Eneas Sharpe || ●Status: Finished building up tent, waiting●Location: Campsite●Mood:Tired●OOC:I'd say skip to morning or even the ruins. But that's my opinion.Eneas now lay on his back, looking straight at the tent which he had placed over his bedroll. He listened to what the others said in response to his question and even got his hopes up when the Dunmer proclaimed that he would take a second watch. He'd hoped that the Dark Elf would liberate one of them (preferably Eneas) from having to go on watch duty during the night, but that hope was shattered pretty swiftly by the Altmer, Eliya, who announced that there were two more shifts to be covered. Eneas didn't expect the other redhead to also announce that she was a nocturnal, and so he sighed while putting his hands behind his head to relax. At least he still had a chance at the last shift, which meant his sleep would not be interrupted by being woken up and then having to go to sleep again. He wanted to announce his choice as soon as she gave him the chance to, but the other redhead beat him to it. But at least she chose exactly the time that Eneas wanted to avoid, leaving only the last shift for him. A relieved sigh escaped his lips as he said "Well that leaves the last for me...".
Eneas knew he somewhat seemed unambitious, but he rarely ever went through the effort of putting up a campfire. He didn't need a warm meal, nor did he need light. He had a very light sleep (probably causing his hate for disturbing his sleep) and often heard when something approached or got too close. At least up to now it had served him pretty well. Eneas was a bit annoyed that he didn't know much about the other schools of magic, perhaps he would be somewhat more useful if he knew something about destruction, too. But then again, he had gotten thus far with what he had in his repertoire, so he wasn't necessarily unhappy with the way everything had turned out.
He watched the others work, but was a little clueless by now how he would be able to contribute to their efforts. The Breton picked up his claymore and his dagger and moved them under his tent, next to his bedroll so that it would be within range in case anything dangerous would venture too close to the camp during the night. He didn't usually sleep with weapons near him, at least not while he was in a major settlement, but his reflexes after waking up were still very similar to the reflexes he had when fully awake. He closed his eyes before saying "Feel free to wake me for my shift, by the way..." while looking at the woman playing with fire, since she would have the shift before his. He wouldn't fall asleep just yet, but he was also not sure whether the others would think less of him if he didn't lend a hand in some way or another. Oh well, he would prove his worth the following day if they were not satisfied by his performance today. At first I was like..................And then I was like...............But then I lol'd

Eliya ~ ooc- since no else besides loco has yet said whether they would like to skip or go ahead, I will wait before jumping....Also- I don't think Aya actually lit the fire brax, but lets go ahead and assume she did. ^-^Eliya was a bit surprised when the other red head offered to take third shift but she settled for a simple nod in acknowledgment. Eliya pondered the thought that there were so many individuals who either didn't sleep much or didn't care too much about sleep....though Eliya was an early riser it was more out of self-discipline than anything else. She appreciated her sleep quite a bit. Perhaps it had been rather selfish of her to choose first shift, but it had seemed to work out rather nicely. When Eneas spoke up and finally accepted the last shift, and then went right to sleep....Eliya wasn't sure whether to be annoyed or pleased. Internally she shook her head and shifted her attention back to the other woman.
Eliya's eyes watched the female play with fire for a moment. She had talent that was fairly obvious. At the same time however, the journeyman couldn't help but wonder if the other woman wasn't showing off a bit. Their eyes connected for a brief second before Eliya looked away and to the fire Aya had started.
Eliya nodded at the dark elf's words of appreciation, though she did not look up. She did however look up a few moments later when he expanded upon his time with the mage's guild. She contemplated what he had said, finding a few questions arise. None however were important enough to voice, and so she didn't. Now that a steady fire was going, Eliya returned to sit in front of her tent (which was fairly close to the fire) and set about eating the rest of her dinner, which included some dried meat and cheese.
Politely Eliya lifted her hand to waive away the offer the dunmar addressed to the group. When she had swallowed the food in her mouth, she spoke. "No thank you, I brought along food enough." To be perfectly honest, Eliya hated accepting favors from others. Perhaps it was her wealthy upbringing or maybe even her inherited racial attitude, but she was extremely self-sufficient and preferred to be so. Which meant not accepting the dunmer's offer of his deliciously fragrant smelling soup.

