Takera watched as more and more shinobi entered the hut looking for their scrolls, but still only a very few had caught his eyes. He watched as someone came in and began looking for their scroll, but they seemed distressed as though they were having trouble. Takera was almost curious to know what was giving the shinobi trouble in finding his scroll, but he had bigger troubles. In particular, he noticed two enter the hut he'd have rather not seen again so soon. Takera watched as Kyu and Hibiki entered and searched the table for their scrolls. He noticed Kyu walk across to the other side of the room and go through his own scroll while leaning against the wall. Afterwards it almost seemed as if he'd been looking around himself and trying to listen in, but from where he was and with all the people, Takera doubted he'd be heard very well at all from across the room. Turning his attention back to Hibiki, Takera listened as Hibiki made comments about the exam, but picked up almost nothing useful from it. Just then a hand moved out and pushed Takera aside. In the moment of it, he turned to see Kyu trying to push him away from the dark-skinned girl with a comment that contridicted his hands on approach toward Takera. Kyu attempted to get close to the girl, but Takera immediately moved as he began to speak a very cheezy pick up line and found himself standing between the two of them once more. He caught the end of the pick-up line and his eyebrow raised. "Awe. How sweet, but I don't swing that way, 'bro'." Takera remarked as he was now face to face with Kyu. It was pretty clear if Kyu wanted to talk, he'd have to move to the other side, as Takera wasn't exactly ready to move yet.

Meistu received her scroll and quickly pocketed it and then looked around at all the others within the test area she wasn't sure how to even start she even recognized Rizu from before, but that was little to no help since she was terrible at reading faces she was rather knew to the more covert ops sides of the ninja world all this time in her training she had been a solider to her master so the lying and deceptive thing was rather knew their style had been fist over mouth, style of doing things so now she needed to rely on her own skills and she remember no jutsu where aloud to be used to alter people's thoughts or feelings towards one another so she wouldn't have to worry about that though she was sure she could see any jutsu coming a mile away, she was always smart enough to spot them.

Meistu made her way a bit away from everyone and bite her lower lip looking around again for the viewing area she was more worried about Zagula than the people she was supposed to be studying, but she did use her peripheral vision to keep a slight eye on the contestants but there was no viewing area in sight she linked back to her close who was still simply walking about with Zagula apparently there was not a pre seating area available, Meistu came back to herself and sighed before looking back at the task that was before her, she noticed a larger group was gathering of three men and one girl, Meistu wondered what that was about but she did not approach she simply watched she also Kept and eye on Rizu, she figured he would either be obvious or the hardest to read since he was the only one she had interacted with prior to the exam, this was going to be no easy task, Meistu light gray eyes shot around the room looking for any kind of signle some kind of tell her master had always loved playing poker but she had never gotten to but she did know what a tell was.

Kyu straightened up when the masqueraded ninja jumped in front of Kyu again. The boy stood in between Kyu and the dark-skinned desert ninja. He made a clever insult towards the fishy genin, and got face to face with Kyuzaku. Kyu raised an eyebrow, and thought, Heh, ballsy. Not many people get in the way of a shark. I'm in a good mood though, I'll play along.

Kyu shifted to the side, looking over the genin's shoulder. He muttered to himself, "That's odd." Kyu took a step back, and looked up and down the ninja in front of him, "It would appear that a wall of air jumped in my path. No, maybe a sheet of glass. Forcefield?"

Kyu put his hands in front of his face to make a square frame, "Yea... It's like... Right there. Something so invisible... Something so stealthy... Not even a shinobi with a cheesy mask and skin-tight top could be this stealthy..." Kyu leaned around the ninja again, "You know what, I think I'll ignore it. Nothing so invisible could be important at all. Not important. At. All."

Kyu quickly shifted around to the desert girl's front, and put out his hand. With sparkles in his eyes, he said, "My name is Kyuzaku Hoshigaki, of Kirigakure. I'm very pleased to meet you, miss."

