@Sosay
*facepalm* not exactly what I was expecting but sure I guess thats cool lol.

@Jwlz
Yeah I definitely think that I'm going to have to put that in the rulebook.

Can anyone else think of other rules or just suggestions? Anything really. I just want to make sure that people are speaking up.

I think it's time for a good ol' fashion Guild Sweep. Give people a week to post or have someone post for them. Then give guild members the ability to move to a different village if they wish. That could weed out the super-inactive and spread the love around the villages. I'd also suggest giving multiple crew members accept/deny power over customs and profiles. Should allow for faster action.

@Aaron
I know that you're new but is there any particular village that you are interested in?

@Tenchi
Yeah an activity check might be useful right about now. Though I'm not sure about the village changing thing, only because I have a feeling that might leave a few villages with close to 0 members. I think that every village just needs to come up with something special to add a bit more of a flare to their village and keep it running.

Giving the crew members multiple powers sounds like a good idea. I've actually been thinking about this for while. A lot of people tend to become frustrated over customs and that 8-day rule doesn't help. Personally I think it should be a 2-3 days rule. Also I think that the way people are told to wait for approval can sometimes come across as rude, especially to our new members since they are usually the ones posting in the custom threads as they are getting their characters together. The main concern however is definitely faster action, which is hopefully a problem that we can solve soon rather than later. I think that making the 8-day rule to a 2-3 day rule will make things go a bit smoother. Yes crew has lives of their own but they also have responsibilities to the guild. That is what separates a crew from a member.

@Tenchi and Keishi
What do you think of the "Private matters are to be private messaged rule"? Is it a keeper or no?'

EDIT:
Thanks Jwlz!

I agree with that rule, unless that private matter/argument may start to involve other members, or putting down the guild itself. Then, it would start to involve the crew of this guild, or the other members. Though, even if that rule is going to become enforced, I can see it getting broken multiple times in the long run.

Alright, here we go, I have an idea. I'll open up 5 to 6 new guilds. Each one of those guilds will be devoted strictly to a village and the village kage will be the leader of the village, also the forums will be hidden. Only members of the village in POTS will be able to join the corresponding guild that represents their village. In this new guild, members will be able to speak on tactics and different events for their village. This should promote more unity, and excitement in being part of a village. What do you all think?

Also just throwing this out there...I think that second RPCs should only be on a need basis. Just because I feel like it cuts down on so many elements that come with being a devoted member to a village.

I have to say I agree with you. Though I think that having the rule up and enforced may cut down on all the bickering that goes on here. As sad as it is to say though, its bound to be broken some times, but hopefully we can catch it each time, or try to.

Thanks! I also think that it might make the actual role-play a bit more interesting. People could make "secret" plans, and then you might find a bit a betrayal and things of that nature going on. Also it may cause more village pride.

A lot of members have been forced to leave the guild, hopefully temporarilly, to take care of real life matters. I think this has been one of the major causes of inactivity in the guild, though there isn't much of a solution but to get some more members.real life has a way of getting in the way of things.

I personally think the kage's job should already be spread around to the other leaders, Chuunin and up need to help keep things moving more that's their job. Of course the level of responsibility should be proportional to rank, a Sannin should be helping more than Jounin or Chuunin. The Kage should still do their jobs though, you are talking about spreading the power a little more, but the Kage is the person in charge and should still do their job. In fact, there should be higher penalties for autoranks not helping out. If you aren't training those who need to be trained, and/or taking the lower ranks on missions then what is the point in giving you that rank?

It almost feels like a village or two should be closed down, Oto's opening in retrospect seems extremely premature. The obvious problem with this idea is that people would lose their rpcs, which in itself is likely to cause people to get upset. A voluntary village sweep as suggested before might help a little with this. Give a short time for members to transfer their rpcs if for whatever reason they are not satisfied with their current village. I don't think this should be open to an Chuunin+ unless autoranks for that village will still be filled after they leave and the village they are moving to needs a ninja of that rank. (so if a village has 2 jounin one can transfer to another village if that village needs a Jounin) Perhaps everyone can get the chance to scrap a character regardless of rank but they would need to re-apply for any autoranks/bloodlines. a guild-wide check could certainly be done at the same time.

Village activity is only going to drop during the Chuunin exams, so I think they should be dragged out as little as possible. Last time activity reached a dangerous low. Genin in the exams would hopefully be active, but the villages will be even shorter on people. Basically dragging out the exams would be dangerous, though new members would certainly help get things active.

Gregar and Hinote shouldn't be the only crew faces we ever see, a guild can't function properly without a proper crew, the crew cleaning before should have fixed this issue, but for whatever reason it has not.

It's a bit bizarre for someone to return after 6 months and revive an old RPC. It screws with the village max, sometimes creates multiple autoranks etc. While I understand welcoming old members back with open arms, they shouldn't be allowed to mess up the order of things. I think there should be a max to how long a person can go on a hiatus and keep their rpc(s) probably some number of months, since weeks would be too harsh.

Like I said last time a similar question of how the guild could be improved was asked, I said that crew shouldn't focus so much on new shiny toys that they forget to maintain the old ones. Guild wide arcs don't need to become any more frequent, at least not crew run ones, they should be allowed to happen on their own like the Death dealers did. members should take a bit more control of the rp, especially kages, while crew takes care of the things like customs. Of course new things are handy, and even promote rp, but there's no point if the crew doesn't take care of more important matters like approving things or settling disputes.

I also really really really want a cookie...

Just to make sure everyone understands this new idea I'm proposing, here is another explanation.

I would make six new guilds, each one representing a hidden village. So for example lets use Kumogakure. I would create a new guild called POTS: Hidden Village of Kumogakure and ONLY members of POTS who are members of Kumo will be able to join the guild and the forum will be hidden so other people can not see the contents.

No role-playing would be done in these guilds as it would just a place to discuss things concerning the village in private while including everyone who is a member of the village. You would be able to discuss certain plans and tactics, as well as storylines and things of that nature. The Kage of the village would be the captain of the guild.