Velryn took his time to consume his meal, enjoying the warmth of the fire and the seemingly serene locale Eliya had chosen for their break. Finally, the dunmer rose and left to seek a stream or pool of clear water that wasn't far from the camp, using it to rinse his cook-wear and utensils.
"Come get me when you're shift is done," he told Eliya upon his return. He repacked his gear, and made his way for his tent. Even though it was a mite early, it seemed the group wasn't inclined to much conversation and, after a day of solid travel, Velryn couldn't blame anyone if they wanted to keep quiet and rest. Soon, the alchemist was curled up in his shelter, the flaps drawn and tied against breezes and insects.

Eliya ~ [ooc- I think we may be continuing without Jacob_Crossfield for a while.....so lets minimize Aya and not direct things towards her if possible- plot jump! yay! Here is a link to the map and layout of the ruin]
The night passed without any trouble, each of the travelers waking up and taking their allotted shifts. Dawn came all too quickly and after packing their things and a quick breakfast, the group was once again on horseback, riding towards their destination. They stopped only briefly for lunch as they pushed hard to make it to the Aleyid Ruin before dark. Making good time, the mages arrived in the late afternoon at Malada.
Eliya's red hair shimmered in the sunlight as she dismounted Apollo and tethered him to a nearby tree. Ahead of her lay the Aleyid Ruin, Malada. It was old like other Aleyid ruins, its broken pillars and stones smooth and worn from being centuries old. Lichen and moss darkened the once white stones, leaving them looking varying shades of gray and green. The mage assassin was glad to see there were no marauders or dangerous animals outside guarding the ruin. Perhaps it was indeed deserted. That would make their task much easier. Granted, there would still likely be deadly traps inside to watch out for.
Eliya glanced at the others as she lifted her pack from Apollo's saddle, petting him comfortingly. He seemed at ease, grazing the grass at her feet. She looked to the others and saw they were ready. "Shall we?" She wondered if it was necessary to remind them that there could be unknown dangers awaiting them, and that it would be prudent to be quiet as they went below. They walked up the stone steps and stood before the massive stone door that led into the ruin. Eliya paused, and turned to the others. "We do not know what dangers we will encounter below, I strongly suggest we use as much stealth as possible."
The mage put her hand over the door and felt the cold stone beneath her fingers. Firmly she pushed, and with surprising ease it swung open.
They entered.

The alchemist finished hauling his pack onto his pack. From the entrance, he had plucked a few plants, including some foxglove, lady's smock, motherwort, monkshood and a couple types of fungus. It seemed a good omen for the place that, already, they had encountered something of value. Well, at least he had.
"Completely sensible, and I will do my best," Velryn said in a low tone of voice. Within the formation, assuming Eliya was leading, the dunmer moved into a position to follow her through the passages. I hope someone here has experience with traps, he mused, and kept his eyes peeled for inconsistencies in their surroundings, such as raised or discolored floor tiles or openings in the walls and ceilings.
Although scavenging Ayleid ruins wasn't his idea of a fun time, he still felt a thrill run through him as he crept forward after the red-haired senior mage. While the quest seemed benign enough, there was always an element of danger to such places. He kept his hands loose at his sides, but was prepared to unsheath and throw one of his half-dozen daggers if need be. Any manner of beast could have made this place its den, and hadn't he heard of bandits moving into ruins?
Well, Eliya, Eneas and Aya all looked capable and experienced. They could deal with some outlaws if it came to it.

