He took in the sudden arrival of a Captain with some small chance of success. The release of energies, the almost unending train of explitives. His dismissal of the others and his release of Shikai. His massive hand reached up and kneaded his forehead gently. "You still don't understand? You fool. You imagine your Shikai can save you? A pair of frilly white gloves?!? I've been toying with your comrades. I'll toy with you. And then, when you think I lied, and think yourself about to crush the life from me, I'll remove you. I won't worry about killing you, not just yet. I have time, far too much time to let this end quickly." He gripped his gladius in his right hand and brought it out before himself. "You may want to call your Medic Taicho back, He'll be the one needing to patch you up. You know combat, there is no further need to educate you in its precepts. I'm done with speaking to you."

Gaius' outline quickly began glowing, his reiatsu mixing heavily with the alchemic energy stored inside his body. A bracer flashed into existence on his arm. Vulcan's Shield. Jupiter's Ring was already present. In the second flash his torso and upper legs were covered by the heavy armored Lorica that was Mars' Spears. He drew the energy back into himself and smiled. The Wings of Mercury were always his trump card, or, one of the many. Very few had ever survived long enough to witness its form anyway.

With nary a thought, and almost no physical motion whatsoever the bracer on his forearm expanded almost instantly into a large tower shield. It's wicked edge flicked out, the simply force from its expansion driving it toward's Kiisho. The power and it's edge more than enough to remove a limb from the body.

Powchii closed his eyes, shaking his head at the arrogant attitude of his fellow bount, "Does Gaius not comprehend the gap between this captain's strength and the other ones? Clearly this man is on another tier of power, his is one that strikes descisively while the others was one that had less sting and a more protective flow of power to it." he let out an annoyed sigh, "Gaius, this is to be your last opponent... I can feel you end, it draws near... it beckons to the shinyogo." he said quietly slowly turning to face the captain whom moments before was given quite a run for his money. His eyes closely examined every detail of the captain before he spoke, "What do you think captain? Clearly the gap between your power and the other captains power is noticeable, is it not?" he asked, more like he wanted to banter with the captain then fight. His expression remained a stagnant nuetral throughout the entire situation, "Well Kei Aoi, my name is Powchii Hamada." he said with a respectful nod, his expression became a bit tart whhen the captain positioned his wakizashi against Powchii.

"My my..." the Queen said as she stepped out of the way from in between Powchii and Kei, "You could barely stand on your own two feet against Gaius and now you challenge my master... You must be feeling quite daring." she said with a bit of a chuckle.

Powchi advanced past the Queen, towards Kei, his face hard a sharp expression of distaste painted across it. Once he was around two feet away from Kei he lowered the right side of his shirt exposing his right shoulder which had the roman numeral VI emblazoned on it, however his mark was marred and nearly scartched clean from his skin, the scars were horribly painful looking. Once he had let Kei analyze the faded mark he raised his shirt back over the mark, "No." he said curtly, "I am no longer allied with the Raven. I long since left during the reign of Ky." he said his voice growing deeper and deeper, "I am here merely to witness the extinction of my own." he said his voice returning to it's usual nuetral tone. He lowered his head a bit regretful, "Do forgive my brashness... I just don't like being classified with such interlopers as these." he said turning to his doll walking back behind her then having her advance between him and Kei.

The Queen looked at Kei a bit forlorn, "Might you grant us pardon? Or must you engage us in combat?" she asked raising her scythe towards his midesction.