Notwen's eyes closed half way, a gesture signifying he was annoyed, when Hatari said it was better to be upfront than to keep secrets.
Riiight... he thought, almost rolling his eyes, but then his interest sparked up when the samurai declared that he knew it was the dark-skinned blonde that had taken the street urchin from his grasp. Notwen's interest faded when Hatari tried justifying his cruelty by saying it taught the kid to be confident, and was a means of unlocking his true potential. He then continued to try to recruit the dark-skinned blonde to his team, something that was in the back of his head in considering at that point. The test said nothing about a time limit, and i don't see how it would take ten days for all of us to group ourselves into teams. Maybe a few hours, but not ten days. Shaking his head, the crippled Uchiha looked Hatari square in the eyes. "I don't believe in using such perverse methods to inspire people to do wrong. As for joining up with you, i'll take it into consideration, but am not really inclined to doing so." Notwen turned around and saw that several other participants had started mingling. Turning his face so he could see Hatari from an angle, the crippled Uchiha waved at him with his right hand and said, "Happy hunting!" with a smile before walking away.

By now a small group had formed by the hut. It included the white-haired guy with the mask, the girl from the Hidden Sand, and a kid with blue skin who appeared to be making a move on the girl. Notwen walked up to the small cluster. "Hey, kid with the mask. I'm not sure if my eyes were deceiving me, but i think you were checking me out earlier. Like what you see?" he asked, brushing back his blonde hair with his hand. This movement caused the pendant hanging around his neck to catch the light and glint brightly.

Takera stood watching Kyu as he began to speak and put on a show. Takera shrugged at the fishman's first attempt to insult him with a comment about Takera being nothing, but an invisible obstruction of his path. "Whatever it is, atleast is doesn't smell like rotten fish. I wish I could say the same for you though. Takera immediately responded as he waved a hand infront of his nose and turned his head away slightly. Kyu then put his hands in the form of a square frame looking towards Takera and continued his insult further by mocking Takera's choice of clothing and apparel. He's mocking my clothing while looking like that? Heh. Takera thought to himself as he began smirking. He had close to laughing, but stopped himself and regained his composure. The fishman spoke one final time before proceeding to move around him and towards the front of the girl behind him. Takera sighed and spoke under his breath. "This is going to be interesting." before turning around to face the two of them. After listening to the overbaked introduction, he stood there just watching the two and listening to their conversation, but his attention was split as he still felt it necessary to keep an eye on the shinobi that were still coming in.

At that point the dark-skinned boy who was missing an arm had walked up. He addressed Takera with an amusing comment as if to interject and contridict Takera's earlier statement, but he'd come a tad late to the conversation and missed his mark. Takera's head hung down for a second and his weight shifted to slump on one side. He looked over at the crippled boy addressing him. "Oh har har, Mr. Egotist. If I were really watching you specifically, I wouldn't have had the displeasure of getting caught up in verbal warfare with the fishstick." Takera shook his head lightly and turned to face the crippled dark-skinned boy. His eyebrow raised slightly seeing the boy's necklace and remembering it from the time he saw him in Cloud Village. "That necklace seems awfully familiar, but I can't seem to recall where I've seen it before." Takera spoke as he made a statement almost like that of a question not meant to be answered, but simply hang there.

After getting the directions to the village gate, he was given directions to a rather small hut in which many shinobi from all over were gathering. There was a small line up as everyone was slowly filling it. He knew that Mayu would be behind him shortly so there was no need to be worried about her, plus she seemed to have a pretty good handle on what to do in sertian events. As he slowly entered the doorway and looked around. He walked in the line and then looked at a table with a message on the wall behind it. The table had scrolls on it, so he desided to read the message behind the table to get an idea on what to do, then he started to review it in his mind. So they were to read their scroll and then follow it's instructions. This seemed to be simple enough, so he moved forward, grabbed his scroll then moved to a part of the hut where there was enough room to read this scroll alone before anyone else could sneak in and take a peek. He looked down in his hand at the scroll and figured it was time to start. "Hayato" He stated in a natural toned voice in which unlocked his scroll. Once unlocked, he quickly read the contents of scroll then dipossed of the now blank scroll. So this part of the exams was about information gathering. He nodded lightly as he looked up and into the crowd of shinobi. This was going to be interesting, seeing as lying and figuring out if someone was straight up playing you for a fool was what most shinobi should be able to do quiet well. This was later on in skill though, so this early on Hayato figured it would be a challange into who was trust worthy and who wasn't. Who he'd need to lye to and who to speak the truth to.