Eneas Sharpe || ●Status: Finished building up tent, waiting●Location: Campsite●Mood:Tired●OOC:I'd say skip to morning or even the ruins. But that's my opinion.Getting down from his horse, Eneas first had to readjust the strap on his claymore, as always. He was looking forward to exploring these ruins, he'd only been in an Ayleid ruin once, and he hadn't ventured in too far so he didn't get to see much of their architecture. Some would say that once you've seen one Ayleid ruin, you've seen them all. But Eneas wasn't one one to simply rely on the opinion of others, most others were uneducated and had no idea of what they were talking about anyway. He wondered what kind of traps they would encounter, he even hoped that they would encounter some (naturally, not that they may fall victims to one). Ayleid ingenuity, at least how it had been described in some books, had always fascinated him. "Fair enough" he said in response to Eliya's suggestion, "I suppose it couldn't hurt.". Of course he'd heard that there were not only traps in most Ayleid ruins.
He was alright with sneaking around the ruin, he was pretty good at sneaking, but he also hoped that the two others would know what to do if stealth was no longer an option. Not that he was the most proficient fighter, but he always planned for the worst and expected the best. It could never harm to be prepared. But then again, he'd not heard much about any wildlife or bandits that would make these Ayleid ruins their home, he certainly wouldn't want to. They were roomy enough, but it was always possible to overlook a trap and die within one's "own" four walls. As he entered behind the Dunmer, he realised how dark it was in these ruins. Some crystals were lighting the way, but certainly in this situation being a Khajit would be useful. Of course, it doesn't balance out having to live with fur and a tail, so Eneas was quite happy the way things had turned out.
The Breton looked around as his eyes adjusted to the darkness, always keeping a hand on the hilt of his claymore. He tried to relax, but he had an eerie feeling in this ruin, and it wasn't his fear of the dark (not really a strong fear, further weakened by the lighting crystals). He joined Velryn in looking around for nooks in walls that blades or other oversized objects could swing out of or pin someone to the wall, irregularities on the floor, trapdoors, pressure plates, tripwires etc. He didn't find any, but he wouldn't let his guard down. This was the entrance of the ruin, and he was sure that there wouldn't be an abundance of traps at the entrance. At first I was like..................And then I was like...............But then I lol'd

Eliya ~ Taking the lead, Eliya cautiously walked down the steps of the ayleid ruin. It was dark, but there was some sort of light coming from below. As she made it to the last of the stairs, in front of her was a large open room, dimly lit by some sort of white quartz crystals. Carefully she stepped into the room and surveyed as best she could. The corners of the vast room were dark, but there was enough light to make out the rest of the room. Like other ayleid ruins, this room was arched and detailed, once likely a place fit for royalty. Now however it was ancient and tomb like. Not seeing any immediate danger, Eliya motioned for the other two to follow her into the room.
There were pillars throughout the room, each intricately designed with ayleid symbols and ruins. In the center of the grand open room was four smaller pillars, with some sort of risen stone....no alter, at the center. Slowly Eliya stepped towards the alter, as if if drawn to it in some sort inexplicable way. As she got closer she realized the was some sort of dark stains on the alter. As she looked down at the flat stone, now standing next to it, realization dawned on her. The dark stains were blood. Eliya jumped back quickly from the alter, her eyes darting around the chamber for any hidden enemies.
Seeing none, she relaxed and looked to the others who were probably wondering what was wrong with her. She pointed to the dark stains on the alter. "Blood. Someone or something was sacrificed here in the past few weeks." She drew a dagger. "Whoever did the sacrificing has likely taken up residence here, and they may not be alone." Eliya chose to refrain from mentioning that they might be dealing with Necromancers. She didn't know it for sure, and they had all but been wiped out. Granted....there could be other sick people who performed sacrifices? Perhaps simple bandits who relished in twisted torturous ways? She licked her dry lips.
"This way."
Past the Alter, towards the front left side of the room was a passageway with stairs leading upwards. At the top of the stairs, Eliya halted. Their path branched off in two directions. Forward, or to the left and up more stairs. Unsure as to which way to go, Eliya stepped aside and silently motioned for either of the other two to choose.

Velryn kept close to Eliya's back, withdrawing one of his throwing daggers as he crept after her with a slow, careful motion that freed it from its sheath with little noise. He felt the hairs on his neck begin to rise as an eerie sensation washed over him. His gut instinct was warning him that this place was bad, bad, bad. Still, he wasn't going to show weakness and fear in front of Eliya and Eneas when there was no visible threat--
Bloodstains?
The dunmer's scarlet eyes narrowed. He stepped forward a little ways further to inspect to altar with its dark brown splotches. "Multiple offerings," he murmured so Eliya and Eneas could hear. Was this the work of bandits? This went beyond muggings, this was outright torture and sacrifice... some sort of cult? He frowned and moved after the Altmer as she headed away. If this was a cult, he hoped there weren't many members.
When they came to the landing, he carefully studied both paths. "I think we should explore this level as thoroughly as possible before we continue to a different once," he said, offering his opinion on the subject.

