"Fishing?" he repeated. "That's a fishing puddle--" He stopped, his ears twitching as he heard someone calling in the distance. He was clearly torn, because he looked to the voice, then at the puddle again. What was fishing like? Had she caught something--
Another call came and he inwardly groaned, giving up. "I'll look for myself later," he told her, almost threateningly. Then he turned to go to who was calling for him. He HAD gotten awfully far from the family for a while, after all.
"What's your name?" he asked abruptly. "Mine's Ande."

Theluji looked up toward the calling voice. She didn't know who it was, so they weren't calling her. "You can see any time you like. It's a free puddle." It's not like she claimed anything but her trophy. And her mommy and her sisters and her brother. But that's all. "Theluji." She told him. "It means snow."

"Oh," he said. "Okay, Theluji," he said as he was called again. "I'll come back later!" he added before racing away. He was probably in trouble, but he didn't really mind. He had a new goal. He wanted to meet Mr. Azure!

"Bye, Ande!" She called after him. She wouldn't be here if he came back. She waited about five minutes listening to the crickets and things around the area. The fish splashed in the little fishing puddle now that it was so quiet. When Theluji thought he was gone and not coming back anytime soon, she dug up her trophy. It was a little dirty.
She dropped the dead fish into the fishing puddle to clean it off, scaring the other little fishes there. When it was good and clean, Theluji picked it back up into her mouth and made her way back through the underbush to where mommy waited for her.
Mr. Azure didn't come racing back out, so there wasn't anything else that he thought she should explore or anything. It didn't take her long to get back to her mommy and the pride. It took less time to get back than it did to stalk Mr. Azure into the swamp, because she didn't have to be quiet.
Once she could see mommy, Theluji stood straight and proud so mommy would see her catch. She stutted to mommy before dropping the fish at mommy's front paws and smiled.