Hatari looked to the crippled young boy and gently chucked before waving the kids stern look away. " I do feel like a team should work together no matter what situation; for instance, who knows if we'll be doing a team mission as a second exam and what not. I'm just coming to you because I know some what of what your capable of, do you understand. Smart strategics are those who win a war, those who act upon impulse are nothing more than mindless brutes..." Hatari couldn't help but notice the others talking amongst themselves, no one stuck out immediately as they all seemed so normal. Then the one by the name of Kyuzaku got his attention by being abruptly rude to the boy in the mask. Hatari Sighed once more just before giggling to himself. "Kyuzaku is it? what makes you feel as if you need to be pushy all of a sudden? something got you on edge?" He couldn't help the others around him; however, his attention was to the blond kid as well as the boy named Kyuzaku. Hatari was simply not sure entirely about this mission, there seemed to be allot of unknown obstacles within this first exam. No matter the issue, it would work out none the less.

After the voice had finished announcing the event and the requirments Kira walked to the area which held the scrolls. Scanning through what was left he found his name and removed it carefully. After reading the contents he placed it back. 'Hmm.. This could be tricky..' Kira took a quick glance around the room and tried to see who all he could recognize.. then again those who were recognizable could also be his worst enemies because he already had a base trust that could be utilized if they were invaders. 's**t this is going to be hard.. Who the hell do I trust.. How am I going to do this.' Suddenly a light went off in his head.

Kira thought for a moment, weighting what could happen if his plan went through.. either people would trust him, or they wouldn't. It would be up to them.. He went to the center of the room and took in a deep breath, picked up the scroll again (though he couldn't read it) and spoke loud enough for all to hear as he pretended to read the scroll.."So I'm an Ally?.. Who wants to be in my team?"

Sorain noticed a familer face and breathed a sigh of relief that he may be able to at least understand what he was supposed to be doing. Taking a quick moment to try and get a judgement of the people around him, he made his way casually over to Meistu and leaned down to speak to her. He was already taller than her, but since the opporation he was now much taller than she could have remembered. Moving himself close enough to whisper so that only Meistu could hear him Sorain verbalized his weakness, "..As you may remember, the last time we spoke I informed you that I was blind. Although I do now have my vision returned to me, I am still for the most part.. illiterate..could you explain the rules of this test for me?" Sorain hated the idea that he was exposing himself in such a way. Never in his life had he ever resorted to asking for help in such a desperate manner, but the fact remained that he was tragically inept at finishing this test properly due to his inability to read. As he spoke his mind began to race for a possible solution to this problem, if the test required one to read the scrolls in order to participate, would that also mean that one would need to have read the scroll to complete the test!? Crunching his face in grief, Sorain was forced to come to the realization that it was possible that he would fail this test, he whom he considered the most powerful in the room, was for the moment left the weakest.

Kyu's eyebrow raised as a new ninja came to question his intentions. As his right hand was still out in a greeting, Kyu amplified his speach with his left hand. He flourished his hand, but never wavered his intense eyes from the girl as he spoke, "Pushy? On edge? Not me, bro. I simply wish to find a beautiful kunoichi to share the afternoon after the group clears out. Someone to share the sights and experiences of this most exotic town with. Or... Something like that. I'm not sure if you've ever done the math; but generally, to every one kunoichi, there are two male shinobi. And only so few are as unique and beautiful as the desert flower before us."

"And when I see such a rare sight... no wall, invisible or otherwise, will get in my way. Understand me, bro? No deceitful comments and whispers will strike me down, whether they are thrown from another ninja or inept zephyr. I simply will not allow it."

