G2 seemed pretty uptight, which was good considering, well, G7 was not. Even he knew that he needed someone like G2 with him. Ying-Yang Balance and Unity and whatnot.

What he didn't expect, was for G3 to go and tackle them, screaming something about LOST and Kate and not being Kate and...ugh. He wish he knew what LOST was...wait, wasn't it some TV show? He couldn't recall... With a nod, he glanced back at G12.

"Seriously; we were just out here to say Hi, no need for the violence, man." There was a brief pause before he added. "Yet, anyway." Next he turned to the poor probably-woman that G3 had tackled, humming lightly as he listened to her words. They wanted to live, of course they did...and they all got those texts two, of course. This was going to be one of those player-vs-player things after all! He listened to everyone here say they didn't want to die; he was right in there with them, of course.

"Hey hey, I'm right there with ya, I do not want to die here. But, see, now we have a bit of a problem...'cause the rest of the Gammas also don't want to die. They kind of already decided that they - err, we - were going to be the ones to get out of here." Of course, he had only listened to that part of the conversation, and never really partook. A hand reached up to ruffle his hair, instead he caught the harsh texture of the gas mask. "I'm sure you're all nice people - 'cept for maybe that guy - but I hope you see the dilemma."

E4 gave E11 a long, frustrated glare. She didn't understand him. She really, really, really didn't understand him. In fact, she sort of regretted aligning herself with him at all. If he was afraid of spiders, how the hell was he going to kill people in order to survive? Killing people. Yes, that was what was on the table: killing to survive.

Shadowed eyes moved over to Two. "I don't think everyone here understands what it's going to take to make it that far," she said flatly. What allegiance did she have to her old group other than waking up in a tent with them? She definitely didn't think sticking with E11 for too long was a good idea.

Eta Four stared blankly at Gamma Three and then Gamma Two. "I'm calling her Kate. It's been decided." E4 was pretty sure that being tackled by someone gave you the permission to also name them. It wasn't simple math. It was street rules. The streets of wherever Eta Four was from.

Probably.

Getting back to her feet, E4 brushed off her armor. G12 was speaking now, and it wasn't precisely what Eta Four thought friendly. There was a veiled threat. "Yeah, and we have a tent full of people who feel exactly the same. The question is -- do you want to stick with the people whose tent you woke up in, or do you want to work with the people who were cunning enough to actual venture out?" Eta IV didn't want to die, and she was willing to do anything to align herself with the strongest players.

Eta Nine nearly died. There had been three people at first, three Etas like herself, but then there were more and they were not all Etas, judging from their olive uniforms, and ohgodohgodohgod. She breathed sharply as the whole group of Gammas approached, her dagger gripped so tightly her knuckles were no doubt white under the gloves. She screamed as the Gamma attached herself to Eta Four, the hand holding the dagger trembling. The battle had begun!

...Or not. It seemed that Eta Four was fine, if it a little surprised, and no one had really attacked anyone. Nine exhaled slowly as her teammate and the Gamma bantered back and forth about some Kate person, her terror slowly melting into confusion. This had...not been expected. She no longer had any ******** clue what was going on, except that people were not trying to kill her for the moment and that was just fine.

"So, are we the first group you guys have seen," she hesitantly questioned to Gammas, taking lead from Eta Four. She would not be afraid of them. Okay, maybe a little. But maybe this olive-colored team could help them determine just how many people were stuck in this god-forsaken situation.

“Well, if past experience is any indication, we wait for a plane to crash, fight a bunch of ********, and then somehow fly a crashed plane off of this island.

Also something about magical wheels. Not one hundred percent, Jack.”

A bond was forming. She could feel it.

“Well, looks like we've got a problem on our hands, man. We've got twelve, we're allowed thirteen. I vote we adopt Jack here. At least she's got some balls, a spine, and a decent weapon. And we can trade her in if we get tired of her. Like a whatshit.”

A digipet? A pokeyhorse? Ah – a pokemon.

“She can be our pikachu.”

She repeated herself again; "Yes, 3. You're not Kate." There was a small wave of her hand before she continued her thought as the madness involving the 'I'M NOT KATE' seemed to continue and new banter about 'surviving' started up. "Honestly, I'm not going to lie. We had to have been paired up into these random groupings for some reason. They also gave us the weapon they did for some reason as well. There is probably some sort of logic to everything.

So until I can figure that out, I'm not going to drop and pick up anything. If that was the cast, I couldn't trust anybody." γ XII sighed. "At this point, it seems that since we're neighbors, it may be safest for our two groups to be good neighbors until the last stretch.

I certainly don't want to be duking it out with someone who can find where I'm sleeping." it was quite easy to figure out what it was that γ XII was getting at. In fact, while both of the groups would certainly be in the whole ordeal just for their own lonesomes (or groups, whatever. THE FAGMILIA), it would probably be easier for their two groups to worry about everybody else and not each other in the beginning stretch.

