Kazuki Habaragi
Kazuki had found the spot easily. The map had given him the general spot but the giant towers were kind of hard to miss. As he neared the large structure he noticed the large doors to enter it. He began to travel toward them.
As he moved toward the place for his mission he activated his Carsingan, widening his visual range. He noticed a couple chakra signatures inside the tower, some immensely powerful. He wondered what he needed to do there. He also noticed that there were several other chakra signature in front of the tower door. It looked like a large mass of chakra was spread out around them. It was familiar. Most of it was Ichi's but Kazuki could also pick out Ryumon, Kiko, and Akeru? What were they doing here?, he wondered to himself. He better keep going for now. They were going to the same place anyway.

She'd just gotten accustomed to the ground again, when the lurching feeling crept back into her stomach as Ichi lifted the sand beneath their feet and flew them around. Kiko was quite close to flipping out, but instead, waited until the flying had stopped, before wobbily scooting over to Ichi's side. People were supposed to be on the ground, not in the air. She almost clung to Ichi for support, but Kiko tucked her head between her knees, trying not to vomit again. "Is the flying over yet?" she asked quietly to Ichi, her face pale and slightly sticky with sweat from blowing chunks all over the ground earlier. She still had no idea what was really going on, but at the moment, she was still on her mission, so protecting Ichi was main priority. With a wobble, she stood up, knees shaking slightly. Hopefully the flying was over. If not, she'd blow chunks all over the place.Tsukiko Jounin Theme

To the unaccustomed eye, the man with the loose fitting stripped white jacket was nothing more than another one of the plebeians that have gathered. He was simple by comparison to most. He had a laid back demeanor and did not seem the least bit tense. To the trained eye (the eye of a sensor) he was another beast entirely. His chakra signature was unique enough that sensors, even at a fairly large distance away, couldn't help gawking at him. He seemed to be a man comprised of... something. Chakra entered from the surrounding area around him and simply... became him. He had no visible tenketsu. He had not visible chakra network. He was just a bright incarnation of chakra. He appeared much like a demon host might... or one of the tailed beasts. Those who where perceptive enough might even notice that it was HIS chakra that had caused the skip in time. Slowly at first, heads turned and whispers where exchanged. With slicked back dark hair and matching round glasses was simply "there". He was rested with folded arms, laying back against a large stone as he waited for a critical mass to gather. A few minutes passed and he simple did nothing, the crowd began to grow anxious. A ninja from the Snow village finally spoke up. "U...u...um... Mr. Quingfu... sir." A long moment came as a wide smile stretched across the immortal's face. "Yeeeessss...." He reply was a little sarcastic and the Snow ninja gave a slight start at this. "Um, sir. They- the note that is- said that you where looking for, um, replacement Immortals?" "Ah! I'm glad you asked!" As he shouted, he slowly shifted to sit on the rock he was next to. He folded his legs as the growing circle collected around him. "Well... it's true. It's also true that we may be in a greater danger now than at the formation of the original Senkaku Hachi...." The group looked nervously to each other than back at him. "Sound and it's allies march towards us as I speak. And don't kid yourself- they've got more than enough power to do us in unless the new immortals are trained in short order." Again, more nervous tension. "But... we will start training as soon as you are all ready. The training may prove fatal for those who are not of pure heart, so... take THAT into consideration. BUT don't despair, oh you twisted fu#$ks who showed up! We are going to need a standing army to combat the impending Sound nin. While my comrades Li Tieguai and the beautiful He Xiangu, or "Immortal Woman He", will be defending the best they can- two people can only do so much. Expect heavy fighting and possibly death. Buy hay! Look on the bright side! If you DON'T die- chances are you'll live! On the other hand- if you DON'T help us defend, it's assured that you'll die. So... yeah... not a great two options but one is defiantly better than the other." The group nodded, most somewhere between scared and pissed off. A few smiled at the sentiments he stuck in to try to diffuse the situation. "So... like I said. Go ahead and step up to the great chained door over-there and we can get you started." At this he gave a slight bow and a smile. Charming... really.