Eneas Sharpe || ●Status: Finished building up tent, waiting●Location: Campsite●Mood:Tired●OOC:I'd say skip to morning or even the ruins. But that's my opinion. While most of the room was lit by crystals, it was still a little too dark for Eneas' tastes. He wanted to light a torch, but he had agreed on remaining stealthy. Thinking on that, he even took his hand off his claymore and unsheathed his dagger. While he preferred head-on action, he was ready to be as quiet as he possibly could. To be fair, when Eliya pointed out that there was blood on the altar, Eneas was a little surprised, sure, but he should've expected it. By now, long after the age of the ayleids, their ruins would either not be inhabited, leaving their altars unused, or they would be used for sacrifices. There was little else to be done with them. The culprits, on the other hand, left room to quite some possibilities: daedric cults, necromancers, bandits that were into this kind of stuff. It could be wild beasts like trolls or ogres who incidentally killed someone on this spot.
The Dunmer was already examining the bloodstains closely, so Eneas didn't bother. He would rely on Velryn's examination that there had been multiple offerings, Eneas could not have come to such a conclusion. He wasn't very good at reading tracks, analysis or anything. He was more or less the muscle of this operation, no more, no less. He knew how to fight pretty well, but this being his first ayleid ruin he would not be able to analyse any of the writing on the wall, he would not be familiar with traps or architecture. They continued on their advance until they arrived to the top of some stairs where the path branched, where he and Ryn were asked for their opinions on how to proceed. After the Dunmer had spoken, Eneas spoke: "I agree," he said, "It'd keep our backs clear and allow for safer retreat, if needed.". A bit more of a tactical analysis, but it was probably appreciated. If they continued up the stairs and left some parts of this level unexplored there would be a chance that whatever or whomever they missed would fall into their back, or that they would retreat into them. At first I was like..................And then I was like...............But then I lol'd

Eliya ~ Eliya nodded at the other's mutual agreement. Their choice made sense and the Altmer was pleased that her associates from the Mage's Guild seemed to have intelligent heads on their shoulders. Without a further word, Eliya led the way forward instead of up the stairs. As they moved cautiously, the passageway in front split to the left and the right, with a stone wall smoothly blocking any straight forward passage. A quick glance showed that to the right was a dead end. To the left it was then. The left opened into another room, slightly smaller than the one with the alter they had entered on the lower floor. Unlike the lower room, this one did not have an alter, and it actually had some sort of intricate metal lining some pillar edges.
The room was rather dark as it lacked the quartz stones that had been lighting their passage thus far, so Eliya used an illusion spell to create light around her and her companions. She had not brought a torch so she turned to whisper to Eneas and Velryn. "It would be beneficial if one of you had a torch you could light." After one was lit they moved further into the room. There were two large pillars reaching from the floor to the very high ceiling of the room, one of them broken. Hopefully the ceiling was still secure after all these centuries. There were four smaller pillars about five or six feet high, each looked as if they had once held ayleid stones, but now they were empty. Likely pillaged by some bandit heathen.
Eliya reminded herself that they were likely not alone in this ayleid ruin. They stepped forward into the center of the room and towards the only passageway. It was actually a straight shot across the room, but as they approached, their light made visible that the passage way split around a large column about fifteen feet or so in diameter. Which way to go? To Eliya it seemed as if the two passageways would join. Then, for the briefest second the mage assassin heard something. A footstep? Abruptly she stopped at held up her hand to motion for the others to halt as well. She put a slendar finger to her lips to indicate they shouldn't speak.
Without a sound Eliya released a life detect spell. A pink aura suddenly appeared in her line of sight. There was someone standing down the hallway, their view obviously hidden by the winding hallways. Just one. She could take care of this, after all. Stealth was her specialty. Without a word to the others she shimmered, her form disappearing as she became invisible. Moving silently she chose the right passageway and followed it about twenty feet to where it curved to the left to meet the other passageway; a see through metal door lay open. She had been right. But that was not important now. A single person stood with their back to her, their features unseen, hidden by a dark hooded cloak.
Her first response was to attack and permanently silence the mysterious person. That would be best. To err on the side of caution. Anyone in this ruin was their enemy. They were here to retrieve the artifact at all costs. But the mage's guild preferred to avoid death whenever possible, and it was that reasoning that caused Eliya the briefest hesitation. The mage's guild wasn't here. When it came down to it, they wanted the job done and wouldn't question the details. Either way, this person was in their way and would likely alert the others to their presence if discovered. Her choice made, Eliya silently lifted her dagger and simultaneously covered the person's mouth and slit their throat. The only sound was a slight thump as the body hit the floor.
Now visible again, Eliya turned to see that Eneas and Velryn had followed her. She motioned for them to come look at the body. It was dunmer woman and upon examination, it was evident that she was not a bandit or hermit living in the ruin....it was obvious they were dealing with necromancers. Probably a whole coven of them living within the Ayleid ruin. Eliya looked up at the others, her face grim as she stood up. "It would seem that our task has just become more difficult." She glanced at the hallways that led away from them. One led straight ahead, continuing in the direction they had came, and another to the right. The one that led ahead visibly curved to the left and was dark, the one to the right looked as though it went straight quite a ways.