Hibiki watched as several Male Shinobi gathered around a Kunoichi. He shook his head in disappointment. "How ridiculous." He snickered as now they began to fight amongst themselves. New plan. Wait for the dust to settle and to see who gets stuck with who, then make a move. He nodded towards Kuro, who only knew half of what was on his partner's mind.

A crowd began to form around the Kunoichi, and began to diss and insult each other to gain her attention, or that was what his assessment was. The Inuzuka mulled over the idea of heading over and seeing why everyone was flocking around her like she was the last female of their species. He pushed it out of his head as it seemed his Sharky friend had the tactical advantage of the rest. "C'mon Kyu!' He shouted over the dull roar of the crowd, "GET IT!"

He howled obscenely, garnering the attention of some of the surrounding Genin, however, after he finished, a new voice announced the contents of his scroll. The voice automatically made the Vulpine duo perk up. It was one of the only other people, besides Kyu and Saikoro, that he respected. Kira!

The Inuzuka waded his way through the crowd with his Vulpes right behind him. "Kira!" He called out with a wide, childish grin planted on his face, "Long time, no see! What have you been up to?"

“I see…” she commented as the sudden influx of individuals around her appeared. “it is going no better than moments earlier, I do know three variations of karate among other forms of martial arts though Karate is not my strong suit I’m surprised you could detect such muscle variations with just a glance…” She explained nonchalantly answering both of their comments in order of presentation being sure to look to each as she spoke. “I’m not sure if the two of you have had interactions before but your squabbling is childish and hardly suits the requirements behind this exam…” she continued as she watched the two another male approached the person who had one arm. “You seem to be from the desert but your headband states otherwise… that makes you questionable to me however desert folk have reasons for their actions so you will not be counted out.” She commented bluntly before turning her attention to the blue boy as he commented on her appearance. “Though your comments are flattering and I appreciate the gesture Kyuzaku Hoshigaki it isn’t going to aid you in winning over trust from me, in fact it might even have brought forth more suspicion to your character… however if we all intend to team up we should establish methods as well as exercises to evaluate ones intentions…” She explained not really picking up on the almost painful attempts made by the blue one to hit on her. “I am Kidomaru Hatsuma of Sunagakure, that is all the information that is needed for now…” she stated introducing herself in a rather hasty manner. She had come to a conclusion, regardless of the rules she would simply seek out the best potential team mates based on their skill sets rather than analyze deeply into trying to find the false roles that were applied to these people, though if they followed them well it would be blatant as to who she should and should not trust. So far the blue individual seemed reliable in regards of drive though his motives were a bit askew, the masked individual certainly valued secrecy, the man with one arm certainly had passion for his task, and these were all important qualities and would certainly be beneficial as a team, though any of them could be the ‘enemy’ at this point. She would wait and analyze these individuals further to confirm if they were suitable comrades. She had yet to see Oasis and intended to partner with her regardless of her assigned role because she knew in reality the girl’s reliability.

Kyu dropped his untouched hand to his side, and remained speechless for a moment. Is this girl for real? She completely misinterpreted everything I said. I mean... I've been rejected before, sure... but never have I been misinterpreted. Was I not clear enough. Or is she that dense... Maybe not dense, but what else could you call it... Simple-minded... perhaps oblivious...Not necessarily in a negative way though. But... How exactly do I respond to that?

Kyu put his hands to his hips, and regained his composure with a sigh, "Intellectual, professional, and to-the-point. You are definitely made from a different mold, but a good one at that. Different as it may be, I think I get what you're saying." Kyu crouched down to Hatsuma's level. He rested his arms on his bent knees, and said, "What I think you're saying is that we need a method to prove our trustworthiness, correct? Something more than simply accusing another of being an invader, or pointing fingers at the guy who's a bit too forward or a bit too anxious. In a time that even your day-to-day best friend could be an enemy, and your average nemesis could be your ally, you'd need to come up with a test to deduct where your acquaintance's loyalties really lie."