Kazuki Habaragi
Kazuki had arrived and joined the crowd just in time to see and hear the Immortal that the Snow ninja had called Quingfu. Apparently he was here to try to become a new Immortal. This sounded interesting but also mysterious to him. He figured since the whole world was about to go to hell in a hotrod soon anyway he might as well see what this was about until he needed to go help with the whole "fend off Sound, Leaf, and Uchiha ninjas".
Quingfu intrigued Kazuki the most as he spoke though. His very aura was felt in his words but his chakra was unlike anything Kazuki had ever seen. The best he could compare it to were two things. One being when Ichi had lost control of Shukaku during the first Chunin match and second when that huge influx of chakra was felt before he got here. Kazuki wondered what sort of power this man wielded to have his chakra reach all the way out in the Sand and probably farther still, judging by the amount of other ninja here.
He joined the crowd entering the tower. He noticed Ichi and the others join too. For now he wouldn't say anything to them. He had bigger things to focus on, namely the badass Immortals that needed new candidates and Kazuki was interested.

TATSUYA MIYAKI Now I don't believe men are born to be killers, I don't believe the world can't be saved Location: Not a Clue in the World. Mood: Curious Ulterior Motives: I want to participate. Thoughts: "Death?"
Tatsuya listened silently while the immortal explained the situation that they were in, so it WAS as bad as he was expecting, but it also meant that everything with the Sound was coming to a boil. The only real thing bugging him was that the Udai itself was charged to fight along side the Immortals, and bits inside of him wanted to go inside the tower. The thought of becoming an immortal was out of this world, but since it was somehow attainable the human instinct within him screamed to go for it.
"U-ummm... Quingfu? Who all is permitted to enter?"
The boy spoke in his same pitch but louder in order to be heard over the vast uproar of the crowd. After his question was asked Tatsuya slowly began looking for familiar faces, he noticed Tsukiko from the Cloud Village, and Ichi, but that was about it so far. He hoped that in the dire situation everything would turn out okay, Shiso, Shun, Seika, hell, even Ren, he hoped the few people he called friend would survive the destruction.
How did you get here and when did it start An innocent child with a thorn in his heart

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Sukami Akeru XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"Within every lie, there is truth Within every illusion, there is reality" Try her hand at becoming an immortal. Akeru had considered it, she was sure she was pure of heart enough and plenty strong enough to do it. However, she knew Ichi was going, and she didn't want to deprive their group of any more strength than necessary, especially with the battle to come. Ryumon was skilled, but he was still a genin, and his lack of experience could land him in trouble if he didn't have someone there watching him. Plus Akeru didn't really trust Tsukiko much in a battle, so she didn't want to leave things to her. In the end, Akeru just wouldn't feel right being trained to be an immortal (or whatever the hell was going to happen inside) while her friends could be out there getting slaughtered by overwhelming forces. "Good Luck, Ichi. I'll be keeping a hold on things out here, so don't worry about your girlfriend, I'll make sure she's in one piece when you get back. Well, maybe two, hard to tell 'till the fighting actually starts..."Akeru hung her chain over her shoulder and looked away from the tower. She had never liked those sound ninja, she remembered all the way back to her chunin exams when she had seen a few. She was too arrogant and hardheaded at the time to take too much notice of them, but there had always been something shady about sound, so she figured one of these days she would end up fighting against them. She just hoped that she was really prepared for this. Akeru found it funny that she was actually more worried about Tsukiko and Ryumon's lives than her own. Ryumon was probably the closest thing she ever had to family, a little brother to look after. And Tsukiko, not only was she a friend, but she was also something special to Ichi, so she had double the reason to want her to survive. Akeru herself, she was born of a dead clan, one that she never had any plans of trying to revive. She didn't want to grow old and have children either, the only thing that was important was her protecting her home and friends. She had no past, she had no future. It wasn't like she exactly wanted to die, but in the event that it happened, she could do so happily as long as the things that she loved were protected. Akeru closed her eyes, mentally preparing herself for the battle that was to come. It would be the biggest battle that she ever participated in, so she tried to visualize the worst case scenario so she would be ready for anything. The recovering lurch of Kiko's stomach felt somehow at ease as she stepped up next to Akeru. "No matter what happens...no matter who or what we're up against...remember, we have someone to protect in there." Her face was serious, and the childlike remnants of something long past washed over her face, clouding her eyes slightly as she watched Ichi disappear into the tower. To wish him luck...would be almost futile. She had the strongest of beliefs in Ichi's capabilities, and if she stood by strong to help him gain in the end, that was fine. The girl turned next to her friend, and grabbed her hand in a gesture of friendship, like a gripping handshake. "We need to come up with a plan. If someone goes nuts and chickenshits to the Sound village, then we're going to have to kill them. San and I can scout if need be, and I can heal. Two sets of eyes and one set of good healing hands is better than none." Determination scoured her face, and this was seemingly out of character for Tsukiko, or at least from what Akeru knew. "I saved him from one of my own village members, fought against Shukaku, and kept him safe so far. And the b***h that made him lose his arm is on her way here right now I bet." The look turned to a snarl-some futile, bottled anger that would be unleashed later perhaps. "I'll be damned to just let some army of instrument-playing rainbow colored ninnies come in here and mess things up for him. We fight to the last breath." San howled in agreement. "Agreed!" the dog chirped.Tsukiko Jounin Theme