He lit it with a flicker of flames from his fingertips that hardly brushed on his inner reserve of magicka. The dunmer nodded to Eliya, both his hands now occupied--one with a light throwing blade, the other with a torch. Now that the dim corridors were lit, the damage and deterioration was more evident, and it would be easier for people like him to see rubble on the ground and avoid it. He moved slowly so as to move more quietly, trying not to step on debris that would slither, crackle or crunch.
When the redheaded mage halted and gestured, Velryn stopped and glanced to Eneas. He watched as Eliya shimmered out of view and frowned slightly. How far ahead was she going to roam? Had she detected something? He stepped along the passage after pausing for a moment or two, and stopped when he came upon Eliya positioned near a fallen corpse. Velryn wedged his torch into the crack of a wall nearby and took up her invitation to check the body.
He knelt to get a closer inspection, and his red eyes narrowed. He only glanced at the ragged, bloody wound at the throat and didn't question Eliya, although he wondered at her certainty in attacking the stranger. That wonderment soon disappeared, numbed away with, at first, disbelief... and then anger. The robes, which seemed sort of ecclesiastical, were dark but didn't entirely conceal old blood stains. Unknown to Velryn, he had tensed up and was holding his breath.
He stood up. The altar, this individual... even if they weren't necromancers, at the very least they were cultists and their sacrifices weren't acceptable. He flexed the fingers of his free hand and nodded to Eliya. He spoke softly to both mages. "If this thing," he said, with a light kicked to the corpse to indicate it, "is what it seems to be, then use your noses. Necromancers often employ reanimated dead for assistance. Pay attention for the scent of decay." That wouldn't be easy, given the musty air they were surrounded by, but he figured the advice couldn't hurt to give.
Velryn's impulse was to head down a hall and find some defilers to attack, flinging fire upon them, but he kept himself in check. Still, he couldn't help the anger that flowed through him and the driving sense that he needed to find each and every b*****d in the place and put them down. It doesn't make a difference to Tadsea, but it matters to me, he thought briefly, and retrieved the torch. "Ready to follow where ever you lead," the dunmer murmured.