Kyu's mind was buzzing as he thought out loud, "Usually, a code word, signal, or a unique item would be satisfactory for figuring out who's a friend or who's an enemy. In other higher risk scenarios, chakra tests and blood tests can be used for this same practice. However, in this case, we're a mixed bag of nationalities and allegiances. For most of us, there's no common ground to stand on. Everyone is a stranger, even those who you've known your entire life." Kyu rubbed his thumb and forefinger together, thoughtfully pondering the puzzle, "Hatsuma, would you happen to have such a method for weeding out the untrustworthy, even if you or I were to be such a case?"

Notwen's comment seemed to have little to no effect on the masked boy, but he had an interesting way of turning jokes aimed at him on other people. the dark-skinned blonde chuckled to himself.
An insult prism... Pretty darn unique! The white-haired boy went on to voice that he had seen a necklace 'awfully' similar to the one around his neck somewhere before. That statement caused several warning bells to ring in his head. Chances are that he could have had contact with Novvus, but i'll bring it up later.

Apparently Hatari seemed to have interest in the blue-skinned shinobi that was hitting on the dark-skinned kunoichi from Wind Country. He walked up to him and started asking him why he was so pushy all of a sudden. Kyuzaku, as he had been addressed as by the samurai, replied without averting his gaze from the girl. It amused Notwen how he incorporated math in the present situation, saying how the ratio of male to female ninja was two to one and also commenting on the girl's looks. At that point some kid near the center of the hut announced that he was an ally and at the same time inviting people to team up with him. There was also a hoot from somewhere close to the center from a kid who was apparently one of Kyuzaku's friends. Kira, the kid who announced he was an ally, got together with the boy who had tried to spur his friend's efforts and started having a chat.
These guys must be from the same village or something... observed Notwen

Now the girl began to talk, apparently having had enough of what was going on around her. She began by saying that the squabble between Kyu and the masked-kid was childish. Then the girl moved on to address the crippled Uchiha, saying how he seemed to be a desert native but that the fact that his headband showed otherwise made him questionable. To that she bluntly added that 'desert folk had reasons to their actions' so he wouldn't be counted out. Notwen raised an eyebrow in astonishment.
This girl... Nothing escapes her... he thought while scratching the back of his head. The girl then shot down Kyu's attempts to woo her, and said it was a reason for suspicion to be put on him. After a final statement about establishing reasons and exercises to gauge the intentions before forging a team, the girl introduced himself as Kidomaru Hatsuma of Sunagakure.
"Nice to meet you Hatsuma. My name is Notwen of the Uchiha Clan. Your assumption of my origins are correct. I do, in fact, hail from Wind Country." said the dark-skinned blonde, strtching his arm out for her to shake.

“Precisely, it’s better to understand who you are dealing with in any given situation even outside of such trials. Pointing fingers gets absolutely nowhere and only brings up areas of contention among individuals who might otherwise have common goals, interests and ideals.” She explained still seated on the bench she had been since she read the scroll, it was good he understood it made things much simpler. “as you said we don’t have codes nor any other methods of determining one’s intentions the best we can do is to go from intuition alone on the matter…” She explained further looking past the blue one named kyu examining other competitors. “In the end these are simply games and being hung up upon the rules to try and figure out where your place should be you should instead concentrate on finding values in people who actually might be beneficial to your current plight. I find the rules irrelevant in regards as to how one should pick team members only that choosing your team is important just as it is in reality.” She explained blatantly, “I intend to test potential squad members and find attributes that will compliment my own as well as a functional team as a whole, there really won’t be a scientific process aside from preferences I look for in reality, outside of these exams.” She finished hopefully making her point quite clear as to how she intended to weed out her party from the crowd. Turning to address the one armed individual she simply bowed at him respectfully. “It’s helpful to have someone of the same country here even though your allegiances have altered, I accept your introduction, Uchiha of the sands.” She commented respectfully to the boy who likely had a difficult journey behind him, she would hold no ill will towards the boy in any way for changing the village he served as it was common amongst shinobi in her tribe to transfer between caravans for various reasons.