Can a Nightmare...
Nestled into the vast crowd a woman with a plain mask and a cloak that curtained her body stood and listened carefully, she took in what the immortal said with some level of aloofness. Hmm, she didn't remember anything about this being mentioned in the orders that were given to her, and she did infact deeply concider what it would mean to be an immortal, and the responsiblities that went with it. Her head bowed slightly as she thought about what she wanted and what she was going to do, regardless of what she chose - she was going to fight- there was no way around this and war was once again looming in the chapter of mankind. History, its seemed, was doomed to repeat itself over and over again. Mankind craved it, and thus, she was once more debating whether or not this was what humanity needed in order to grow. But... was it far to think that way anymore? Gatsuei had the opertunity to take a step back and look at things from a different prespective, even for a brief while, and tried to place things back into a vision less distorted. She wasn't sure if she was pure of heart, that meant many different things to different people, but she was hoping to have the opertunity to give it a try if she was allowed. If she died in this training, then it just meant that was as far as she was meant to go. Nothing more, nothing less. But if she succeeded, then maybe she could find the way to usher humanity into a new era, she wanted to save humanity from itself, she wanted to help guild them to the place they were truely meant to go and belong. Perhaps this was a means to that dream, perhaps the Gods were once more guiding her towards her destiny and what needed to be done. Or was this just her hope that she could repent for her previous actions and treacheries against her fellow Cloud Ninja? She couldn't deny that possiblity, nor would she try to convince herself otherwise. Her actions and consequences lead her down the path that she was on now. She worried her lip for a moment as her eyes softened from behind her mask. She had people that believed in her now, and even though she had betrayed those people. they were willing to give her another chance, those who where hidden to her like Chiyu had believed in her at one point. For whatever reason, she felt a pang of pain in her chest at the thought of him. He... trusted her, and according to the Raikage, believed in her profusely... and she betrayed that... and now it was starting to hurt. Was this a delayed guilt from denial, she wondered, or was she just starting to wake up to the enormity of her actions? Gatsuei raised her hand from under her cloak and looked down at the open palm. What did she want to do, really? And why did she want to do it? There was no point going in to attempt to be an immortal if she wasn't sure of what to do or why she was doing it. She would likely be asked, and without an answer, she would likely be unable to progress.
What did it mean to protect someone? Why did others wish to protect those who were strangers or were from a different village? What was the point? How was protecting ones self different from protecting another and what was that thing that made them supposedly so strong in the process? She knew the definition of what it meant to protect some; it was to put the well beings of others before yourself. She could understand, somewhat, why someone would do something like that for family, but why would someone do this for someone who was unrelated to them? Was it a... fear of loneliness that drove one to protect someone? Humans were naturally a pack animal, they needed socialization to flurish properly. She knew full well what it was like to be alone, that painful existence that gripped ones soul and crushed it ruthlessly. She could understand that, she could understand the need to preserve ones circle of friends to make sure that one wasn't lonely. But was there all there was too it? She wasn't sure, she had never been in a position to learn or understand what it was like to have friends and allies, when she was, she pushed away because of her beliefs and outlooks on life. She wanted to be accepted, but it was apparent from earily on, that she was destined to be alone. She