Eliya ~ Eliya nodded at Velryn's words. It was true that Necromancer's bread and butter were undead creatures. Eliya of all people would know this, considering she had lived with necromancers for nearly a year. The things she had had to do to infiltrate and pretend to be one of them.....she shuddered as she firmly pushed the memories away, turning to face one of the hallways. It was the straight one, the one that they would keep going on if they went straight ahead. "There is enough light from the quartz crystals for us to make our way, I would put out that torch now Velryn," she murmured this as she began to lead the way again. Now was the time for stealth. They needed to figure out what they were up against, and figure out the best strategy. If there were a whole coven of Necromancer's living in this ruin then if they could sneak in and steal what they came for, it might be easier then battling every dark mage. If they had to kill them all, picking them off one by one would be best.
Eliya sneaked down the dark hallway, the mottled stone archway overhead turning their path into a high up ledge that looked down into a large chamber. Their path appeared to turn into another corridor a meter away, and then wrap around the entire chamber, to open up into another ledge, terrace like, directly across. Cautiously Eliya peered over, and motioned for the Dunmer male to do the same. Below were a handful of hooded figures, performing some sort of cultic ritual on an open carcass. Whether it was human or animal the redheaded Altmer could not tell. The people Eliya now knew as Necromancers, were working on a slab of stone that sat right in front of a large pillar that rose all the way to the ceiling. It seemed centered in the middle of the room. At the top of this pillar....the female elf elbowed Velryn slightly and pointed with her hand. Hovering above the circular ayelid pillar was a large red quartz looking crystal. This had to be the object of their mission. Eliya had never seen anything like it. It was larger the both her fists put together. Could it be this easy?
Eliya pulled Velryn back into the safety of the corridor where they could speak safely in hushed whispers. "That red crystal has to be what we came for, I've never seen anything like it. I think I can retrieve it with a telekinesis spell, but there is a possibility the necromancers have put some sort of alarm spell on it, to prevent just that from happening. Or they might simply notice the power is gone. If that happens then we will have to run or fight. Perhaps both. As you may have noticed the odds are not in our favor. But we have a mission to accomplish." Eliya's hushed voice held a grimness to it, that reflected the acceptance of what they would have to undertake. "Do you have any suggestions?" As far as Eliya was concerned, a grab and dash would be easiest, but then again she wasn't sure Velryn could just turn invisible and run to the exit like her.

Eliya ~ The Dunmer shook his head, a slight smile on his lips. "I can be quite fast, a grab and dash sounds just fine by me."Eliya nodded swiftly as they stepped back away from the railing and further into the shadows. The Altmer's mind was spinning and whirring with possibilities and scenarios, trying to find the best path that would lead the two of them out of the ruin successful and alive. Failure was never an option in Eliya's book and this job was no exception. The red headed mage assassin prided herself confidentially on having successfully completed every job thus far in her career. She didn't take no for an answer and she didn't quit. She was persistent and dedicated. Both were things one needed to get anywhere in the world. And with nearly two centuries of expected life left, Eliya planned to go places. Perhaps someday she would even leave Cryodiil... visit Skyrim perhaps?
"Okay," she whispered to her elven companion. "I'll grab it and then we can head for the exit." Even as Eliya spoke, Velryn shook his head. "We should ensure the security of the mission. I'm very fast. Toss the crystal to me and if we get separated we can meet back at the University." Eliya's jade eyes blinked for a moment as she processed the suggestion and quickly she nodded. Now was not the time to argue and debate details. If he was truly as fast as he led on then the suggestion made sense. "Okay, I'll toss it to you, and you run like the wind for the exit. If we get separated and can't find one another just head all the way back to the Arcane University. If all goes well I'll meet you there in two days. Ready?"
Summoning her magicka, Eliya reached out and telepathically took a firm hold of the large red crystal. For the briefest moment it resisted, almost as if it had a will of its own, -- but no that was impossible....wasn't it? The Altmer didn't have time to further consider any implications because suddenly it was flying through the air towards her and Velryn. Even as the dark skinned male clasped the crystal shard in his hand, a shrill piercing sound cut through the entire chamber, causing small bits of debris to being falling from the ceiling. There had been an alarm, and they had triggered it. Had Eliya had more time, days perhaps, she could have probably studied the magical properties guarding the crystal and perhaps prevented the alarm from going off. But as it was it was no time to run.
Eliya allowed one last quick glance down over the railing, only to see hooded figures trying to shout over the loud noise, which seemed to be making the entire ruin even more unstable every second. One of them looked up and spotted Eliya, but before they could shoot off a spell at her she was already running down the corridor from the way she and Velryn had already come. The male elf was no where to be seen, he was apparently very serious when he'd said he was fast. Come on Eliya, mission is successful now don't get killed...

