Delta Nine took Delta Five's hand. It was the best plan of action. They had to stick together for survival but that didn't mean that Delta Nine had to trust either of them. As far as she was concerned the only thing they had in common was the need to survive. That was all.

Still, there was something comforting in even the simple gesture of holding hands, and Delta Nine gave Five's hand a squeeze. Nine was no leader. She had the vaguest feeling she never had been. Five was taking charge and for that Nine was grateful.

"I'm coming," she said softly, then louder, "Lets go."

(Ah, sorry! Haven't been able to sleep much lately, so my brain is like swiss cheese when it comes to some things. ^^;;; And I'm sorry about the late reply, bad day and ended up out late. )

Thank goodness. Delta 5 let out a small sigh of relief as Delta 1 and Delta 9 took her hands, feeling the nagging voices retreating into the back of her mind even more now. She wasn't alone. There was no need to panic... as long as they stayed together, everything would be alright. Or at least this was what she was telling herself for the time being.

"I know that there is a lighthouse near by... I'm not sure what all else there is though or what might be there. The fog is too thick it seems to try looking any farther than that right now, so we could either try going there. Or maybe there is something else out here that wasn't marked on the map... knowing this place I wouldn't be surprised. But anything is better than sitting here waiting for something to attack or these phones to ring, so whenever you ladies are ready, lets get going." she said, more than ready to start walking when the other two were. There didn't seem to be much,,, just fog and more fog... but who knew what might happen next.

((Looks like there's a traveling thread open, so we can just maybe pick a direction (ie N S E or W) and 'end up' at the beach or the fields or something? After we post in said traveling thread, o'course.))

Delta Nine's brow wrinkled beneath the gas mask and she was silent for a long time. "Well," she said, squeezing Five's hand again, "lets just follow the path out. Once we come to a crossroad, we can make a decision on which way to go at that point?" That sounded easy enough, she supposed. Of course, if either of the others came up with an idea, she was game to follow.

"Speaking of the map... do either of you have it?" It seemed a prudent enough question.

((Ooo, traveling thread? I like the sound of that~))

Delta One listened to both Delta Nine and Delta Five before speaking. She wondered what would be the best course of action. If there were a path to follow, that would probably be best. Wouldn't want to end up falling over the side of a cliff due to wandering around blindly in the fog! Though she imagined a lot of the other Deltas and Thetas had either gone back to their camps or had seeked out the lighthouse itself. As she mulled these possibilities over, she noticed something. The fog...it was beginning to clear! And not far away, a path...Well, guess they didn't really need to hold hands anymore, as comforting as it was.
"I think following the path might be best for now...And no, I don't have the map." She cringed inwardly. She was the first one to wake in the tent, she should've snagged it! "I caught a glimpse at it though. Seems there is a beach, and an abandoned town....I can't remember what the other area was." She paused for a moment, then spoke again. "Did either of you manage to get bandages back at the tent? I had a squad mate with me that had, be we were separated." She didn't imagine either of them had, but it would be a nice turn of events if they did. She hesitantly let go of Delta Five's hand and started towards the path (assuming the other two were moving that way as well).

((Exiting to Travelling Thread?))

"No bandages here," D-Nine said wistfully. All she had was this gun that she wasn't very good at using, although by the end of the battle with the little beast she'd fought she was feeling pretty good about it. Just had to keep your eyes open.

She followed D-One, sending a glance behind her at D-Five. D-Nine was starting to feel antsy just standing around. D-One was eager to move as well, and D-Nine hurried to catch up to D-One. If D-Five followed, the more the merrier. If not, well... there wasn't anything that D-Nine could do about it, honestly.

Delta 5 had been wrapped up in her own little world for a moment while trying to figure out which way to start out on that wouldn't lead them into some huge pit trap or, heaven forbid, into another flaming pony of death. Thinking of that thing still gave her shivers.

Though she perked up when it sounded like the fog was lifting... and the more she looked around the less dangerous it seemed, for the time being. "Oh thank goodness we can actually get somewhere now, though unfortunately I didn't snag the map. Cornfields and something else, drat! I'll remember eventually." she sighed, glancing back towards the other two to see they were already heading off towards parts unknown. "Hey! Wait for me!"