"Save your breath, little bug." Kiisho's voice came as a mildly dismissive sigh, his body already moving forward with his right arm extending, palm forwards, to meet the oncoming edge.
A grating crash sounded, throwing up dust from Kiisho's feet, and causing his body and hair to ripple in the wind, as if a particularly aggressive gust had just blown past him. As the dust settled, white fingers and palm could be seen pressed against the intended attack, small surges of reiatsu and reishi darting about them like leaping sparks.
"You should listen to your friend, Gaius." He chuckled, his fingers tapping against the object in front of his hand. "It is a pity that he spoke too late." No sooner had Kiisho's words left his mouth, he vanished, appearing again less than a second later behind Gaius, his left hand snapping forwards, two fingers pointing towards the center of the Bount's lower back. "Raikoukyuu!" With a searing, snapping explosion, a shining ball of bright white light blasted out from his hand, shrieking across the minuscule distance between the two of them with enough heat and pressure to blow a hole through the wall of three tanks.

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Kei Aoi's eyes drifted off for a moment when the Bount spoke about the difference of the powers of captains. But, of course, the Fourth Division captain, after all, was just a medic to begin with. He was not designed at all to fight but he knew all too well that the Gotei elite was a military institution. Kei Aoi trained to fight in some way or the other. Nonetheless, the foe before him stated a simple fact, albeit the statement lied between the lines.

"How... extremely observant of you, Hamada-sama, to know my name even though my own introduction way passed prior to your arrival; I wonder if the Bounts have a unique way of sharing information across themselves." Kei Aoi said softly in response to the Bount calling the captain "Kei Aoi"; how strange, indeed. When suddenly, the woman underling of Powchii stepped in their line of discussion and began to berate the captain of standing before her master. Then, Kei raised a finger, as if warning her. "I am not feeling "daring", my dear. Everything about this event has nothing to do with ego and boldness. This is performing duty. Sadly, I think, you don't understand the nature of work and task. Pity." The captain said at the woman-plastic. Yes, despite her rather pleasing appearance, Kei was disappointed at her attitude. Truly, why do roses had to have thorns?

It was by this time when Powchii moved forward to Kei and then showed him his scarred mark of "VI". It didn't mean much to the captain but he deduced the fact that perhaps the man, Ky, whom Powchii spoke off gave him that mark. Perhaps, Ky left or died; Kei Aoi did not know. "You baffle me, Hamada-sama." Kei Aoi said softly, eyes narrowing as he gazed at Powchii. "You come here to witness the "extinction" of your OWN..."

And then, the woman raised her scythe towards Kei. "Yet, you raise your blade against me? Did you come here to "witness" or fight the would-be extinction of your race?" The captain asked, looking calmly at the blade raised before him. The woman was hot-headed. The man was composed. And considering the woman's remarks, Kei thought that perhaps Powchii was a considerably strong enemy. What would he do?

Powchii shook his head, "I'm quite observant Kei... For the white haired captain referred to you as Aoi and you referred to him as Hayashi. I was easy from there to deduce that you were Kei Aoi, captain of the medical squad four. And the other as Kiisho Hayashi, captain of the science and development twelve. There can't be that many Kei's or Kiisho's running around here now can there. I'm not as ignorant as the other Bount for I like to study up on things before I throw myself into these kinds of situations." he said a bit exacerbated with a slight shrug. "I shall let you in on a little secret about our marks," Powchii said rasing his finger as if symbolizing a lesson to be taught, "Each bount that joined the rank of Raven is given a mark best suited to their own power. From that mark we draw a power similar to doll known as Geist and ARMS." he said lowering his hand placing it on his waist, "There are currently three bount using a mark and one shinigami using one." he added the last part as more of a blurb of information.

The Queen's eyes narrowed on Kei, "You seem quite comfortable divulging such information," she said peering at Powchii through her periphorals, "Then again I see no threat in it since knowing the powers of a mark give no advantage when considering that each marks power is unique." she said adding to the information Powchii already gave Kei. She raised her scythe as she had slowly let it droop closer and closer to the ground over time, her vigilant eyes scrutinized Kei's movement, wary of his physical movements for any form of attack. She then responded quite curtly towards Kei's second statement, "Hm~ It's not entirely based on work, I can tell because your fellow captain Shiboo taichou is currently fighting a fight with Asuma Haruka soley on past clashes." she said feeling like she had stumped the captain.

