. For now she was willing to call a truce in the name of survival; she could be sniffy with him again once they got out of this.

As she pushed herself to her feet, a hand went down to one of the pokeballs on her thigh, tossing it casually to call forth her Umbreon.

He stood, looking up at Faleen before glancing around at the rest of the rockets, rings glowing steadily brighter before they helped illuminate more of the darkness.

Once the ground gathered themselves, Faleen started out with the rest. glancing around the cave, her eyes settling on the wrecked form of the helicopter. the corner of her mouth lifting up in pity for the machine.
"Poor thing" she muttered, reaching out to touch a jagged pieces of its destroyed hull, got them in here alive though.

letting her hands fall she moved her attention back over to where the Jet had landed, narrowing her eyes slightly, but seeing no movement... or noise.
"... With any luck they died in the crash..." She said in and undertone voice, so it would not carry.

After a few moments of sitting on the cave floor next to her Charizard's tail, Nyx finally composed herself, after all, they were alive and on the ground, which was very much not in a helicopter... even if they did seem to be trapped. She pushed herself to her feet and looked around as best she could, which wasn't much--but she did have a pokemon on her person that was native to the pitch black environment. "Doppler, see if you can find a way out."

A tiny zubat appeared out of one of her pokeballs and chittered before flying around the cave, either doing what he was supposed to, or just celebrating being out of his pokeball.

Nyx hadn't taken any more notice of the galactics, or their lack of presence; Getting out was more important.

Aila's stature wasn't the best for helping injured individuals unless they were children - or possibly Nyx, who seemed to be fine - so she carefully picked her way out of the twisted steal of the helicopter, recalling Revenant and Gui to minimize the number of bodies occupying the space. She spared a glance at the copter, or at the remains of it at least. Ugh. It looked as though they had used up all of their luck for the day. Hopefully they wouldn't need any luck for the remainder of the missions.

Ha.

The Galactic ship was quiet, obscured by the darkness of the fallen stone. In a perfect world, they'd all died in the crash.

Again, ha.

She considered their options as Claire voiced them. If they were to stage an escape, she assumed her Aggron and Metagross would be the most effective in carving a path. Conversely, there might have been a path further within the cave, or, "Maybe there's something in the Galactic ship we could make use of." They were quiet enough to suggest that they were either dead or in the process of dying, and if the quality of their aircraft's armor was any indication, there was a good chance they were harboring some useful technology within.
