Normally, she would probably have found hanging people by their ankles to be a rather mean thing. At least, before she probably would have. Now, Fluorite didn't really care that much. They were just drunks anyway, who cared ?
A bunch of them had probably tried to hit on her at least once, too... Sleezeballs.
Fluorite seemed to be content to follow Painite wherever she went for the time being.

Painite led them to an alley she deemed worthy of there time. Mostly because there were two people, not looking like particularly shining contributors to society, huddled together in the corner. They were talking in low, rolling voices, though their words were too mumbled to sound like anything but gibberish.
The nega lieutenant looked at Fluorite and grinned, pointing at the two targets.
She found there was always rope or wire in these alleys. Most of the time she brought her own gear, but tonight she hadn't thought of it. She wasn't planning on doing any traps or anything, but she should have known better than to think she could resist.
She 'found' some rope on a pole nearby, presumably a flag pole, but the short length would work for her purposes. "Alright," she whispered, since they were still a small distance away from the duo, "what do you think? You wanna wrangle some losers?" She grinned.

Oh, perfect. Very perfect at that.
Fluorite grinned back. "Yeah, lets. What's the plan ?" She looked much like a mischevious child right at that moment. The height didn't help that mental image any.

Painite looked thoughtful, but in a playful way. She grinned.
"I say we get them together. I'm going to climb up there, get around them, drop the rope. You back them up into it, and see if you can't get them both into the loop at the same time."
She started laughing at the very idea. It was like a three legged race gone terribly, horribly wrong.
"I'll yank um up and tie it off, then we can get their energy. Sound good?"

Just as Painite laughed, Fluorite did the same. "Sounds hillarious ! Let's go. Get in position and let me know when you're ready for me to move in ?"
How would she get them in position, through ? Well, she could either lead them there by good old foolery, though... These two looked wasted beyond wasted. Maybe she could just pretend to be a monster and have them run right into it. They looked like they would easily buy it !

Painite grinned and nodded her head. She loved things like this. Games. Fun.
There was no harm making the job enjoyable, so long as it continued to get done. She didn't waste her time for herself, always focused on the end goal, but executed her plans in a way that kept her mind sparking, her energy up. She loved the thrill of a good hunt, or a new plan, or simply of a game set up with a fellow negaverse agent.
She beamed at Fluorite. "Okay, you distract them, and I'll get things in place! I'll give you a buzz when I'm ready!"
And then she moved, climbing up a wall to slink behind the wasted duo. She dropped the rope, tied in a noose, down to the floor, tying a knot in the end and holding on to the length she had left so she could pull and not lose her grip. When she was sure she was ready it was up to Fluorite to do the herding, and she used her crystal to give the other nega the signal that she was ready. It took a little energy, but she hadn't done anything else that night so it was fine.

Fluorite had little to do to keep their unfortunate victims busy. They were doing enough of that themselves, giggling like idiots to each other, which did make the girl wonder just what the hell they were seeing in their haze.
A little pathetic, really.
Fluorite got the signal, and then charged. The two started, and then screamed, and ran straight for Painite's trap.
Now she was really wondering what they were seeing. And she couldn't keep herself from laughing.

Painite laughed at Fluorite's choice of tactic. The blind screaming from the two tripping goons was priceless, and it half seemed like something out of a cartoon. They leaped up and screamed, panicking, their arms flying in a barely controlled manner as they fled for their lives.
Did they think she was a bear or something?
Laughing all the way, Painite leaped from her perch on the building. She had the rope hooked on a lamp, and as she fell down and pulled they went up into the air like rockets. They were still screaming, swatting each other, then clinging to each other, then flailing some more. They had both been caught by the ankle, and were spinning listlessly in a slow circle because of their own flailing.
Painite tied the rope to the nearby fence and grinned, hands on her hips, watching the duo as they freaked out.
"You know, if we left them to it they'd probably kill each other, or something," she said, grinning at Fluorite. "We're doing them a service at this point."

"My goooood..." She managed in between near-hysterical bouts of laughter. This s**t was hilarious ! Really, really, hilarious. The two dangled upside down like flailing children, and Fluorite finally managed to stop laughing when she took place beside the other lieutenant.
"We probably should drain them before their screaming catches attention, through. As funny as this is." Even as she spoke, she was walking toward the man on the left, who started at her like a deer in the headlights.
She reached to press her hand against his side, and he went limp.

"Yeah, you're right. People around here are used to it, but these guys are losing their s**t. I wonder what they took to get them in this state?"
Besides the added aggravation of being flipped upside down and chased by, presumably, a bear. Though that was clearly a big part of their current freak out session.
She moved to the other victim, putting her hand on his side, since she couldn't quite reach a comforting gesture on his shoulder without toppling herself over. He didn't seem to like it, watching his buddy go limp and not wanting any part of that action.
"Oh relax, it's not that bad," she grinned before he, too, fell silent.

Fluorite felt silent as the orb of energy slowly formed into her hand. It was still very new to her, and a little complicated, taking most of her focus. The rest of her focus was spent applying the things Hiro had taught her - back to the wall, looking to the street, careful of anything that might come their way.
Just because she had company didn't mean she could be sloppy. What would she look like if she was sloppy just because Painite was with her ? Fluorite was desperately trying not to look as green as she actually was.
Sometimes it worked. most of the time it didn't.

Painite smiled as she drew the energy out of her victim, looking over at Fluorite briefly just to make sure nothing crazy was going on, and that she had the hang of things. It was a little blip of focus for herself, but she was confident enough now that she wasn't risking losing anything by checking in.
She smiled, noting the uneasy look on the newer Nega's face.
"Hey, relax, we're fine. We'd hear anyone coming from the echos, and the light up there lets shadows come toward us, rather than away. We'd see anyone walking up, or feel anything trying to sneak in, if it's something to worry about."
She looked at the little orb she had collected, always finding them interesting. Pretty, in their way, but more meaningful than that.
"Get it?" she asked, grinning.

"Y-Yeah..." She managed. She came across as overnervous because, really, she was. She wanted so badly to look competent, to look skilled and aware of everything and anything, that she often achieved the opposite in the process.
Then, finally, she let go. "Yeah... I got it." The orb was whole and flawless in her hand, and she slid it in her sash for safe-keeping. "Should we turn these in and be done for the night ? I know a nice little coffee shop nearby if you want." The younger girl offered.

Painite smiled and moved over to her, clapping her on the shoulder supportively.
"Relax! You're a natural at this! Plus, that was really fun. You enjoyed it, right? So stop looking like I'm going to slit your throat and take your money." She grinned, then looked at the energy and nodded, "or that. I'm not going to do either."
At the suggestion to turn in for the night, she nodded her head.
"That sounds like a plan to me. And coffee sounds good, too!" Because getting coffee into the already perky Painite was always a good idea. Not that she bounced off the walls, but she could certainly talk. In any case, it had been a good night, as far as she was concerned, and she liked the company of the new Lieutenant quite a lot. Which was another win in her book, on top of the energy they had gathered.
A good night, indeed.
