Her backpack had been parked by the door, which she picked up and hoisted onto her shoulder. For a brief second she almost looked like she was off balance, since her back was now heavier than she last remembered it to be. As they went down the stairs, she made certain to grab onto the railing, just in case she floated away. That would suck to float away and all.
At the end of the stairs, she continued to follow the leader until he pointed out his vehicle again. She got up close to it, giving it a look over, as if judging what little work he had done.
"God... yer such a nerd!" She tapped the Halo sticker, chuckling slightly. With a pretty easy grin, she pulled her backpack off and began to dig around on the inside.
"It's a good thing I came prepared for fixin' somethin' like this..." Had she been a normal girl, she might have carried a purse that had girlish delights inside, like lipstick, blush, and things to make her look even more feminine. However, this was Ellie Spectre. Her backpack itself spoke volumes about her femininity, and the objects she kept in the bag just seemed to suit her. It wasn't strange at all when she started to pull out small tools, though every so often, she paused and gave the tool itself a pretty good look over, as if making sure it hadn't sprouted some new appendage.
"It won't be gay when I'm done." She already had a small wrench up to the end of the Flyscooter, loosening sections like it was second nature to her.

Sheldon wanted to reply a very obvious 'DUH' as she commented on his Halo sticker. Had she not seen his apartment, heard him talk or seen his neighbor? He wasn't a complete and utter nerd but he was a nerd at least in the slightest. He was also just about ready to roll his eyes as he casually popped bits of trisket into his mouth.
The cracker barely made it into his mouth and he really nearly choked on it as the rest of the box scattered to the ground and spun a little ways away from the force it was dropped. Sheldon's hazed eyes comically bulged wide when she pulled out her tool kit and went to work. Incoherent sounds came out of his mouth and he then nearly dropped the joint that was still in hand, but those hands still went to pull at his hair. "BWA!" He cried out in surprise when a few of the sections came off with ease.
Who the hell carried a tiny little tool kit in their backpack?! What the hell did Ellie do with it? Was she like a secret mender of things or something who moonlighted as a simple school girl. "What are you DOING?!" He cried out in a pitch that was really too high for a guy his age.

By the time the question had been asked, there was already a piece on the ground. "My god, are you having a heart attack?" Her voice was a bit raspy, as was her laugh that followed. Did she have any intentions on stopping? It really didn't seem like it. Her fingers were already onto the next section, loosening a panel of metal. It wasn't exactly like he had told her to stop (then again, like she'd listen to that).
"I already told ya... makin' this be not gay... dude... I know what I'm doin'... so jus' shut up already..." She grinned at the vehicle, though the smile itself was probably meant for Sheldon to see.
"And don't go dyin' or anythin' over this..."

Sheldon didn't reply, his head was currently resting against the nearest wall. His arms dangled loosely, swaying lamely when one of them wasn't taking a few remaining hits of the marijuana joint he still possessed. Yes, that was working, it was bringing him down from his panic attack. Yes, calming. Soothing. Oh god, his biiiike.
"It better be amazing," his head didn't turn or anything but he conveyed his words with frantic waves his hands and arms. "Like... like it better go back in time when it reaches 88 miles per hour or something...."
His biiiiiiiiiike. He refrained from beating his head against the wall, that would probably cause more harm than good really. But at least he wouldn't be dying over this whole thing because he would have knocked himself out.

The girl snorted gracelessly.
"Old movie references... Ffffffff!" There was a bit of clatter as she got the panel off. Normally she would have been more careful, but despite knowing what she was doing, every so often her fingers seemed to not react properly. It was weird.
However, she was making quick work of this project. Sure, Sheldon probably wanted to smack Ellie across the head to get her to stop, but with every minute that passed that he didn't, she was making a rather large pile of parts on the ground. She could have kept going, seeming strangely into the project.
Until her stomach let out a rather loud noise.
The blonde didn't even hesitate. She just stood up, taking the tools she had at hand to put back in her backpack (while leaving one of her wrenches amidst the pile). Once packed up, she made her way to Sheldon. "Dude... you got any tortilla chips or somethin'? ...I'm starvin'..."

Sheldon tried really hard to ignore the clutter and clangs as Ellie pried off the panels to his happy little bike. He had been so proud to have gotten it, and now Ellie was crushing them.. crushing them so hard. And there didn't seem to be enough weed to ease his woes, the blunt was almost done.
"I asked you if you were hungry before," Sheldon muttered from the wall before finally pushing himself off of it. His forehead, at the hairline, was a little red from how hard he had actually pressed his head against the cold cement but that obviously was lost to him as his half lidded nearly bloodshot eyes glanced around the area for a yellow box.
"You could have floor triskets!" He mused, the problems with his bike nearly forgotten ... until his gaze fell upon it and his mood once against dropped. Se had taken so much of it off, it called for a sniffle.

As the blonde approached, she attempted a matter-of-fact tone. However, it came out a bit lazier sounding than she probably was going for. "I wasn't hungry before." She pulled up next to him at the wall, back flat against the cement.
"Floor triskets?" she repeated in a slow, uncertain manner. Her eyes fell to the ground as if to locate the floor triskets. There were several crackers on the ground, with a few that had been stepped on. She couldn't quite figure out who had done such a thing to the floor triskets, even if her boots had bits of shredded wheat stuck in the cracks.
"Floor triskets aren't Mexican food.... let's get Mexican food... come on Hobbes... Meeeeeeeexicaaaaaan fooooooooooood...." She let out a decent snort almost like a pig in amusement at the words she spoke. "Hawwwwwwbbes... dude... where's the closest Mexican food place... come on Hawwwwwwwwwwwwbbes!!"