originally revaled in it, everyone told her that she would amount to nothing, that she would be dead within the first few weeks of being a genin. She always thought that she was born with a purpose, and those who followed that purpose was were what made great shinobi, she still believed that. Perhaps there was a deeper reason for her being here. But why was she was here? What did she hope to accomplish, and was she going to be pure enough to have any chance to pass this thing? Her thoughts traveled back to the Raikage, Chiyu, the Wolf-girl Anbu and Dr. Seuss. She wanted to earn her pentance with Chiyu, he believed in her and she betrayed that trust, she wanted to make it up to him and she wanted to secretly prove to herself that she worth his faith after all, she wanted to make things up to the Raikage too, he had sacrificed a good deal for her, and if he was caught in what he did, there could be consequences... she wanted to at least show him that she appreciated that sacrifice. She had a new opertunity with a new family, the ANBU were her family where her bloodline fell short. She was accepted by them, she was given a new start at life, and if it was her destiny that she truely die this day, week or month, she didn't want to have any regrets, she didn't want to throw these things away. She didn't want to be alone anymore, she was tired of being the only one who didn't feel such things as love and friendship. She wanted to experience these emotions herself and if that meant preserving the friendships and love of others... she supposed it would be something that she could do, even if that resulted in only a lick, only a slight glimmer of what it was like. Perhaps it would be worth it, better a glimmer of darkness and having experienced something worth while then knowing only loneliness and the despair that came with it.
She clenched her fist and withdrew it back under her cloak. She knew what she wanted to do now, if this was another mistake then perhaps she was just not meant to be with others. If that was the case, then perhaps death was something of a release, not a punishment. She looked up as a few of the members started to enter the tower. Gatsuei pushed off with her foot and started to walk towards the tower, if she wasn't permitted to enter then she would likely be blocked by the stranger with the black glasses. She wanted to make something of her life, she wanted to be of some use to someone, she wanted to be wanted by others. She had lost everything, she had nothing to lose, and a whole new world of possiblities for her if she succeeded. She didn't know if she would succeed, but she would give it a fighting shot, to live to was to fight, after all. It didn't matter if one fought to perserve one's honour, to fight for another or to struggle for her goals. That was what it meant to fight, to put everything that you could in order to obtain your goals, ones dreams, and perhaps... to preserve something precious. Gatsuei-anei wanted to fight... she wanted to fight to have something to fight for, something that she could protect and hold precious to her like everyone else seemed to have, but she did not. Her breath hitched for a moment as she saw Ichi pass through the gates. He was here as well? She paused for a heartbeat before continuing on. She supposed he had someone to protect, he had Kiko. It made sense for someone like her to go in, she had nothing to lose by doing this. If she died, then there was nothing lost, or at least little lost. She was dead, for all intents and purposes... she wasn't alive. So where was the fear in dying when one was already dead? But for someone like Ichi who had something so important to him, why was he risking that for something like this? Was he doing this to protect Kiko, or was he doing this because he felt like it was his obligation, being a Demon host and all. Her eyes narrowed in thought for a moment as she pondered such things. She wanted to ask him, she wanted to sit down with him and ask him such things and fulfill her curiosities. Gatsuei would strive to be an immortal, if only for the chance to repent for her actions by protecting those who still had some level of faith in her....Be woven into a beautiful dream?