Powchii shook his head, his dolls always thought they were more clever then they actually were, but he never minded it. Powchii's face piqued with curiousity for he seemed to have the captain stumped by his motives, "Our race is to end, it was predetermined. I simply wish to watch how the last of my kind carry out said extinction... So far," he said patting the dust off of his shoulder, teetering his attention from Kei To Kiisho's violent attack then back to Kei, "Well... so far... has been a bit dull." he added as he unzipped his jacket pulling a sleek case with a bount crest etched onto it's front. He opened it revealing a second Queen chess piece which was a stark black when compared to the Queen's white, "We asked for pardon Kei and I certainly hope you to be a man whom respects a person that refuses to sully his hands with a fight. I ask you once more, might you grant us pardon? Or release you judgement on us?" he asked pulling the black chess piece from it's place holder, the energy it emitted was malicious and more feral then that of the white Queens.

"Boy I'm larger than you are, in every way. Save your breath." Almost as quickly as it had flickered out the razor edged shield had retreated, folding back into it's compact form of a simple bracer. The dark blue metal gleamed softly as it resettled. The foolish Captain had continued speaking. As if he truly thought himself still superior. As if even after all the years of ridicule and prejudice against the Bounts they hadn't grown tired and improved themselves? That they were comfortable and happy as downtrodden underlings to be discarded at a whim?!? Gaius' rage gradually grew more and more prominent, his face darkening minisculey, his heart pumping, reiatsu flaring along with the other various energies that made up his existence.

The Shinigami dissapeared, only to swish back in behind Gaius a moment later, a large and destructive blast of energy ready to leap toward's his relatively unprotected back.

He Blitzd. The bright energized attack forced from the gloves on Kiisho's hands missed the Raven entirely and instead punched into the ground beyond.

A plane of reishi had immediately gathered into existence beneath his feet and whisked him off to his destination. His greatly accelerated foot speed and force left slightly glowing prints where he had been standing, the stone of the groud heated almost to the point of melting. Just as Kiisho had moments before Gaius reappeared behind his opponent, albeit without the characteristic accompanying swish or static. The quick movement of the Bount was slightly slower than Shunpo but much harder to detect. Only about a meter away the spear tip on his left shoulder fired off. Trailing a thin cable the metal tip rocketed forward, ripping the air as it passed. The force of this attack was easily enough to break through several of some of the strongest Shielding Kido. And it was aimed directly between the arrogant Shinigami's shoulderblades.

Had Kiisho been a person who was prone to standing still while waiting for his enemy to make a move, or had he been a person who was intent on using a single attack, Gaius' little harpoon would have actually been able to cause some damage. As it stands, neither case was true, and by the time Gaius had moved, Kiisho had done the same, anticipating the predictable movement behind, made even more predictable by the fact that he was using reishi planes to move himself, and Kiisho was acutely aware of every single particle of reishi's activity within the greater area. As Gaius touched down behind him, he pivoted on the front of his left foot, turning at around a half second before the harpoon left the Bount's shoulder, and moving him entirely out of the way, while simultaneously turning him to face the man.
"How little you understand.. insignificant bug.." His voice was a condescending drone, essentially mocking the bount. "For one, your statement was incorrect if only for the fact that I am taller than you." Halfway through his sentence, he flashed backwards, putting a good seven meters between the two of them. "How silly of me to assume that bount would have brains.. it seems Ran Tao should have dedicated more time to your intelligence, and less to your love of playing with dolls." He smirked, at this point obviously making fun of bount on a whole. "Now, just die, and begone, I want nothing more to do with you." He snapped his right hand upwards and forwards, his mouth rapidly forming the words to an incantation, low enough that no one could hear it, at such a rate that by the time he had his hand at chest height, and palm facing Gaius' current position, the incantation was done, and he was forming the words to the spell itself. "Hadou no hachi-juu-hachi, Hiryuugekizokushintenraihou!" Much to Kiisho's all-to-apparent surprise, the kidou did.. nothing. A wisp of smoke rose from the center of his palm, and his bright eyes stared at his hand in disbelief. "Impossible.. my shikai must be preventing me from using high-level kidou due to the compression.." He was mostly talking to himself at this point, and seemed to be completely ignoring Gaius.