It was like a thousand small voices cried out and then were silenced. For Ellie had stepped upon some of the floor triskets, those lost souls would be missed. Sheldon oddly stared at them for longer than he should have and missed Ellie's sudden appearance next to him.
"Hmmm?" He asked in a slow drawn out fashion, his head turning in near slow motion to her request. "Mexican food?" Sheldon parroted, blinking ever so slowly and out of sync. Mexican food, oh yeah... tacos. Tacos. "I think King Taco is still open..." What time was it anyways? It was night, so late? Yeah, King Taco was open late. "It's that way," he pointed hopefully in the right direction, "we can walk." Sheldon was used to walking anywhere anyways.

"King Taco..." Her voice didn't really sound pleased, but it also seemed to hold a hint of a musing tone. She wasn't exactly against King Taco, since it did wonders when needing a quick fix for a taco. However, Ellie considered it the lesser form of Mexican food. Americanized Mexican food. Even now with her mind somewhat floating in the clouds, she didn't seem 100% sold on the idea of King Taco for her sudden hunger.
"...better than nothin'..." Leaning in a bit closer so she could follow with her eyes the direction his arm was pointing in. With that, she willed her feet to move in said direction. Her boots seemed a bit sluggish to start, but soon enough she was on her way down the sidewalk, leaving behind a mess of parts from Sheldon's vehicle and a wrench.

Aa, the blissful notions of getting high. Sheldon was now distracted from his bike being in pieces on the ground only a few feet away from the pair. He would probably recall it later, as his mind often liked to torment him, but for now he was focused on the idea of hot Mexican food. And his eye twitched a little.
"Better than nothing?" Did she just diss the splender of the simplicity that was King Taco? The majesty of their fresh food and the fact they even were open this late? What did she want? To go to Mexico for food? His eye twitched yet again as he followed suit and after her in the direction of the magical land of Mexican food that he held near dear on nights like these, even the nights he got high and was not being attacked by something. "King Taco is amaaaaazing" It was scary how much he sounded like the nerd from Robot Chicken.

"King Taco.... is American...." She went stepping along, not seeming to notice she was in the lead when she in fact did not know the directions as well as Sheldon did. However, she did notice something. She paused in step and looked back to the green haired comrade who began to catch up to her.
"Do ya have.... a clothes pin or somethin'?" Ellie stretched out a hand, and as he got close, she just felt his face, across the nose, as if looking for what was making Sheldon's voice get so nasally. The teen didn't seem to find what she was looking for, and just as fast as she had smooshed her hand over the bridge of his nose, she whipped it back to her side.
"Yer voice sounds so funny right now, dude..." she eventually said with a rather easy going smile. Her eyes flicked away for a moment, as if someone had called out her name in another direction. Yet there wasn't anything there that she could make out. That was a bit weird.
"Hobbes... did... didja jus' say somethin'?" Gold eyes eventually flicked back to the other pair of gold eyes.

"So?" Sheldon questioned the girl as she suddenly went to probing and inspecting his face. A-what? And then he lost the his sense of smell. There was a moment of panic, his arms were ready to flail but then Ellie was gone just as fast.
"Where would I have had a clothes pin?" Pockets were forgotten, as were most things. Blissful haze, aha. But there was another matter at hand and another question being asked. And all Sheldon did in response was blink and look around.
"Huh?" Another slow glance of the area offered nothing. The streets they had been traveling on seemed desserted, the night was calm and silent [well, in that part of the city anyways].

Though the area seemed deserted, it was in fact, not completely deserted. Around the corner, two green eyes peered out carefully.
What in the world is wrong with that girl?! the pale feline mentally grumbled as she once more attempted to get the unhenshined senshi's attention. "Ellie!" After calling out that name, she ducked back to the other side of the wall, hoping that maybe she could lure that tomboy to her.
Unfortunately, the blonde was a bit slow on the uptake it seemed right now. At first she let out a huge snorting laughter at Sheldon. "God, Hobbes... it sounded like it was on yer face!" She laughed and gave him a firm pat on the shoulder before leaning forward a bit, eyes once more darting away from her companion.
"...dude... totally heard it again...wha... what was that?" She let out half a laugh.
Oh god... no... not now... Bad Ellie!!! A certain manx was now frowning from her semi-hiding place.

"Oh ...." Oh, now Sheldon's mind was puzzling this all out. For how many times he had taken a hit, this should have been so terribly obvious as to what Ellie was experiencing. "Oh dude, dude.... you're totally hallucinating!" He was a little too giddy over this revelation, maybe it was because of the person who was experiencing them.
Though, had she even had enough to have them? Aa, too much thinking. This was fun. "Dude, totally normal to have them. Totally," he didn't sound terribly reassuring but he grabbed Ellie by the arm and ushered her further down the street and closer to the little manx cat that was trying to get the blonde's attention.

The ushering didn't seem to get a favorable response, for soon enough Ellie was swatting a hand in his general direction. "I ain't hallucinatin' dude... someone... some... someone totally said my name..."
The poor manx's ears were already flattened against her head. In a vaguely more agitated tone, she tried again, a bit louder. "Ellie!"
This time, the blonde was a bit quicker to take notice of her name's mention through the seemingly empty street. "There it was again... dude... don't tell me ya didn't hear that one this time!!" She squirmed a bit in an effort to get her arm loose from his hand, easily breaking free.