". . . ."

There was a pause in which 3 suggested they adopted one 'Jack' character. Certainly it wasn't too horrible of a suggestion, but...well. Frankly, γ XII didn't care either which way.

"As long as she's fine being 'Jack' forever. We already have our own 12 numbers... don't need more confusion."

Eta Four shook her head. "Fine, I'm Jack. I'm Pikachu. I don't care. But I also want to be alive. So I'm going to do everything in my own power to make that happen -- including not throwing my fate off to whatever put me here." She slid up beside Nine. Even though the girl seemed hesitant, she was also willing to do the necessary things. And she carved a good map. E4 wasn't too keen on just up and leaving her, and she didn't think it was a good idea to join up with the Gammas as the only Eta. Those were always the first people voted off of the island.

Which in this case meant, you know, death.

This was a battle for survival. Did Gamma 12 really think that trust was going to carry her through? This was some Hunger Games s**t, E4 was sure of it. There were cameras hidden everywhere, and some rich people were watching this for amusement.

"I don't know," she said. "I like the ones who leave the tent."

Her eyes narrowed on the fog. "I don't like the idea of staying here. We can stand here and talk about who to trust or we can go try to figure out something useful. Can we atleast agree on that?"

"All I know, is that I'm going to live, but the rest of us in our tent seem pretty set on sticking together." G7 raised his hands in front of him in a gesture he hoped would look non-violent. "Are you suggesting an alliance, between the..." A brief headcount was given, and he hoped there were no others hiding in the fog. "Seven? Hah. Alright, Seven of us?" Seven was a good number. He liked Seven. His attention moved from one blue-coloured 'enemy' to the next, and finally he nodded.

"First ones I've seen, yes." The olive-coloured male was mulling something over, but after a glance to G12, he felt a little more torn; he liked the idea of forming an alliance with this crew here - again, minus that one guy on their team, and he could give or take 'Kate'...well, maybe take. He was pretty sure her attacking-blindly-head-on approach would be worth something.

"What if there isn't logic? You heard them...only thirteen can make it out. There are at least twenty four in this area alone." He argued back to G12, though he was pretty sure he was digging his own grave. "There are bound to be people out there who could give a rats a** as to who they woke up with, so long as they get out alive." He was apparently one of them, which was proven as he turned back to the blue-clad woman that had given the veiled suggestion of a team up...and held out his hand to her.

"Err, Gamma Seven is the only name I can really give. I don't care who I'm with, so long as I get the ******** out of here alive."

"Also, for the record, I agree...standing here talking is what brought us to you in the first place." There was a hint of amusement in his muffled voice.

"Of course not everyone is going to make it to the end. And if by some miraculous reason we do... there's going to be one heck of a bloodbath," he frowned.

"I suppose we could form some sort of truce in the meantime. We have a whole week to see if we'll kill one another anyway... I'm sure there's plenty of other teams who'll want nothing else but to have our heads on a platter," he added somewhat sarcastically, "And besides, like yIII said, we have room for one more."

Lowering his gun for now, he peered at the blue people some more, making out the n-like symbol on their helmets. He couldn't recall which greek letter that represented, but it didn't matter a whole lot. They weren't gammas.

"Lets keep moving. Like yVII said, if we keep staying around like this, more people may come and there's a pretty good chance that they won't be very friendly," he said while looking around, "Who knows, maybe it'll be some guy wearing a mask wielding a chainsaw. Won't that be fun?"

"What I'm suggesting is we don't go out of our way to kill each other right now. Certainly in the long run an issue of that variety might crop up and any run-ins that happen, happen." she shrugged lightly. "Unless we want to see what will happen between the two tents once this 'probation' is put to rest."

She frankly imagined 3 going to town in a fit of glee, but nevertheless....

He wasn’t liking this scenario. Not one bit. η XI had been hoping to avoid battling until there were only a few left. He was a violent jerk, but he wasn’t a murderer. He scowled from behind his mask, although he probably just looked completely stoic. η VI was still back at their tent, and she had shown some concern for others. Maybe she wouldn’t be the best battler, but she had loyalty. η XI wasn’t sure which he preferred. He actually wasn’t all concerned with the whole survival scenario. He wasn’t begging for death, but he just wasn’t too into the whole plan someone had set up for them. This didn’t seem like something he would have asked for. Did they have professional signature forgers…?

η XI looked over at η IV. “You thinkin’ of leavin’ us?” he asked, with a mix of professionalism and hurt. He wasn’t emotionally attached to her in any way, but it still felt like betrayal. “You ain’t gonna rat out where our tent is at if you leave, right?”

He frowned at the other group. “I don’t mind a ‘truce until everyone else is eliminated’ plan. Anyway, back to exploring.” He was cutting this conversation off now. And with that, he hopped away from the windmill and disappeared into the mist, moving closer to some of the abandoned buildings where he could listen without being detected. If their tent was being given up in some sort of trade, he was going to be the first to let everyone know.