A lone figure shrouded in a traveling cloak made his way to the tower. He was tired and his mind had been overflowing with questions. The stance of a wanderer enshrouded him. Traveling across countries was no big deal for him, he had done it all his life. The crowd ahead could be heard from a mile away, then it was quiet. Kurou was still too far away to see why. Within a few minutes he had made his way to the edge of the crowd. A laid back looking gentleman had just finished speaking. Kurou had heard nothing. Why was he here? He was but a genin, probably the only one. Something compelled him to come but what was it? The thought of Immortality? The thought of power, of faith, of glory? He wasn't sure. He just knew that all men sought these three in some fashion and the were the surest ways to kill a man as well. Kurou made his way around the outside of the group until he found a decent spot to view the speaker and the looming chained door. He tightened his grip on the sword his father had given him: Hoshi. ' Father...' The hooded Kurou smiled. His mind was starting grasp at the idea of why he was here...

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Sukami Akeru XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"Within every lie, there is truth Within every illusion, there is reality" Akeru's eye twitched as Tsukiko grabbed her hand. Tsukiko didn't know about Akeru's general dislike of anyone touching her, so Akeru fought the urge to deck her in the face. Plus it wasn't the time for it anyway, they needed to be mentally prepared for the fight. As Tsukiko spoke, Akeru could see the powerful emotions welling in her. Tsukiko did seem more determined that Akeru expected, but as she saw the anger in her, Akeru couldn't help but sigh a little. This girl just refused to act like a jonin. "Hey, I get that you don't like these sound guys, I don't either, but cool your head. If getting angry and insulting enemies made you stronger, I would have been more powerful as a genin. We need to fight smart, not angry, getting too emotional will just give the enemy a chance to take advantage of you and make you slip up. And a slip up can easily mean death in a battle the size of the one we're going to be in."Akeru knew it was best not to let who your enemy was effect you. Whether it was someone you didn't want to harm or someone you wanted dead, your emotional attachment to the opponent could be something they could take advantage of. A jonin had to be smarter than that. "For our strategy, I say you, me, Ryumon, and San work as a cohesive unit. None of us are front-line material, but we have plenty of others in the crowd who are. While they're holding the front, we could try to cut off any enemies that try to sneak around to our backs. And if push cones to shove, I'll act as the decoy and you three strike from the shadows. I should be the one best able to deal with direct attacks. I may not be the sturdiest of fighters, but my chain makes me difficult to fight against head to head."((Last Location: Outside the tower Next Location: - )

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon’s eyes settled on Akeru with a glare so cold and withering that it was empty of of anything. There was no anger or indignation in his eyes, only a deep hole… it was a faceless sorrow that stripped emotion from his face completely.
“Not….front line material…..” he said almost in a whisper
“You’re a genjutsu type….tsukiko is a medical shinobi….so seeing as how I’m the only combat specialist you must a pretty low opinion of my ability…” he said bitterly
“I’ll just have to prove otherwise wont I….Akeru-nee….” He finished coldly although now he seemed more irritated than bitter or hurt…
“I just feel sorry for who ever is about to get the brunt of this mood you’ve put me in….” he added with the slightest hint of rage in his voice as a kunai flicked from his sleeve. He began to twirl it in his fingers scanned the area like a wolf seeking prey…

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Sukami Akeru XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"Within every lie, there is truth Within every illusion, there is reality" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Tenraigan: Inactive Akeru sighed as she realized that she had inadvertantly hurt Ryumon's feelings. Akeru didn't think him too weak to be their front line fighter, she knew that combat wise he would probably be more fit in the front than she would. However, there was one glaring fact that stopped her from placing him in that point. "Ryumon, I didn't mean that you aren't a good front man, the problem is that you're a genin. We could very well face multiple jonin, chunin, and who knows what else they have. I don't want to send you head on against all of that. You have the greatest physical attack power of any of us, you're basically our offensive weapon. I don't want to risk you taking the brunt of the enemy offensive. I lure the enemy in to attacking me and you hit them and make them regret it."While Ryumon was right that she was a genjutsu specialist, Akeru had never been a normal genjutsu specialist. When she was a genin, she always prefered to fight head on, using her genjutsu to suppliment her attacks. And while she had learned to remove herself from direct combat, she could still fight that way easily. "What I meant by 'not frontline material' is that none of us are particularly durable, someone like Ichi that can absorb hits from multiple directions. So I didn't mean to insult, but we have to play this to our strengths. I may not be able to defend against multiple attacks, but I can make them attack something that's not there instead."((Last Location: Outside the tower Next Location: - )

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon gave a final indignant huff. He was determined to take on what ever came at them at this point.
“Lets just keep an eye out for trouble….you two are better at recon than I am so I’ll leave it in your hands…” he said flatly.
He simply stood as he visually scanned the area while he continued flicking the kunai about between his fingers. He was agitated, anxious, and annoyed at the moment… part of him hoped no one came and another yearned for battle… the latter half rang a big louder in his head than normal.
“I’m starting to wonder….if we’re waiting in the wrong place….” he saidas he continued looking about.

It took the Immortal a moment to reply to Tatsuya's question. He had even turned and started to walk away. "Oh? What's that little odd-haired boy? Who is allowed to enter? Why any and all who deem themselves worthy.... we wouldn't want anyone who didn't think they where worthy right?"
