It was another tough day today. Chath forgot his water bottle, when he decided he wanted to play hide and seek on me. Unfortunately he hid in a closet and I couldn't find him anywhere.

Luckily he was able to stumble out before his condition got too bad. From now on I am taking Sciz's advice and keeping a bathtub always with 1 inch of water in it. In case of emergencies.

Chath is slowly warming up to me. Of course I found out that I am more fearful of frogs than i am newts which help. OH. Chath also did some more of the alphabet excercises i picked up for him. I am so happy he actually is enthusiastic on learning.




He managed to complete these two sheets. And wants me to go get more. I see he is more of a hands on learner, the flashcards i bought may be more useful when he is older. Now i just need to work on numbers...

This morning Chath had gotten up before I did. It was odd waking up going about my normal routine and then finding my little boy had wandered off.

Paniced I called his name and looked for him everywhere. Afriad he may of drowned in the 1" of water in the bathtub i rushed to the bathroom first. Thankfully he wasn't there, though wet foot prints indicated he had been around. Trying to track where these footprints led i soon found myself in the kitchen.

Chath aws sitting there doddling away on the last of the alphabet worksheets i had gotten for him. He looked up breifly before going back to his work.

I asked if he wanted breakfast and got no reply, I have been having a hard time getting him to eat, I am afriad he will lose too much weight at this rate. But he has been drinking lots of water which is a relief.

When Chath was done the last three sheets he asked me to put them on the fridge. Now the whole front of out fridge is covered with his work. It makes me somewhat proud.

Today Chath told me that he wanted to see Lian again. He also wanted to get Lian a gift. I am surprised how much he adores the rock Lian gave him and his patience to see Lian is waining. Apparantly waiting one week seems too long. BUt on the other hand I have been gathering a whole assortment of costumes for the piar of them to wear. I know Chath is shorter than Lian so i am having difficulties making sure i find costumes that will fit him.

WHich reminds me I need to call Sciz and ask what kind of snacks would be appropriate for Sciz to eat. Must remind myself to call him. So instead of having Chath bug me all day (I am surprised how much he can whine) I decided to give him the numbers sheet to work with. Thankfully he went and did it, though he was quite relunctant and not nearly as enthused as the abc work sheets.



I have posted the numbers on the fridge, but found i needed to take the alphabet down. There was just too many pages. He seemed angry at first but after i explained it to him, he was a bit more understanding but still not happy with it.

Lately I have tried to comb his hair off to one side. I think it looked cute on him, but his hair is too short to really do much except a mohawk with. he doesn't really seem to mind his hair being scruffy like that. Perhaps i will try and get him to grow his hair out longer.

I was surprised to find a document addressed to both Chath and myself in the mail box. When opening it up I found out it was from D-corp and it was requiring that Chath fill out the form inside.

He was very excited to find out the letter was more so addressed to him than me he was wearing a light bathrobe since I had just got him out of the bath.

I sat him down and showed him how to spell his name, as well as Lian's. I thought it might be a bit difficult to explain he could write four as 4 as well are four, so i jsut let him put the number in instead.

Once he was done I promptly mailed it back to the company. I certainly hope they got it. It seemed really important.

To the doctors?


Jayoku had been preparing breakfast when Chath slugishly came into the kitchen. His head hung low, as if he had been up all night. "Chath did you wash your hands before breakfast?" she asked keeping an eye on him as she moved abouit the kitchen. Chath only replied with a dull nod of his head as he slid into chair. He leaned on his hands as if he needed the support to keep himself upright.

Turning Jay placed the plate of snails in front of him. She had discovered after going to a resturant one night that Chath really enjoyed Escargot or in english...slugs. She had been abe to find a grocery store that sold snails botteled in a jar, she thought she would surprise him with the treat for breakfast.

Chath however took a look at the snails and picked one up with his fingers without a word and popped it into him mouth. He sucked the little slug out of the shell before popping the shell back out. But he didn't seem happy.

Chath had awoken feeling off today. He couldn't figure out why. His heart kept beating as if he had just dashed down the hall, he felt tired, and extremly thirsty. He thought if he had a soak in the tub like he did every morning he would feel better. But instead he felt just about the same.

He was surprised that Jay had gotten him his favorite thing to eat, but his numb mind couldn't bring up any form of thankyou at the moment. He sucked on the snail shell and felt his poor dry throat itch with irritation. After spitting the shell out of his mouth he looked to his mother. "Mama....can i have smoe water?" he asked his voice even sounding a bit dry. Jay had turned looked at him with some worry and fetch him his favorite cup and poured some cool water into it.

He took the cup and greedily drank the contents, and yet it didn't seem to slake the dryness in his mouth and throat. "May I have more?" he asked trying to remind himself to be polite.

Jay took his cup and refilled it, she was now getting worried. Hanging him the cup she placed the back of her hand against his forhead. He recoiled at the touch since his skin was so sensitive. But the breif moment she had touched him was anough to determine he didn't have a fever. Just to make sure she went and retrieved the thermometor from the bathroom and came back to the kitchen. Once he was done his second glass of water she asked for him to stick the tip of the thermometor under his tongue and wait for it to beep.

He did as he was told and when it beeped Jay took it out of his mouth and discovered that indeed he had no fever. Scratching her cheek she looked to him again. "I think we should make you a doctors appointment..." she announced her voice rather muted..." Chath didn't repy.

It had become part of Chath's routine to check the mail box every morning. Jayoku had protested at first but soon gave up on trying to get him to stop. When the door bell rang this morning it was like any other day.

"I'LL GET IT!" Chath nearly screamed as he stopped what he was doing and dashed for the front door. As he sung the door open he only heard the distant roar of the motercycle but saw no mailman. Strange...

Chath was confused but soon his eyes spotted a small box lying ont he ground. A note was on top of it, he bent to pick it up and read the note. His eyes opened in surprise after reading it and he tore the box open to see the precious gift inside.

he took the stone out gently as if it could break in the wind. He was amazed by it, stunned even. The silence and awe he felt...lasted but a moment.

"MOM!!!" he shouted taking the box, note and rock in hand and slamming the door shut and headed for the living room. Jayoku looked as if lightning had struck her, as she was half siting up her glasses askew.

"What is it honey?"She asked looking as if she had been napping a moment ago.

"Mom mom! look what Lian gave me!!" he cried out excitedly waving the trinket around in his webbed hand. "Mom can i please get a chain so i can wear it???" he asked pleadingly, he knew asking to wear it as an earing would be out of the question.

Jayoku nodded and stood cracking her back as she did so. She headed off to her bedroom and opened her jewelry case and riffeled through it. Taking out a silver chain she handed it to Chath who had trotted close behind her. He snatched the chain and fiddeled with the clasp to get it open.

He then faught to get it around his neck. Jay eventually helped him, but he wore the trinket proudly. "Mom now I MUST get something for Lian." He stated with a nod of his head before he turned around and marched out of the room before Jay could even answer.