E4/Jack/Pikachu wasn't sure how she felt about this arrangement -- but what else could she do? They were in an impossible situation. Their best weapon for now would be information, and the more time she spent with these Gammas, perhaps the more time she could use to try and convince them to team up. There was no question that Eta IV was out for herself, just like she thought any sensible person should be.

She turned to Eta 11. "No, I'm not giving anything away. I'm just saying it's crazy to think that we're all going to be on the same page until the end just because we woke up in a tent together." E4 liked E6, that was true, but she preferred when people were willing to go out into the wilderness, not just stick to the safety at home.

"Okay, truce then," she said, lowering her nunchucks. There was jealousy in her eyes when she saw Gamma Two's gun. Eta Four was optimistic that she might be able to better kill a person with a gun than with her nunchucks. Quietly, she gave them a slow test swing in her hand just to get the feel of them.

It hit her in the arm. Peachy.

"We were going to go into the windmill," she said, gesturing to the towering thing just at her back. "We thought we could maybe get a good view at the top of it, maybe see something useful."

And then Eta XI was skipping off into the fog by himself. What?

Though her mask hid it, Eta Nine's face washed with relief as Four slid up beside her. So she wasn't being abandoned! Though she was far from what she would consider a coward, Nine seriously doubted her ability to survive on this island without allies. Being one of the remaining few would be next to impossible without someone on your side, and she fancied herself as one of those lucky folks. Just like everyone else, obviously, but the situation would not be helped by dwelling on the inevitable outcome. An alliance with the Gammas was an unexpected but pleasant surprise, however.

"I can definitely support a truce," she said, and to prove her point she slipped her knife into her belt and out of clutch, though she left her hands hovering by her side. But then she noticed that one of the Gammas had his hand extended for a handshake, Seven judging from the markings on his helmet. Though she was somewhat uncertain, especially since she was quite sure the handshake was meant for Eta Four, she still leaned forward and grasped his hand firmly. "Eta Nine, I suppose," she introduced, her words nice enough.

She looked to Four as she explained their goal of inspecting the windmill, her eyes barely following the retreating Eleven for a few seconds before flicking back to the other Eta. She would really rather stick together, but if he wanted to go off on his own, more power to him. She really hoped he didn't encounter any spiders. "The fog may be a bit less thick higher up, and maybe we'd be able to see if any other group tents are in the area," she offered. She still wanted to know how many people who potentially wanted to kill her were out there.

(( I have to go to bed, work in the morning, but please just assume that Eta Nine follows along with the group and doesn't do anything too outlandish or stupid. Will reply tomorrow. <3 ))

Well at least they agreed to a truce for the meantime. Sooner or later yII knew things would boil down to them facing off one another. It would be best not to get too comfortable with these blue n's for that very fact. A part of him wasn't sure if getting too comfortable with anyone would be a good idea. It sounded like a lot of people were going to die over this next week.

But distancing himself from everyone didn't sound all too great. It would probably be best to try and stick with the other Gamma members like they were his family or pack.

Family...

Was anyone missing him right now? Was anyone worried? Did he even have one in the first place? It... probably would be better to not question it for the sake of his mentality and morale.

"The windmill?" he repeated while looking towards it. High ground could help. Then again, with the fog like this, they might not be able to see much more.

In any case, he went on to follow, pausing to see if the other Gammas were coming.

Deciding that the conversation had come to an actual close, η XI felt it was time to return to their base. He’d let the others know what was going on, and also see what sort of teammates this puppet master had picked out for him. Plus, η VI probably couldn’t hold the fort down all by herself, and maybe another group would like to head in another direction and see what else this town held for them.

As he heard the others preparing to enter the windmill, he silently slinked off into the mist, taking a snaking path to avoid giving away their home location.

((η XI is leaving The Scout Town and going to Eta Squad Base Camp. ))

This was so awkward. And scary. It was awkary.

Part of E4 just wanted to start nunchucking everyone around her to up her chances for survival. Head games weren't her forte, but frantic attempts to just do something definitely were. She could remember being told that she had wanted this in that hazy classroom, that she had signed up for it, and yet she couldn't remember a name outside of the ones that had been given to her here.

Signed up -- but for what? Some weird mind game? That didn't feel like something she would do, even if she couldn't remember her childhood or her parents or her favorite food. She did remember Hunger Games though. And she was fairly certain Kate was talking about either Titanic or Lost. So far, this was the total of her knowledge. That, and that she didn't know s**t about using nunchucks.

"For the record," she said, watching as Eta XI disappeared into the mist, "my money is not on him making it out of here."

With no one else leading the charge to the windmill, Eta Four decided to do it herself. She bumped her shoulder into the door -- no go. A light laugh buzzed out from the helmet. Way to look weak. The second try found purchase, and she went tumbling into the room. "Anybody home?" she asked to the nothingness, brushing dust from her legs and turning back to face the group.