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

When the Bount was done speaking, it was also this time when Kei Aoi sheathed his wakizashi and then faced his foe before him. Several Shinigami of the Fourth Division gasped in shock when they saw the captain turn around and was on the verge on dashing into the scene, perhaps to persuade Kei to fight the enemy. "We, the Fourth Division, is not here to promote the act of hostile between figures. On the contrary, we are here to promote the welfare of the health of those before us, our allies and comrades." Kei Aoi said gently as he watched the skirmish between Hayashi and Gaius, which had been becoming faster than ever. Then, he turned his head to Powchii and then scanned his entirety once more. Strangely seeming, Powchii didn't seem to be in the mood to fight and that Kei thought that perhaps he was saying the truth. He was merely here to "observe".

The captain then faced at the white figure. "In the end, every action of the Gotei elite branches off into the protection of Seireitei." Kei Aoi said at her. "After all, you came here and intruded the grounds of the Shinigami. Adding up to this, your presence," he gestured to Gaius. "Is hostile in nature."

Kei Aoi started to walk off from Powchii's presence and closer to Tomoya and the rest of the Fourth Division. "Tomoya-kun, please pay attention to the enemy." Kei Aoi ordered gently at his subordinate. Then, he turned to the direction of Hayashi and Gaius. "However, I do warn you Hamada-sama..." Kei began, not even turning a glance at the Bount. "The moment you raise your arms against us, then, we will be forced to retaliate with your actions. We may not seem like this but we are, after all, a part of a military institution; we are also designed for combat in some way or the other." He added in a sharp tone and then released a massive burst of reiatsu that began to choke everything around Kei. Even the Shinigami around him began to tremble as they felt the massive surge of power around them. On the other hand, the captain used the pressure to imply what he said that the Fourth may respond to hostile actions.

Powchii nodded, placing the ebony chess piece back into it's spot-holder, "Understood Aoi-Taichou." he said using his actual title rather then simply referring to him by his first name. Powchii then turned his attention to his Queen, "I think it best you return... As a show of good faith." he said the last part with an eerie smile.

The Queen let out an annoyed sigh before shrugging her shoulder and submissively lowering her weapon. Her energy exploded violently outward before sucking back in at rapid speed, a flash of golden light blurred her from sight and once her energy became near undetectable the light faded and a tiny ivory chess piece fell to the ground.

Powchii smirked, "Your cooperation is much appreciated..." he said as the bount crest on his chest shone brightly for a moment before flashing green forming a triangular reishi plate under the small ivory chess piece which flitted gently towards Powchii like a piece of paper in the wind. Powchii lifted the small piece off of the green plate and placed it next to the ebony piece, the pair starkly contrasted with one another, but their energies resonated and with a stern snap the case was shut sending a wave of energy that reverberated with Kei's. Powchii carefully slid it back into his jacket pocket, "I, unlike the others, have the ability to reason." he said placing his palm on the green plate of reishi, forcing it down a few feet allowing him to step onto it. The green plate sagged under Powchii's weight, "Up and up... These battles will soon be over, it's no mystery who will prevail, but the suspense of said outcome is intense." he said as a large gust erupted from under the green plate lifting him high above Gaius and Hayashii's battle. His body carefully panned in and out, darting ever so carefully across the field of war. A smile and laugh erupted over and out of his mouth when Hayashii had blundered on an epic scale, "One should know his own weakness and strength before scrutinizing another own skills!" he said with a manic laugh, his excitement caused a large updraft of wind.

((I was waiting to see if Tomoya would ever post again, but this has drawn on too long.))