She had conflicting emotions on what she was told to do. The main goal wasn't was bothered her but the side part what was. There were a group of necromancers inside a ruin guarding a gem that they were to retrieve. They being the party that had already left some time ago. She wasn't apart of the team sent but was decided to allow to tag along for personal experience. So she had a bit of catching up to do.
She first trotted on the road from her mage's hall in Bruma heading south along the main road that would let The lmperial City be on her right. She spend the night at the Roxey lnn and then continued her journey southwards passing Fort Urasek and Fort Magia. When she got to the Ayleid Well, the fork about a block a head, she took the path southeast. Soon the Shrine of Julianos was to her left and she was going deeper into the forest. Crossing the bridge, a Highwayman stopped her and was about to tell her to cough up her gold when his face showed pity for a little girl alone in the woods. She played that card and asked him how to get to The lmperial Bridge lnn, knowing it was close by and almost in the direction she wanted to head in. He told her where to go and she smiled and thanked him.
Continuing on her path she soon got to another fork in the road and again took the left of the two. lt wasn't as well kempt as the other path but if she just followed this road it would take her directly to the Ayleid Ruin: Malada. lt took her another rest at a nearby Rune Stone before she continued on the path and eventually made her way to the ruin. Once she was inside she noticed a few corpses already sprawled out. She felt excited and made her way further down into the ruins. She unsheathed her sword and started to walk in the dark and dimly light pathways, stumbling over a few rocks here and there but mostly went rather well.
Soon she heard a figure running towards her. No, it was two. Though it sounded as if they were going in different directions. She waited in the shadows till one of them revealed themselves. Waiting patiently she saw one of them figures running towards her in a hurry. lt seemed like someone she might have known, a fellow mage. She wasn't entirely sure what had happened to the others but she got out and ran up to her in a hurried manner. ''Wait!'' she called out as her feet carried her towards her target, her left palm was out towards the person running towards her telling them to halt.

Eliya ~ With great haste Eliya fled through the ayleid ruin, back the way she had previously come. Her red hair bounced against her shoulders as she ran, her breathing hardly labored, but coming in quick heavy breaths. The Altmer's adrenaline was surging as she dodged falling debris; it was getting better the farther she got from the central chamber, but was still proving treacherous. The elven woman jumped deftly and rolled out of the way as a sudden large chunk of stone fell in front of her. Even as she rolled she was quickly up again running.
Dimly over the sound of the alarm and falling stone she could hear voices yelling. Luckily thus far she hadn't run into any Necromancer's just yet. Eliya hoped that their confusion would aid her and allow her a successful escape. I hope Velryn made it okay... The fact that she hadn't seen him yet or his body gave the redheaded woman hope that he had already made it to the exit and was well on his way back to the University. The priority of getting that crystal shard back to the Imperial City overruled anything else. Again Eliya dodged a falling piece of debris. And what if she should fall here in Hrotanda Vale? It would be somewhat fitting, being laid to rest in the ancient place of her ancestors. But all the same, dead was dead, and Eliya had no intention of this day being her last. She was young, especially by elven standards and planned to live another couple centuries. Come on Eliya, almost there....
As she moved farther along the way she had initially come, and down the stairs to the first level, the alarm abruptly cut off as did the falling stone. Suddenly it was much quieter and Eliya instantly stopped moving, her ears pricked and listening for any indication of danger. It wasn't much farther to the exit now. A few more rooms and hallways and she would be in the sunlight once more. Cautiously she cast a life detect spell and saw that someone was approaching from behind about twenty feet away. The mage assassin decided to move before she was discovered. Luckily moving quickly and steathily at the same time was something she could do. It wasn't so much luck as practice, but the exact details didn't really matter at this time.
Once again Eliya ran deftly down the corridor, her feet lightly touching the stone floor as she continued to make her way. Her life detect spell had faded so it was quiet a surprise when a smaller figure suddenly revealed itself before her with a hand raised, commanding her to stop. Eliya planned to do no such thing, and without hesitation reached to pull out a dagger as the person appeared. As she ran towards the figure she did not slow down at all, rather she sped up, and with dagger in hand prepared to strike. -- Yet even as she prepared to deal a blow to the cloaked person, she realized something was off, and that the robes did not match the other Necromancer's robes she'd seen. And had the voice sounded vaguely familar? In the dim lighting she couldn't quite make out the face of the person, but she was female....hating herself even as she hesitated, Eliya shifted her momentum and stopped her attack at the lost possible second, her actions resulting in her slamming rather roughly into the nearby wall. Even ss the air was knocked slightly from her because of her initial velocity, she had her knife held out at the other person. "Identify yourself, now." It was command issued with steely resolve and held no room for negotiation. Depending on the reply she received, she planned to follow through with her weapon, and if the other person had been able to see her green eyes in the dim light they would have seen her intent. Hopefully for them they could hear it in her voice.
