Sonnenblume That was so hilariously douchey, Boney. 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding LeRaven I'm sort of tempted to try this, but idk I feel like my curls are more wild then your so I dunno if it would yield the same results. Yeah I haven't used shampoo for a long time either, I use it maybe one every few months but yeah it usually leaves my hair feeling gross. People on NaturallyCurly that have african-american hair follow the same method and it works wonderfully for them. Most of the people in that forum actually follow the CG method, and we have all types of curls from loose waves (2a) to super kinky hair (4b)

i was just conditioning my hair for like a week.
it was ok the first day. i think it might have been because every morning i would condition it, but it felt sooo weighed down and just bleh. then i washed it with shampoo and it was lovelier than ever. lolol

I tried the only-conditioner thing for a few days but my hair felt horrible, I couldn't stand it. It felt like I hadn't washed it at all.
Then again, I was using some really cheap stuff. I think if I stole a bit of my mum's tresemme it might work better.

Then again, I was using some really cheap stuff. I think if I stole a bit of my mum's tresemme it might work better. Tresemme has silicones in it, so it won't work. Also, the conditioner only thing takes 2 - 6 weeks for your hair to adjust. Don't just magically expect it to start working miracles right away.

there's a tresemme naturals or something that doesn't have any silicones in it apparently.
i'm going to use up all the conditioner i have, then buy that. it'll be a while, i have a giant bottle of tresemme. :<

oh yeah, it got greasy quickly and didn't smell all that clean but the lengths were lovely and no frizz.
I've been meaning to mess about with making my own natural hair stuff for a while so i think i'll do that.

For a month now, I've been only shampooing my scalp (with less and less amount of shampoo) and conditioning the length of my hair. Gotta admit it's pretty fabulous so far. It'll take longer to transition this way, but I don't mind. Maybe the grease factor will be tamed more comfortably, 'cause I've already extended washing from every other day to every three days. :3

what is the "pure coconut oil and detangling spray" you used?
i have naturally wavy hair and i feel like me straightening it all these years has kinda lost some of the wavy-ness of it, so i'm trying to get it back. >>