"Oh well." Gaius wasn't really bothered by the lack of witty banter he usually prefferred accompanied his slaughtering of foes. After all, when a cockroach squeaked all its best insults at the man standing over it, a large boot about to crush out its life, the man would just continue and crush it, who cared about the opinion of a bug?

He ignored the mumblings of the poor creature before him and cast a quick eye over the changed scene...Further destruction, his dodged harpoon had utterly obliterated another block section of buildings. The Shinigami was...unscathed, a poor choice on his part but not everyone was as wise as the Ravens."So you can detect reishi as well? That is astute of you, fighting Bounts as you are." It really had been that difficult to deduce, the way he had followed the Blitz so easily, his easy manipulation and detection of budding energies. "Is it your Shikai that allows you this skill or is it some freak accident that occured when you were but a child?"

"But enough of this, you say we play to much with Dolls, but I havn't allowed mine out to play yet. Would you like to meet him? He seems quite eager to meet you." With a crick of his neck to each side the Spears vanished, a flick of his wrist and the Shield dissipated, a quickly clenched fist crushed the ring into a fine dust that quickly blew away. Standing calmly in the air he reached slowly and gripped his ancient gladius, his fingers wrapping around the heavy blade one by one. With a quick rasp it was in his hand and in the air before him. With a swift motion he held it in a reverse grip, the jeweled pommel pointing towards the sky. "Zeige Dich." The jewel flashed, the symbol in it's center becoming more apparent. With all the sweet time in the world Gaius reached towards the jewel and covered it with his hand, a short click later and it was in his palm. Already it was beginning to chill the air around him. With a wink he threw it high into the air where its evolution would continue.

They wouldn't see it but it would quickly grow, glowing a bright blue, whisps of mist escaping from cracks that quickly formed on the surface. Blasts and waves of radiating cold regularly pulsed from it as it rose and then fell through the sky. Within moments it would be approximately -20 degrees. Everyone would begin to feel the chill, their breath would freeze and soon their muscles would begin to attempt to warm them by quivering and shivering. When it reached apogee and began falling once more small vines and roots would crawl out of the interior and cover the surface of the jewel. Then it was about the size of a large clenched fist. By the time it was halfway to the ground it would be larger than a basketball. When it hit the ground it would be over the size of an exercise ball. It hit the ground, the roots and jewel colliding with the stone and dirt, spread out with the heavy impact and immediately burrowed down, hiding themselves for a few moments more from attack.

"He'll be out soon, I suggest you prepare." Gaius sat down crosslegged in mid air and began casting about for his next target...That fool of a medical Taicho hadn't left. His voice boomed out, the sound amplified to carry farther and louder by his manipulation of the abundant reishi in the air. "Kei Aoi! Get your lazy A** over here! I havn't killed you yet, stop chatting like a frightened little nurse and assist your comrade before you both die!"

((My apologies on the behalf of Tomoya. She was ill some time ago and had to be hospitalized. Unbeknown to her, we have been expecting post from her; hopefully, she responds some time soon.))

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

By the time the Raven named Gaius mentioned Kei, the Fourth Division captain was stepping towards the side of Hayashi. This was extremely contrary to what Hayashi ordered the other captain earlier but Kei couldn't bear the fact that he have to leave the latter to his own devices. Of course, Gaius seemed to be a horribly strong figure and that fact remained that two Gotei elite captains would not be enough for him. But of course, Kei kept this to himself. After witnessing the earlier failure of Hayashi to perform Kido, Kei was quite confident that he might be able to help the Twelfth Division captain in ChiyudĊ or perhaps a few barrier spells.

However, Kei knew all too well that his earlier premature pull of his own Bankai skill, the barrier from earlier to block one of Gaius' initial attacks, caused him a considerable amount of reiryoku. The captain sighed deeply for a moment, gauging himself on how far he would go at this battle. "Hayashi-sama, please don't tell me to leave this place. Seeing that the enemy has a lot of things to offer, I cannot leave you all alone here." Kei Aoi said gently, pulling his wakizashi from its sheath once again. "I will support you as much as I can." He added and then made a steady battle stance.

And for the first time since the attack began, Kei Aoi waved his wakizashi as to formally release his Shikai. Then, he spun it in the air like a baton and proceeded to its transformation for the second time. Then, he pointed his sword once to Gaius and then went back to his battle stance. "Forgive me, Gaius-sama, but you won't kill anyone this day or perhaps what's more to follow." Kei Aoi said softly, giving the Raven a slight frown.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 24, 2011 2:15 am

Powchii smirked at Kei, "My, you must still be at a loss from your earlier escapades..." he said hinting at the fact that Kei was missing a substantial amount of his earlier reiryoku. Powchii's small plate lowered itself to Kei and Hayashi's level so he could look them both in the eye, "Kei... You asked me if I was truelly here to spectate the death of my kind... While it is true, at the same time it was only half true." he said hopping off of his plate, which remained stationary, the wind under it blew a warm refreshing breeze through the battlefield which clashed with the cold from Gaius's approaching doll. He brushed his hair from his eyes, a blue spark shone from his left and a red from the right, "I am here to collect from them their powers. I want them to die indefinitely, for once they are, I can collect from them their precious reiryoku." he said as a smile spread across his face. The crest imprinted on his chest shone through his jacket, "I won't directly influence the fight, because if I intervene it might rob me of precious reiryoku... I mean at any point I could have prevented the deaths of many of your subordinates... but had I, I wouldn't have been able to suck the essence from their bodies." his smile became dark...

Powchii's smile faded, "I'm a parasite, I live off of the energies of others." his crest turned blue then red then began to fade between the two colors. His face turned to Hayashi, "You seem strong enough, so why don't you give everything you've got and put this to a hasty end?" he turned back to Kei and offered him a hand shake, around his hand the reishi around it became visibly luminescent, "Take some of what you lost earlier... Even out the odds." he said his face was very serious and showed a sense of the responsibility he was entrusting to Hayashi and Kei.

Mistress Tomoya

Fashionable Rogue

PostPosted: Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:09 pm

While Tomoya had been told by Kei to watch his enemies, there was something else that also had a obligation to do. That other obligation was healing his fellow squad members. Tomoya hands were quick, and precise has he assessed each situation presented to him , and quickly adapted if he did not adapt it could mean the death of a dear comrade.Tomoya wasn't a fighter anymore his anger was all , but gone. He was what he was best at he was a healer. While he had yet to master any of the healing kidous despite his rank Tomoya had a natural healing reiatsu of his own. While it wasn't has strong as any of the healing spells it was enough to sooth, and numb the pain his patients were feeling.

Tomoya work meticulously not stopping, not faltering till he had seen to everyone that had been harmed. It was only then that he could focus his entire attention of Gaius , and in truth his was deathly afraid , but not for himself he was afraid of losing Kei. While it wasn't has clear as his love for his late sister he still loved Kei. To lose Kei on the same day as he lost his sister a year ago that would send Tomoya into the darkest pit of hell imaginable. If he could he would save Kei even if it cost him his own life that was how strong his love was for Kei.

"So your that determined you would die for that man, truthfully I'm not surprised I have seen your love for him, but that love won't be enough , you need strength to fight a man as determine as determined as that bount, I can give you that strength I believe you are ready , but be careful use it wrongly , and it will be more then you who suffer remember that."

Tomoya merely nodded his head as he felt the pure reiatsu of Karafuru Hana run through his veins. As it flowed through him he felt himself grow stronger , and even if in that moment he was only slightly stronger then he was before it was all he needed. That wasn't all Karafuru Hana gave him in his mind a new name appeared in his head echoing outwards vibrating through his skull. That name was Hana o Kettei The Determined Flower.
